Abstract

With the rapid growth of Internet technologies, cloud computing and social networks have become ubiquitous. An increasing number of people participate in social networks and massive online social data are obtained. In order to exploit knowledge from copious amounts of data obtained and predict social behavior of users, we urge to realize data mining in social networks. Almost all online websites use cloud services to effectively process the large scale of social data, which are gathered from distributed data centers. These data are so large-scale, high-dimension and widely distributed that we propose a distributed sparse online algorithm to handle them. Additionally, privacy-protection is an important point in social networks. We should not compromise the privacy of individuals in networks, while these social data are being learned for data mining. Thus we also consider the privacy problem in this article. Our simulations shows that the appropriate sparsity of data would enhance the performance of our algorithm and the privacy-preserving method does not significantly hurt the performance of the proposed algorithm., Comment: ICC2016

7. Differentially Private Distributed Online Learning

Abstract

Online learning has been in the spotlight from the machine learning society for a long time. To handle massive data in Big Data era, one single learner could never efficiently finish this heavy task. Hence, in this paper, we propose a novel distributed online learning algorithm to solve the problem. Comparing to typical centralized online learner, the distributed learners optimize their own learning parameters based on local data sources and timely communicate with neighbors. However, communication may lead to a privacy breach. Thus, we use differential privacy to preserve the privacy of learners, and study the influence of guaranteeing differential privacy on the utility of the distributed online learning algorithm. Furthermore, by using the results from Kakade and Tewari (2009), we use the regret bounds of online learning to achieve fast convergence rates for offline learning algorithms in distributed scenarios, which provides tighter utility performance than the existing state-of-the-art results. In simulation, we demonstrate that the differentially private offline learning algorithm has high variance, but we can use mini-batch to improve the performance. Finally, the simulations show that the analytical results of our proposed theorems are right and our private distributed online learning algorithm is a general framework.

9. Efficiency Improvement of UVC LEDs by Epoxy Molding Compound With Metallized Reflector

Abstract

We propose an epoxy molding compound (EMC) encapsulation method based on a metallized reflector to enhance light extraction of deep ultraviolet light-emitting diodes (DUV-LEDs). From the optical simulation, the highest light output efficiency of the DUV-LEDs is measured when the angle of the metallied reflector is 35° and the height is 0.5-mm. The optimized EMC structure is fabricated for application to DUV-LEDs packaging. The light output power of the EMC metallized reflector is improved by 14.3% compared to the conventional ceramic package at 20-mA. The thermal resistance of the EMC is 18.16-K/W. Furthermore, after aging tests at 60 °C and 60 °C, 90 %RH for 1000h, the relative light output power of the EMC metallized reflector is decreased by 12% and 14%, respectively.

Abstract

Objective: To discuss the method of establishing a cytokine release syndrome (CRS) model by constructing murine-oriented chimeric antigen receptor-modified T (CAR-T) cells expressing IL-12 and infusing them back into mice via the tail vein. Methods: CAR molecules targeting murine-derived CD19 were constructed, in which the retroviral vectors were packaged, and then the constructed molecules were used to infect mouse T cells to prepare mCD19-CAR-T and mCD19/IL-12-CAR-T cells. The anti-tumor activity of mCD19/IL-12-CAR-T cells was measured by constructing pancreatic cancer Panc02-CD19 cell transplanted tumor model in mice, and the levels of IL-12 and IFN-γ secreted by two CAR-T cells were detected by ELISA; CRS model was constructed by infusing mCD 19/IL- 12-CAR-T cells back into the tail vein of the mice. The levels of IL-6, MCP-1, IL-1, IL-10, TNF-α, IFN- γ, and other cytokines in the serum of mice were detected by flow cytometry, and the histopathological changes of liver, spleen, lung, and kidney of the mice were observed by H-E staining. Results: After culture expansion, mCD19/IL-12-CAR-T cells could effectively secrete IL-12, and the CAR positive rate reached (56.9±5.4)%; the modified T cells could efficiently secrete IFN-γ no matter co-cultured with non-targeted Panc02 cells or targeted Panc02-CD19 cells. A mouse pancreatic cancer Panc02-CD19 cell transplanted tumor model was successfully constructed, and the tail vein infusion of 1x106 mCD19/IL-12-CAR-T cells significantly inhibited the growth of the transplanted tumor, but failed to induce severe CRS; after the infusion of 2x106 mCD19/IL-12-CAR-T cells, a series of typical CRS manifestations such as reduced body mass, elevated serum inflammatory factor levels, tissue damage and even death were observed in the mice. Conclusion: The IL-12-CAR-T cell-induced CRS model in mice was successfully constructed, and it is stable and reproducible with wide application prospects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

In this paper, a wideband low noise amplifier (LNA) of bandwidth 2–4 GHz, gain more than 31 dB, flatness fluctuating in ±0.44 dB and maximum noise figure less than 2.2 dB is proposed. The LNA is in a two-stage cascade structure and the same bias voltage conditions is used by each stage. The impedance matching is adjusted by the capacitive feedback at low frequency and the resistance feedback at high frequency. Thus the wide-band matching and flat gain is realized. The output power at 1 dB compression point is more than 14.8 dBm and a compact chip area is 2mm×1.58mm including RF pad. The LNA features broad bandwidth, relatively high gain, low noise figure and an excellent gain flatness, and will be further used in S-band application.
