Abstract

The article presents a study on the relation between impaired theory of mind (ToM) and insecure attachment styles in persons with mental disorders such as schizophrenia as well as in their healthy peers and siblings. Topics include the use of the Psychosis Attachment Measure and the Conflicting Beliefs and Emotions to acquire the relevant data, the use of statistical tools in the software IBM SPSS 20.0 to evaluate the data, and the finding that avoidant attachment was associated with ToM.
