Introduction: Open data for the validation and generalization of research results as well as the recycling of datasets is a felt need in healthcare. Objective: to describe the FAIR principles for research data management. Method: a search in the Scopus, SciELO, Redalyc and PubMed/MedLine databases for gathering information was carried out applying a formula with the combined use of terms and Boolean operators. The terms "Open data", "research data", and "FAIR" were used. Development: Open data mean a breakthrough in information sciences, and even in health field has made progress in the last decade. It is not enough just to produce and share data, they must comply a set of principles for digitalizing, reproducing and recycling. FAIR data seek to achieve findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable datasets, as well as the elimination of cultural, socioeconomic and technical barriers. The FAIR principles application in health sciences allows a better use of resources avoiding the replication of research with negative results, granting the reuse of data and the generalization of results by combining them. Conclusions: the FAIR principles seek to strengthen open science, eliminate barriers, for developing infrastructures, protocols and data policies. The application in health sciences is of great value, as constitute a powerful tool for improving research and care practices.

Introduction: technological developments in artificial intelligence and health are necessary for Latin American health systems. Objective: to describe the trends in scientific production on artificial intelligence and health in Latin America in Scopus. Method: This is a retrospective bibliometric study of Latin American authors' scientific production on artificial intelligence and health in Scopus between 2012 and 2021. Production, visibility and impact indicators were used. VOSviewer and SciVal were used for data analysis. Results: 2871 articles were published, with a variation between 2012 and 2021 of 94.98%. 2,397 articles were original, and 2,741 were written in English. 58.3% were published in first-quartile journals, the most productive being Sensors (Ndoc=79) and Plos One (Ndoc=66). 64,128 citations were received (mean of 22.3 citations per article). Brazil was the most productive country (Ndoc=1420), and the institution was the University of São Paulo (Ndoc=288). 498 thematic groups were identified, and 1376 themes. 54% of the articles had international collaboration and 3.3% with academic-corporation collaboration. Conclusions: there is a growing scientific production on artificial intelligence and health in Latin America, written mainly in English, medical, engineering and computer science research areas, disseminated in specialized magazines in the first quartiles. Brazil and its institutions were the top producers. The main topics were predictive models and the application of artificial intelligence for classifying, diagnosing and treating diseases.

Introducción: los datos abiertos para la validación y generalización de los resultados de investigación, así como el reciclaje de sets de datos constituye una sentida necesidad en la asistencia médica. Objetivo: describir los principios FAIR de gestión de datos de investigación. Método: se realizó una búsqueda de información en las bases de datos Scopus, SciELO, Redalyc y PubMed/MedLine mediante una fórmula con el uso combinado de términos y operadores booleanos. Se emplearon los términos “Datos abiertos”, “datos de investigación”, “FAIR”. Desarrollo: los datos abiertos representan un avance en las ciencias de la información, y en el campo de la salud han alcanzado progresos en la última década. No basta solo con producir y compartir datos, estos deben cumplir un conjunto de principios para su digitalización, reproducibilidad y reciclaje. Los FAIR buscan lograr sets de datos localizables, accesibles, interoperables y reutilizables, así como la eliminación de barreras culturales, socioeconómicas y técnicas. Su aplicación en las ciencias de la salud permite un mejor uso de los recursos al evitar la replicación de investigaciones con resultados negativos, concede la reutilización de datos y la generalización de resultados mediante la combinación de los mismos. Conclusiones: los principios FAIR buscan fortalecer la ciencia abierta, eliminar barreras, desarrollar infraestructuras, protocolos y políticas de datos. Su aplicación en las ciencias de la salud es de gran valor, por constituir una poderosa herramienta para mejorar las prácticas investigativas y asistenciales.

Introduction: Academic excellence constitutes one of the most important and controversial elements in contemporary higher education; since its determination is closely linked to the processes of administrative management and teaching performance. The objective of a master's degree is to train professionals in specific areas of knowledge who are capable of conducting research with high scientific rigor, as well as to develop their professional practice with a high level of specialization.Objective: To describe the main results of the implementation of a strategy to raise the standards of quality, standardization, visibility and scientific impact of the Master's Degree in Integrated Management of Nursing Services.Results: The main strategies implemented are presented, grouped in three stages. In the first stage, the restructuring of the thesis follow-up was developed with the creation of the Scientific Tutoring section and the standardization of the pre-project, project and thesis models, the decision to follow up the thesis virtually, with traceability and transparency. The second stage included the creation of a thesis evaluation committee, development of a master's thesis repository, thesis director bank, and curricular adjustments. The third stage included the creation of the Scientific Tutoring Microsite and the implementation of the thesis in scientific article format.Conclusions: The implemented strategies developed have allowed to raise to 119 graduates in the last two years, of which 15 are theses in article format, to improve the flows of response and follow-up of theses.

The aim of interculturality is to build a more democratic society through the conceptualization, description and evaluation of patterns of appropriation and reconstruction of meaning among different human groups. This scientific article aims to describe the role of nursing in intercultural health, with special emphasis on the challenges in the Argentinean context. Nursing is a profession that is changing the ways of approaching health from different roles, if current approaches are taken into account, given that different social groups demand in relation to their belief systems, and how they perceive themselves in different socio-cultural and historical contexts. Interculturality expands our performance in the field of health and education, creating new specialties that will take shape in our research advances, so it is important to invest sustainably for our full development, scientific, technological and human, in order to provide a better quality of life for all humanity and all existences of life, to value and create awareness of the cosmogony of all origins.

COVID-19, or severe acute respiratory syndrome type 2 coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), is transmitted through large droplets generated during coughs and sneezes by symptomatic patients, but can also occur in asymptomatic individuals and before onset. of symptoms. Dental services are not unrelated to the COVID-19 pandemic. This article describes some considerations based on dental care in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the scenario we live in today, a lot of uncertainty is generated in the decision-making process. We are aware that the extreme dynamics of the outbreak and the relative speed of information gathering can determine a sudden change of opinion and recommendations for the prevention of SAR-CoV-2 infection in the setting of dental care. Stomatology professionals are extremely exposed to the risk of SAR-CoV-2 infection, so it is necessary to take proactive and preventive measures as a pillar to contain the spread of the virus.
