In this paper, Au nanoparticles/reduced graphene oxide (AuNPs/rGO) nanocomposites were prepared through a one-pot strategy, carried out by heating the mixture of HAu[Cl.sub.4] and graphene oxide solution at 90°C under alkaline condition. The resultant AuNPs/rGO nanocomposites were found to exhibit good catalytic performance toward [H.sub.2][O.sub.2] reduction and oxidation as well as hydrazine oxidation. Abstract: In this paper, we report on one-pot synthesis of Ag nanoparticles/reduced graphene oxide (AgNPs/rGO) nanocomposites by heating mixed solution of graphene oxide (GO) and AgNO3 with the use of diethylenetriamine as a reducing agent at 80°C for 30min. Several analytical techniques including UV–vis spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) have been employed to characterize the resulting nanocomposites. It was found that such nanocomposites exhibit good catalytic activity toward the reduction of H2O2. This nonenzymatic H2O2 sensor shows a fast amperometric response time of less than 2s. The linear detection range is estimated to be from 0.1 to 100mM (r =0.999), and the detection limit is estimated to be 3.6μM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Objective: This study aimed to determine the effects of compatibility of Clostridium butyricum and Bacillus subtilis on growth performance, lipid metabolism, antioxidant status and cecal microflora of broilers during the starter phase., Methods: A total of 600 1-day-old Ross 308 broilers were randomly divided into two groups with six replicates in each group. Chickens in the control group were fed a basal diet, while chickens in the experimental group were fed a diet supplemented with 2 × 108 CFU/kg of C. butyricum and 1 × 109 CFU/kg of B. subtilis. The experimental period was 21 days., Results: Addition of C. butyricum and B. subtilis significantly increased (p<0.05) the body weight and liver NADP-malic enzyme (NADP-ME) activity of broilers, enhanced (p<0.05) the average daily gain and average daily feed intake of broilers. However, the addition of C. butyricum and B. subtilis did not significantly affect the concentrations of triglyceride and total cholesterol in the serum, the activities of fatty acid synthase and acetyl-CoA carboxylase in the liver, the total antioxidant capacity, glutathione peroxidase activity and malondialdehyde content in the serum and liver. Besides, microbial analysis revealed that supplementation of C. butyricum and B. subtilis increased (p<0.05) the abundance of Firmicutes such as CHKCI001 and Faecalibacterium, decreased (p<0.05) the abundance of Bacteroidota such as Bacteroides and Alistipes. Spearman correlation analysis confirmed that the above cecal microbiota were closely related to the growth performance of broilers (p<0.05). In addition, simultaneous supplementation of C. butyricum and B. subtilis significant affected (p<0.05) 33 different functional pathways such as lipid metabolism and carbohydrate metabolism. This explains the phenomenon of increased growth performance and liver NADP-ME activity in the probiotics group., Conclusion: The compatibility of C. butyricum and B. subtilis could improve the growth of broilers during the starter phase by changing the cecal microflora.

Objective: Investigate the effect of Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside tablets on serum inflammatory factors and T cells in patients with chronic nephritis., Methods: A total of 89 patients with chronic nephritis were randomly divided into a control group (44 cases, treated with irbesartan hydrochlorothiazide combined with dipyridamole) and an observation group (45 cases, treated with Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside tablets based on irbesartan hydrochlorothiazide and dipyridamole like the control group). Patients in both groups were treated for two months. The renal function, inflammatory factors, the proportion of T lymphocyte subsets, and 24 h urinary protein quantification (24 h Upro) of patients with hemodialysis were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. The occurrence of adverse reactions was recorded., Results: SCR, BUN levels, 24 h Upro, serum hs-CRP, TNF-α, and IL-8 levels in the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (all P<0.05). After treatment, the CD4+ ratio and CD4+/CD8+ ratio of the two groups of patients increased, while the CD8+ ratio decreased. The changes in the observation group were greater than those in the control group (all P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of total adverse reactions between the two groups during treatment (P>0.05)., Conclusion: Treatment combined with Tripterygium wilfordii polyglycosides can significantly alleviate the inflammatory state of patients with chronic glomerulonephritis, reduce the level of proteinuria, and improve renal function.
