Soft actuators can harvest environmental energy and convert it into kinetic energy for motions like bending, twisting, stretching, and contracting. However, it remains challenging to design soft film actuators for complex and programmable deformation in three dimensions. Herein, a weldable and patternable multi‐stimuli‐responsive bilayer soft actuator is developed by a mask‐assisted spraying coating process, and its 3D geometries are achieved by welding the sodium alginate (SA) layer using water. The intrinsic hygroscopicity of SA film and the magnetic and photothermal properties of Fe3O4 nanoparticles enable reversible deformation of the bilayer actuator under three different external stimuli: moisture, magnetic field, and sunlight. Based on these properties, a variety of multi‐stimuli‐responsive intelligent devices are developed including smart curtains, smart grippers, biomimetic walkers, rolling actuators, swimmers, and windmill rotators. All these actuating stimulations are derived from naturally renewable energy without the consumption of any artificial energy, providing important enlightenment for green and sustainable applications of soft actuators. STUDY QUESTION Is dietary non-enzymatic antioxidant capacity related to semen quality? SUMMARY ANSWER The only statistically significant association of semen quality parameters with dietary total antioxidant capacity (DTAC) detected was an inverse association between DTAC and ejaculate volume. WHAT IS KNOWN ALREADY Growing interest exists regarding the role of diet in influencing semen quality. While DTAC is linked to favorable health outcomes, its association with semen quality, especially among men attending infertility clinics, remains understudied. STUDY DESIGN, SIZE, DURATION This cross-sectional study was carried out between June and December of 2020. In total, 1715 participants were included in the final analysis. PARTICIPANTS/MATERIALS, SETTING, METHODS Men who attended an infertility clinic in China were enrolled. Experienced clinical technicians performed the semen analysis. The DTAC indices included the ferric-reducing ability of plasma, oxygen radical absorbance capacity, total reactive antioxidant potential, and Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity. The quantile regression model was used for multivariate analysis. MAIN RESULTS AND THE ROLE OF CHANCE After adjustment for a variety of confounding variables, a significant inverse association was identified between DTAC and ejaculate volume (βcontinuous FRAP = −0.015, 95% CI = −0.023, −0.006, βT3 vs T1 = −0.193, 95% CI = −0.379, −0.006, P trend = 0.007; βcontinuous TRAP = −0.019, 95% CI = −0.041, 0.002, βT3 vs T1 = −0.291, 95% CI = −0.469, −0.112, P trend = 0.002). The majority of DTAC indices have no statistically significant association with semen quality parameters. LIMITATIONS, REASONS FOR CAUTION We cannot infer causality because of the nature of the cross-sectional study design. The robustness of the conclusion may be compromised by the exactness of non-enzymatic antioxidant capacity estimation. WIDER IMPLICATIONS OF THE FINDINGS Our findings demonstrated no association between DTAC indices and semen quality parameters among men attending an infertility clinic, except for ejaculate volume. Even though our findings are mostly non-significant, they contribute novel knowledge to the field of study while also laying the groundwork for future well-designed studies. Objective: To evaluate the feasibility of endometrial sampler Pipelle for endometrial histologic diagnosis., Methods: Using prospective and self-control methods, 200 patients with endometrial biopsy firstly used Pipelle endometrial sampler for endometrial tissue, then followed by diagnostic curettage, the same pathologist evaluated the specimen quality and made the histologic diagnosis., Results: Totally 200 patients completed the observation, the specimen satisfaction of Pipelle was 93.0% (in this 200 cases, 186 cases were satisfactory), its pathological accuracy was 85.0% (in this 200 cases, 170 cases' pathological results are highly consistent with diagnostic curettage). There was no significant difference between two kinds of endometrial sampling (P > 0.05). There was no pain for patients during the Pipelle using process., Conclusion: Pipelle could obtain satisfactory samples used for histological diagnosis in normal endometrium, simple hyperplasia, complex hyperplasia, atypical hyperplasia and endometrial cancer disease, because its pathological accuracy is so close to the diagnostic curettage, which may be used as a routine screening tool of endometrial diseases.
