2. The effect of Islam and science integration implementing on science learning in Indonesia: a meta-analysis.

Abstract

National education aims to produce dedicated, religious, moral individuals and cognitive intelligence. Applying students’ Islamic values through integrating Islam and science in science learning is one of the strategies that can be used to achieve these goals. Integrating Islam and science in science learning can direct the formation of knowledge about science concepts and improve students’ attitudes and spiritual skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of integrating Islam and science in science learning. This study explores the effect of integrating Islam and science in science learning with meta-analysis research by calculating effect size (ES). Research data were obtained from 38 studies from national and international journals. The results showed that integrating Islam and science in science learning has a significant impact, as seen from the ES of 0.658. It is explained that science learning integrating Islam and science can be an alternative learning method. Integrating Islam and science into science learning is an alternative educational method to achieve national education goals that can increase students’ intellectual and spiritual values. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of knowledge sharing on competency development, knowledge sharing on individual creativity, and competency development on individual creativity for cadets. Theoretical framework: Knowledge sharing is a culture of social interaction that involves knowledge, experience and skills between members in an organization. Competency is a factor in achieving an organizational goal so that individual performance can increase. For creativity can be assumed as human power or ability to create something and then become the final result of a person's thinking. Design/methodology/approach: This type of research is explanatory research conducted with the quantitative approach with 50 respondents from cadets at Politeknik Penerbangan Surabaya. The data analysis technique is used structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis with partial least square (PLS) tools. Findings: This results are knowledge sharing has positive effect on the Competency Development, knowledge sharing has positive effect on Individual Creativity, and competency development has positive effect on Individual Creativity for cadets. Research, Practical & Social implications: This research contributes to the application of teacher performance in learning class to improve competency development on individual creativity so that learning is more effective. Originality/value: The results obtained in this study are innovative and relevant for lecture, in the context of knowledge sharing, competency development, and individual creativity for cadets.

10. Typology of the reality of gossiping actions in the campus social system.

Abstract

The campus world is an intellectual world that upholds ethics and morality. The reality of gossiping is a global phenomenon in the campus social system. Gossip refers to unverified news or information about a person disseminated to other individuals unofficially. This article describes the typology of student gossip in the campus social system. This article is the result of research through the application of survey methods with research variables, namely interesting experience (PM), topic gossip (Tp), reason (Al) gossiping about gossip target object (OSG) and purpose (Tj) to gossip about OSG. When the only respondent gives a variety of reasons and is different from the others, the respondent is included in the category of exclusive gossip actor (AGE). A gossip actor who only has one reason & purpose but is the only one out of many respondents is categorized as a focused gossip actor (AGT). Gossip actors grouped with more than one respondent with one reason & purpose are categorized as simple gossip actors (AGS). Meanwhile, gossip actors are grouped with more than one respondent with more than one reason & purpose, so these actors are categorized as gossip actors in droves (AGB). The world of gossip can be fragmented and mixed/overlapped between the complexities of roles played by actors in the social system. Abstract

The student world and the campus social system are two different things. The world of students is not entirely within the campus social system. Students become elements of the social system when they apply student affairs and lectures. Students' world is everyday life, and the reality is mostly in the campus social system. One of the worlds of students' daily lives in the form of a campus social system is the reality of gossiping. Students' reality pattern of gossiping based on the research results by applying the survey method obtained a continuous pattern starting from zero from gossiping to real gossip. The gossip pattern is obtained from the presence or absence of the gossip factor in configuring the gossip pattern. The gossip factor consists of interesting experiences (PM), topic (Tp), reasons (Al), and goals (Tj). The gossip reality patterns found are as follows: 1) Non-Gossip (harmonious), 2) Latent/Potential PM Gossip (+/-), 3) Latent/Tp Potential Gossip (+/-), 4) Latent/PM Potential Gossip and Tp (+/-), 5) PM Trigger Gossip (+/-), 6) Tp Trigger Gossip (+/-), 7) Real gossip, and 8) pseudo/fake gossip. Based on the gossip pattern, what goes into the act of gossiping is a pattern that fulfills reasons and goals that work simultaneously or synergistically. The gossip pattern with all gossip factors equal to zero is a harmonious conversation (non-gossip). The opposite of non-gossip is real gossip (all gossip factors work in full). Latent gossip is that there is no gossiping act because there are no reasons (Al) and goals (Tj) for gossiping even though the gossip actor owns the PM and Tp factor. Latent gossip is an actor's effort not to build or find reasons and goals to gossip about the gossip target object (OSG). Vague gossip (non-category) is gossip that has a reason (+/-) and a purpose (+/-) but does not have a concrete PM and Tp. PM and Tp against OSG are kept secret, and only the gossip actors in question know about it. Gossip as a social act consists of three types, namely 1) the act of gossiping because it triggers interesting experiences (PM), 2) the act of gossiping because of topic triggers, and 3) actual gossip (real gossip). Abstract

This study aims to investigate the academic culture and task commitment toward lecturers’ innovativeness. Quantitative survey methods were adopted. To collecting the data, a questionnaire and path analysis were used. Two hundred fifteen lecturers at several universities in Jakarta (Indonesia) participated in the study. The results indicate that many academic cultures positively give direct influences to lecturers’ innovativeness, and task commitment positively gives direct influences to lecturers’ innovativeness. The study concludes that training and mastery of the use of media are needed to improve the competence and innovation of lecturers in conducting scientific research.

Abstract

Efforts to revive the nagari and babaliak to surau require the role of the traditional leadership of Minangkabau, especially Malin as a religious leader in pasukuan and indigenous peoples. The low capacity of Malin in carrying out his duties and functions is one of the obstacles in realizing the development of nagari in West Sumatra. The purpose of this research is; (1) to describe and analyze the factual model of Malin's training in the nagari community, (2) to design and develop the Malin training conceptual model, (3) to determine the validity of the Malin training conceptual model, and (4) to test the effectiveness of Malin's training hypothetical model, (5) to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the Malin training implementation in the Rambatan Subdistrict, Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this development is to produce a final model of Malin's training based on a feasible and effective problem for improving its tasks and functions in the community. Research and Development (R&D) research method by following the steps of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluate) model. Data collection techniques using interviews, documentation studies, observations and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using quantitative techniques with test parametric statistics (t) for two independent samples and qualitative techniques by describing empirical data from preliminary studies. Model validation is done by experts and practitioners. Trial activities in addition to testing the implementation of the model and the device are also to determine the feasibility of the model used, so as to produce the expected product. The model evaluation results are used to show, benefit, practicality and feasibility of the model developed so that the final training model is obtained. Abstract

This study is conducted in the context of developing values education through in-depth study on the educational phenomenon in Islamic education institutions in Indonesia. The study aims to formulate an integrative values education model for schools, especially Islamic schools (madrasah) in the context of character building. To attain the target, empirical data is collected through a case study at Al-Basyariyah Islamic Boarding School in Bandung. The techniques used for data collection are participatory observation, interview and document analysis. Data analysis is by interpretative-hermeneutics approach. Findings show that the model of education in Al-Basyariyah Islamic boarding institution combines two modes of Islamic education systems, the Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) system and the Madrasah Tsanawiyyah/Aliyah system integrated as one. Islamic boarding schools strives to build students’ characters through Islam by applying a strict code of discipline and conduct. Education activities are based on spiritual values that emanate from God’s goodness, love, and benevolence, and on the responsibility of human beings. In conclusion, an Integrative Values Education Model in Modern Islamic Boarding School can be formulated as a systemic pattern of the education process integrating all education components and sub-components (goals, human-dimensions, subject-matter, methods, educational facilities, agents of education, environment and evaluation system) harmoniously, and eliminating conflict, based on religious norms and consciousness, in process nurturing students towards Islamic self-actualization based on both religious knowledge and secular knowledge.
