Objective: The objective was to develop a diaper cream for children under 3 years old, meeting strict safety and regulatory standards, and ensuring physical, chemical and microbiological stability. Methods: The active substances as well as the excipients were rigorously selected. The critical HLB value of sweet almond oil has been determined. The operating parameters were optimized, in particular the temperature and time of addition of active substances, as well as the final stirring time. Physico-chemical and microbiological controls were carried out. Results: The HLBc value determined corresponded to that in the literature. The zinc oxide incorporated into the mixture of the two phases after cooling and the calendula extract incorporated into the aqueous phase before heating made it possible to obtain the most stable formulation. The final stirring time was set. The physicochemical and microbiological controls were compliant. Conclusion: The developed cream is suitable for children thanks to its safe composition and its microbiological, chemical and physical stability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
