We report a comprehensive study of electronic band structure for single-layer (SL) and bilayer (BL) RP-nickelates probed by in-situ HP X-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES). At ambient pressure (AP), the energy splitting delta_E of d_3z^2-r^2 and d_x^2-y^2 bands are directly observed in La3Ni2O7 (BL-La327) but not in La2NiO4 (SL-La214) above E_F, underlining the critical role of inner apical O atoms. A combination of DFT-based electronic band structure and projected density of states (PDOS) calculations with simulated XANES enables us to explain the observed main XANES features labelled by a, A, B', B and C when considering the orbital hybridizations, crystal field splitting (CFS) and core-hole screening of different 3d configurations for SL-La214 and BL-La327 nickelates. At high pressure (HP), the delta_E values of pre-edge peak form a dome-like evolution above 7.7 GPa with the maximum locating at around 20 GPa for metallic BL-La327. Analysis of its integrated area and FWHM provides strong evidence that the bonding d_3z^2-r^2 band crosses E_F above about 7.7 GPa for the metallic BL-La327. Growth of integrated area of pre-edge peak and C peak further evidences pressure-induced hole doping effect. Meanwhile, the pressure dependent FWHM of pre-edge peak implies a nonmonotonic evolution of orbital-selective electronic correlation above 7.7 GPa with extrema emerging at about 20 GPa. Moreover, we estimate the relative hole doping level using the energy shift of pre-edge peak, yielding 0.074 hole per Ni site or equivalently 1.1*10^21 cm^-3 at 20 GPa for the metallic BL-La327, which is comparable to cuprates. Our results have timely examined the electronic band structures as obtained from theoretical calculations, emphasizing the essential role of both d_3z^2-r^2 and d_x^2-y^2 bands as well as the electronic correlation in superconducting pairing for pressurized La3Ni2O7.

Topological transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have attracted much attention due to its potential applications in spintronics and quantum computations. In this work, we systematically investigate the structural and electronic properties of topological TMDCs candidate ZrTe2 under high pressure. A pressure-induced Lifshitz transition is evidenced by the change of charge carrier type as well as the Fermi surface. Superconductivity was observed at around 8.3 GPa without structural phase transition. A typical dome-shape phase diagram is obtained with the maximum Tc of 5.6 K for ZrTe2. Furthermore, our theoretical calculations suggest the presence of multiple pressure-induced topological quantum phase transitions, which coexists with emergence of superconductivity. Ai4EComponentLib.jl(Ai4EComponentLib) is a component-base model library based on Julia language, which relies on the differential equation solver DifferentialEquations.jl and the symbolic modeling tool Modelingtoolkit.jl. To handle problems in different physical domains, Ai4EComponentLib tries to build them with component-base model. Supported by a new generation of symbolic modeling tools, models built with Ai4EComponentLib are more flexible and scalable than models built with traditional tools like Modelica. OptControl.jl(OptControl) implements that modeling optimal control problems with symbolic algebra system based on Julia language, and generates the corresponding numerical optimization codes to solve them with packages from Julia. OptControl does not define a data type, but generates a solution script by handling Julia strings and runs the script automatically. It also provides an interface to save script files. Meanwhile, OptControl supports component-based modeling, which makes it easy to build the optimal control problem of complex systems. The Closeby Habitable Exoplanet Survey (CHES) mission is proposed to discover habitable-zone Earth-like planets of the nearby solar-type stars ($\sim 10~\mathrm{pc}$ away from our solar system) via micro-arcsecond relative astrometry. The major scientific objectives of CHES are: to search for Earth Twins or terrestrial planets in habitable zones orbiting 100 FGK nearby stars; further to conduct a comprehensive survey and extensively characterize the nearby planetary systems. The primary payload is a high-quality, low-distortion, high-stability telescope. The optical subsystem is a coaxial three-mirror anastigmat (TMA) with a $1.2 \mathrm{~m}$-aperture, $0.44^{\circ} \times 0.44^{\circ}$ field of view and $500 \mathrm{~nm}-900 \mathrm{~nm}$ working waveband. The camera focal plane is composed of 81 MOSAIC scientific CMOS detectors each with $4 \mathrm{~K} \times 4 \mathrm{~K}$ pixels. The heterodyne laser interferometric calibration technology is employed to ensure micro-arcsecond level (1 $\mu$as) relative astrometry precision to meet the requirements for detection of Earth-like planets. CHES satellite operates at the Sun-Earth L2 point and observes the entire target stars for 5 years. CHES will offer the first direct measurements of true masses and inclinations of Earth Twins and super-Earths orbiting our neighbor stars based on micro-arcsecond astrometry from space. The rich nontrivial topological phases rooted in the interplay between magnetism and topology in the layered antiferromagnet EuCd2As2 have captured vast attention, especially the ideal Weyl semimetal state realized in the spin-polarized ferromagnetic (FM) structure driven by a moderate external magnetic field. In this work, combining high-pressure magnetotransport measurements, structure chracterizations and first principles calculations, we find that application of pressure can also realize the ideal Weyl state in EuCd2As2 through driving the in-plane antiferromagnetic state across an intermediate in-plane FM state then into the out-of-plane FM state. Our high-pressure angle dispersive X-ray diffraction and X-ray absorption near-edge spectroscopy measurements excluded structure transition and/or change of Eu2+ valence state as the sources for the magnetic phase transitions. Alternatively, the apparently reduced axial ratio (c/a) and compressed Eu-layer space distance should play important roles. Our result provides an alternative way to realize the ideal Weyl semimetal state in EuCd2As2 and would be instructive for the exploration of exotic topological properties in such layered magnetic topological phase with strongly competing magnetic exchanges by using high pressure., Comment: main text 16 pages,4 figures and SI 8 pages, 4 figures

We report a record high superconducting transition temperature ($T_{\rm c}$) up to 23.6 K under high pressure in the elemental metal Ti, one of the top ten most abundant elements in Earth's crust. The $T_{\rm c}$ increases monotonically from 2.3 K at 40.3 GPa to 23.6 K at 144.9 GPa, which surpasses all known records from elemental metals reported so far. With further compression, a robust $T_{\rm c}$ of ~23 K is observed between 144.9 and 183 GPa in the $\delta$-Ti phase. The pressure-dependent $T_{\rm c}$ can be well described by the conventional electron-phonon coupling (EPC) mechanism. Density Functional Theory calculations show the Fermi nesting and the phonon softening of optical branches at the $\gamma$-Ti to $\delta$-Ti phase transition pressure enhance EPC, which results in the record high $T_{\rm c}$. We attribute the robust superconductivity in $\delta$-Ti to the apparent robustness of its strong EPC against lattice compression. These results provide new insight into exploring new high-$T_{\rm c}$ elemental metals and Ti-based superconducting alloys.

Asteroid Impacts pose a major threat to all life on the Earth. Deflecting the asteroid from the impact trajectory is an important way to mitigate the threat. A kinetic impactor remains to be the most feasible method to deflect the asteroid. However, due to the constraint of the launch capability, an impactor with the limited mass can only produce a very limited amount of velocity increment for the asteroid. In order to improve the deflection efficiency of the kinetic impactor strategy, this paper proposed a new concept called the Assembled Kinetic Impactor (AKI), which is combining the spacecraft with the launch vehicle final stage. By making full use of the mass of the launch vehicle final stage, the mass of the impactor will be increased, which will cause the improvement of the deflection efficiency. According to the technical data of Long March 5 (CZ-5) launch vehicle, the missions of deflecting Bennu are designed to demonstrate the power of the AKI concept. Simulation results show that, compared with the Classic Kinetic Impactor (CKI, performs spacecraft-rocket separation), the addition of the mass of the launch vehicle final stage can increase the deflection distance to more than 3 times, and reduce the launch lead-time by at least 15 years. With the requirement of the same deflection distance, the addition of the mass of the launch vehicle final stage can reduce the number of launches to 1/3 of that of the number of CKI launches. The AKI concept makes it possible to defend Bennu-like large asteroids by a no-nuclear technique within 10-year launch lead-time. At the same time, for a single CZ-5, the deflection distance of a 140 m diameter asteroid within 10-year launch lead-time, can be increased from less than 1 Earth radii to more than 1 Earth radii.

In the rapid cycling synchrotron of the China Spallation Neutron Source, the anti-correlated painting was adopted for the design scheme of the injection system. In the beam commissioning, with the optimization of the anti-correlated painting,the injection beam loss has been well controlled and the injection efficiency has exceeded 99%. Combined with other aspects of adjustments, the beam power on the target has reached 50 kW smoothly. In this paper, we have studied the injection optimization in the beam commissioning. Compared to the simulation results of the design scheme, the transverse beam distribution, transverse coupling effect and beam loss of the anti-correlated painting in the beam commissioning are somewhat different. Data-driven methods have made great progress in fault diagnosis, especially deep learning method. Deep learning is suitable for processing big data, and has a strong feature extraction ability to realize end-to-end fault diagnosis systems. However, designing neural network architecture requires rich professional knowledge and debugging experience, and a lot of experiments are needed to screen models and hyperparameters, increasing the difficulty of developing deep learning models. Frortunately, neural architecture search (NAS) is developing rapidly, and is becoming one of the next directions for deep learning. In this paper, we proposed a NAS method for fault diagnosis using reinforcement learning. A recurrent neural network is used as an agent to generate network architecture. The accuracy of the generated network on the validation dataset is fed back to the agent as a reward, and the parameters of the agent are updated through the strategy gradient algorithm. We use PHM 2009 Data Challenge gearbox dataset to prove the effectiveness of proposed method, and obtain state-of-the-art results compared with other artificial designed network structures. To author's best knowledge, it's the first time that NAS has been applied in fault diagnosis.
