The analysis of the structure of the UC AIMS and the interrelation of its subsystems is carried out. The perspective of the development of the UC AIMS system by creating a Situational Control Center for ordering and consolidating the interaction of various control subsystems included in the overall structure is considered. The activity of the situation center allows to reduce the workload of employees of departments and the audit apparatus, resulting in a reduction in production costs, improvement of quality indicators, as well as obtaining a certain economic effect. The UC AIMS information and analytical system is aimed at improving the level of technical condition of the track and infrastructure in good condition. The creation of a unified information environment is aimed at increasing reliability and optimizing costs when planning travel work. The creation of a Situational Center is aimed at dividing the initial information into true and false at the stage of its preliminary analysis before the start of calculations. This separation will allow us to consider the stage of preparation for computational iterations in automatic mode. This can significantly reduce the number of calculated iterations performed (approximately by 3-5%), by reducing the time for processing the array of source data and increase the efficiency of the information and analytical unit of the UC AIMS system (approximately by 6-10%).

Basil Ocimum L. belongs to the perspective aromatic and essential-oil plants. Its green mass and essential oils can be successfully used in different sectors of economy including food industry. In 56 samples of basil Ocimum L. having different ecological and geographic origin the author determined the content and yield of essential oils. The study of the taken basil cultivars shows that the content of essential oils in different types of basil (sweet basil – Ocimum basilicum L., holy basil – Ocimum tenuiflorum L., camphor basil – Ocimum kilimandscharicum Willd., hoary basil – Ocimum canum Sims.) was 0.28–0.83% when its yield was 24.0–314.6 kg/ha and green mass yield during technological maturity phase (massive flowering) was 0.51–5.08 kg/m2. By means of gas liquid chromatography method the author performed compositional and anantiometric analysis of the composition of the essential oils obtained from the new basil varieties such as Ocimum L. (Magiya, Volodar, Nastena, Istochnik), bred in Belorussian State Agricultural Academy and catalogued in the National Register of Cultivars in the Republic of Belarus. As a result of the research the author determined that essential oil samples obtained from the new basil cultivars have up to 20 components. The main components are linalool, methyl chavicol, - and -pinenes, -terpineol, eugenol, geraniol, geranial, geranyl acetate, thymol, neral, carvone, carvacrol, limonene and 1.8-cineol. Enantiomers are present in essential oil components - and -pinenes, limonene and linalool.

A new physical method of Cd1–хZnхTe-detectors passivation is proposed — the treatment of crystal surface by a laser ablation (LA) with subsequent photostimulated passivation (PhSP), during wich a high-resistance oxide layer is formed on it’s surface after the surface cleaning under intensive light irradiation effect. It is shown that the method of LA+PhSP is manufacturable and in comparison with PhSP and PhESP methods developed earlier provides a thick, homogeneous and high-oxide films, which significantly increases the surface resistivity of Cd1–хZnхTe samples and reduces leakage currents in them.

Strong thermostable oxide interference coatings transparent in the visible and IR spectral regions are obtained on the surface of active elements of ZnSe:Cr2+-lasers by the method of photothermal oxidation. The mechanical strength of such coatings is more than by a factor of 1,5 higher in comparison with the corresponding characteristic of the coatings obtained by the method of thermal oxidation. In the generation band of Cr2+ ions (2…3 мm) the optical transmission of ZnSe:Cr2+ elements with the antireflection coatings reaches 95%.

Laser‐quality yttrium‐aluminum garnet single crystals doped with neodymium (YAG:Nd) of a concentration up to 1 at. % is grown by the method of horizontal directional crystallization from a molybdenum crucible in the protective reducing atmosphere based on argon, СО, and hydrogen. It is found that the content of carbon impurity in the grown crystals does not exceed 5·10−3 wt %, the content of molybdenum being on the level of 1.5·10−3 wt %. The optical quality of the crystals depends on the composition of the growth atmosphere and annealing. It is shown that, besides the bands of neodymium ion absorption, the crystals are characterized by the intense absorption in the UV edge of the spectrum at 370 nm wavelength, and by the wide absorption band with a maximum at 580 nm caused by formation of F and F+‐centers. The absorption at 370 and 580 nm can be eliminated by annealing. The structure perfection of the crystals is characterized by the rocking curve half‐width (β) which value varies within the limits of 10–14 arc. sec for (001) plane. Laser testing demonstrates the parameters comparable with those of YAG:Nd crystals grown by the Czochralski method from iridium crucible. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
