The article discusses how an eye care practitioner can provide distinct service to his patients, thus improving patient satisfaction with his contact lenses and avert drop-outs. One way is to improve case history by spending more time for it and asking questions designed to discover unmet patient needs and wants. Another way is consultative prescribing to meet these needs and wants relevantly. Case examples and suggested questions for case history are presented.
