Gastric cancer is an epidemic malignancy that is commonly diagnosed at the late stage. Evidence has elucidated that RAD54B exerts a crucial role in the progress of various tumors, but its specific role and mechanism in gastric cancer remain gloomy.

Background The mortality of acute myocardial infarction complicated with cardiogenic shock (AMI-CS) is very high, timely and effective circulatory support is essential to save the lives of patients. It is important to explore the clinical efficacy, complications and prognosis of combined auxiliary sequence of veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO) and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) in patients with AMI-CS. Objective To observe the effect of the auxiliary sequence of VA-ECMO and IABP on the therapeutic effect and prognosis of patients with AMI-CS in the combination of VA-ECMO and IABP, explore the causes and significance of changes in relevant indicators, compare the incidence of complications, analyze the factors affecting prognosis, so as to find a relatively safe and effective mechanical circulatory support (MCS) method for patients with AMI-CS. Methods AMI-CS patients who received VA-ECMO combined with IABP in the Department of Intensive Care Medicine of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and Fuwai Central China Cardiovascular Hospital from 2021 to 2022 were retrospectively included as the study objects, and all patients were treated with the combined auxiliary mode of VA-ECMO and IABP, and divided into the group A (IABP followed by VA-ECMO, n=42) and group B (VA-ECMO followed by IABP or VA-ECMO combined with IABP at the same time, n=40). Baseline data, clinical indicators, treatment status, related complications and prognosis before, 24 h and 72 h after combination therapy were collected by the electronic medical record system. Results The results of two-factor repeated measures ANOVA showed that there were interactions of time and intergroup on mean arterial pressure (MAP), heart index (CI), arterial blood lactate (Lac), and troponin I (cTnI) (P0.05). The main effects of time on MAP, CI, GFR, Lac, cTnI and BNP were significant (P0.05). The study aimed to evaluate the current status of cardiac rehabilitation programs in China by registering and tracking patients undergoing CR programs in the database. Data were extracted from the online registry platform of the China Society of Cardiopulmonary Prevention and Rehabilitation from February 2012 to December 2021. Overall, data on 19,896 patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) from 159 hospitals in 34 provinces of China were extracted. From a time point of view, the number of patients who had undergone CR and institutions that perform CR showed the first decline in 2009 and then increased until 2021. From a geographic point of view, the degree of participation varied greatly among regions, most of which were concentrated in eastern parts of China. A higher population of patients who underwent CR were male, aged less than 60 years, with low-a risk for coronary heart disease (CHD), and tended to choose the hospital-based CR program among all cases registered in the database. The top three diseases in the patients who participated in CR were CHD, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome (MS). Centers with CR were more likely to be tertiary-level hospitals. After adjusting for baseline values, there were significant differences in post-CR exercise capacity among the three groups (home-based CR group, hospital-based CR group, and hybrid CR group), which were in favor of the hybrid CR group compared with other groups. The underutilization of CR is a global issue, not just in China. Despite the number of CR programs showing an increasing trend in the past years, CR in China is still in the preliminary stage of development. Furthermore, the participation of CR in China shows wide diversity across geography, disease, age, sex, risk stratification, and hospital-level factors. These findings reinforce the importance of the implementation of effective measures to improve the participation, enrollment in, and uptake of cardiac rehabilitation.

A series of noninvasive mechanical auxiliary circulation (NMAC) technologies, such as intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC), external counterpulsation (ECP), and anti-G suit, had been widely used to realize noninvasive intervention of human cardiovascular system for different purposes, such as treatments of cardiovascular diseases and protecting pilot from G-induced loss of consciousness (G-LOC) during exposure to sustained accelerations. There are lots of similarities among these NMAC technologies, especially on aspects of hardware constitutions and their physiological effects. However, these technologies were almost independently developed in the past few decades. The similarities and differences were summarized on aspects of hardware constitutions and physiological effects of IPC, ECP and anti-G suit in this paper, and a general concept for NMAC technologies was proposed. This concept did not include a restrict definition, but generally focused on the physiological benefits, while any non-invasive mechanical methods that can achieve such benefits are welcomed. Trends for these typical NMAC technologies, especially about the strategies to realize personalized therapy or to meet new challenges, are discussed. This paper provided a unified perspective for non-invasive mechanical technologies aiming at cardiovascular benefits, and might inspire new technologies to be introduced in.
