Abstract

Several two-dimensional equations are developed to explain the various magnetoelectric effects observed in the multiferroic laminated plates. The coupled extensional, flexural and the thickness-shear motions of the plates are also studied.

Abstract

The reactions of [Fe.sub.2][CO.sub.9]) with Pd[[PBu.sup.1.sub.3].sub.2] produced the new palladium- and platinum-iron complexes [Fe.sub.2][CO.sub.9-]) [M[PBu.sup.1.sub.3).sub.2]]. The structures of palladium (Pd) and platinum (Pt) complexes are found to be analogous and consist of nearly planar butterfly clusters of two palladium/platinum atoms in the wing-tip positions and tow mutually bonded iron atoms.

Abstract

The influence of seed layer on both structural and magnetic properties of laminated [Co.sub.65][Fe.sub.35] films with different seed layers is examined. The studies have shown that the effects can be understood in terms of the grain size dependence of the coercivity once the grain size is determined to proper resolution.

Abstract

The syntheses, crystal structures, and magnetic properties of four one-dimensional cyanobridged heterobimetallic chain complexes are presented. Complexes [(TP)2[Fe.sub.2.sup.III](CN)6Cu(CH3OH).2CH3OH]n and [(TP)2[Fe.sub.2.sup.III](CN)6Cu(DMF).DMF]n ( Tp=tris(pyrazolyl)hydroborate ) show single chain magnets behavior.
