The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the American Statistical Association (SFASA) held its fifth K-12 student summer program, where students created and led their own statistical research projects. Mentored by chapter officers and volunteers, students worked on projects such as analyzing the effect of demographics on homelessness in California, investigating molecules for breast cancer treatment, and conducting logistic regression analysis on the video game VALORANT. The program provided students with valuable learning experiences and inspired their passion for statistics. [Extracted from the article]
