In order to improve the transmission performance of gears,a low sliding rate cycloidal spur gear based on the meshing line principle was presented.Firstly,the equations of gear sub tooth profile and transition curve were derived from the gear meshing principle.Then,the maximum degree of overlap was calculated as 3.0134 based on the gear meshing principle and the overlap equation.Finally,computer simulation was conducted to analyze the stability,contact stress and fatigue life during the meshing process.The results show that the tangential meshing force between the teeth of the high overlap cycloidal gear is 1238.2 N,which is 5.24%smaller than that of the involute standard gear under the same working condition.The fatigue life analysis shows that the minimum fatigue life is 4.534×106times,and the tooth surface contact stress is mainly concentrated in the gear meshing position and the tooth root part,so the fatigue damage is easy to occur in the driving gear and driven gear meshing and tooth root part.

Trichloroacetic acid is a common nonvolatile byproduct of drinking water disinfection and poses carcinogenic risks to the human body. In this study, four types of nano-oxide@microcrystalline-cellulose-based adsorbents (P25@microcrystalline cellulose, SiO₂@microcrystalline cellulose (MCC-g-GMA@SiO2), Fe3O4@microcrystalline cellulose, and Fe2O3@microcrystalline cellulose) were successfully prepared by the pre-radiation grafting-embedding method. Subsequently, their ability to remove trichloroacetic acid from drinking water was investigated. The micro zonation morphology and surface properties of the materials were characterized and tested using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD), Thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, and Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) characterization methods. The effects of monomer concentration, embedding concentration, and absorbed dose on the weight gain rate were systematically investigated. A complete static adsorption equilibrium curve was obtained on the basis of the results of adsorption experiments of four buried nano-oxides. The performance of SiO2@microcrystalline cellulose was found to be significantly higher than that of the other three adsorbents. When the volum percentage of monomer concentration was 30%, the mass percentage of embedding concentration was 4%, and the absorbed dose was 60 kGy, the removal rate of trichloroacetic acid in drinking water reached 83.27%. This series of adsorbent materials present significant potential for practical application in drinking water purification.

Fingerprints are an important trace material evidence for police to identify criminal. Cadmium sulfide quantum dots (CdS QDs) are fluorescent-labeled nanomaterials that can be used to improve the clarity and resolution of fingerprints. In this study, thioglycollic acid (TGA) was successfully modified to CdS QDs using the in-situ radiation reduction method, and synthetic TGA-CdS QDs were combined with polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) to form a TGA-CdS QDs/PVAc gel fingerprint film for fingerprint development. The structure and properties of the TGA-CdS QDs were characterized and tested using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, fluorescence spectrum, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effects of temperature, concentration of TGA-CdS QDs, pH, and mass fraction of the PVAc gel fingerprint film on fingerprint development were investigated. The results showed that a combination of 6 mg/mL TGA-CdS QDs solution with 20% PVAc gel fingerprint film at room temperature (25 ℃) and pH of 9.0 resulted in the clearest, most complete, and high-resolution fingerprint patterns of fluorescence display. The carboxylic acid group formed by TGA-CdS QDs in an alkaline solution completely combined with the amino acids, proteins, fats, urea, and other components of the fingerprint residue attached to the PVAc gel film. Under ultraviolet irradiation, the fingerprint lines were clearly displayed in the form of fluorescence. The fingerprint display method can be effectively used in criminal investigation.

Objective To investigate the predictive value of three-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (3D-STE), myocardial work (MW), and late gadolinium enhancement cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR-LGE) in left ventricular remodeling (LVR) after acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods A total of 77 patients with STEMI who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) from August 2022 to August 2023 in Lianyungang First People's Hospital were enrolled. All patients underwent routine transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), 3D-STE, and MW within 24 hours after surgery. The left ventricular parameters including global longitudinal strain (GLS), global radial strain (GRS), global circumferential strain (GCS), global area strain (GAS), global work index (GWI), global effective work (GCW), global wasted work (GWW), and global work efficiency (GWE) were measured. CMR-LGE was performed within 7 days after surgery, and TTE, 3D-STE, and MW were repeated at 3 months after surgery. The increase left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVEDV) ≥20% was defined as LVR after myocardial infarction. The predictive value of each index for LVR after myocardial infraction (MI) was analyzed. Results According to the LVR gold standard, there were 18 cases in the LVR group (23.4%) and 59 cases in the non-LVR group (76.6%). Compared with the non-LVR group, TTE-LVEF, GWI, GCW, GWE, GLS, GRS, GCS, GAS decreased, TTE-LVESV and GWW increased, infarct size (IS) increased and CMR-LVEF decreased in the LVR group. At 3 months follow up after PPCI, the LVR group had lower GWI, GCW, GWE, GLS, GRS, TTE-LVEF than the non-LVR group (P＜0.05). Multivariate logistic regression and ROC analysis showed that CMR-IS, GWI, GLS and GAS were independent predictors of LVR (P＜0.01), and their AUC were 0.815, 0.806, 0.775, 0.734, respectively. Conclusion 3D-STE and MW are helpful in predicting LVR after PPCI in STEMI patients, especially GLS and GWI, which are similar in value and not inferior to CMR-IS.

The waste from nuclear power plants worldwide has to be isolated from humans and his environment for about 100 000 years to equal the levels of natural uranium. If, however, the long-lived actinides could be separated from the spent fuel and transmuted, then the isolation time could be shortened to about 1 000 years. It is known that one class of N-containing soft ligands has excellent extraction ability and selectivity for minor actinides (MA), the separation of MA/lanthanides(Ln) from high level waste has been expected. One of the limiting points to ensure a safe and stable long-term operation is the resistance against radiation of all chemicals involved in the systems due to the highly radioactive field and high nitric acid concentration. Derivatives of 2,6-bis(1,2,4-triazine-3-yl)pyridine(BTP), 6,6'-bis(1,2,4-triazin-3-yl)-2,2'-bipyridine(R-BTBP) and 2,9-bis(1,2,4-triazin-3-yl)-1,10-phenanthroline(R-BTPhen) were widely employed for trivalent minor actinoid and lanthanoid separation in the promising innovative Selective Actinide Extraction(i-SANEX) and Grouped Actinide Extraction(EURO-GANEX) processes. However, researches towards radiolytic stability of these N-donor ligands presented controversial results. Herein, researches on stability against γ-radiation or α-radiation of R-BTP, R-BTBP, R-BTPhen and 2,6-bis[1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl]-pyridine(PyTri) at different experimental conditions and solvent formulations are reviewed. In most cases, γ irradiations were performed using 60Co sources and α irradiation were performed using 241Am or 244Cm solution. The effects of molecular structure, dose and dose rate, contact between phases, oxygen content, different phase composition, acidity, diluent and phase modifier on the γ-radiation stability of these ligands are introduced. The performance and changes in the composition have been analyzed during the irradiation experiment by different techniques, such as Raman spectroscopy, HPLC-MS and ICP-MS, to determine the degradation of the organic or aqueous solvents. These data were used to provide critical insight into the fundamental radiolysis mechanisms responsible for the radiolytic stability of ligands. In general, degradation was slower in the presence of both organic and aqueous phases during irradiation for both the hydrophobic and hydrophilic ligands. However, different experimental conditions and solvent formulations may lead to different degradation paths and degradation rates, and these experimental results are not comparable. Moreover, it is generally accepted that simulate radiation conditions, usually 60Co, may exaggerate or underestimate the influence of radiation effects. The controversial results obtained demonstrate the importance of developing realistic irradiation experiments where different factors affecting the performance can be easily studied and isolated. The existing problems in the study of radiolytic stability are summarized, and the key research directions in this field are prospected.

The repeated low-velocity impact responses of traditional glass fiber-reinforced composites and shape memory alloy (SMA) hybrid composites were explored in this work. The force–time/displacement and energy–time curves were compared based on the impact damage. The variations of impact mechanical features including contact peak force, maximum deflection, and absorbed energy were analyzed. The damage accumulation of the two kinds of composites was further assessed. Results showed that the damage tolerance and impact resistance of SMA hybrid composites were improved. The changes of dynamic mechanical responses were closely associated with the damage modes at different impact energies. The total energy absorption of SMA hybrid composites was much larger than that of traditional composites with more repeated impact numbers. Moreover, the damage accumulation of SMA hybrid composite was slower compared to traditional composite, while the improvement of SMA hybridization on the impact resistance of the composites was less obvious at higher impact energy.

Abstract The existing image semantic segmentation models have low accuracy in detecting tiny targets or multi-targets at overlapping regions. This work proposes a hybrid vision transformer with unified-perceptual-parsing network (ViT-UperNet) for medical image segmentation. A self-attention mechanism is embedded in a vision transformer to extract multi-level features. The image features are extracted hierarchically from low to high dimensions using 4 groups of Transformer blocks with different numbers. Then, it uses a unified-perceptual-parsing network based on a feature pyramid network (FPN) and a pyramid pooling module (PPM) for the fusion of multi-scale contextual features and semantic segmentation. FPN can naturally use hierarchical features, and generate strong semantic information on all scales. PPM can better use the global prior knowledge to understand complex scenes, and extract features with global context information to improve segmentation results. In the training process, a scalable self-supervised learner named masked autoencoder is used for pre-training, which strengthens the visual representation ability and improves the efficiency of the feature learning. Experiments are conducted on cardiac magnetic resonance image segmentation where the left and right atrium and ventricle are selected for segmentation. The pixels accuracy is 93.85%, the Dice coefficient is 92.61% and Hausdorff distance is 11.16, which are improved compared with the other methods. The results show the superiority of Vit-UperNet in medical images segmentation, especially for the low-recognition and serious-occlusion targets.

Background: This study aimed to explore the correlation between the Matrix Metalloproteinase-3 (MMP-3) 1171 5A/6A gene polymorphism and susceptibility to Chronic Periodontitis (CP). Methods: Following the PRISMA guidelines, a systematic search was conducted across four electronic databases (PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library) without any time or language limitations. The selection criteria included case-control studies examining the association between the MMP-3 gene polymorphism and CP. The data were independently extracted and cross-checked by two reviewers. The Newcastle-Ottawa Scale (NOS) was used to assess the quality of the studies. Statistical heterogeneity and publication bias were assessed. Results: Five studies, published between 2004 and 2019, met the inclusion criteria for the meta-analysis. No significant association was observed between MMP-3 gene polymorphism and CP susceptibility across all subjects in the four gene models. However, subgroup analysis revealed significant differences based on genotyping methods and smoking habits. Using PCR-RFLP genotyping method, the allele and additive models showed a positive correlation with the risk of CP (5A vs 6A, OR=1.12, 95%CI (1.02č 1.23); 5A5A vs 6A6A, OR=2.85, 95%CI (1.61č4.86)). In contrast, using Sanger sequencing method, the 5A mutation appeared to reduce CP susceptibility (5A vs 6A, OR=0.77, 95%CI (0.67č0.87); 5A5A vs 6A6A, OR= 0.20, 95%CI (0.09č0.42)). Moreover, smoking habits appeared to modulate the risk. Among smokers, the 5A mutation increased susceptibility to CP, while among nonsmokers it decreased. Conclusions: While no significant correlation was found in the overall population, the stratified analysis revealed nuanced relationships contingent on genotyping methods and smoking habits.

[Objective] Population structure characteristics and survival status of natural Platycladus orientalis in the loess hilly region were determined in order to provide a scientific basis for high-quality and sustainable development of forest grassland in this area. [Methods] Characteristics were quantitatively analyzed by using a dynamic change index based on a static life table combined with spectral analysis on the time scale and time series simulation prediction to carry out a comprehensive survival analysis of this cypress species. [Results] ① The height, crown width, and diameter structure of the P. orientalis population indicated that young trees were abundant. ② The survival curve of the P. orientalis population was close to Deevey-Ⅱ type, and the population was sensitive to external interference. ③ Population dynamics were characterized by strong viability in the early stage, stable growth in the middle stage, and decline in viability in the later stage. Time series simulation and prediction analysis showed that the population of P. orientalis showed different degrees of increasing trend and strong growth recovery ability. [Conclusion] The natural population structure of P. orientalis in the loess hilly region was stable and growing, and the survival curve was close to that of Deevey-Ⅱ type.

To address problems including underestimation of heavy precipitation, rapid decay of synoptic systems and low computational efficiency in operational forecast of CMA-GFS V3.3, some key technologies related to physics and dynamics of the model are developed and applied.A suite of graupel-related microphysical processes is adopted in the cloud microphysics scheme to improve the forecast performance of heavy precipitation. These processes include graupel colliding with cloud water, ice crystals and snow, automatic conversions of ice crystals to graupel and snow to graupel, melting process of graupel to raindrop and sublimation process of graupel. In addition, the evaporation rate of cloud and rainwater is restricted, which can increase the liquid water content in warm areas and improve precipitation efficiency.In the convection parameterization scheme, the role of the sub-cloud environmental relative humidity to convection triggers is considered, and the unreasonable occurrence of convections in dry environment is suppressed. Also, the sensitivity of the entrainment rate of the convective updraft to the relative humidity outside the cloud is enhanced to weaken the convections in dry environment. At the same time, the quasi-equilibrium closure scheme is optimized to improve the accuracy in calculating cloud-base mass flux which is related to the convection intensity.To solve the problem of the mass loss in long time integration, a mass conservation correction method is introduced to the model dynamic framework. The method is developed to ensure the mass conservation by adjusting mass in each grid box according to different weight coefficients which are determined by the change of total atmospheric mass of the current time step relative to the previous step.In terms of computational efficiency, the two-dimensional reference profile algorithm is developed. Without losing calculation accuracy, the model integration time step is extended from 240 s to 300 s using the new profile instead of the original three-dimensional reference profile. Meanwhile, the PCSI method is adopted instead of the GCR method, which reduces the time consuming of solving Helmholtz equation. In addition, the radiation scheme and predictor-corrector algorithms are also optimized to improve the computational efficiency.Through the application of the above key technologies, the forecasting skills for weather pattern and precipitation of CMA-GFS are significantly improved. And its computational efficiency is increased by about 1/3, which meets operational time requirement for the model with 0.125° horizontal resolution. Based on the improved model and the research achievements in other aspects of the forecast system, CMA-GFS is upgraded to V4.0 with a significantly improved comprehensive performance.

Irreversible cardiomyopathy was caused by the therapeutic of anthracyclines in the chemotherapy of cancers. The cell apoptosis and autophagy were induced by anthracyclines in AC16 cells. MiR-223-3p ascends in anthracycline-treated AC16, but the expression of nuclear factor I-A (NFIA) was specifically down-regulated. However, the underlying molecular mechanism between NFIA and miR-223-3p is unclear now in AC16 cells. In our research, NFIA expression was dampened in AC16 cells by miR-223-3p mimics. Additionally, miR-223-3p knockdown hindered the apoptosis and autophagy in anthracycline-treated AC16. Furthermore, NFIA was predicted and verified as a miR-223-3p’s downstream target and rescued the functions of miR-223-3p. These findings illustrated that miR-223-3p advances anthracycline-stimulated cardiomyocyte damage progression by targeting NFIA, implying the promising therapeutic function of miR-223-3p on cardiomyocyte damage in cancer patients.

Optimal scheduling of renewable energy sources and building energy systems serves as a pivotal strategy for achieving zero carbon emission. However, the coordination of zero carbon building energy systems (ZCBS) is still challenging due to the complicated interactions among multi-energy hybrid storage and the complex coordination between seasonal and daily scheduling. Therefore, this study develops a coordination scheduling approach for ZCBS. An operation model and a seasonal-daily scheduling approach are developed to optimize the operation of hydrogen, geothermal, and water storage devices. The performance of the developed method is demonstrated using numerical case studies. The results show that the ZCBS can be achieved by using renewable energy sources with the system flexibility provided by hydrogen, geothermal, and water storage devices. It is also found that the developed scheduling approach reduces operation costs by more than 43.4% under the same device capacity, compared with existing scheduling approaches.

Customer churn directly leads to the weakening of the economic efficiency of an operator and even the loss of its competitive advantage in the market share. The identification and prediction of customer churn in the era of interconnection has become more complex, as it not only is based on the analysis of customer information and customer churn data but also must take into account the intricate relationships between the market economy and culture. In the era of big data, numerous predictive models are based on more redundant features, which increases the complexity of the algorithms and the difficulty of analyzing customer churn. Therefore, in this paper, a belief rule base (BRB) artificial intelligence inference algorithm based on GA optimization to determine the factors affecting customer churn for operators proposed. First, customer churn data from a website are analyzed, and features are extracted. Second, a BRB is established from the experience of operator experts, and a BRB inference prediction model is constructed for predicting and analyzing customer churn. Finally, the BRB model is optimized by GA optimization, the input characteristics with high feature weights are obtained, and the accuracy of the churn analysis is verified according to the obtained features. The results show that this method not only outperforms the comparative SVM and BP neural network models for predicting customer churn but also provides better judgment of the main inputs of customer churn, thus reducing the reliance on input information, optimizing the complexity of the algorithm, and enabling operators to obtain a more accurate understanding of the main factors that lead to churn.

ObjectiveTo observe the effect of muscle energy technique combined with conventional rehabilitation therapy on elderly patients with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) .MethodsA total of 84 patients with KOA in the rehabilitation medicine department of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital from February 2021 to August 2022 were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the random number sequence generated by SPSS 22.0 statistical software, with 42 cases in each group. During the course of treatment, two cases in the control group dropped due to the patient's voluntary request, a total of 82 cases were finally included, including 40 cases in the control group and 42 cases in the observation group. Both groups received conventional rehabilitation therapy (power bicycle and physical factor therapy), including power bicycle training for 20 min a time, and physical factor therapy such as dynamic interferential electricity and ultrashort wave therapy for 30 min a time (15 min a time for each item), once a day, five days a week, lasting for four weeks. The observation group received muscle energy technique treatment on the basis of the control group, 30 minutes a time, once a day, five days a week, lasting for four weeks. Before treatment, after treatment for four weeks and after treatment for six months, the Western Ontario and Manchester University Osteoarthritis Indexes (WOMAC) was used to evaluate the degree of joint pain, joint stiffness and activities of daily living of patients with KOA. Before treatment and after treatment for four weeks, a joint angle measuring ruler was used to evaluate the range of motion (ROM) of the knee joint; the isokinetic muscle strength test and training system was used to evaluate quadriceps femoris muscle strength [quadriceps femoris peak torque (PT), quadriceps femoris peak torque to body weight ratio (PT/BW)].Results① WOMAC score: compared with that before treatment, the WOMAC joint pain, joint stiffness, activity of daily living score and total WOMAC score of the two groups decreased significantly after treatment for four weeks and after treatment six months (P

The flexible direct current (DC) grid based on modular multilevel converter (MMC) has a high current peak value and a very fast rising speed during a DC short-circuit fault. In order to limit the impact of fault current on the system in a short period of time, a fault current-limiting combined control strategy suitable for half-bridge MMC was proposed. By using the high controllability of MMC itself, the fault limit can be achieved without external current limiting device, and it can reduce the technical requirements for DC circuit breakers. Firstly, two different current-limiting links and their basic principles in the current-limiting control strategy are explained. Secondly, the influences of the two current-limiting links on the DC fault current, AC current and bridge arm current are analyzed respectively, and the calculation formula of DC fault current under current-limiting control is deduced. Finally, a half-bridge MMC four-terminal DC grid model is built on the PSCAD/EMTDC platform for simulation analysis. The results show that the current limiting combined control strategy can effectively limit the DC fault current and reduce the power and voltage fluctuations of the near-end converter at the fault point. It can also reduce the peak value of AC current and bridge arm current.

The pollution of sediments around Lu Ban Island is a serious environmental issue that is threatening human health. The concentration of As, Cd, Cu, Cr, Hg, Ni, Pb, and Zn at 73 layer points were investigated, vertical distribution characteristics, correlation among potential toxic elements and potential ecological risks of sediments at different depth were analyzed. The following results were obtained, (1) the hypothesis that there was a linear relationship between concentration of potential toxic elements and the reciprocal of deep was reasonable. Based on hypothesis, the ultimate value of concentration by making depth go to infinity was regarded as the background concentration. The background concentration of As, Cd, Cu, Cr, Hg, Ni, Pb, and Zn are respectively 4.94 mg/kg, 0.20 mg/kg, 15.48 mg/kg, 58.41 mg/kg, 0.062 mg/kg, 26.96 mg/kg, 20.29 mg/kg, and 53.31 mg/kg. (2) But correlation between Ni and As was relatively weak, high degree of correlation among other potential toxic elements were found. Based on their correlation, eight potential toxic elements were classified into three groups. First group included Ni and Cr, mainly releasing by coal burning; Cu, Pb, Zn, Hg, and Cd were grouped together, possibly due to their shared source of fish cage culture; Arsenic with relatively weak correlation with other potential toxic elements was classified as a separate class, which was usually one important mineral resource associated with phosphate. (3) Potential ecological risk index (PERI) of sediment above − 0.40 m belonged to moderate risk, the PERI of sediment in − 0.10 m, − 0.20 m, and − 0.40 m were 289.06, 254.33, and 201.44, respectively. Sediment below − 0.40 m belonged to low risk with average PERI value 112.82, with no significant changes in PERI values. The order of contribution to PERI was Hg > Cd > As > Cu > Pb > Ni > Cr > Zn. (4) According to result of cluster analysis and potential ecological risk, the potential ecological risk of sediment above − 0.40 m mainly contributed by potential toxic elements of Cu, Cd, Hg, Pb, and Zn sharing source of fish cage culture.

The accumulation and incineration of waste tires have caused great damage to the environment. Therefore, recycling waste tires efficiently and economically has become an important issue in protecting world resources and the environment. In this study, 5%, 10%, and 15% rubber particles were used to replace fine sand in concrete, and basalt fibers (0.1%, 0.2%, and 0.3%) and polypropylene fibers (0.1%, 0.15%, and 0.2%) were added to rubber concrete to prepare hybrid fiber rubber concrete (HFRC). The experiments investigated the changes of mechanical properties of basalt (BF), polypropylene (PPF) fibers, and rubber particles when they were blended into concrete respectively, and the degree of influence of each factor on the mechanical and carbonation resistance of HFRC was investigated based on the orthogonal test. The results show that the rubber concrete’s mechanical and carbonation properties are improved to varying degrees after adding hybrid fibers. When the basalt fiber content is 0.2% and the polypropylene fiber content is 0.15%, the overall mechanical properties of HFRC reach the best state. When the basalt fiber content is 0.2%, the polypropylene fiber content is 0.15%, and the rubber content is 5%, the carbonation resistance of HFRC is the most ideal. In addition, the microstructure of HFRC was observed by scanning electron microscope.

There are few studies on the shape and structure of the channel-type induction heating tundish on multi-physics field. Computational fluid dynamics has been used to study the influence of the structure of the tundish on the macroscopic transport behavior of the tundish with channel induction heating. The results show that increasing the depth of the molten pool is conducive to dynamic behavior of multiphase, the deeper the molten pool, the larger the active area, the longer residence time, the more inclusions removal and the higher ratio of plug to dead volume. Meanwhile, the larger the channel diameter, the more inclusions removal in the receiving chamber and channel. The channel induction heating has enough ability to increase the superheat and temperature compensate for the heat loss caused by the excessive residence time of the molten steel in the tundish. The change in the channel structure is crucial to the macroscopic transport behavior of the fluid. The change in channel diameter has the greatest effect on the multi-physics field in the molten pool.

The early diagnosis of myocardial infarction can significantly improve the survival rate in emergency treatment, which is mainly implemented by the immunoassay for myocardial infarction biomarkers such as cardiac troponins in blood. In this work, a disposable optofluidic microtubule whispering gallery mode (WGM) immunosensor for label-free cardiac troponin I-C (cTnI-C) complex detection has been proposed and demonstrated with active interrogation enhancement. The disposable microtubule is simply fabricated by a silica capillary with pressurized tapering technology for thin-wall, and the cTnI antibodies are immobilized on the inner wall surface of the microtubule through the self-adherent polydopamine substrate. By configuring the two coupling microfibers, the double-fiber-coupled microtubule cavity can serve as a tunable filter for the mutual-coupled polarimetric fiber ring laser (FRL), whose output laser wavelength is determined by the cTnI-C concentration in the optofluidic microtubule with inherent microfluidic channel. Due to the cyclic-cumulative gain of the FRL, the characteristic resonant peak of optical sensing signal is enhanced in the spectral width compression and the optical signal-to-noise ratio improvement, and therefore the optical immunosensor for cTnI-C can be achieved by tracking the output laser wavelength of the FRL conveniently. The dynamic binding and unbinding process of cTnI-C antigen–antibody is illustrated by monitoring the lasing peak wavelength continuously. Our all-fiber immunosensor demonstrated here has the advantages of fast label-free detection, real-time monitor, high sensitivity and disposable sensing element, which can be an innovative detecting tool in early diagnosis of myocardial infarction.

In this work, the damage accumulation and failure mechanism of glass fiber-reinforced epoxy composite laminates under repeated low velocity impacts were studied considering the influence of stacking sequence. The typical sandwich-like [0°2/90°2]s, angle-ply [±45°]2s and quasi-isotropic [0°/−45°/45°/90°]s laminates were tested at 20 J impact energy. The impact responses including contact force–time/central displacement and energy–time curves were recorded. The tendencies of the peak contact force, maximum displacement, bending stiffness, and energy dissipation with the increase in impact number were analyzed. Damage induced in the laminates was further evaluated. The results show that the impact resistance of the sandwich-like laminate is the weakest with the lowest peak load and the highest energy dissipation. The impact resistance of the quasi-isotropic laminate is better relative to the angle-ply laminate before the occurrence of fiber breakage, whereas the damage tolerance of the angle-ply laminate is higher with relatively slower damage accumulation at subsequent impacts.

Stress concentrations typically exist around the perimeter of an opening and on attached structures, thereby resulting in a potential risk of crack initiation. Experimental and numerical methods on stress concentration distribution analysis can be applied in this study. This study reveals the differences in stress concentration distributions around various types of slots. Typical slots have been selected to discuss the influence on stress concentration distribution when the connections of flat bar and connection plate are considered. This concept is novel given the experiments conducted and finite element method (FEM) results found under complex loads. The FEM is used to compare calculated results with experimental data, and continuous plotting of numerical results can verify the outcomes. The results show the stress concentration distribution around the selected slot edge, where peak stress appears around the openings of different types of slots.

Abstract Radioactive aerosols harmful to humans are often produced in nuclear accidents, and their source term characteristics (total volume and particle size distribution) and dispersion patterns have important implications for accident response and hazard assessment. However, experimental studies of radioactive aerosols cannot be directly conducted in open space due to the hazardous nature of radioactive aerosols. In this study, silver was used instead of plutonium to study the aerosol source term under different specific internal energy inputs (SIEI) to simulate a low order explosion in an accident. Results show that aerosol release fraction (ARF) and respirable release fraction (RRF) of silver increase linearly with SIEI first, then varies in a range of 8% ~ 19%, with a turning point at SIEI of 1.4 MJ/kg. Analysis suggests an increase of difference between ARF and RRF with respect to SIEI. The size distribution of silver aerosol around 10 µm is influenced by SIEI significantly, which could be possibly attributed to the interactions between silver aerosol and ambient aerosol (solid HE products or rust). Comparison between the source term of silver and plutonium suggests that silver is a good surrogate of plutonium in studying aerosol for SIEI of MJ/kg level.

The transformation-induced plasticity (TRIP) Fe50Mn30Co10Cr10 high entropy alloy (HEA) with 2 at% C and 1 at% Mo microalloying was prepared by non-consumable vacuum arc melting furnace. The as-casted alloy was then rolled at 70% and then annealed at 1000 °C for different times. The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the C and Mo alloyed TRIP-HEA were systematically investigated. The results showed that with the increase of annealing time, the strength of the C2Mo1 HEA increases, but the plasticity increases first and then decreases. Spuriously, when C2Mo1 HEA was annealed for 5 min at 1000 °C after 70% cold rolling, the total elongation was 121%, the tensile strength was 816 MPa, and its product of tensile strength and plasticity was 99.23 GPa, which is much better than the majority of HEAs. In the process of tensile deformation, + //TD double texture are formed, and dislocation slip and twin mechanism competed by each other, which affect the microstructure evolution in the process of plastic deformation, and finally as the great contribution to the product of tensile strength and plasticity.

A new Rb fountain clock was built at the National Institute of Metrology with the aim to realize robustness and excellent long-term instability for time keeping. While some basic designs have been adopted from our Cs fountain clocks, new features have been included for improved performance. A double-metal interrogation microwave cavity with a thermal expansion self-compensating mechanism was used to reduce the clock sensitivity to temperature fluctuations for the first time, to our knowledge. Moreover, a compact optical system was developed to ensure robustness. These features dramatically increased the ambient temperature range. The developed Rb fountain clock achieved a typical fractional frequency instability of 1.49×10−13(τ/s)−1/2within 10 days of continuous operation without any intervention, demonstrating the potential for time keeping.

Objective To explore the associated factors for quality of life in patients with progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). Methods A total of 218 PSP patients were included from January 2012 to December 2019. Demographic and clinical data were collected. The quality of life was evaluated by the 39⁃Item Parkinson's disease Questionnaire (PDQ⁃39). The Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Rating Scale (PSPRS) was used to assess the severity of PSP related motor and non⁃motor symptoms, while the Non⁃Motor Symptoms Scale (NMSS) was used to elevate the non⁃motor symptoms, Hamilton Depression Rating Scale⁃24 (HAMD⁃24), Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA), Lille Apathy Rating Scale (LARS), Frontal Assessment Battery (FAB), and Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) were used. The Pearson and partial correlation followed by the multiple linear regression were used to explore the correlates of the PDQ⁃39 score. Results Correlation analysis indicated that the PDQ⁃39 score was positively correlated with disease duration (r=0.301, P=0.000), Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI; r=0.147, P=0.031), levodopa equivalent daily dose (LEDD; r=0.225, P=0.001), and scores for the PSPRS (r=0.551, P=0.000), NMSS (r=0.484, P=0.000), HAMD⁃24 (r=0.515, P=0.000), HAMA (r=0.439, P=0.000) and LARS (r=0.476, P=0.000), but was negatively correlated with scores of FAB (r=⁃0.325, P=0.000) and MoCA (r=⁃0.355, P=0.000). Multiple linear stepwise regression model indicated that the PDQ⁃39 score was significantly associated with female (P=0.021), longer disease duration (P=0.026), higher LEDD (P=0.008), higher PSPRS score (P=0.000), higher NMSS score (P=0.002), higher HAMD⁃24 score (P=0.004), and higher LARS score (P=0.000). Conclusions Female, longer disease duration, higher LEDD, and more severe motor and non⁃motor symptoms contribute to the reduced quality of life in patients with PSP. Our study is beneficial to the clinical management of patients with PSP.

The Cummins equation is commonly applied to describe the motion of floating structures. Because of the convolution term, the efficiency of calculation is low and the error accumulation problems in numerical integration calculation are serious. For those reasons, a dynamic response analysis method of floating structures based on a state-space model is proposed. The method uses the state-space method to replace the force-to-motion relationship of the Cummins equation, that is, transfer function, which transforms the problem of calculating the dynamic response into obtaining the output of the state-space model. The method is easy to implement and avoids the problems caused by the presence of the convolution term.

Objective To analyze the associations of diethyl phthalate (DEP), di-n-butyl phthalate (DnBP), di(2-ethyl)hexyl phthalate (DEHP) and butyl benzyl phthalate (BBzP) [which have reference doses (RfD) in the plasticizer, phthalates (PAEs)] with semen parameters and sex hormone levels in the young male adults, and evaluate the safety of RfD. Methods A total of 796 subjects were sampled from our previously established cohort of the male reproductive health in Chongqing college students (MARHCS) study. The contents of PAEs metabolites were detected in the urine samples of the subjects to estimate the daily intake of PAEs. Optimal scaling regression analysis was used to test their associations of the contents with semen parameters and sex hormone levels. Joinpoint regression model was applied to explore whether there were inflection points in the above associations, and the results were compared with RfD. Results Except for the metabolite of BBzP (MBzP) below the detection limit in the most individuals, the median daily intake of the other 3 PAEs was 0.1, 1.0 and 4.3 μg/(kg·d) for DEP, DnBP and DEHP, which were all significantly lower than the corresponding RfD [800, 100 and 20 μg/(kg·d)] and health guidance values [30, 10 and 50 μg/(kg·d)]. The metabolite of DEP (MEP) was correlated with the progressive motility, normal sperm morphology, and testosterone level (P < 0.01); DnBP metabolite (MnBP) was correlated with normal sperm morphology (P < 0.05). Among the 4 metabolites of DEHP, MEHHP and MECPP were related to estrogen level (P < 0.05), and MEOHP and MEHP to estrogen and progesterone levels (P < 0.01). But, inflection points were only observed in the correlations between DEHP and some parameters [threshold doses are 2.9~3.6 and 5.0~5.8 μg/(kg·d)]. Conclusion There are 12 kinds of associations of PAEs exposure with semen parameters and sex hormone levels in college students in Chongqing. PAEs, though below RfD, can still causes male reproductive damage.

To collect permeability data and establish its database of fertilizer nutrients and water vapor through different polymer membranes for the development of polymer-coated fertilizer, the permeabilities of N-, P-, and K-nutrient from saturated aqueous of urea, NaH2PO4 and KCl solution and the permeability of water vapor through the membranes of poly lactic acid (PLA), its blends with polystyrene (PS), and its composites with humic acid (HA) particles were determined experimentally at the temperatures of 288, 298, and 308 K, respectively. The effects of the addition of PS and HA particles, temperature, and coating thickness on the permeability of fertilizer nutrient and water vapor were investigated. It was found that the addition of PS and HA increased the permeability for both the fertilizer nutrients and water vapor. The increase in temperature raised the permeability of N-, P-, and K-nutrient while decrease the permeability of water vapor in the range studied.

Although female genital tuberculosis may lead to infertility, pregnancy is still possible, especially through in vitro fertilization (IVF). In this eventuality, even latent tuberculosis (TB) infection is prone to reactivate. Because some of the symptoms of TB overlap with those of pregnancy, diagnosis and treatment may be delayed. We report the case of a 30-year-old infertile woman with repeated genital tuberculosis (GTB) who underwent two laparoscopic surgeries and anti-TB treatments. The woman conceived through IVF and, unfortunately, a cervical pregnancy was diagnosed, together with a third recurrence of GTB. When the condition became stable after anti-TB treatment, the pregnancy was terminated using oral mifepristone in combination with an ultrasound-guided local injection of methotrexate. The gestational sac was expelled 4 days later with minimal blood loss. In view of the reciprocal influence and interconnection between IVF, pregnancy, and TB, we conducted a literature review to provide valuable information for early diagnosis and treatment, as well as for routine screening before IVF of TB in infertile patients.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the main alimentary tract system malignancies affecting people worldwide. Adenomatous polyps are precursors of CRC, and therefore, preventing the development of these lesions may also prevent subsequent malignancy. However, the adenoma detection rate (ADR), a measure of the ability of a colonoscopist to identify and remove precancerous colorectal polyps, varies significantly among endoscopists. Here, we attempt to use a convolutional neural network (CNN) to generate a unique computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system by exploring in detail the multiple-scale performance of deep neural networks. We applied this system to 3,375 hand-labeled images from the screening colonoscopies of 1,197 patients; of whom, 3,045 were assigned to the training dataset and 330 to the testing dataset. The images were diagnosed simply as either an adenomatous or non-adenomatous polyp. When applied to the testing dataset, our CNN-CAD system achieved a mean average precision of 89.5%. We conclude that the proposed framework could increase the ADR and decrease the incidence of interval CRCs, although further validation through large multicenter trials is required.

Alteration in the environmental conditions will cause a reversed reaction between o/w emulsion and w/o emulsion that has similar advantages of different liquids form on the reversible invert emulsion. The reversible phase inversion of the emulsion has a benefit of dealing with drilling cutting, so the reversible invert emulsion also can be thought used as a drilling fluid. The phase inversion from w/o emulsion to o/w emulsion can be divided into three stages. They are w/o emulsion, w/o/w emulsion, and o/w emulsion. In the w/o emulsion stage, the structure appeared among water droplets when the percentage of the HCl solution (5%) was less than 0.375%. In the w/o/w emulsion stage, the structure among water droplets existed at the beginning of this stage; however, the internal phase and the external phase can interchange their positions during the process. In the third stage, the structures among droplets of the emulsion would be broken and the degree of the dispersion of the oil droplet in the emulsion would increase. The changes in the microstructure, conductivity, electrical stability, standing stability, and the viscosity of the emulsion, which have edified among droplets in the process from w/o emulsion to o/w emulsion, were studied. The result of the microstructure microscopic observation agrees with the result of the electrical stability and viscosity experiments. Moreover, the internal phase and the external phase can interchange positions during the process.

Multicomponent hybrid TiC-NbC(Zr, Si) powder was developed and manufactured by mechanosynthesis in a high-energy vibratory ball mill. High-purity fragmented TiC, NbC, Zr and Si powders were selected and mixed in a ratio of 60:15:10:15 at.%, respectively, to manufacture the above powder. Several modes of mechanosynthesis were chosen for the experiment: 3, 6, 9 and 12 hours. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray diffraction (XRD) analyzes were used to study the morphology, chemical and phase compositions of the obtained TiC-NbC(Zr, Si) powder. The SEM analysis confirmed the presence of all TiC, NbC, Zr and Si components in the final powder regardless of the mechanosynthesis time. However, the XRD analysis showed that after 9 and 12 hours of mechanosynthesis, the Zr and Si diffraction lines are completely absent. This occurs due to the dissolution of the Zr and Si elements in titanium and niobium carbides. In addition, it has been established that more than 6 hours are required to synthesize finely dispersed TiC-NbC(Zr, Si) powder. The study results can be useful for optimization of the mechanosynthesis process.

The paper presents a study of morphology and chemical composition of the TiNbZrSi powder customized by mechanoactivation in an experimental high-energy vibration ball mill equipped with steel mortars and balls of different diameters. The initially synthesized as-cast TiNbZrSi tablet was preliminarily ground into a powder with fraction of about 400 µm using a conventional bench hammer. After that, the above powder was subjected to mechanoactivation within 4 hours in an Ar atmosphere at room temperature. In addition, the synthesized TiNbZrSi powder was deposited onto additively manufactured Ti-6Al-4V ELI substrates through their co-mechanoactivation followed by annealing for 1 hour at a temperature of 800 °C to ensure better adhesion. The characterization of the TiNbZrSi powder before and after co-mechanoactivation with the specified substrate was carried out by scanning electron microscopy.

The reinforcing effect of graphene oxide (GO) in enhancing the flexural strength and flexural modulus of aramid fiber (AF)/epoxy composites were investigated with GO-AFs at a weight fraction of 0.1-0.7%. The flexural strength and flexural modulus of the composite reached 87.16 MPa and 1054.7 MPa, respectively, which were about 21.19% and 40.86% higher than those of the pure epoxy resin, respectively. In addition, the flexural properties and interfacial shear strength (IFSS) of composite reinforced by GO-AFs were much higher than the composites reinforced by AFs due to GO improved the interfacial bonding between the reinforcement material and matrix.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of the modified M-shaped flap for repairing defects following resection of lower lip cancer and to provide a reference for clinical application.Methods Fourteen cases using modified M-shaped flaps to repair lower lip cancer surgery defects were retrospectively analyzed. The postoperative follow-up patients’ flap survival, mouth opening, denture use, bilateral mouth angle symmetry, recurrence and survival were analyzed.Results Fourteen patients with lower lip cancer underwent reconstruction immediately after surgery, and the defect range after tumor resection was 30% to 50% of the lower lip. The continuity of the orbicularis oculi muscle is reconstructed by modified M-shaped flap to transfer bilateral residual lip tissue. The blood supply to the flap is stable. All patients’ flaps survived completely without complications, such as hemorrhage, infection or flap necrosis, and their lip movement and sensation recovered well. There were no obvious obstacles in opening and closing or pronunciation and dietary function, and the mean maximum opening was (3.06 ± 0.23) cm. Three patients used active dentures, which could be removed normally. All patients’mouths were preserved. Approximately 85.7% of patients (12/14) had bilateral symmetry of the bilateral mouth, the flaps matched the facial color, and the lower lip was naturally beautiful, as the scar was not obvious. After 6 months to 4 years of follow-up (mean 2 years and 6 months), no recurrence or death occurred.Conclusion The modified M-shaped valve design is simple and easy to operate. This method can be applied to 30% to 50% defect reconstructions of the lower lip to retain the corner of the mouth.

In view of problems of high cost of high-precision inertial navigation of underground vehicle and large drift of low-cost MEMS inertial sensor, an underground multi-sensor integrated navigation system was proposed, which uses bluetooth ranging information, MEMS inertial sensor and vehicle odometer information for integrated navigation. The system uses Kalman filter technology to fuse multi-sensor data, combines Bluetooth ranging information to suppress MEMS inertial sensor drift, and improve positioning accuracy of inertial sensor in a period of time; Vehicle position is predicted by MEMS inertial sensor to effectively filter out Bluetooth signal of interference tags, so as to improves data reliability; Integration of odometer data can make the positioning result more stable and reliable. The test results show that the positioning error of every 10 m is less than 3.2 m under the condition that the underground Bluetooth tags are distributed 10 m apart, which can meet requirements of underground navigation.

Objective To investigate the fatigue status and occurrence of systemic exertion intolerance disease (SEID) in soldiers from a unit of special operations force. Methods A total of 260 officers and soldiers from a SPF unit were selected in June 2018, and surveyed for fatigue level with multidimensional fatigue inventory 20 (MFI-20). According to the SEID diagnostic criteria recommended by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) in 2015, the occurrence and influencing factors of SEID were assessed using a questionnaire. Results The total score of MFI of the participants was 54.49±11.13, and the scores of general fatigue, physical fatigue, reduced activity, reduced motivation and mental fatigue were 13.63±3.48, 11.75±3.48, 9.72±2.33, 9.00±2.52 and 10.39±3.74, respectively. About 34.27% of the participants suffered from deep fatigue for longer than half a year. The incidences of SEID-related symptoms were 76.00% for unrefreshing sleep, 71.54% for substantial reduction or impairment in the ability, 46.18% for cognitive impairment, 26.52% for orthostatic intolerance and 22.09% for post-exertional malaise in order. According to the diagnostic criteria recommended by IOM, the incidence of SEID was 12.61%. The daily training time was closely correlated to fatigue level (r=0.223, P < 0.01) and SEID incidence (P=0.039). There were no differences in fatigue score and SEID incidence among the participants of different durations of military service, posts and other factors. Conclusion The fatigue score and incidence of SEID are quite high in the participants. The daily training time is closely correlated to fatigue level and SEID incidence.
