This paper focuses on the pain point of the display screen, by reducing the difference of the luminous intensity of RGB chip under the large angle of view, to improve the quality of large view. Tabletop integral imaging display with a more realistic and immersive experience has always been a hot spot in three-dimensional imaging technology, widely used in biomedical imaging and visualization to enhance medical diagnosis. However, the traditional structural characteristics of integral imaging display inevitably introduce the flipping effect outside the effective viewing angle. Here, a full-parallax tabletop integral imaging display without the flipping effect based on space-multiplexed voxel screen and compound lens array is demonstrated, and two holographic functional screens with different parameters are optically designed and fabricated. To eliminate the flipping effect in the reconstruction process, the space-multiplexed voxel screen consisting of a projector array and the holographic functional screen is presented to constrain light beams passing through the corresponding lens. To greatly promote imaging quality within the viewing area, the aspherical structure of the compound lens is optimized to balance the aberrations. It cooperates with the holographic functional screen to modulate the light field spatial distribution. Compared with the simulation results, the distortion rate of the imaging display is reduced to less than 9% from more than 30%. In the experiment, the floating high-quality reconstructed three-dimensional image without the flipping effect can be observed with the correct 3D perception at 96°×96° viewing angle, where 44,100 viewpoints are employed. In this work, a design and adjustment of TN Slit was developed for naked eye 3D display. And with module of eye tracking algorithm(X/Y/Z axis), large viewing angle and distance were achieved. The adjustment principle of TN Slit was explained in this paper. Curved integral imaging for three-dimensional (3D) displays is well-known for offering an immersive experience and a wider display field of view. Presently, numerous techniques for fabricating curved microlens arrays (curved MLA) have been documented. Nevertheless, the majority of prior research relied on indirect approaches, like utilizing flexible substrates or creating molds. This paper introduces a method for directly fabricating microlens arrays (MLAs) on curved quartz glass. Well-designed arrays of controlled adhesive droplets were created on a hydrophilic-hydrophobic patterned surface. The resulting MLAs, manufactured on a curved substrate with a radius of 10 cm and dimensions of 5 cm × 5 cm, exhibit an 826.5 μm diameter, 56 μm inter-lens spacing, and a 4.5 mm focal length. The effective area of the curved MLA measures 45.8 mm × 45.8 mm. The study encompasses the design of a 2D elemental image and its integration with the curved MLA to achieve a compelling 3D display effect. The lateral viewing range is 2.2 cm. Notably, the field of view angle for the MLA, fabricated on a curved substrate, reached 11.2°, surpassing that of planar MLAs. The imaging system delivers an extensive field of view and attains a realistic 3D stereoscopic display effect. Abstract The decreasing pixel size of digital image sensors for high-resolution imaging brings a great challenge for the matching color filters. Currently, the conventional dye color filters with pixel size of several microns set a fundamental limit for the imaging resolution. Here, we put forward a kind of structural color filter with circular nanohole-nanodisk hybrid nanostructure arrays at sub-diffraction-limit spatial resolution based on the uncoupled localized surface plasmon polaritons (LSPPs). Due to the uncoupled LSPPs taking effect, the pixel could generate an individual color even though operating as a single element. The pixel size for the minimum color filtering is as small as 180 × 180 nm2, translating into printing pixels at a resolution of ~ 141,000 dots per inch (dpi). In addition, through both the experimental and numerical investigations, the structural color thus generated exhibits wide color gamut, large viewing angle, and polarization independence. These results indicate that the proposed structural color can have enormous potential for diverse applications in nanoscale optical filters, microscale images for security purposes, and high-density optical data storage.

A curved integral imaging three-dimensional (3D) display attracts a lot of interest due to its enhanced 3D sense of immersion and wider viewing angle. In this paper, a microlens array (MLA) based on a flexible poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) substrate was achieved by a straightforward, rapid, and low-cost technique. The reactive ion etching (RIE) process treated PET/CYTOP covered with a flexible mask to generate a hydrophilic-hydrophobic patterned surface. The well-designed arrays of confined adhesive droplets with a controlled geometry on a hydrophilic-hydrophobic patterned surface were formed using the blade-coating method. A flexible MLA with a diameter of 820 μm, a size of 5.3 cm × 5.1 cm, and a radius of curvature of 25 cm was fabricated and combined with a curved two-dimensional (2D) monitor to realize a lateral viewing range of 6.4 cm at a viewing distance of 25 cm, which is 4 times larger than with flat integral imaging 3D display system. The flexible MLA has the advantages of a controllable lens profile and large pitch, and it can be manufactured on a large scale. In the liquid crystal display, IPS or FFS display modes are widely used for its excellent performance. However, the edge electric field between the Data line and the pixel or com electrode generates a tilt angle to the liquid‐crystal molecules, which will cause of light‐leaking under the large viewing angle. A full-parallax tabletop three dimensional (3D) light-field display with high viewpoint density and large viewing angle is demonstrated based on the space-multiplexed voxel screen, which consists of nine projectors and a holographic functional screen. Each voxel point on the space-multiplexed voxel screen emits nine light beams with different directions to reconstruct nine different viewing areas, and the viewpoint density in the large viewing angle is significantly improved. As the viewpoint density increases, the aliasing phenomenon is reduced. Simulation and comparison experiments of the 3D light-field display system with the liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and space-multiplexed voxel screen are carried out, and results show the effectiveness of the proposed method. A large viewing angle floating three-dimensional (3D) light field display based on spatial data reconstruction (SDR) algorithm is presented. It consists of the 3D light field display unit (LFDU) and the floating display unit (FDU). With the time-sequential directional backlight system, LFDU can provide 3D scenes with a large viewing angle in the horizontal direction. Based on FDU, the floating display has a large off-screen display depth, and the SDR algorithm is introduced to improve the 3D image quality. Combining the SDR algorithm with the time-sequential directional backlight system, a large viewing angle and image quality enhanced floating 3D light field display is realized. For the demonstrated floating 3D light field system, the floating 3D images can be reconstructed by the optical system within the viewing angle of 60 degrees. Achieving structural colors with wide color gamut, large viewing angle, and high resolution remains practically challenging. Here, proposed is an asymmetric Fabry–Perot (F–P) lossy cavity to realize subtractive colors, simultaneously featuring wide gamut, angle insensitivity, high resolution, and good flexibility. The experimental results demonstrate that the realized structural colors are insensitive to the viewing angle up to ±60°, arising from the negligible light propagation phase shift in the ultrathin lossy cavity made of an amorphous silicon (a‐Si) layer; they also exhibit a wide color gamut covering the whole cyan, magenta, and yellow (CMY) color system, simply achieved through changing the thicknesses of the top metal layer and the middle lossy a‐Si layer. The ultrathin configuration enables printing such colors at a deep‐subwavelength resolution, and the ease of experimental fabrication enables their implementation on soft substrates. Accordingly, a 2D sketched image is printed using this cavity at a resolution of 150 000 dots per inch (dpi) in the geometrical space, corresponding to a minimum color pixel of 160 nm, well beyond the diffraction limit; a flexible structural color membrane with wide color gamut and large viewing angle is well adhered on an airplane model with a complex surface profile. A one-dimensional integral imaging (1DII) display with large viewing angle is proposed in this paper. The proposed 1DII display is composed of a display panel, a barrier array and a parallax barrier. The barriers, which are located at the junction of adjacent elemental images on the display panel, are perpendicular to the display panel and the parallax barrier. It is different from the previous 1DII display using the barrier array that the aperture centers of the slits aren’t aligned with the centers of the corresponding element images. Moreover, the most important difference is that the pitch of the slit is small than that of the elemental image. The widths of all viewing zones reconstructed by elemental images are identical at the optimal viewing distance. Thus, the viewing angle of the proposed 1DII display isn’t affected by the number of the slits and the elemental images.
