Traditional filling disc assembly requires a lot of manual operations and the efficiency of filling disc is not high. Human-machine interface (HMI) and image positioning system of the filling disc machine are developed in this paper, and the whole system and structure are studied on the programmable control technology. The machine realizes the functions of data real-time collection and fast accurate localization. Equipment has reached the accurate filling disc, and got an excellent application in the enterprises.

Polyether imides (PEI) and nanoattapulgite particles organically synthesized by the active silane containing epoxide groups (OAT) were used to modify the epoxy resin (ER). The effect of the concentration of OAT on the morphology, thermal and mechanical properties of ER/PEI/OAT nanocomposites was explored in the present work. The microscopic structure of nanocomposites was investigated by Scanning electric microscopy (SEM). The results showed that a homogeneous nanoattapulgite organically-modified by silane in the polymeric matrix was obtained. SEM images showed that the morphology transformation increased with the increase of OAT content, which would lead the improvement of the impact strengths of nanocomposites. The results of mechanical and thermal measurements indicated that the introduction of PEI and OAT into the epoxy resulted in the great improvement of the impact strength and storage module. With the OAT concentration increasing, the glass translation temperature (Tg) value of nanocomposites was gradually increased. Additionally, the results of thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) revealed that thermal stability of nanocomposites was apparently improved in comparison to the epoxy resin systems.

In this investigation, the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were dispersed in an interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) based on acrylate and cycloaliphatic epoxy resin (CER). The influences of the external electric field on the MWCNTs dispersion and the microstructure of host matrix were evaluated by means of optical microscopy, scanning electric microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM), respectively. The microscopy measurements showed that the distribution of the MWCNTs depended strongly on the properties of the applied electric field. Applying AC electric field to the liquid MWCNTs/thermoset systems during curing stage could redistribute the MWCNTs, which arranged them in chain-like structures and oriented fibrous inclusions parallel to the applied electric field. However, the similar phenomenon was not observed in DC electric field. From the observations of AFM measurement, it was found that the utilization of the external electric field resulted in the nanostructured twophase structures in the resulting MWCNTs/thermoset nanocomposites. These novel electric-field-induced morphology transformations were mainly attributed to the curing process under the applied electric fields. The relationships between the microstructures and various physical properties of nanocomposites were also presented in this paper. The resulting nanocomposites displayed the interesting dielectric properties and the thermal stability properties, which significantly depended on their special microstructures of inclusions and the host matrix.

Virtual CNC machining is test cutting and process optimization of virtual reality before production, which overcomes defects of interferences and collisions while the real workpiece is fabricated. The 3D scenario of Virtual CNC machining system is constructed by 3DS and Open GL on VC++6.0 platform. This system mainly encompasses modules of machine modeling, simulation of virtual cutting and its control panel. Key technologies solve 3DS file reading, simulation control by Open GL back buffer and implementation of control items on control panels respectively, so practicability of CNC system is improved greatly.

Polymetallic nodules and crusts are two of the most important mineral deposits in the ocean. They are rich in rare earth elements (REEs), iron, manganese, copper, cobalt, nickel, and other useful metals. This paper discussed the analysis of 25 nodule and crust samples collected from the South China Sea, the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans. The samples were analyzed for REE content by ICP-MS/AES. The average REE concentration was found to be 1096.96×10−6 in the nodules and 1623.88×10−6 in the crusts. Both of these values are much higher than those recorded in Earth's dry-land crust and sedimentary rocks. This REE enrichment is mainly controlled by the absorption of ferromanganese oxides and clay minerals in the nodules and crusts and the high levels of REEs in seawater and sediments. High cerium enrichment in the nodules and crusts may lead to more effective exploitation of REEs in the future.

The apparent kinetics and cure behavior of novel interpenetrating polymer networks (IPNs) based on cycloaliphatic epoxy resin (CER) and tri-functional acrylate have been investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The results of DSC measurements show that the curing reaction of the TMPTMA component is much earlier than that of the CER component, which can lead to the formation of the IPNs. In contrast to neat anhydride-CER system, the anhydride-CER/TMPTMA systems exhibit relatively lower curing temperatures. The activation energy for initiating the reaction of the anhydride-CER system slightly increases, whereas the activation energy for propagating the reaction markedly reduces during the full IPNs formation. The FT-IR spectroscopic changes are interpreted in terms of curing mechanism of CER and TMPTMA components. The extent of reaction is calculated from FT-IR absorption bands, which depends on the reactive group concentration. The experimental results of FT-IR measurements are in good agreements with those of DSC measurements. The rheological behavior of anhydride-CER/TMPTMA systems during IPNs formation is studied in this paper. It is confirmed that the introduction of TMPTMA monomer into anhydride-epoxy resin has significant effects on the rheological behavior of the system.
