For the problem of inhomogeneity of the output optical power of multiple output ports, the paper designs a 1×4 Multimode Interference (MMI) coupler based on Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) and proposes a new method to optimize its homogeneity. A tapered waveguide is used at the input/output of the coupler. To improve the uniformity of the MMI coupler, an unequal-width design is used for the tapered waveguide at the output. After optimization, the uniformity of the four output ports is as high as 0.007 4 dB, while the total insertion loss is only 0.058 dB. According to this method, the transmission constant of the output, avoid crosstalk between waveguides, and achieve an improvement in the uniformity of the output port of the MMI coupler.

Six species in two genera of the family Cheiracanthiidae Wagner, 1887 are studied from Hainan Island, China, including two new species: Cheiracanthium bawanglingense sp. n. (♀♂) and Eutittha hainanensis sp. n. (♀). Cheiracanthium ningmingense Zhang and Yin, 1999 syn. n. is synonymised with C. exquestitum Zhang and Zhu, 1993, and C. adjacensoides Song, Chen and Hou, 1990 stat. resurr. (♀♂) is removed from synonymy with C. approximatum O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1885. Cheiracanthium insigne O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1874 (♀♂) and C. taegense Paik, 1990 (♀♂) are reported from Hainan Province, China, for the first time. Summary: The thermal effect that leads to spurious image drift is one major concern in the videogrammetric measurement. On the ground that the image drift originates from the thermal‐induced displacement of the image sensor board, this study proposes to establish the thermal‐induced displacement function of the image plane for the prediction of image drift and the elimination thereof. The displacement function of the image plane is calibrated with stationary targets easily available in laboratory. In measurements other than the thermal effect calibration, the thermal‐induced displacement of the image plane is predicted from the precalibrated displacement function. It is then subtracted from the measured pixel coordinates of measurand, resulting in normalized pixel coordinates in which the thermal‐induced image drift has been removed. To exemplify this approach, two thermal effect calibration tests with different camera orientations are fulfilled. The displacement function of the image plane is simulated with a first‐order polynomial model. Verification tests are performed in both temperature‐controlled and outdoor environments. The disturbance in the adaptive optical system includes not only the low-frequency broadband disturbance but also the high-frequency narrow-band disturbance caused by the vibration of system components and atmospheric turbulence. A nonlinear active disturbance rejection control (NLADRC) method is proposed to solve the control problem of a deformable mirror under high-frequency narrow-band disturbance. This method does not completely depend on the mathematical model, and the algorithm structure is simple. The differential tracker flattens the abrupt part of the signal, and the extended state observer is used to estimate the disturbance in real time. Finally, the nonlinear control rate is used to compensate the disturbance. The simulation results show that compared with the classical PID control and the classical linear active disturbance rejection control, the NLADRC method can effectively improve the bandwidth of the control system and show good suppression performance against high-frequency narrow-band disturbance, and the system is more robust. Both in time domain and frequency domain, it can accurately track the system state, reduce the system delay and system error, and has better dynamic performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To observe the effect of Compound Zhajin Granule (CZG) on Toll-like re-ceptor 4 (TLR4) signaling pathway in high-fructose corn syrup induced NASH mice., Methods: Thirty 6-week-old male C3H mice were divided into the high fat and high fructose (HFHFr) group (n = 20) and the control group (n = 10) according to body weight. Mice in the HFHFr group ate high fat diet and drank 20% fructose water, while those in the control group ate common diet and drank common water. After 8 weeks mice in the HFHFr group were divided into two group according to body weight, the HFHFr group and the CZG group, 10 in each group. Mice in the CZG group were fed with high fat forage and 20% fructose water, and administered with 50 mL/kg 12. 8% CZG (prepared by hawthorn, Radix Curcumae, Alisma Orientale, Fritillaria Thunbergii, Silybum Marianum, peach seed in the ratio of 3:1.5:1.5:2:1.5:2:1) by gastrogavage. Mice in the HFHFr group were fed in the same way and daily administered with equal volume of distilled water by gastrogavage. Sixteen weeks later all mice were sacrificed. Body weight, liver wet weight, liver function, and lipid metabolism were detected. Pathological changes of liver tissues were assessed by HE staining, oil red O staining, and Masson staining. Expressions of TLR4, myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) were detected using immunohistochemical staining and real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR., Results: Body weight, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) were obviously lower in the CZG group than in the HFHFr group (P < 0.05); oil red O stained area and density were decreased more in the CZG group than in the control group. HE staining showed ballooning inflammation was reduced more in the CZG group than in the HFHFr group. Masson staining was negative. Positive rates of TLR4 and MyD88 and mRNA expressions were significantly lower in the CZG group than in the HFHFr group (all P < 0.05)., Conclusion: CZG could significantly inhibit TLR4 signaling pathway of liver in NASH mice.
