Personalized toxicology is a research area that studies the individual toxicity of hazardous chemical compounds by experimental and clinical toxicology based on new molecular medicine approaches, including genetics and epigenomics, for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of chemically induced diseases. Goal of Research.To study individual genetically and epigenetically induced mechanisms of bodys response to exposure to chemical substances, and their effect on preclinical and reversible changes, development of intoxications, and long-term effects, as well as assessment of the individual health risk of exposure to a chemical factor.

There are given modern views on the role of genetic polymorphism on the detoxification of chemical substances and individual sensitivity in workers to the development of diseases associated with xenobiotics metabolism disorders. In the search for genetic markers of occupationally caused diseases it is promising to study allelomorphs of genes responsible for the polyfunctional response of the human body, including genes involved in xenobiotic biotransformation. There is substantiated the expediency of compilation and introduction of genetic passports for stuff occupied at hazardous chemical enterprises.

The article presents structural and functional model based on systemic approach to improve evaluation of health state of workers engaged into chemical industry. The author specified hygienic criteria of work conditions and health state criteria to evaluate health risks due to chemical factors.

Fundamental medical and hygienic principles should be used to stratify the health status of Russia's population. Human health should be ranked, by taking into account both contributors, lifestyle, and gender, age groups, ethnicity, occupation, etc. For grading human beings, a classification of the human health status has been developed depending on acting harmful and hazardous factors. The classification involves 7 health classes: normal, adapted, borderline, pathological nonspecific (predominantly systemic chronic diseases with temporary disability), pathological specific (occupational and endemic diseases, occupational accidents, etc. with temporary disability), permanent disability (first-to-third degrees), and prefatal conditions. Class health ranking may be used for comparative assessment, and making managerial decisions on health protection of various population groups.

The major unit monitoring chemical weapons destruction objects is a system of chemical analyticcontrol over the technologic process procedures and possibility of environment and workplace pollution withtoxicchemicals and their destruction products. At the same time, physical and chemical control means meet sanitary and hygienic requirements incompletely. To provide efficient control, internationally recognized approaches should be adapted to features of Russian system monitoring pollution of chemical weapons destruction objects with toxic chemicals.
