Mesoporous MnO x -Y and LnO x /MnO x ozone decomposition catalysts were prepared by calcination of Mn-BTC (BTC = 1,3,5-benzentricarboxylate) and doping of lanthanide elements (Ln = La, Ce, Sm, Eu, Er). Compared to MnO x -Y catalysts, the LnO x /MnO x catalysts showed higher ozone catalytic activity, the mutual conversion between Lnn+ and Mnn+ was helpful to improve ozone decomposition. The CeO x /MnO x catalyst showed the highest catalytic that showed 93% conversion of 40 ppm O 3 in the relative humidity (RH) = 65% after 360 min, which was attributed to the largest specific surface area, more oxygen vacancies, Mn3+ and O ads. In addition, the CeO x /MnO x catalyst was loaded into the non-woven fabric to obtain CeO x /MnO x -NWF catalyst, which showed a highly efficient and stable ozone conversion under the RH range from less than 5%–85%. Background: To compare the application of conventional MRI analysis and MRI-based radiomics to identify the circumferential resection margin (CRM) status of rectal cancer (RC). Methods: A cohort of 301 RC patients with 66 CRM invloved status and 235 CRM non-involved status were enrolled in this retrospective study between September 2017 and August 2022. Conventional MRI characteristics included gender, age, diameter, distance to anus, MRI-based T/N phase, CEA, and CA 19 − 9, then the relevant logistic model (Logistic-cMRI) was built. MRI-based radiomics of rectal cancer and mesorectal fascia were calculated after volume of interest segmentation, and the logistic model of rectal cancer radiomics (Logistic-rcRadio) and mesorectal fascia radiomics (Logistic-mfRadio) were constructed. And the combined nomogram (nomo-cMRI/rcRadio/mfRadio) containing conventional MRI characteristics, radiomics of rectal cancer and mesorectal fascia was developed. The receiver operator characteristic curve (ROC) was delineated and the area under curve (AUC) was calculated the efficiency of models. Results: The AUC of Logistic-cMRI was 0.864 (95%CI, 0.820 to 0.901). The AUC of Logistic-rcRadio was 0.883 (95%CI, 0.832 to 0.928) in the training set and 0.725 (95%CI, 0.616 to 0.826) in the testing set. The AUCs of Logistic-mfRadio was 0.891 (95%CI, 0.838 to 0.936) in the training set and 0.820 (95%CI, 0.725 to 0.905) in the testing set. The AUCs of nomo-cMRI/rcRadio/mfRadio were the highest in both the training set of 0.942 (95%CI, 0.901 to 0.969) and the testing set of 0.909 (95%CI, 0.830 to 0.959). Conclusion: MRI-based radiomics of rectal cancer and mesorectal fascia showed similar efficacy in predicting the CRM status of RC. The combined nomogram performed better in assessment. This paper investigates mean field games in continuous time, state and action spaces with an infinite number of agents, where each agent aims to maximize its expected cumulative reward. Using the technique of randomized policies, we show policy evaluation and policy gradient are equivalent to the martingale conditions of a process by focusing on a representative agent. Then combined with fictitious game, we propose online and offline actor-critic algorithms for solving continuous mean field games that update the value function and policy alternatively under the given population state and action distributions. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with Agaricus blazei polysaccharide (ABP) at varying concentrations on the performance, egg quality, blood biochemistry, intestinal morphology, and microflora of quail. Methods: The study involved a total of 2,700 Korean quails, which were randomly divided into three groups. The measured variables encompassed productive performance, egg parameters, carcass parameters, serum metabolites, immune response parameters, antioxidative properties, and gut microbiome. Results: The addition of ABP did not have a significant effect on average daily feed intake. However, it was found to increase the average daily egg weight and egg production rate, reduce the feedegg ratio. There were no significant impacts on egg quality measures such as egg shape index, egg yolk index and color, egg yolk and protein content. However, ABP supplementation significantly increased the Hough unit (p<0.01) and decreased the rate of unqualified eggs (p<0.01). Regarding serum parameters, the inclusion led to an increase in total protein concentration (p<0.05) and a reduction in lowdensity lipoprotein cholesterol (p<0.05). There were no significant effects observed on immune indicators such as immunoglobulin A (IgA) and IgM. ABP supplementation increased the levels of serum antioxidant indicators, including glutathione peroxidase, total superoxide dismutase (p<0.05), and total antioxidant capacity colorimeter (p<0.05). Furthermore, ABP supplementation significantly elevated the intramuscular fatty acid content in quail meat. Additionally, ABP supplementation demonstrated a significant improvement in the diversity of gut microbiota and induced alterations in the composition of the gut microbiota. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that dietary supplementation of ABP enhanced production performance and antioxidant capacity while increasing the levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids in quail muscle. Obesity is a major independent risk factor for chronic kidney disease and can activate renal oxidative stress injury. Ascorbate and aldarate metabolism is an important carbohydrate metabolic pathway that protects cells from oxidative damage. However the effect of oxidative stress on this pathway is still unclear. Therefore, the primary objective of this study was to investigate the ascorbate and aldarate metabolism pathway in the kidneys of high-fat diet-fed obese mice and determine the effects of oxidative stress. Male C57BL/6J mice were fed on a high-fat diet for 12 weeks to induce obesity. Subsequently, non-targeted metabolomics profiling was used to identify metabolites in the kidney tissues of the obese mice, followed by RNA sequencing using transcriptomic methods. The integrated analysis of metabolomics and transcriptomics revealed the alterations in the ascorbate and aldarate metabolic pathway in the kidneys of these high-fat diet-fed obese mice. The high-fat diet-induced obesity resulted in notable changes, including thinning of the glomerular basement membrane, alterations in podocyte morphology, and an increase in oxidative stress. Metabolomics analysis revealed 649 metabolites in the positive-ion mode, and 470 metabolites in the negative-ion mode. Additionally, 659 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified in the obese mice, of which 34 were upregulated and 625 downregulated. Integrated metabolomics and transcriptomics analyses revealed two DEGs and 13 differential metabolites in the ascorbate and aldarate metabolic pathway. The expression levels of ugt1a9 and ugt2b1 were downregulated, and the ascorbate level in kidney tissue of obese mice was reduced. Thus, renal oxidative stress injury induced by high-fat diet affects metabolic regulation of ascorbate and aldarate metabolism in obese mice. Modeling thermal multiphase flows has become a widely sought methodology due to its scientific relevance and broad industrial applications. Much progress has been achieved using different approaches, and the lattice Boltzmann method is one of the most popular methods for modeling liquid–vapor phase change. In this paper, we present a novel thermal lattice Boltzmann model for accurately simulating liquid–vapor phase change. The proposed model is built based on the equivalent variant of the temperature governing equation derived from the entropy balance law, in which the heat capacitance is absorbed into transient and convective terms. Then a modified equilibrium distribution function and a proper source term are elaborately designed in order to recover the targeting equation in the incompressible limit. The most striking feature of the present model is that the calculations of the Laplacian term of temperature, the gradient term of temperature, and the gradient term of density can be simultaneously avoided, which makes the formulation of the present model is more concise in contrast to all existing lattice Boltzmann models. Several benchmark examples, including droplet evaporation in open space, droplet evaporation on a heated wall, and nucleate boiling phenomenon, are carried out to assess numerical performance of the present model. It is found that the present model effectively improves the numerical accuracy in solving the interfacial behavior of liquid–vapor phase change within the lattice Boltzmann method framework. Pulmonary scedosporiosis is a rare pulmonary infection that often presents with nonspecific symptoms and radiological findings. In this report, we present a case of localized pulmonary scedosporiosis in an immunocompetent patient and analyze a total of 25 immunocompetent patients with pulmonary scedosporiosis. Through this case and the literature, we highlight the importance of considering pulmonary scedosporiosis in patients with nonspecific clinical symptoms and radiological findings resembling aspergilloma. This case and the literature further emphasize the significance of surgical intervention. Regardless of the use of antifungal drugs, surgery should be conducted as soon as possible. Physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) are employed to solve the classical compressible flow problem in a converging–diverging nozzle. This problem represents a typical example described by the Euler equations, a thorough understanding of which serves as a guide for solving more general compressible flows. Given a geometry of the channel, analytical solutions for the steady states do indeed exist, and they depend on the ratio between the back pressure of the outlet and the stagnation pressure of the inlet. Moreover, in the diverging region, the solution may branch into subsonic flow, supersonic flow, or a mixture of both with a discontinuous transition where a normal shock occurs. Classical numerical schemes with shock fitting and capturing methods have been developed to solve this type of problem effectively, whereas the original PINNs are unable to predict the flows correctly. We make a first attempt to exploit the power of PINNs to solve this problem directly by adjusting the weights of different components of the loss function to acquire physical solutions and in the meantime, avoid trivial solutions. With a universal setting yet no exogenous data, we are able to solve this problem accurately; that is, for different given pressure ratios, PINNs provide different branches of solutions at both steady and unsteady states, some of which are discontinuous in nature. Advancing the domain of biomedical investigation, integrated multi-omics data have shown exceptional performance in elucidating complex human diseases. However, as the variety of omics information expands, precisely perceiving the informativeness of intra- and inter-omics becomes challenging due to the intricate interrelations, thus presenting significant challenges in the integration of multi-omics data. To address this, we introduce a novel multi-omics integration approach, referred to as TEMINET. This approach enhances diagnostic prediction by leveraging an intra-omics co-informative representation module and a trustworthy learning strategy used to address inter-omics fusion. Considering the multifactorial nature of complex diseases, TEMINET utilizes intra-omics features to construct disease-specific networks; then, it applies graph attention networks and a multi-level framework to capture more collective informativeness than pairwise relations. To perceive the contribution of co-informative representations within intra-omics, we designed a trustworthy learning strategy to identify the reliability of each omics in integration. To integrate inter-omics information, a combined-beliefs fusion approach is deployed to harmonize the trustworthy representations of different omics types effectively. Our experiments across four different diseases using mRNA, methylation, and miRNA data demonstrate that TEMINET achieves advanced performance and robustness in classification tasks. This paper proposed a fusion model of the deep long- and short-term memory network named as deep LSTM and the stochastic dominance named as SD filter method to construct an index-tracking portfolio. We present a practical model that provides investors for portfolio construction using the deep LSTM model on extracting stock features and integrating the dimension deduction ability of the SD approach to the fusion model. Three main conclusions are drawn. First, deep learning in a supervised framework can work in portfolio management with our tuned model. Second, our deep LSTM model with an SD selection filter has enhanced the feature extraction ability to construct an index-tracking portfolio. Third, the linear activator, rectified linear unit, cooperated with SD methods can better reduce the estimation errors than the nonlinear activator in our deep LSTM model. These findings can implement on the portfolio construction in the neural network field. Additionally, entropy suggests to evaluate the learning effect of forecasting. Unlike the roughly balanced dataset used in the experiments, the long-tail phenomenon in the dataset is more common when applied in practice. Most previous work has typically used re-sampling, re-weighting, and ensemble learning to mitigate the long-tail problem. The first two are the most commonly used (as are we) due to their better generality. Differently, assigning weights to classes directly using the inverse of the sample size to solve such problems may not be a good strategy, which often sacrifices the performance of the head classes. We propose a new approach to cost allocation, which consists of two parts: the first part is trained in an unweighted manner to ensure that the network is adequately fitted to the head data. The second part then dynamically assigns weights based on the relative difficulty of the class levels.In addition, we propose a novel, practical Grabcut-based data augmentation approach to increase the diversity and differentiation of the mid-tail class data. Background: A comprehensive understanding of subgroups of community-dwelling older adults and their long-term care (LTC) utilization can help to promote equality in the long-term services and support system. Dependency and household characteristics were found to affect the LTC utilization of homebound older adults. However, few studies considered the typologies of dependency of older populations according to co-occurring limitations, and little is known about differences in LTC use among elderly of typologies of dependency under distinct household conditions. Methods: We aimed to identify typologies of dependency of older adults living at home and explore the disparities in formal care and informal care use among typologies of dependency by income and living situation. In this cross-sectional study, we used the public long-term care insurance (LTCI) database of Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, China, and included 1675 individuals aged ≥ 60 years living at home. Cluster analysis was conducted to determine typologies of dependency among older adults. A two-step multilevel analysis was used to examine disparities in formal and informal care use related to household income and living status among typologies of dependency. Results: Seven dependency clusters were identified. Pro-wealthy inequalities in both formal and informal care use were found in the least dependent cluster and the limited-locomotion cluster. Pro-poor inequalities in formal care use were found in the fully dependent cluster without impaired vision and the cluster with intact continence and vision. Living with family members was positively associated with receiving formal care for the fully dependent cluster. Older adults in most clusters were more likely to use informal care when living with family members, except for the least dependent cluster and the limited-locomotion cluster. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that household inequalities in LTC use varied among typologies of dependency of older adults, which may provide insights for researchers and policymakers to develop tailored LTC and targeted LTCI programs for older adults living at home and their family caregivers, considering both typologies of dependency and household characteristics. Based on network pharmacology and various route information, investigate prospective substances and mechanisms of hospital preparation of Yinaoan capsule (YNA) in the treatment of epilepsy. The compounds of YNA were collected using the Traditional Chinese Medicine System Pharmacology Database (TCMSP), Traditional Chinese Medicines Integrated Database (TCMID), Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ETCM), and related literature, and the pkCSM platform was used to predict the pharmacokinetic parameters. The targets of compounds were predicted by SwissTargetPrediction; Collect epilepsy targets and the information of Anti-epileptic drugs from databases such as Genecards and TTD, then obtain intersection targets of YNA compounds and epilepsy. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis was performed through the DAVID database. Gephi was used to construct the network. Finally, the compounds were confirmed by Autodock Vina. 27 key pathways of YNA (Calcium signaling pathway, cAMP signaling pathway, etc.) can be obtained by KEGG pathway analysis. 25 core targets (MAPK3, PRKCA, etc.) and 20 key compounds (GC195, ZNX069, etc.) were obtained by network analysis. The major molecules and the core targets have a strong binding interaction, as demonstrated by molecular docking. By working on MAPK3, PRKCA, and other core targets through important chemicals like GC195 and ZNX069 to activate the Calcium signaling pathway, the cAMP signaling system, and other pathways, YNA may have anti-epileptic effects. The Zhalong Wetland is impacted by elevated atmospheric nitrogen (N) deposition and N inputs from agricultural fertilization, which in turn affect greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. It is unclear how N addition affects nitrous oxide (N2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions in this wetland. Therefore, we conducted a short-term experiment, collecting soil samples from three representative points with different water levels, and five N addition levels (N0 = 0 mg N kg−1, N10 = 10 mg N kg−1, N30 = 30 mg N kg−1, N50 = 50 mg N kg−1, N100 = 100 mg N kg−1) were used to simulate N input. Overall, N2O emissions were significantly increased by N addition. Differently, N addition had a significant suppressive effect on CO2 emissions in high-flooded soils, whereas the highest CO2 emissions were regarded under the N30 treatment in middle-flooded and dry soils. Through Pearson's correlation analysis, we found a significant positive correlation between N2O emissions and ammonium (NH4+), and CO2 emission was significantly positively correlated with pH and total organic carbon (TOC). Meanwhile, the bacterial community of the soil was analyzed via high-throughput sequencing. The results revealed that N addition was not significantly affecting soil bacterial community structure, while the three points were significantly different. Among them, the relative abundance of the dominant genera of Trichoderma and Pseudomonas were significantly enhanced after N addition. Furthermore, the bacterial communities were found to be significantly correlated with soil pH, TOC, NH4+, and nitrate contents, which affected N2O and CO2 emissions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Model pruning has gained increasing attention in the field of network model compression. Although current methods combine GANs with model pruning, their pruning granularity is insufficient to achieve better compression ratios for models. Moreover, they cannot recognize similar filters, leading to redundancy and an inability to learn the optimal pruning structure. To address these issues, we propose a fine-grained generative adversarial network (GAN) for pruning models in this paper. Specifically, we utilize shape masks to learn the shape properties of the model to achieve larger compression ratios. Additionally, we employ mean-shift clustering to prune similar filters and tackle the redundancy issue they cause. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method, which we validate on the CIFAR-10/100 and ILSVRC-2012 datasets. At high altitudes, oxygen deprivation can cause pathophysiological changes. Liver tissue function is known to impact whole-body energy metabolism; however, how these functions are affected by chronic hypoxia remains unclear. We aimed to elucidate changing characteristics underlying the effect of chronic hypoxia on protein and amino acid metabolism in mouse livers. Mice were maintained in a hypobaric chamber simulating high altitude for 4 weeks. Livers were collected for metabolomic analysis via ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry. For transcriptomics analysis, we conducted RNA sequencing of hepatic tissues followed by Gene Ontology and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses. Chronic hypoxic exposure caused metabolic disorders of amino acids and their derivatives in liver tissue. We identified a number of metabolites with significantly altered profiles (including amino acids, peptides, and analogues), of which serine, phenylalanine, leucine, proline, aspartic acid, L-glutamate, creatine, 5-aminovaleric acid, L-hydroxyarginin, and g-guanidinobutyrate showed great potential as biomarkers of chronic hypoxia. A total of 2124 genes with significantly different expression levels were identified in hypoxic liver tissue, of which 1244 were upregulated and 880 were downregulated. We found pathways for protein digestion and absorption, arginine and proline metabolism, and mineral absorption related to amino acid metabolism were affected by hypoxia. Our findings surrounding the regulation of key metabolites and differentially expressed genes provide new insights into changes in protein and amino acid metabolism in the liver that result from chronic hypoxia. The design of transmitting waveforms is an effective way to improve the detection performance of sonar systems. For the problem of high-range sidelobe when designing reverberation-resistant waveforms, this paper proposes a high-resolution wideband composite waveform design with reverberation suppression performance and a waveform parameter improvement method. Firstly, we propose a novel wideband waveform, which utilizes linear frequency modulation (LFM) as the fundamental pulse, referred to as multi-parameter coded modulation LFM pulse (MPCM-LFM). Additionally, we deduce the wideband ambiguity function for waveform design. Then, we deduce the constraint relations of the waveform parameters for different sub-band overlaps, and according to the mathematical expressions of the obtained range ambiguity function, we analyze in detail the effects of the waveform parameters on the range ambiguity function under different constraints. Secondly, on the basis of the analysis, we also propose a hopping carrier frequency constraint rule to optimize the spectral performance, and the range sidelobe is restrained effectively in significant measure by this parameter improvement method. Finally, we analyze the computer simulation results. It is obvious that our proposed waveform parameter improvement method leads to good results. The proposed improved MPCM-LFM signal shows a "near-thumbtack" ambiguity function, whose sidelobe suppression performance is superior to other classical waveforms in the desired region, and it can realize high-precision parameter estimation. Formative asymmetric divisions produce cells with different fates and are critical for development. We show the maize (Zea mays) myosin XI protein, OPAQUE1 (O1), is necessary for asymmetric divisions during maize stomatal development. We analyzed stomatal precursor cells before and during asymmetric division to determine why o1 mutants have abnormal division planes. Cell polarization and nuclear positioning occur normally in the o1 mutant, and the future site of division is correctly specified. The defect in o1 becomes apparent during late cytokinesis, when the phragmoplast forms the nascent cell plate. Initial phragmoplast guidance in o1 is normal; however, as phragmoplast expansion continues o1 phragmoplasts become misguided. To understand how O1 contributes to phragmoplast guidance, we identified O1-interacting proteins. Maize kinesins related to the Arabidopsis thaliana division site markers PHRAGMOPLAST ORIENTING KINESINs (POKs), which are also required for correct phragmoplast guidance, physically interact with O1. We propose that different myosins are important at multiple steps of phragmoplast expansion, and the O1 actin motor and POK-like microtubule motors work together to ensure correct late-stage phragmoplast guidance. Previous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) evaluation methods using closed-form solutions have ignored the unique characteristics of ERP's life cycle. We propose a lifecycle model based on simulation and stochastic processes to capture and evaluate ERP's value, including additional key factors. Metasurfaces utilize engineered nanostructures to achieve control on all possible dimensions of light, encouraging versatile applications, including beam steering, multifunctional lensing, and multiplexed holograms. Towards the quantum optical regime for metasurfaces, although significant efforts have been put into generating and analyzing specific quantum states, control schemes to further manipulate these quantum states or information are still limited. Here, based on a metasurface, we propose and experimentally demonstrate a continuous heralding scheme to remotely control a vortex beam with high robustness to noise using polarization-entangled photon pairs. Our metasurface entangles polarization and orbital angular momentum (OAM) and the polarization selection on heralding photon erases the which-OAM information on signal photon. It induces an interference of two different OAM states remotely, manifesting a continuous orbital rotation. Our results show that metasurfaces have potential applications in quantum communication and information processing in entangling information with increasing complexity in the content. Heralded detection is widely used in quantum information processing, as it allows real-time tuning the properties of a heralded photon by acting on the heralding photon. Background: To develop a fully automatic framework for the diagnosis of cause for left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) via cardiac cine images. Methods: A total of 302 LVH patients with cine MRI images were recruited as the primary cohort. Another 53 LVH patients prospectively collected or from multi-centers were used as the external test dataset. Different models based on the cardiac regions (Model 1), segmented ventricle (Model 2) and ventricle mask (Model 3) were constructed. The diagnostic performance was accessed by the confusion matrix with respect to overall accuracy. The capability of the predictive models for binary classification of cardiac amyloidosis (CA), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) or hypertensive heart disease (HHD) were also evaluated. Additionally, the diagnostic performance of best Model was compared with that of 7 radiologists/cardiologists. Results: Model 3 showed the best performance with an overall classification accuracy up to 77.4% in the external test datasets. On the subtasks for identifying CA, HCM or HHD only, Model 3 also achieved the best performance with AUCs yielding 0.895–0.980, 0.879–0.984 and 0.848–0.983 in the validation, internal test and external test datasets, respectively. The deep learning model showed non-inferior diagnostic capability to the cardiovascular imaging expert and outperformed other radiologists/cardiologists. The rapid spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has posed enormous challenges to the global public health system. To deal with the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, the more accurate and convenient diagnosis of patients needs to be developed. This paper proposes a deep-learning-based COVID-19 detection method and evaluates its performance on embedded edge-computing devices. By adding an attention module and mixed loss into the original VGG19 model, the method can effectively reduce the parameters of the model and increase the classification accuracy. The improved model was first trained and tested on the PC X86 GPU platform using a large dataset (COVIDx CT-2A) and a medium dataset (integrated CT scan); the weight parameters of the model were reduced by around six times compared to the original model, but it still approximately achieved 98.80%and 97.84% accuracy, outperforming most existing methods. The trained model was subsequently transferred to embedded NVIDIA Jetson devices (TX2, Nano), where it achieved 97% accuracy at a 0.6−1 FPS inference speed using the NVIDIA TensorRT engine. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is practicable and convenient; it can be used on a low-cost medical edge-computing terminal. We developed a circular bivalent aptamer (CBA) to precisely activate membrane receptor-mediated regenerative signaling for liver repair in vivo. The CBA showed enhanced biostability and receptor binding avidity, achieving effective pathway activation and satisfactory treatment in an acetaminophen-induced liver injury model. Study Question: Are maternal urinary isoflavone (ISO) concentrations during pregnancy associated with anogenital distance (AGD) in infants at birth, and at 6 and 12 months of age?Summary Answer: Higher maternal urinary ISO concentrations during pregnancy were associated with longer AGD in infants of both sexes, and equol (EQU) and daidzein (DAD) were identified as the important ISO mixture components in the observed associations.What Is Known Already: Evidence of the association of prenatal exposure to ISO with offspring's AGD is mainly derived from animal studies, which used different study designs and had inconsistent results. Only one human study has been reported and it found null associations between maternal ISO exposure during pregnancy and AGD among boys at birth, with a small sample size and a wide range of exposure windows. No human study on girls was found.Study Design, Size, Duration: Prospective cohort study (Shanghai-Minhang Birth Cohort Study), with pregnant women recruited at 12-16 weeks of gestation in Shanghai, China between April and December 2012. One thousand two hundred and twenty-five live singletons were left in the cohort at delivery of which 480 mother-infant pairs had data on both maternal urinary ISO concentrations and at least one AGD measurement and were included in the present study. Anopenile distance (AGDAP) and anoscrotal distance (AGDAS) of boys and anoclitoral distance (AGDAC) and anofourchette distance (AGDAF) of girls were measured at birth and at 6 and 12 months of age.Participants/materials, Setting, Methods: Multiple linear regression models were used to examine the associations between maternal ISO concentrations and AGD. Bayesian kernel machine regression (BKMR) was implemented to examine both the overall effects of ISO mixture and the single effect of each ISO and identify important components of ISO mixture.Main Results and the Role Of Chance: A general profile of higher concentrations of maternal ISO associated with longer AGD in infants of both sexes was observed, when maternal education, parity, BMI before pregnancy (BMI, categorical variable), passive smoking during early pregnancy, age at delivery, gestational weeks and infant body size were adjusted for. Among boys, EQU was associated with increased AGDAS at birth and at 6 and 12 months, and DAD was associated with increased AGDAP at birth. Among girls, the associations of EQU and DAD with increased AGDAC and AGDAF at birth were found. When gestational weight gain and feeding patterns of infants in the first 6 months were additionally adjusted for, and maternal BMI was adjusted for as a continuous variable, more pronounced associations were observed, especially for associations of genistein (GEN), DAD and glycitein (GLY) with increased AGDAP and AGDAS at 6 months in boys. However, these associations were not always observed in the highest tertile group, and no consistent dose-response relationships were found. Similar results were observed in BKMR models, showing positive correlations of concentration of ISO mixture with increased AGDAS at both 6 and 12 months among boys, and increased AGDAC and AGDAF at birth among girls. Statistically significant increments of 4.96 mm (95% credible interval (CrI): 1.40, 8.52) and 1.07 mm (95% CrI: 0.02, 2.13) in AGDAS at 6 months among boys and AGDAC at birth among girls, respectively, were observed at the 75th percentile of ISO mixture, compared with 25th percentile. EQU and DAD were identified as the important components among ISO-AGD associations.Limitations, Reasons For Caution: First, due to the short half-lives of ISO, the accuracy of a single spot urine sample reflecting ISO exposure during pregnancy may be limited, and thus may cause non-differential misclassification. Second, despite the adjustments for several important covariates in the study, unmeasured and residual confounding factors may remain a concern. Third, false discovery due to multiple testing may remain. Finally, the reduced sample sizes attributed to the loss of follow-up and missing data of confounders may limit our ability to detect an association, if any existed.Wider Implications Of the Findings: Prenatal ISO exposure may affect the reproductive development of offspring. Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is the leading cause of vision loss in working age population. Intravitreal injection of anti‐VEGF antibody is widely used in clinical practice. However, about 27% of patients show poor response to anti‐VEGF therapy and about 50% of these patients continue to have macular thickening. Frequent intravitreal injections of antibody may increase the chance of endophthalmitis and cause visual loss or even blindness once happened. Therefore, there is a greatly urgent need for novel noninvasive target to treat DR clinically. Here, the formulation of a smart supramolecular peptide (SSP) eye drop for DR treatment that is effective via specifically identifying and capturing soluble semaphorin 4D (sSema4D), a strongly pro‐angiogenesis and exudates factor, is reported. The SSP nanostructures encapsulate sSema4D so that all biological effects mediated by three receptors of sSema4D are inhibited, thereby significantly alleviating pathological retinal angiogenesis and exudates in DR. Moreover, it is found that combination of SSPs eye drop and anti‐VEGF injection shows better therapeutic effect over anti‐VEGF treatment alone. In this paper, an optimized discrete unified gas kinetic scheme (DUGKS) is presented for both continuum and rarefied flows. The present scheme can be considered as a new version of the DUGKS. At first, we follow the original DUGKS to obtain the evolution equation by finite volume method. Then, we propose a new method to evaluate the flux. Different from the original DUGKS, the flux is evaluated by the distribution function at the node instead of the interface center. This makes the present scheme easier to implement and more efficient than the original DUGKS. To validate the present scheme, several numerical tests are performed, including the doubly periodic shear layers, the canonical two-dimension, and three-dimension Taylor–Green vortex flows, as well as the pressure-driven Couette flow and micro-Couette flow. Numerical results demonstrate that the present scheme preserves almost the same accuracy as compared with the original DUGKS, while it exhibits a lower numerical dissipation, and the computational efficiency and numerical stability can be significantly improved. As one of the world’s biodiversity hotspots, Mekong Basin has experienced a dramatic change in land-use and land-cover (LULC) over the past three decades, which could have a profound effect on regional biodiversity patterns. However, LULC dynamic and their driving forces in the Mekong Basin are still not well understood due to the complex geographical environment and the lack of efficient approaches to consistently produce accurate and timely LULC maps. In this study, we divided the Mekong Basin into three geographical units based on topographic and landscape heterogeneity. Then a rule-based method was employed to map LULC for each geographical unit from Landsat images. Finally, LULC dynamics and associated driving forces in the Mekong Basin from 1988 to 2017 were analysed. The results showed that: (1) the rule-based classification framework could accurately produce time series of LULC maps with overall accuracies over 86% for all single-year classifications. (2) Forest (49.92%) and cultivated land (34.89%) were the dominant LULC types in the Mekong Basin during the study period. Between 1988 and 2017, about 20.98% of the study area experienced LULC changes, in which the artificial surface increased by 3980.31 km2, mainly at the expense of forest and cultivated land. (3) Human disturbances were identified as the major driving forces of LULC changes. This study present essential source of information for policymakers to formulate sustainable natural resources management policies in the study site. Immunogenic agents known as adjuvants play a critical role in many vaccine formulations. Adjuvants often signal through Toll-like receptor (TLR) pathways, including formulations in licensed vaccines that target TLR4. While TLR4 is predominantly known for responding to lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a component of Gram-negative bacterial membranes, it has been shown to be a receptor for a number of molecular structures, including phospholipids. Therefore, phospholipid-based pharmaceutical formulations might have off-target effects by signaling through TLR4, confounding interpretation of pharmaceutical bioactivity. In this study we examined the individual components of a clinical stage oil-in-water vaccine adjuvant emulsion (referred to as a stable emulsion or SE) and their ability to signal through murine and human TLR4s. We found that the phospholipid 1,2-dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DMPC) activated TLR4 and elicited many of the same immune phenotypes as canonical TLR4 agonists. This pathway was dependent on the saturation, size, and headgroup of the phospholipid. Interestingly, DMPC effects on human cells were evident but overall appeared less impactful than emulsion oil composition. Considering the prevalence of DMPC and other phospholipids used across the pharmaceutical space, these findings may contextualize off-target innate immune responses that could impact preclinical and clinical development. Transmitting waveform design and signal processing method optimization are effective ways to improve a sonar system's detection performance. In this study, the spectrum and ambiguity function characteristics of pulse trains of frequency modulation (PTFM) signals were deduced and analyzed to address the problem of serious reverberation interference in the detection of low-speed targets in shallow water environments. The action mechanisms of PTFM signal parameters on the comb spectrum and bed of nails ambiguity function were identified. PTFM signal parameters were designed according to reverberation suppression requirements. The threshold was calculated using the estimate-before-detect method, and the comb spectrum waveform cognitive filtering detection algorithm is proposed. The simulation and lake experimental results show that the PTFM signals' reverberation suppression ability for low-speed targets was better than it was for stationary or high-speed targets. This study discusses the properties and decompositions of the traveltime sensitivity kernels in elastic isotopic and transversely isotropic media. Analytical solutions in homogeneous isotropic elastic media are derived and help better understand their properties. One key component is the kernel phase function which determines the frequency components of the sensitivity kernels, the geometrical setting of the Fresnel zones, and the resolving ability for velocity inversion. For the purpose of exploration seismology, the sensitivity kernels for finite-frequency traveltime inversion in transversely isotropic elastic media are expressed in terms of Thomsen's anisotropic parameters. The sensitivity kernels in anisotropic media can be decomposed into the summation of the isotropic terms constructed by the elastic properties in the symmetry direction and the correction terms due to the presence of anisotropy. Sensitivity kernels computed from different types of acquisitions contain information for different parameters. We compare the kernels computed using finite-difference with those by dynamic ray tracing. We conclude that the full wave numerical method is able to provide high-resolution kernels, which form the basis for 3D finite-frequency traveltime inversion for velocity and anisotropic parameters. A series of different cerium precursor-doped MnOx catalysts were synthesized by hydrothermal method, and the doping amount of cerium was further optimized and used for ozone decomposition. The catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, surface area, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman scattering spectroscopy, and N2 adsorption–desorption measurement. Different cerium precursors doped with manganese oxides had significant effects on the structural properties and ozone catalytic activity of the catalysts. All cerium precursors doped with manganese oxides significantly improved the ozone decomposition activity of the catalyst at high humidity. Manganese oxide doped with ammonium ceric nitrate as precursor had the best degradation effect on ozone.The total gas flow with O3 concentration ~ 40 ppm was maintained at 1 L/min with relative humidity (RH) 65%, /min and the Ce(NH4)2(NO3)6 doped MnO2 exhibits the best ozone decomposition activity and moisture resistance, the decomposition rate of ozone was 95% after 6 h. The characterization results showed that the good ozone decomposition activity of the catalyst was attributed to the large specific surface area and more active sites. The characteristic of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is red blood cell (RBC) destruction in response to oxidative stress. Patients requiring RBC transfusions may simultaneously receive oxidative medications or have concurrent infections, both of which can induce hemolysis in G6PD-deficient RBCs. We intend to investigate the incidence of G6PD deficiency in voluntary blood donors and to evaluate the transfusion risk associated with G6PD deficiency in Guangdong province. G6PD enzyme was analyzed in 3042 donors and gene mutations were genotyped in G6PD-deficient samples. The G6PD-deficient prevalence of voluntary blood donors was 6.97% (212/3042), 55.19% blood donors with G6PD deficiency donated blood more than twice. Eighty-five cases of G6PD deficiency were genotyped, and the common types of G6PD mutations were c.1376 G > T, c.1388 G > A, c.95 A > G, c.1024 C > T, and c.871 G > A. Due to the high prevalence of G6PD deficiency in Foshan area, we recommended that the screening of G6PD deficiency should be carried out for the regular blood donors to ensure the safety of blood users. Background: With the increasing coverage of antiretroviral therapy, concerns for the emergence and transmission of HIV drug resistance (HIVDR) are arising. HIVDR was divided into 5 levels: sensitive, potentially resistant, low resistant, intermediate resistant, and high resistant. Most of the articles on HIVDR involved low-level, intermediate-level, and high-level drug resistance to antiretroviral drug, and few articles deal with potential drug resistance. Treatment failure associated with the level of low-level, intermediate-level, and high-level resistance to antiretroviral drug has been reported. However, whether virological failure (VF) is related to potential resistance remains unclear. In this study, we aimed to describe the situation of potential resistance to antiretroviral drug and whether it is related to VF. Methods: We analyzed the demographic, behavioral information, medical history, and drug resistance–associated mutation data from subjects. Drug resistance mutations at baseline and time of failure in patients suffering VF were detected by using the Vela automated next-generation sequencing platform. The χ2 test or Fisher exact test and logistic regression were used to assess the risk factors that contribute to VF in the potential drug-resistant people. Results: The prevalence of overall pretreatment drug resistance was 7.06% (233/3300), and the prevalence of pretreatment potential resistance was 8.79% (290/3300). All these patients with pretreatment potential first-line drugs resistance showed potential resistance to nonnucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs), and some of them had potential drug resistance to NNRTIs and NRTIs or NNRTIs and PIs; among these patients, 94.71% (179/189) had V179 D/E mutations. The VF rate of first-line treatment for potentially resistant people is 17.99%. CD4+ T-cell count ≤200 cells/L at antiretroviral therapy initiation are risk factors for the failure of first-line treatment. Conclusions: The prevalence of potential drug resistance among individuals with HIV and the VF rate of first-line treatment for potential drug-resistant people were high. Rheumatoid arthritis is a common autoimmune disease that results from the deposition of antibodies–autoantigens in the joints, leading to long-lasting inflammation. The main features of RA include cartilage damage, synovial invasion and flare-ups of intra-articular inflammation, and these pathological processes significantly reduce patients' quality of life. To date, there is still no drug target that can act in rheumatoid arthritis. Therefore, the search for novel drug targets has become urgent. Due to their unique physicochemical properties, calcium ions play an important role in all cellular activities and the body has evolved a rigorous calcium signaling system. Calcium-permeable channels, as the main operators of calcium signaling, are widely distributed in cell membranes, endoplasmic reticulum membranes and mitochondrial membranes, and mediate the efflux and entry of Ca2+. Over the last century, more and more calcium-permeable channels have been identified in human cells, and the role of this large family of calcium-permeable channels in rheumatoid arthritis has gradually become clear. In this review, we briefly introduce the major calcium-permeable channels involved in the pathogenesis of RA (e.g., acid-sensitive ion channel (ASIC), transient receptor potential (TRP) channel and P2X receptor) and explain the specific roles and mechanisms of these calcium-permeable channels in the pathogenesis of RA, providing more comprehensive ideas and targets for the treatment of RA. Introduction: The basis of orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) is the reconstruction of periodontal tissue under stress. Increasing the speed of OTM has always been the focus of attention. Objectives: Periodontal ligament stem cells (PDLSCs) are direct effector cells of mechanical force, but the mechanism by which PDLSCs sense mechanical stimuli is unclear. Methods: Human PDLSCs (hPDLSCs) were analyzed in the presence or absence of force loading with the Flexcell loading system in vitro. Then, periodontal tissues were analyzed after mechanical stimulation in vivo. In addition, cells in a confined microenvironment were analyzed to observe changes in the cytoskeleton and migration. Finally, TRPC6−/− mice were used to further verify the effect of TRPC6. After force application, the OTM distance, bone marrow density (BMD), TRPC6 and COL1 expression, and TRAP staining were evaluated in periodontal tissues. Results: RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) and western blot analyses revealed that TRPC6 was important during mechanical force application to hPDLSCs. Appropriate mechanical force application also induced TRPC6 activation in the OTM model and the confined microenvironment. Under a slightly confined microenvironment, treatment with the TRPC6 inhibitor SKF96365 and TRPC6 knockout decreased the migration speed of hPDLSCs and mouse bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (mBMSCs). In addition, TRPC6−/− mice showed lower OTM distances and reduced osteogenic and osteoclastic differentiation. Conclusion: In summary, TRPC6 activation in PDLSCs mediated by appropriate mechanical force application contributes to periodontal tissue reconstruction. PDLSCs modulate periodontal tissue remodeling under appropriate mechanical stimulation through TRPC6; however, under excessive stress, alveolar bone and tooth roots are readily absorbed. Echinococcosis and tuberculosis are two common zoonotic diseases that can cause severe pulmonary infections. Early screening and treatment monitoring are of great significance, especially in areas with limited medical resources. Herein, we designed an operation-friendly and rapid magnetic enrichment-silver acetylene chromogenic immunoassay (Me-Sacia) to monitor the antibody. The main components included secondary antibody-modified magnetic nanoparticles (MNP-Ab2) as capture nanoparticles, specific peptide (EG95 or CFP10)-modified silver nanoparticles (AgNP-PTs) as detection nanoparticles, and alkyne-modified gold nanoflowers as chromogenic nanoparticles. Based on the magnetic separation and plasma luminescence techniques, Me-Sacia could completely replace the colorimetric assay of biological enzymes. It reduced the detection time to approximately 1 h and simplified the labor-intensive and equipment-intensive processes associated with conventional ELISA. Meanwhile, the Me-Sacia showed universality for various blood samples and intuitive observation with the naked eye. Compared to conventional ELISA, Me-Sacia lowered the detection limit by approximately 96.8 %, increased the overall speed by approximately 15 times, and improved sensitivity by approximately 7.2 %, with a 100 % specificity and a coefficient of variation (CV) of less than 15 %. The rotating packed bed (RPB), a process intensification equipment, has been widely studied and applied to chemical engineering processes such as gas absorption, nanomaterial preparation, and polymer devolatilization. In this study, we presented a typical RPB model to study the intensification mechanism of high gravity on gas-liquid mass transfer. Based on this, three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and experiments of CO 2 physical absorption were conducted to investigate the gas-liquid mass transfer characteristics in the RPB. The predicted and experimental values of CO 2 saturation rates of the liquid phase showed good agreement, and the errors were within ± 15 % under various operating conditions. Moreover, detailed flow field and mass transfer information that are difficult to measure experimentally, such as the distribution of CO 2 mass fraction in the liquid, liquid holdup, turbulent kinetic energy dissipation rate, and gas-liquid interfacial area, were analyzed by CFD simulation results. In this paper, the discrete variational derivative method (DVDM) and the compact difference method are combined to construct linearly energy-preserving schemes for the Korteweg-de Vries equation. The sixth-order compact difference method is used in the spatial direction, and the discrete variational derivative method is used in the temporal direction. The resulting fully discrete schemes are linear, unconditionally stable, uniquely solvable, and can precisely conserve the discrete mass and energy. At last, some benchmark numerical examples are given to demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed schemes. Adipose tissue plays a central role in energy substrate homeostasis and is a key regulator of lipid flow throughout these processes. As hypoxia affects lipid metabolism in adipose tissue, we aimed to investigate the effects of high-altitude chronic hypoxia on lipid metabolism in the adipose tissue of rats using a lipidomic analysis approach. Visceral adipose tissues from rats housed in a high-altitude hypoxia environment representing 4,300 m with 14.07% oxygen (hypoxia group) and from rats housed in a low-altitude normoxia environment representing 41 m with 20.95% oxygen (normoxia group) for 8 weeks were analyzed using an ultra-performance liquid chromatography-Orbitrap mass spectrometry system. After 8 weeks, the body weight and visceral adipose tissue weight of the hypoxia group were significantly decreased compared to those of the normoxia group (p < 0.05). The area and diameter of visceral adipose cells in the hypoxia group were significantly smaller than those of visceral adipose cells in the normoxia group (p < 0.05). The results of lipidomic analysis showed a total of 21 lipid classes and 819 lipid species. The total lipid concentration of the hypoxia group was lower than that in the normoxia group (p < 0.05). Concentrations of diacylglycerols and triacylglycerols in the hypoxia group were significantly lower than those in the normoxia group (p < 0.05). Using univariate and multivariate analyses, we identified 74 lipids that were significantly altered between the normoxia and hypoxia groups. These results demonstrate that high-altitude chronic hypoxia changes the metabolism of visceral adipose glycerides, which may potentially modulate other metabolic processes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Pursuing an object detector with good detection accuracy while ensuring detection speed has always been a challenging problem in object detection. This paper proposes a multi-scale context information fusion model combined with a self-attention block (CSA-Net). First, an improved backbone network ResNet-SA is designed with self-attention to reduce the interference of the image background area and focus on the object region. Second, this work introduces a receptive field feature enhancement module (RFFE) to combine local and global features while increasing the receptive field. Then this work adopts a spatial feature fusion pyramid with a symmetrical structure, which fuses and transfers semantic information and feature information. Finally, a sibling detection head using an anchor-free detection mechanism is applied to increase the accuracy and speed of detection at the end of the model. A large number of experiments support the above analysis and conclusions. Our model achieves an average accuracy of 46.8% on the COCO 2017 test set. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Distance estimation using a monocular camera is one of the most classic tasks for computer vision. Current monocular distance estimating methods need a lot of data collection or they produce imprecise results. In this paper, we propose a network for both object detection and distance estimation. A network-based on ShuffleNet and YOLO is used to detect an object, and a self-supervised learning network is used to estimate distance. We calibrated the camera, and the calibrated parameters were integrated into the overall network. We also analyzed the parameter variation of the camera pose. Further, a multi-scale resolution is applied to improve estimation accuracy by enriching the expression ability of depth information. We validated the results of object detection and distance estimation on the KITTI dataset and demonstrated that our approach is efficient and accurate. Finally, we construct a dataset and conduct similar experiments to verify the generality of the network in other scenarios. Small-scale microscopic phenomena determine the behavior of large-scale droplets, which brings great challenges to accurately simulate the droplet coalescence process. In this paper, the mesoscopic lattice Boltzmann method based on the phase field theory is used to simulate the collision and coalescence of binary three-dimensional droplets in a confined shear flow. The numerical prediction of droplet coalescence behavior was first compared with the experimental result, and good agreement was reported. Then, we investigated the influences of a comprehensive range of capillary numbers (0.01 ≤ C a ≤ 0.5) and Reynolds numbers (0.01 ≤ R e ≤ 10) on the shearing dynamics of binary droplets and also provided a quantitative description of droplet behavior in terms of the droplet deformation parameter and relative trajectory. A shearing regime diagram is further constructed based on the coupling effect of Ca and Re, which reveals three distinct types of droplet behaviors, including coalescence, breakup after the coalescence, and non-coalescence. Concretely, three different patterns of droplets can be completely captured with the variation of Ca at low Re; only two types of coalescence and non-coalescence can be observed for a medium Re, and two droplets just slide over each other without the occurrence of the coalescence when Re is sufficiently large. Also, we identified two critical capillary numbers in the lower Re region and one critical capillary number in the middle Re region, respectively, characterizing flow type transitions from the coalescence to breakup, from the breakup to the non-coalescence, and from the coalescence to the non-coalescence. The SQUAMOSA promoter-binding protein-like (SPL) family play a key role in guiding the switch of plant growth from juvenile to adult phases. Populus euphratica Oliv. exhibit typical heterophylly, and is therefore an ideal model for studying leaf shape development. To investigate the role and regulated networks of SPLs in the morphogenesis of P. euphratica heteromorphic leaves. In this study, 33 P. euphratica SPL (PeuSPL) genes were identified from P. euphratica genome and transcriptome data. Phylogenetic analysis depicted the classification of these SPL genes into two subgroups. The expression profiles and regulatory networks of P. euphratica SPL genes analysis displayed that major P. euphratica SPL family members gradually increases from linear to broad-ovate leaves, and they were involved in the morphogenesis regulation, stress response, transition from vegetative to reproductive growth, photoperiod, and photosynthesis etc. 14 circRNAs, and 33 lncRNAs can promote the expression of 12 of the P. euphratica SPLs by co-decoying miR156 in heteromorphic leaf morphogenesis. However, it was found that the effect of PeuSPL2-4 and PeuSPL9 in leaf shape development was contrasting to their homologous genes of Arabidopsis. Therefore, it was suggested that the SPL family were evolutionarily conserved for regulation growth, but were varies in different plant for regulation of the organ development. Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains a malignancy with poor prognosis, appropriate surgical resection and neoadjuvant therapy depend on the accurate identification of pancreatic supplying arteries. We aim to evaluate the ability of monoenergetic images (MEI [+]) of dual-energy CT (DECT) to improve the visualization of pancreatic supplying arteries compared to conventional polyenergetic images (PEI) and investigate the implications of vascular variation in pancreatic surgery and transarterial interventions. Results: One hundred patients without pancreatic diseases underwent DECT examinations were retrospectively enrolled in this study. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) at 40-keV MEI (+) were significantly higher than those of PEI (p < 0.05). All subjective MEI (+) scores were significantly higher than those of PEI (p < 0.05). The visualization rates were significantly higher for posterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery (PSPDA), anterior and posterior inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery (AIPDA, PIPDA), anterior and posterior pancreaticoduodenal arcade (APAC, PPAC), transverse and caudal pancreatic artery (TPA, PCA) at 40-keV MEI (+) than those of PEI (p < 0.05). However, there were no significant differences for visualizing anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery (ASPDA), inferior pancreaticoduodenal artery (IPDA), dorsal and magnificent pancreatic artery (DPA, MPA) between 40-keV MEI (+) and PEI (p > 0.05). Four types of variations were observed in the origin of DPA and three to five types in the origin of PSPDA, AIPDA and PIPDA. Conclusions: 40-keV MEI (+) of DECT improves the visualization and objective and subjective image quality of pancreatic supplying arteries compared to PEI. Pancreatic supplying arteries have great variations, which has important implications for preoperative planning of technically challenging surgeries and transarterial interventions.
