In this study, porous poly(L‐lactic acid) (PLLA) films are prepared via a facile and low‐cost approach using poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and solution casting. In contrast to most studies, the PEG/PLLA samples are further processed under different crystallization conditions (i.e., different PLLA crystallization temperatures) before PEG removal. As the PEG is extracted via solvent at higher PLLA crystallization temperatures, the resultant PLLA samples have larger pores. Interconnected fibrillar‐shaped pores are found in all systems, and the fibrillar‐porous structure width is ~150 nm–1.2 μm, as observed via scanning electron microscopy. These pore sizes can be tuned by adjusting the blend composition and crystallization temperature. In addition, PEG/PLLA blends are subjected to hydrolytic degradation analysis according to their crystallization conditions. Higher PLLA crystallization temperature yields higher PLLA crystallinity and larger pores, as well as reduced surface interaction with water. Therefore, the PLLA degradation rate is decreased. In recent years, the popular adaptive front-lighting automobile headlight system has become a main emphasis of research that manufacturers will continue to focus great efforts on in the future. In this research we propose a new integral optical design for an automotive headlight system with an advanced light-emitting diode and digital micromirror device (DMD). Traditionally, automobile headlights have all been designed as a low beam light module, whereas the high beam light module still requires using accessory lamps. In anticipation of this new concept of integral optical design, we have researched and designed a single optical system with high and low beam capabilities. To switch on and off the beams, a DMD is typically used. Because DMDs have the capability of redirecting incident light into a specific angle, they also determine the shape of the high or low light beam in order to match the standard of headlight illumination. With collocation of the multicurvature reflection lens design, a DMD can control the light energy distribution and thereby reinforce the resolution of the light beam. Herein, the aspects of ion migration in polycrystalline CH3NH3PbBr3 thin film and their phenomenal influences on the output performance of perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) are reported. The physical insight of bias‐induced migration of mobile ions in the perovskite active layer effectuating the observed non‐linearity in the increased magnitude of electroluminescence (EL) and luminous efficiency (LE) as a function of current density for PeLEDs is directly evidenced using the capacitance spectroscopy. Adding the zwitterion molecule, Choline chloride (Ch.Cl), in CH3NH3PbBr3 precursor solution for preparing polycrystalline perovskite film effectively passivates the charged defects, either positively or negatively, in organic‐inorganic halide perovskite and most importantly interferes the migration of ions crossing the grains in PeLEDs as verified by the higher calculated magnitude of the activation energy for the migration of mobile ions. As a result, the Ch.Cl‐additive devices exhibit the rather stable EL and LE magnitude under the electric bias. EL magnitude increases linearly as a function of current density, revealing the epitome of output characteristics for decent light‐emitting diodes. To suppress the influence of the migrating ions on operating PeLEDs is a key issue before it is stepped further to advance the efficiencies and the operational stabilities of perovskite devices. Fast dynamics within the microwave frequency range (approximately gigahertz) in polymer systems as a function of temperature (in the range from 20 to 190 °C) were studied using high frequency dielectric spectroscopy. The frequency of radiation was varied from 0.5 to 18 GHz. The isochronal dielectric loss data were taken to eliminate the complexity arising from the frequency-independent, temperature-dependent background loss in the condensed phase. These studies were conducted for poly(caprolactone) (PCL), poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), poly(ethylene oxide) with methoxy end group (PEO-CH3), PLA-b-PEO-b-PLA triblock copolymers, and several polymers with high glass transition temperatures. These polymers possess glass temperatures ranging from -62 °C (PCL) to 110 °C (PMMA). One broad relaxation process was found only for polymers (PCL, PEO, and PLA-b-PEO-b-PLA) with low glass transition temperatures. The effect due to end groups was investigated by comparing the results of PEO with hydroxy versus methoxy end groups. The measured relaxation process was determined not to be associated with end groups. The results from temperature-dependent dielectric spectroscopy indicate that the relaxation process follows an Arrhenius T dependence suggesting that it is due to local motions. The activation energy of the relaxation process was measured and investigated based on the coupling model. The results suggest that the observed relaxation process behaves as a Johari-Goldstein β relaxation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
