2. Silver nanoparticles synthesis by using cynomorium coccinum L ex-tracts

Abstract

An essential component of nanotechnology is the production, characterization, and utilization of biologically produced nanoparticles in various applications. The purpose of this research was to investigate the possibility of producing silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) by employing an aqueous extract of brown cynomorium coccinum L. To prepare the extract, 50 g of the ground plant was placed in 350 ml of ethanol at a concentration of 70% After 48 hours of reaction time at 80 degrees Celsius in ultrasonic water bath then 4 ml of extract were added to 10 ml of silver nitrate solution. it was seen that all of the silver ions had been completely reduced. During the incubation period, it was observed that the color of the reaction mixture changed from pale yellow to dark brown. This was due to the formation of silver nanoparticles in the reaction mixture, which has the ability to produce a particular color due to the specific properties that they possess. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) with energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) patterns all provided evidence that validated the creation of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). The Ag-NPs that were manufactured had a shape that was predominantly spherical and polydispersed. In comparison to more traditional approaches to the production of silver nanoparticles, the plant-mediated synthesis process looks to be a more practical, environmentally friendly, and straightforward option., Received: date: 28\6\2022 Accepted: date: 12\7\2022

Abstract

A new 1, 2, 3-trisubstituted-γ-lactams were designed and synthesized through the reaction of mono and bis imines with 3-(4-substituted phenyl) dihydrofuran-2, 5-dione to obtain a 1, 2, 3-trisubstituted-γ-lactams 4(a-h). Furthermore, this study examined the antioxidant activity of these synthesize compounds. Some of the synthesized compounds show high antioxidant effects, these effects examined by using 1,1diphenyl-2picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free radical scavenging examination. Cellular toxicity has been studied compounds 4 (a-h) on the cell lines (MCF-7) using the MTT assay that revealed the presence of a toxic effect of the cells with the highest activity of the compound 4a on (MCF-7) cell lines. Abstract

Objective: Nausea and vomiting (NVP) are among the most common symptoms during pregnancy. NVP causes emotional and psychological distress and can have a profound impact on a woman's quality of life (QoL). Material and Method: Vitamin D3 and Vitamin B6,se and electrolytes (Mg+2,K+) levels were determined in first and second trimesters in 120 women suffering from nausea and vomiting of pregnancy,30 pregnant women free of symptoms, age identical between the ages of (17-45) years. Results: Vitamin D3 Vitamin B6, K+, Se and Mg+2 in the blood showed a significant decrease in all patients as compared to control group (P ≤ 0.05). Conclusion: In patients with NVP and NP we find a significant reduction in level of Vit.D3, and decrease in level of serum Vit. B6,K+, Se and Mg+2. In first trimester found a decrease in levels of Vit.D3, Vit.B6 and K+ more from second trimester,while in first trimester found an increase in levels Se, Mg+2 more from second trimester. Abstract

Bronchial asthma, a chronic inflammatory condition, often triggered by allergy and oxidative stress, initiate lipid peroxidation and enhanced release of arachidonic acid from cell membrane. The effects of sex hormones on asthma symptoms and progression are complex and seem to be particularly associated with the fluctuation dynamics of the hormonal levels. Therefore, we have conducted this study. 50 clinically diagnosed bronchial asthma cases for Testosterone and oxidative stress levels were compared with 50 healthy controls. The results showed a significant decrease in serum Testosterone levels in all patients in comparison with control group (P£0.05). Whereas, serum levels of the (MDA) and (CP) were significantly increased in all patients in comparison with control group (P£0.05). No significant difference in concentration of serum TF in all patients in comparison with control group (P£0.05). Bronchial asthma decreases the levels of both testosterone in males. Lipid peroxidation associates with bronchial asthma. Disorder the antioxidant system in patients with bronchial asthma, according to the levels of ceruloplasmin and transferrin.
