When Lehman Brothers went bankrupt in 2008, as in previous global financial crises, many workers became unemployed. The situation required that the government support non-regular workers who were not qualified to receive employment insurance. In 2011, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare established a law to support of employment of specified job seekers through the implementation of job training. The support system for job seekers has been created by this law with the aim of helping them to find a job faster by improving their skills through job training.Public Employment Security Offices or “Hello Work” gives job seekers “training in support of job seeking” for free in principle and increased benefits for doing the job training. However, only a few percent of specified job seekers applied to join the system, and the attendance rate for them has decreased year by year. We investigate the actual conditions of training in support of job seekers for each prefecture, discuss the problems of the support system, and make suggestions for improvement.

The mass media and people related to education have argued about the results of the Japanese national survey of academic performance which the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology administered; paying attention to the low scores in Osaka prefecture. This paper, does not discuss countermeasures by prefectures, but analyzes the available quantitative data. By using multi regression analysis when letting academic performance be an objective variable, we find some effective explanatory variables. Also by factor analysis with factor loading amount, we can clarify the position of each prefecture and reveal the factors that affect the scores of students. We believe that this research can enable our compulsory education system to achieve higher scores in future.

When Lehman Brothers went bankrupt in 2008, as in previous global financial crises, we could see that all banks expanding internationally tended to have closer linkage with global markets to perform balance-sheets adjustments. In recent years, the Nikkei stock average has been influenced by international linkage a lot. We analyzed the movement of shareholders by using the data of the Japanese distribution of dividends to shareholders. From factor analysis for the transition of investment ratio of each department, we could explain the actions of investments. Also, we performed multiple regression analysis to analyze the linkagebetween the Nikkei stock average and foreign stock market indices using the Dow Jones average, the S&P500, and the SSE composite indices as explained variables. From these results, we succeeded in showing the international linkage of Nikkei stock average by using statistical data.

The cellular automaton was created by John Von Neumann and Stanislaw Marcin Ulam. What Von Neumann was interested in was a machine which could replicate itself and the first such machine in the logical world was the Neumann cellular automaton. Since then, the cellular automaton has been expanded to many fields such as biology, history, and complex systems. This paper suggests closed social structure models with the method based on the cellular automaton. We succeeded in finding some interesting facts using simulations. The results gained can be applied to models such as closed social structures nowadays or the existence of living creatures.

Instant noodles were invented in Japan in 1958. Since then more than one hundred billion meals of ramen noodles have been consumed all over the world. China, which consumes about half of the world consumption, is the biggest market. The biggest food company in China, Master Kong, was founded in 1992. Although the company has a short history, it has grown rapidly to reach almost the size of world-famous food companies such as Coca-Cola. We analyzed the consumption structure of instant noodles in Japan. Also, we analyzed the Chinese economy which has supported the high growth rate of Master Kong. Finally, after the analysis of the financial status of Master Kong in recent years, by comparing it to the Nisshin Foods Company, which invented instant noodles in Japan, we will discuss how Master Kong might be managed in the future.

Game theory is the study of mathematical models of competition and cooperation between rational decision-makers pioneered by Princeton mathematician John Von Neumann. His paper was followed by his 1944 book “Theory of Games and Economic Behavior” with Oskar Morgenstern. In this research, based on the Shapley value introduced by 2012 Nobel Economics prize-winner L.S. Shapley, we discuss how to divide the reward in a coalitional game depending on the relationships between the players. In this paper, we identify the relationship between two players, and define the value of the characteristic function depending on the state of that relationship. If the relationship is good, the value of the characteristic function is high. If the relationship is bad, that value goes down. We define a characteristic function to have these properties and discuss the strategy of each player. By applying the characteristic function, which depends on the relationship, we prove some properties that describe when a specific player’s reward will be the maximum or the minimum. In particular, the number who participate in this game is extended to four persons from three. When the number of participants increases by one, different situations develop with each player’s Shapley value changing from 33=27 to 36=729. We can discuss the strategy of each player by computation simulations with VBA （Microsoft Excel）.

In this paper, we propose to introduce the concept of exponential fuzzy number into a simple AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) model. The variety of the bottom “a” in the exponential fuzzy number has a big influence on the decision making of AHP method. We will discuss the optimal bottom“ a” which maximizes the difference of weights between two alternatives. In addition to the exponential fuzzy number, we let the AHP model include the concept of α-Cut. The optimal “α” means that membership functions of two alternatives do not intersect at level α. We have carried out all simulations. As a result, it was found that the tracks of intersections between two membership functions have three patterns. It is convinced that the optimal“ α” will become effective for all AHP models with exponential fuzzy number.

In Japan, the salaries of the parents are affected by their own education level and will affect the education and salary level of their children. The children whose parents graduated from university are easy to enter university than those whose parents have not gone beyond high school. Even if the children whose parents have not gone beyond high school can enter university, their salaries tend to be at lower level than the students whose parents graduated from university. We consider the cost of sonﾕs education as parentﾕs investment, and construct this model by using statistics of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. We discuss the model from the perspective of investment rate, the lowest educational level and standard of living, signaling function, and age difference between parents and children. In this model, we will prove that education and wages level tends to be fixed.
