Perfect synchronization in LoRa communications between Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and ground base stations is still challenging, despite the potential use of atomic clocks in LEO satellites, which offer high precision. Even by incorporating atomic clocks in LEO satellites, their inherent precision can be leveraged to enhance the overall synchronization process, perfect synchronization is infeasible due to a combination of factors such as signal propagation delay, Doppler effects, clock drift and atmospheric effects. These challenges require the development of advanced synchronization techniques and algorithms to mitigate their effects and ensure reliable communication from / to LEO satellites. However, maintaining acceptable levels of synchronization rather than striving for perfection, quasisynchronous (QS) communication can be adopted which maintains communication reliability, improves resource utilization, reduces power consumption, and ensures scalability as more devices join the communication. Overall, QS communication offers a practical, adaptive, and robust solution that enables LEO satellite communications to support the growing demands of IoT applications and global connectivity. Connected autonomous vehicles (CAV) constitute an important application of future-oriented traffic management .A vehicular system dominated by fully autonomous vehicles requires a robust and efficient vehicle-to-everything (V2X) infrastructure that will provide sturdy connection of vehicles in both short and long distances for a large number of devices, requiring high spectral efficiency (SE). Power domain non-orthogonal multiple access (PD-NOMA) technique has the potential to provide the required high SE levels. In this paper, a vehicular PD-NOMA testbed is implemented using software defined radio (SDR) nodes. The main concerns and their corresponding solutions arising from the implementation are highlighted. The bit error rates(BER) of vehicles with different channel conditions are measured for mobile and stationary cases. The extent of the estimation errors on the success rate beyond the idealized theoretical analysis view is investigated and the approaches to alleviate these errors are discussed. In this paper, the performance of a power domain downlink multiple-input multiple-output non-orthogonal multiple access system in dual-hop full-duplex (FD) relaying networks is investigated over Nakagami-$m$ fading channels by considering the channel estimation error and feedback delay. Particularly, in the investigated system, the base station equipped with multiple antennas transmits information to all mobile users by applying conventional transmit antenna selection/Alamouti-space-time block coding scheme with the help of a dedicated FD amplify-and-forward relay. The received signals at mobile users are combined according to maximal-ratio combining technique to exploit benefits of receive diversity. In order to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed system, outage probability (OP) is investigated and tight lower bound expressions are derived for the obtained OP. Moreover, asymptotic analyses are also conducted for ideal and practical conditions to provide further insights about the outage behavior in the high signal-to-noise ratio region. In this work, a non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) based transmission between two sources and two end-users is examined over independent non-identically distributed (i.n.i.d.) slow Nakagami-$m$ fading channels, where a single relay using decode-and-forward (DF) protocol is selected out of a set of full-duplex/half-duplex (FD/HD) multiple relays in accordance with the quality of service criterion. Two relay selection (RS) strategies, selecting a relay to maximize data rate of user 1 at selected relay and selecting a relay out of a set of relays providing service quality for user 1 to maximize data rate of user 2, are analyzed. Additionally, not only perfect successive interference cancellation (pSIC) but also imperfect SIC (ipSIC) is considered. The exact and asymptotic outage probability (OP) expressions are derived and validated via Monte Carlo simulation technique. Unlike existing works, our expressions are unique and valid for all cases such as FD and HD together with pSIC and ipSIC, i.e. expressions are not given separately but in a single compact form. Effect of each component such as pSIC, ipSIC, and self-interference (SI) for FD transmission on error floor of OP is demonstrated. This paper analyzes the performance of maximum-ratio transmission (MRT)/maximum-ratio combining (MRC) scheme in a dual-hop non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) full-duplex (FD) relay networks in the presence of residual hardware impairments (RHIs). The effects of channel estimation errors (CEEs) and imperfect successive interference cancellation are also considered for a realistic performance analysis. In the network, the base station and multiple users utilize MRT and MRC, respectively, while a dedicated relay consisting of two antennas, one for receiving and the other for broadcasting, operates in amplify-and-forward mode. For performance criterion, exact outage probability (OP) expression is derived for Nakagami-m fading channels. Furthermore, a tight lower bound and asymptotic expressions are also derived to provide more insights into the obtained OP in terms of diversity order and array gain. The obtained numerical results demonstrate the importance of loop-interference cancellation process at FD relay in order for the investigated system to perform better than half-duplex-NOMA counterpart. Also, a performance trade-off between the MRT and MRC schemes is observed in the presence of CEEs among users. Furthermore, it is shown that RHIs have a significant effect on the performance of users with lower power coefficients, however it does not change the diversity order. The antenna selection (AS) in non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks is still a challenging problem since finding optimal AS solution may not be available for all channel realizations and has quite computational complexity when it exists. For this reason, in this paper, we develop a new suboptimal solution, majority based transmit antenna selection (TAS-maj), with significant reduction in computational complexity. The TAS-maj basically selects the transmit antenna with the majority. It is more efficient when compared to previously proposed suboptimal AS algorithms, namely max-max-max (A^3) and max-min-max (AIA) because these schemes are merely interested in optimizing the performance of the strongest and weakest users, respectively at the price of worse performance for the remaining users. On the other hand, the TAS-maj scheme yields better performance for more than half of mobile users in the NOMA networks. In this paper, we consider a multiple-input multiple-output communication system, where all the nodes are equipped with multi-antenna. Besides the TAS-maj is employed at the base station, a maximal ratio combining (MRC) is also employed at each mobile user in order to achieve superior performance. This paper studies the performance of a downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) based cooperative network with maximal ratio transmission/receive antenna selection (MRT/RAS) over Nakagami-m fading channels in the presence of channel estimation errors (CEEs). In the system, a base station communicates with multiple mobile users through a half duplex channel state information based amplify-and-forward relay. All nodes are equipped with multiple antennas and the hybrid diversity technique MRT/RAS is employed in both hops. The outage behavior of the system is investigated by driving closed-form expression for outage probability (OP). In addition, the corresponding lower and upper bounds of the derived OP are obtained. Moreover, the behavior of the system is studied in high signal-to-noise ratio region by obtaining an error floor value in the presence of CEE as well as achieving diversity and array gains in the absence of CEE. Finally, the analytical results in the presence and absence of the CEEs are verified by the Monte Carlo simulations. Today's wireless networks allocate radio resources to users based on the orthogonal multiple access (OMA) principle. However, as the number of users increases, OMA based approaches may not meet the stringent emerging requirements including very high spectral efficiency, very low latency, and massive device connectivity. Nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) principle emerges as a solution to improve the spectral efficiency while allowing some degree of multiple access interference at receivers. In this tutorial style paper, we target providing a unified model for NOMA, including uplink and downlink transmissions, along with the extensions tomultiple inputmultiple output and cooperative communication scenarios. In this paper, a transmit antenna selection scheme, which is based on shadowing side information, is investigated. In this scheme, the selected single transmit antenna provides the highest shadowing coefficient between transmitter and receiver. By the proposed technique, the frequency of the usage of the feedback channel from the receiver to the transmitter and also channel estimation complexity at the receiver can be reduced. We study the performance of our proposed technique and in the analysis, we consider an independent but not identically distributed Generalized-K composite fading model. More specifically exact and closed-form expressions for the outage probability, the moment generating function, the moments of signal-to-noise ratio, and the average symbol error probability are derived. In addition, asymptotic outage probability and symbol error probability expressions are also presented in order to investigate the diversity order and the array gain. Examining the effect of imperfect transmit antenna selection (TAS) caused by the feedback link errors on the performance of hybrid TAS/space-time block coding (STBC) with selection combining (SC) (i.e., joint transmit and receive antenna selection (TRAS)/STBC) and TAS/STBC (with receive maximal-ratio combining (MRC)-like combining structure) over Nakagami-m fading channels is the main objective of this paper. Under ideal channel estimation and delay-free feedback assumptions, statistical expressions and several performance metrics related to the post-processing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) are derived for a unified system model concerning both joint TRAS/STBC and TAS/STBC schemes. Exact analytical expressions for outage probability and bit/symbol error rates (BER/SER) of binary and M-ary modulations are presented in order to provide an extensive examination on the capacity and error performance of the unified system that experiences feedback errors. Also, the asymptotic diversity order analysis, which shows that the diversity order of the investigated schemes is lower bounded by the diversity order provided by STBC transmission itself, is included in the paper. The probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function of the sum of L independent but not necessarily identically distributed Gamma variates, applicable to the output statistics of maximal ratio combining (MRC) receiver operating over Nakagami-m fading channels or in other words to the statistical analysis of the scenario where the sum of squared Nakagami-m distributions are user-of-interest, is presented in closed-form in terms of well-known Meijer's G function and easily computable Fox's H-bar function for integer valued and non-integer valued m fading parameters.
