The main value orientations of medical students are directly or indirectly associated with various components of health. On the other hand, the knowledge of the predominating effect of life style on health, hazards of nicotine and alcohol did not become a persuasion in the majority of students, and high value of health did not transform into motivation forits preservation. That is why special attention in the training of physicians should be paid to the formation of practical habits of fundamentals of healthy life style. Healthy life style, an obligatory component of professional status of a physician, promotes a higher general cognitive activity of students and formation of persuasion of future doctors in their obligatory personal involvement in the solution of the problem of healthy life style of the entire population.

A total of 750 pregnant women were examined by the blind screening method at terms of 7-16, 18-24, 28-36, 38-41 weeks and on day 2 after delivery. A high and medium-high reliable correlation between the laboratory instrumental parameters characterizing vascular disorders and pathological weight gain, symptoms of vascular dysfunction, transitory edema and proteinuria has been revealed. These symptoms were shown to occur not only in gestoses, but in cases with small-for-date fetuses, early detachment of normally positioned placenta, miscarriages, and prolonged gestation. Qualitative characteristics and time course of the studied symptoms in women with different course of gestation are presented. Early course of pathological gestation complicated by gestosis, small-for-date fetus, miscarriage, prolonged pregnancy, and preterm detachment of normal placenta is defined as the vascular syndrome of pregnancy.

To study the natural changes in cardiac diastolic function in ontogenesis at various stages of exercise adaptation, 65 males aged 10-17 years who go in for various kinds of sports developing primarily physical fitness have been examined. Long-term adaptation to cyclic muscular activity has been shown to result in a reduction in cardiovascular lability, an optimization of inclusion of myocardial functional reserves, and an increase in efficiency of using cardiac cycle time in response to myocardial restorative processes. High stages of exercise adaptation formed an additional mechanism responsible for diastolic filling at the expense of an atrial systole (an atrial mechanism of diastolic regulation).
