In this paper, we briefly describe the subject-based experiments to analyze the effects of the contents variable digital cluster installed in vehicle, on the driver's driving performance, visual attention, and psychological states. Experiments were conducted using computer and vehicle simulator equipped with the variable contents digital cluster with subjects including elderly drivers, female drivers, novice drivers, and other general drivers. The subject first evaluated preferences for each variable content provided by the digital cluster through the evaluation sheet. Next, the subject performed a content change detection rate experiment to react when the content change of the digital cluster is detected while driving along a predetermined route after boarding the vehicle simulator. Finally, the subject also performed an experiment on the effectiveness of variable contents functions to recognize the current driving speed when the content of the digital cluster is changed while driving the simulator. As measurement values for analysis, vehicle behavior information, ECG information, and gaze tracking information were extracted and computed. Now we are designing the statistical analysis methods to verify how the variable contents functions are effective from the perspectives of the driving safety, driver’s cognitive processing, and psychological states.

Car-sharing service users range from novice drivers to experienced drivers. This means that even if the vehicle environment changes according to the driving experience, there were groups that recognized vehicle information skillfully and could driven situations, while there were driver groups who need time to adapt to the changed vehicle environment. We conducted studies on providing personalized service to the vehicle instrument cluster according to the characteristics of the driver. This paper provides a platform that could help safe driving, considering the characteristics of drivers using shared vehicle services. The proposed platform was to provide a familiar user interface and user experience based on the driving experience of each driver using the car-sharing services. Therefore, we defined the expression requirements in four steps to provide a familiar vehicle environment. In this paper, we introduced a system architecture to familiarize the unfamiliar vehicle environment of shared vehicles.

Fusarium head blight (FHB) caused by Fusarium species is a major disease of wheat and barley around the world. FHB causes yield reductions and contamination of grains with trichothecene mycotoxins including; nivalenol (NIV), deoxynivalenol (DON), 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol (3-ADON), and 15-acetylde-oxynivalenol (15-ADON). The objectives of this study were to identify strains of F. graminearum isolated in Korea from 2012-harvested wheat grain and to test the pathogenicity of these NIV- and DON-producing isolates. Three hundred and four samples of wheat grain, harvested in 2012 in Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gyeongnam, Jeonbuk, Jeonnam, and Gangwon provinces were collected. We recovered 44 isolates from the 304 samples, based on the PCR amplification of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) rRNA region and sequencing. Our findings indicate that F. asiaticum was the predominant (95% of all isolates) species in Korea. We recovered both F. asiaticum and F. graminearum from samples collected in Chungnam province. Of the 44 isolates recovered, 36 isolates had a NIV genotype while 8 isolates belonged to the DON genotype (3-ADON and 15-ADON). In order to characterize the pathogenicity of the strains collected, disease severity was assessed visually on various greenhouse-grown wheat cultivars inoculated using both NIV- and DON-producing isolates. Our results suggest that Korean F. graminearum isolates from wheat belong to F. asiaticum producing NIV, and both F. graminearum and F. asiaticum are not significantly different on virulence in wheat cultivars.
