The presence of bacteria and viruses in water has caused many large-scale water disease outbreaks. Cold atmospheric plasma has received much attention as an emerging non-thermal purification technology capable of eliminating micro-organisms, non-ferrous fuels, and heavy metals from water. In this study, a novel gas–liquid diaphragm discharge device that generates air plasma driven by a sinusoidal AC power supply was designed, and its sterilizing effect was investigated. First, the concentrations of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species in the diaphragm discharge were characterized, and the physicochemical properties of activated water were explored. Next, experiments on the inactivation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were carried out using the device. Finally, pond sewage was treated with the device, and the diversity of micro-organisms in the water was analyzed using 16S rRNA assays to further investigate its applicability. The results showed that the species and quantities of micro-organisms in the water significantly reduced after discharge treatment, with the most significant changes occurring in the Bacillus and Firmicutes species. For a k $k$‐tree T $T$, a generalization of a tree, the local mean order of sub‐k $k$‐trees of T $T$ is the average order of sub‐k $k$‐trees of T $T$ containing a given k $k$‐clique. The problem whether the maximum local mean order of a tree (i.e., a 1‐tree) at a vertex is always taken on at a leaf was asked by Jamison in 1984 and was answered by Wagner and Wang in 2016. Actually, they proved that the maximum local mean order of a tree at a vertex occurs either at a leaf or at a vertex of degree 2. In 2018, Stephens and Oellermann asked a similar problem: for any k $k$‐tree T $T$, does the maximum local mean order of sub‐k $k$‐trees containing a given k $k$‐clique occur at a k $k$‐clique that is not a major k $k$‐clique of T $T$? Pseudoginsenoside DQ (PDQ), an ocotillol-type ginsenoside, is synthesized with protopanaxadiol through oxidative cyclization. PDQ exhibits good anti-arrhythmia activity. However, the inhibitory effect of PDQ on the cytochrome 450 (CYP450) enzymes and major drug transporters is still unclear. Inhibition of CYP450 and drug transporters may affect the efficacy of the drugs being used together with PDQ. These potential drug–drug interactions (DDIs) are essential for the clinical usage of drugs. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of PDQ on seven CYP450 enzymes and seven drug transporters with in vitro models. PDQ has a significant inhibitory effect on CYP2C19 and P-glycoprotein (P-gp) with a half-inhibitory concentration (IC50) of 0.698 and 0.41 μM, respectively. The inhibition of CYP3A4 and breast cancer-resistant protein (BCRP) is less potent, with IC50 equal to 2.02–6.79 and 1.08 μM, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: This study aimed to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) toward cardiovascular complications among end-stage renal disease patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods: This web-based cross-sectional study was conducted at Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital between December 2022, and May 2023. Results: A total of 545 valid questionnaires were collected, with an average age of 57.72 ± 13.47 years. The mean knowledge, attitudes and practices scores were 8.17 ± 2.9 (possible range: 0–24), 37.63 ± 3.80 (possible range: 10–50), 33.07 ± 6.10 (possible range: 10–50) respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that patients from non-urban area had lower knowledge compared to those from urban area (odds ratio (OR) = 0.411, 95% CI: 0.262–0.644, P < 0.001). Furthermore, higher levels of education were associated with better knowledge, as indicated by OR for college and above (OR = 4.858, 95% CI: 2.483–9.504), high school/vocational school (OR = 3.457, 95% CI: 1.930–6.192), junior high school (OR = 3.300, 95% CI: 1.945–5.598), with primary school and below as reference group (all P < 0.001). Besides, better knowledge (OR = 1.220, 95% CI: 1.132–1.316, P < 0.001) and higher educational levels were independently associated with positive attitudes. Specifically, individuals with a college degree and above (OR = 2.986, 95% CI: 1.411–6.321, P = 0.004) and those with high school/vocational school education (OR = 2.418, 95% CI: 1.314–4.451, P = 0.005) have more positive attitude, with primary school and below as reference group. Next, better attitude (OR = 1.174, 95% CI: 1.107–1.246, P < 0.001) and higher education were independently associated with proactive practices. Those with college and above (OR = 2.870, 95% CI: 1.359–6.059, P = 0.006), and those with high school/vocational school education (OR = 1.886, 95% CI: 1.032–3.447, P = 0.039) had more proactive practices, with primary school and below as reference group. Conclusions: End-stage renal disease patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis demonstrated insufficient knowledge, positive attitudes, and moderate practices regarding cardiovascular complications. Targeted interventions should prioritize improving knowledge and attitudes, particularly among patients with lower educational levels and income, to enhance the management of cardiovascular complications in end-stage renal disease. As one of the most attractive lead-free piezoelectric ceramics, K 0.5 Na 0.5 NbO 3 (KNN) has received widespread attention and by elemental doping or forming solid solution with other components, the electrical properties can be improved dramatically. Among which, BaZrO 3 (BZ) as a most promising solid solution for modification has been introduced in KNN to induce a phase transition and thus promote the electrical performance to further meet practical applications. However, the relationship between microscopic structural characteristics and macroscopic performance is still relatively vague and need to be clarified. Hence, in this work, the structural, elastic, and electronic properties of BZ-modified KNN were investigated using the first-principle calculations. The calculated results demonstrated that BZ entered the lattice of KNN spontaneously, strengthened the Nb–O octahedron distortion and optimized the elastic properties, which are all beneficial to improving the structural asymmetry and piezoelectric response. In addition, doping Ba resulted in the shift of Fermi surface toward the conduction band and thus decreased the band gap, while doping individual Zr increased the band gap. Under the coupling action of these two atoms, KNN-BZ illustrated more denser band structure and more wider band gap, which facilitated the promotion of electrical breakdown resistance and electric polarization of KNN. Aim Methods Results Conclusion Many countries have detailed recommendations for haemophilia patients to reduce the risk of vaccination‐related bleeding. However, data from developing countries are lacking. We investigated scheduled vaccinations and vaccination‐related bleeding complications in Chinese children with haemophilia and analysed issues related to vaccinations.Children with haemophilia in the PUMCH Haemophilia Treatment Centre were contacted via telephone. We distributed a vaccination questionnaire to their parents. The severity of haemophilia, coagulation factor infusions before vaccination, injection mode, and vaccination‐related complications were analysed.A total of 440 valid questionnaires were received from 27 of 34 provinces in China. 31.3% (138/440) of the children with haemophilia did not receive all of their vaccinations. Among the children who received vaccinations, 48.1% (197/409) experienced bleeding complications. In patients with severe haemophilia, those on regular prophylaxis had a lower incidence of local hematoma compared to those on intermittent or no prophylaxis (14.3% vs. 26.5% vs. 39.7%, P < 0.05). The incidence of local hematomas was lower by subcutaneous (SQ) injections than by intramuscular injections (24.6% vs. 35.3%, P < 0.05).The vaccination rate is quite insufficient in Chinese children with haemophilia. In this work, a highly efficient photosensitive quantum dot (QD) system was designed. The optimized photosensitive QD system had high photoluminescence quantum yield and colloidal stability. By direct photolithography, RGB pixel arrays with a single sub‐pixel size of 39 μm × 5 μm were successfully prepared. Further, the full‐color QLED device was realized. There were no residual QD emission peaks from neighboring sub‐pixels observed in the electroluminescence spectra. Experience on the full‐color QLED device guided the successful preparation of a 4.7‐inch 650 PPI active matrix QLED prototype. The active matrix QLED prototype could display clear and complete pictures. The color gamut reached 85% of the BT2020 standard. Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) ranks as the third most common cause of cancer related death globally, representing a substantial challenge to global healthcare systems. In China, the primary risk factor for HCC is the hepatitis B virus (HBV). Aberrant serum glycoconjugate levels have long been linked to the progression of HBV-associated HCC (HBV-HCC). Nevertheless, few study systematically explored the dysregulation of glycoconjugates in the progression of HBV-associated HCC and their potency as the diagnostic and prognostic biomarker. Methods: An integrated strategy that combined transcriptomics, glycomics, and glycoproteomics was employed to comprehensively investigate the dynamic alterations in glyco-genes, N-glycans, and glycoproteins in the progression of HBV- HCC. Results: Bioinformatic analysis of Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) datasets uncovered dysregulation of fucosyltransferases (FUTs) in liver tissues from HCC patients compared to adjacent tissues. Glycomic analysis indicated an elevated level of fucosylated N-glycans, especially a progressive increase in fucosylation levels on IgA1 and IgG2 determined by glycoproteomic analysis. Conclusions: The findings indicate that the abnormal fucosylation plays a pivotal role in the progression of HBV-HCC. The therapeutic potential of stem cells‐derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) has shown a great progress in the regenerative medicine. EVs are rich in a variety of bioactive substances, which are important carriers of signal transmission and interactions between cells, and they play an important role in the processes of tissue repair and regeneration. Several studies have shown that stem cells‐derived EVs regulate immunity, promote cell proliferation and differentiation, enhance bone and vascular regeneration, and play an increasingly important role in musculoskeletal system. BACKGROUND: Studies have shown that core muscle training can accelerate the recovery of motor function in stroke patients. However, there are no relevant reports to show the effect of core muscle training combined with functional electrical stimulation (FES) on the rehabilitation of stroke patients. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to observe the efficacy of core muscle training combined with FES on motor and balance functions of lower limbs in stroke patients. METHODS: This study selected and divided 120 stroke patients with hemiplegia admitted to our hospital into the control and observation groups. Patients in the control group just received core muscle training; while patients in the observation group were treated by core muscle training combined with FES. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. Subsequently, the clinical data and information of all patients were collected and counted. Muscle strength changes were observed by detecting paralytic dorsiflexor (pDF), plantar flexor (pPF), knee extensor (pKE), and knee flexor (pKF) before and after treatment. Motor and balance abilities of both groups were scored through the 10-meter walking test (10 MWT), Berg balance scale (BBS), functional ambulation category (FAC) scale, timed up and go (TUG) test, and lower extremity motricity index (MI-Lower). RESULTS: No significant difference was found in clinical data between the two groups. The intensity of pDF, pPF, pKE, and pKF significantly increased in both groups after treatment, and the intensity of these parameters was higher in the observation group relative to the control group. Additionally, 10 MWT and TUG test scores of patients in the observation group were notably decreased while the BBS and MI-Lower scores were significantly increased after treatment compared with those in the control group. Background Methods Results Conclusions Acute urticaria is a prevalent inflammatory dermatosis characterized by fulminant wheals, often accompanied by severe pruritis. It may also cause nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Numerous studies have substantiated the pivotal involvement of double‐stranded DNA (dsDNA) in autoimmunity. However, the role of dsDNA in the pathogenesis of acute urticaria is unclear.We measured serum dsDNA levels in patients and controls. The relationship between dsDNA levels and environmental exposures (temperature, ultraviolet [UV] index, and season) was investigated by correlating disease onset dates with archived meteorological data. Finally, we used quantitative PCR to determine the expressions of genes encoding dsDNA receptors, single‐stranded RNA (ssRNA) receptors, exosome formation, and type I interferon in the peripheral blood of patients and controls.Serum dsDNA levels were significantly higher in patients with acute urticaria compared with controls (mean values 1.38 and 0.94 ng/ml, respectively, P < 0.001). dsDNA levels were higher in patients exposed to higher environmental temperatures and UV indices and were higher during the summer months. We also found that the expressions of genes encoding dsDNA receptors, ssRNA receptors, absent in melanoma factor 2 (AIM2)‐related inflammatory factors, and interferon alpha were up‐regulated in patients.We demonstrated that serum dsDNA levels are elevated in acute urticaria and are influenced by climatic factors such as temperature, ultraviolet index, and season. We also found that elevated dsDNA promotes the expression of AIM2‐related factors and type I interferons. Recently, more and more attention has been concentrated on luminescence materials activated with rare-earth ions for white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) or optical thermometers. However, due to their opposite requirements for thermal response, it is hard to realize the above dual applications in the same material. Herein, a red-emitting tantalate phosphor, Gd 3 TaO 7 :Eu3+, was designed and prepared to solve the problem. The emission of Eu3+ in the phosphor was surprisingly observed to be different from that in most of the reported red phosphors activated with Eu3+, that is, the emissions coming from the f - f transitions of Eu3+ exhibit severe splitting, and the intensities of several strong transitions are not very different. According to the structural and spectral analyses, the reasons may be the highly covalent and polarized lattice environments of Eu3+ in this material. When excited with 393 nm, the temperature-dependent photoluminescence (TDPL) of Gd 3 TaO 7 :Eu3+ presents a normal thermal quenching and the integrated intensity at 500 K keeps 90.8 % compared to that at 300 K. Whereas the TDPL presents an edge abnormal thermal quenching phenomenon upon the excitation of 330 nm. Taking advantage of the special TDPL characteristics, a WLED device and a multiple-mode optical thermometer are successfully realized in this material. The former has excellent performances with high Ra of 88.8 and low CCT of 3882 K, and the latter includes one type of excitation intensity ratio and two types of fluorescence intensity ratio with the maximal relative temperature sensitivities of 0.92 % K−1, 0.97 % K−1 and 0.92 % K−1, respectively. The results reveal that Gd 3 TaO 7 :Eu3+ phosphor has a great prospect in WLED and multiple-mode optical temperature sensor dual-applications, and this work may provide a new and effective strategy for developing multifunctional optical materials. Highly sensitive electronic skin (e‐skin) sensors with considerable operating range offer great possibilities for health care, human–‐machine interfaces, and intelligent robotics. Although subtle microstructures have been used in recent years to improve the sensitivity and sensing range of e‐skin sensors, the trade‐off between these features remains a big challenge to overcome. Here, an asymmetric interlocked gradient elastic modulus (AIGM) structure is designed for the first time to provide sufficient deformation space to the traditional interlocked structure while ensuring high sensitivity, and the gradient elastic modulus further extends the sensing range of the AIGM structure‐based sensors, which exhibit a maximum sensitivity of as high as 9.89 kPa−1 with an ultrawide working range that extends to above 530 kPa at the same time. As a demo, this sensor is integrated into an intelligent adjustable mouse platform for physiological signal monitoring, pressure feedback, and modulus adjustment, providing a viable alternative for hand disease prevention. Preparation of the high value-added chemical 2,5-dimethylfuran (2,5-DMF) from the biomass-derived platform molecule 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) is of great significance in the preparation of biofuels. Here, a bottom-up strategy was used to prepare a metal–organic framework (MOF) material with a two-dimensional nanosheet morphology, named CPM, in which an additive 2-methylimidazole was introduced into the hydrothermal process of Cu2+ ions and terephthalic acid. Subsequently, CPM-700 prepared by heat treatment under an inert atmosphere showed excellent catalytic performance in the reaction of HMF hydrodeoxygenation to 2,5-DMF. The materials before and after pyrogenation were characterized by PXRD, XPS, TEM, N2 adsorption and desorption and so on. It was confirmed that compared with the catalyst derived from the cubic MOF material self-assembled by Cu2+ and terephthalic acid, the morphology of 2D nanosheets was beneficial for the reaction of HMF to 2,5-DMF. Combined with the experimental data, the possible reaction path of 2,5-DMF preparation from HMF is that 2,5-dihydroxymethylfuran was formed by hydrogenation of the aldehyde group on the furan ring, and then 2,5-DMF was obtained by hydrogenolysis. This study aims to enhance the productivity of high-voltage transmission line insulators and their operational safety by investigating their failure mechanisms under ultimate load conditions. Destructive tests were conducted on a specific type of insulator under ultimate load conditions. A high-speed camera was used to document the insulator's failure process and collect strain data from designated points. A simulation model of the insulator was established to predict the effects of ultimate loads. The simulation results identified a maximum first principal stress of 94.549 MPa in the porcelain shell, with stress distribution characteristics resembling a cantilever beam subjected to bending. This implied that the insulator failure occurred when the stress reached the bending strength of the porcelain shell. To validate the simulation's accuracy, bending and tensile strength tests were conducted on the ceramic materials constituting the insulator. The bending strength of the porcelain shell was 100.52 MPa, showing a 5.6% variation from the simulation results, which indicated the reliability of the simulation model. Finally, optimization designs on the design parameters P1 and P2 of the insulator were conducted. The results indicated that setting P1 to 8° and P2 to 90.062 mm decreased the first principal stress of the porcelain shell by 47.6% and Von Mises stress by 31.6% under ultimate load conditions, significantly enhancing the load-bearing capacity. Renal inflammation is a pivotal mechanism underlying the pathophysiology of diabetic nephropathy (DN). The Src homology phosphatase 2 (SHP2) has been demonstrated to be linked to diabetes-induced inflammation, yet its roles and explicit molecular mechanisms in DN remain unexplored. Here, we report that SHP2 activity is upregulated in both DN patients and db/db mice. In addition, pharmacological inhibition of SHP2 with its specific inhibitor PHPS1 alleviates DN in db/db mice and attenuates renal inflammation. In vitro, PHPS1 administration prevents inflammatory responses in HK-2 cells stimulated by high glucose (HG). Mechanistically, PHPS1 represses HG-induced activation of the proinflammatory ERK/NF-κB signaling pathway, and these inhibitory effects are blocked in the presence of an ERK specific inhibitor, hence demonstrating that PHPS1 suppresses ERK/NF-κB pathway-mediated inflammation. Moreover, PHPS1 retards ERK/NF-κB pathway activation in db/db mice, and histologically, SHP2 activity is positively correlated with ERK/NF-κB activation in DN patients. Na 0.5 Bi 0.5 TiO 3 (NBT)-based ceramics are promising lead-free candidates for energy-storage applications owing to their individual crystal structure and phase transition information. However, the high coercive field (E C) and large remnant polarization (P r) are detrimental for practical applications. In this work, the composition-dependent phase structure, micromorphology, dielectric and energy storage properties of (1-x)(0.94Na 0.5 Bi 0.5 TiO 3 -0.06BaTiO 3)-xBi(Mg 2/3 Nb 1/3)O 3 (NBBT-100xBMN, x = 0.18, 0.20, 0.22 and 0.25) ternary ceramics were hereby investigated. The addition of BMN facilitates the phase transformation from rhombohedral (R3c) to tetragonal (P4bm), which is beneficial for the enhancement of relaxation behavior, and meanwhile impels the grain growth. Combined with the influence of grain size on breakdown field strength, an optimal recoverable energy storage density (W rec) of 1.88 J/cm3 with a high energy storage efficiency (η) of 82.15% was achieved in the NBBT-20BMN ceramic composition under the dielectric breakdown strength (DBS) of 150 kV/cm, accompanied by the excellent temperature stability from room temperature to 200 °C. The rising trend in the cultivation of Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) transgenic crops may cause a destabilization of agroecosystems, thus increasing concerns about the sustainability of Bt crops as a valid pest management method. Azotobacter can be used as a biological regulator to increase environmental suitability and improve the soil nitrogen utilization efficiency of crops, especially Bt cotton. A laboratory test investigated effects on the development and food utilization of Helicoverpa armigera fed with different Cry1Ab/Cry1Ac proteins and nitrogen metabolism‐related compounds from cotton (transgenic variety SCRC 37 vs non‐Bt cotton cv. Yu 2067) inoculated with Azospirillum brasilense (Ab) and Azotobacter chroococcum (Ac). The findings indicate that inoculation with Azotobacter significantly decreased the partial development and food utilization indexes (pupal weight; pupation rate; adult longevity; fecundity; relative growth rate, RGR; efficiency of conversion of digested food, ECD; and efficiency of conversion of ingested food, ECI) of H. armigera fed on Bt cotton, but contrasting trends were found among these indexes in H. armigera fed on non‐Bt cotton inoculated with Azotobacter, as a result of differences in Bt toxin production. Overall, the results showed that inoculation with Azotobacter had negative effects on the development and food utilization of H. armigera fed on Bt cotton, leading to enhanced target insect resistance. Presumably, Azotobacter inoculation can be used to stimulate plant soil nitrogen uptake to increase nitrogen metabolism‐related compounds and promote plant growth for Bt and non‐Bt cotton, simultaneously raising Bt protein expression and enhancing resistance efficacy against cotton bollworm in Bt cotton. Its appealing features include inherent atom and step economy together with the potential to generate structurally diverse products. However, control of the stereochemistry of this reaction has proven to be a daunting challenge. Herein, we describe the first example of enantioselective catalytic Biltz synthesis which affords more than 40 thiohydantoins with high stereo‐ and regio‐control, irrespective of the symmetry of thiourea structure. A one pot synthesis of corresponding hydantoins is also documented. Remarkably, experimental studies and DFT calculations establish the reaction pathway and origin of stereoselectivity. Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), is increasing worldwide. Although there is currently no completely curative treatment, helminthic therapy shows certain therapeutic potential for UC. Many studies have found that Trichinella spiralis (T.s) has a protective effect on UC, but the specific mechanism is still unclear. Methods: Balb/c mice drank dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) to induce acute colitis and then were treated with T.s. In vitro experiments, the LPS combination with ATP was used to induce the pyroptosis model, followed by intervention with crude protein from T.s (T.s cp). Additionally, the pyroptosis agonist of NSC or the pyroptosis inhibitor vx-765 was added to intervene to explore the role of pyroptosis in DSS-induced acute colitis. The degree of pyroptosis was evaluated by western blot, qPCR and IHC, etc., in vivo and in vitro. Results: T.s intervention significantly inhibited NLRP3 inflammasome activation and GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis by downregulating the expression of pyroptosis-related signatures in vitro (cellular inflammatory model) and in vivo (DSS-induced UC mice model). Furthermore, blockade of GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis by the caspase-1 inhibitor vx-765 has a similar therapeutic effect on DSS-induced UC mice with T.s intervention, thus indicating that T.s intervention alleviated DSS-induced UC in mice by inhibiting GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis. Conclusion: This study showed that T.s could alleviate the pathological severity UC via GSDMD-mediated pyroptosis, and it provides new insight into the mechanistic study and application of helminths in treating colitis. Hydrogen leakage and explosion accidents have obvious dangers, ambiguity of accident information, and urgency of decision-making time. These characteristics bring challenges to the optimization of emergency alternatives for such accidents. Effective emergency decision making is crucial to mitigating the consequences of accidents and minimizing losses and can provide a vital reference for emergency management in the field of hydrogen energy. An improved VIKOR emergency alternatives optimization method is proposed based on the combination of hesitant triangular fuzzy set (HTFS) and the cumulative prospect theory (CPT), termed the HTFS-CPT-VIKOR method. This method adopts the hesitant triangular fuzzy number to represent the decision information on the alternatives under the influence of multi-attributes, constructs alternatives evaluation indicators, and solves the indicator weights by using the deviation method. Based on CPT, positive and negative ideal points were used as reference points to construct the prospect matrix, which then utilized the VIKOR method to optimize the emergency alternatives for hydrogen leakage and explosion accidents. Taking an accident at a hydrogen refueling station as an example, the effectiveness and rationality of the HTFS-CPT-VIKOR method were verified by comparing with the existing three methods and conducting parameter sensitivity analysis. Research results show that the HTFS-CPT-VIKOR method effectively captures the limited psychological behavior characteristics of decision makers and enhances their ability to identify, filter, and judge ambiguous information, making the decision-making alternatives more in line with the actual environment, which provided strong support for the optimization of emergency alternatives for hydrogen leakage and explosion accidents. Fusarium head blight (FHB) caused by Fusarium species, seriously threatens the safety of wheat (Triticum aestivum) production. Resistant cultivars and fungicides are frequently used to control these FHB pathogens. However, Fusarium species have been adapting the current FHB control approaches in a manner that raises concern for future FHB control strategies, which could lead to a greater risk of FHB outbreaks. In this study, a total of 521 strains of Fusarium were isolated from Sichuan province of China, to investigate the diversity of Fusarium species and the genes associated with their adaptation. Seven species were identified based on molecular markers and morphological analysis. The virulence assays showed that Fusarium asiaticum (Fa) and Fusarium graminearum (Fg) were the two major causal agents of FHB, with high virulence and more frequent isolates. Fungicide resistance analysis showed that four isolates had developed the resistance to carbendazim, and four isolates had developed the resistance to tebuconazole. Of note, two point-mutation variants (F200Y and E198Q) occurred in the β2-tubulin gene, leading to the carbendazim resistance. The landscape of genomic diversity was analyzed through whole-genome sequencing, revealing a total of 182,811 and 430,733 variants (including: single nucleotide polymorphisms, SNP, insertion and deletion, Indel, and structure variation, SV) among the Fa and Fg isolates, respectively. In addition, potential alterations in gene function (15.22%) were predicted among Fg variants. These alterations offer potential helps for the Fusarium species to adapt to various managements of FHB, which may increase risks in developing fungicide-resistant isolates. Objective: To investigate the current status of children's sleep in Beijing and analyze the factors that influence it. Materials and Methods: Using multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling, a total of 11 420 children aged 3 to 14 years in 7 districts of Beijing were included in this study. The Pediatric Sleep Questionnaire (PSQ) was used to investigate and analyze various factors influencing sleep. Results: The mean PSQ score of the children surveyed was 3.60 ± 2.69 points. The proportion of children with a score above 7 was 8.87%. Multi-level model analysis showed that the younger children had higher PSQ scores than older and that the boys had higher PSQ scores than the girls. Conclusions: The sleep quality of children in Beijing is not optimistic. The PSQ score of preschool children is higher than school age children. Objective: To predict the very early recurrence (VER) of patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) based on TLSs and MVI status, and further perform prognosis stratifications. Methods: A total of 160, 51 ICC patients from two institutions between May 2012 and July 2022 were retrospectively included as training, external validation cohort. Clinical, radiological and pathological variables were evaluated and collected. Univariate and multivariate analysis were applied to select the significant factors related to VER of ICC. The factors selected were combined to perform stratification of overall survival (OS) using the Kaplan-Meier method with the log-rank test. Results: Overall, 39 patients (24.4%) had VER, whereas 121 (75.6%) did not (non-VER group). In the training cohort, the median OS was 40.5 months (95% CIs: 33.2–47.7 months). The VER group showed significantly worse OS than the non-VER group (median OS: 14.8, 95% CI:11.6–18.0 months vs. 53.4, 34.3–72.6 months; p<0.001), and it was confirmed in the validation cohort (median OS: 22.1, 95% CI: 8.8–35.4 months vs. 40.1, 21.2–59.0 months; p = 0.003). According to the univariate analysis, four variables were significantly different between the VER group and non-VER group (TLSs status, p = 0.028; differentiation, p = 0.023; MVI status, p = 0.012; diameter, p = 0.028). According to the multivariate analysis, MVI-positive status was independently associated with a higher probability of VER (odds ratio [OR], 2.5; 95% CIs,1.16–5.18; p = 0.018), whereas intra-tumoral TLSs-positive status was associated with lower odds of VER (OR, 0.43; 95% CIs, 0.19–0.97; p = 0.041). Based on the TLSs and MVI status, patients of ICC were categorized into four groups: TLSs-positive and MVI-negative (TP/MN); TLSs-negative and MVI-negative (TN/MN); TLSs-positive and MVI-positive (TP/MP), TLSs-negative and MVI-positive groups (TN/MP). In the training cohort, the four groups could be correlated with OS significantly (p<0.001), and it was confirmed in the validation cohort (p<0.001). Conclusion: Intra-tumoral TLSs and MVI status are independent predictive factors of VER after surgery, based on which immunovascular stratifications are constructed and associated with OS significantly of resectable intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. Purpose: To predict the tertiary lymphoid structures (TLSs) status and recurrence-free survival (RFS) of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) patients using preoperative CT radiomics. Patients and methods: A total of 116 ICC patients were included (training: 86; external validation: 30). The enhanced CT images were performed for the radiomics model. The logistic regression analysis was applied for the clinical model. The combined model was based on the clinical and radiomics models. Results: A total of 107 radiomics features were extracted, and after being eliminated and selected, six features were combined to establish a radiomics model for TLSs prediction. Arterial phase diffuse hyperenhancement and AJCC 8th stage were combined to construct a clinical model. The combined (radiomics nomogram) model outperformed both the independent radiomics model and clinical model in the training cohort (AUC, 0.85 vs. 0.82 and 0.75, respectively) and was validated in the external validation cohort (AUC, 0.88 vs. 0.86 and 0.71, respectively). Patients in the rad-score no less than −0.76 (low-risk) group showed significantly better RFS than those in the less than −0.76 (high-risk) group (p < 0.001, C-index = 0.678). Patients in the nomogram score no less than −1.16 (low-risk) group showed significantly better RFS than those of the less than −1.16 (high-risk) group (p < 0.001, C-index = 0.723). Conclusions: CT radiomics nomogram could serve as a preoperative biomarker of intra-tumoral TLSs status, better than independent radiomics or clinical models; preoperative CT radiomics nomogram achieved accurate stratification for RFS of ICC patients, better than the postoperative pathologic TLSs status. Critical relevance statement: The radiomics nomogram showed better performance in predicting TLSs than independent radiomics or clinical models and better prognosis stratification than postoperative pathologic TLSs status in ICC patients, which may facilitate identifying patients benefiting most from surgery and subsequent immunotherapy. In insects, the ecdysteroid hormone regulates development and reproduction. However, its function in the reproduction process of spider mites is still unclear. In this study, we investigated the effect of the Halloween gene Spook on the oviposition of the reproduction process in a spider mite, Tetranychus urticae. The expression patterns of the ecdysteroid biosynthesis and signaling pathway genes, as analyzed by RT-qPCR, showed that the expression pattern of the Halloween genes was similar to the oviposition pattern of the female mite and the expression patterns of the vitellogenesis-related genes TuVg and TuVgR, suggesting that the Halloween genes are involved in the oviposition of spider mites. To investigate the function of the ecdysteroid hormone on the oviposition of the reproduction process, we carried out an RNAi assay against the Halloween gene Spook by injection in female mites. Effective silencing of TuSpo led to a significant reduction of oviposition. In summary, these results provide an initial study on the effect of Halloween genes on the reproduction in T. urticae and may be a foundation for a new strategy to control spider mites. Rice sheath blight disease (ShB) is a serious threat to rice production, and breeding ShB-resistance varieties is the most effective strategy for ShB control. However, the molecular mechanisms of rice resistance to ShB are largely unknown. In this study, the NAC transcription factor NAC028 was shown to be sensitive to ShB infection. ShB inoculation assays revealed that NAC028 is a positive regulator of ShB resistance. To elucidate the molecular basis of NAC028 -mediated ShB resistance, another transcription factor (bZIP23) was identified as a NAC028-interacting protein. Results of the transcriptome and qRT-PCR analyses demonstrated that CAD8B , a key enzyme for lignin biosynthesis and ShB resistance, is regulated by both bZIP23 and NAC028. The combination of the yeast-one hybrid, ChIP-qPCR, and transactivation assays illustrated that both bZIP23 and NAC028 directly bind the CAD8B promoter and activate its expression. The transcriptional connection between bZIP23 and NAC028 was also investigated and the results of in vitro and in vivo assays demonstrated that NAC028 was one of the target genes of bZIP23, but not vice versa. Individuals with the prestigious leadership profile were more likely to emerge as leaders, compared to those with a weak social power motive profile. People with an ultra‐dominance profile scored higher on narcissism and tended to perceive themselves as leaders, despite not being deemed more leader‐like by teammates.Using a person‐centered approach allowed us to identify three power motive profiles across independent samples and generate insights into how these profiles manifest different social behaviors and outcomes. The Japanese Orthopaedic Association Back Pain Evaluation Questionnaire (JOABPEQ) is a reliable and sensitive measure of disability to determine functional status and evaluate curative effects in low back pain, it has now been cross-cultural translated into many other languages and adapted for use in different countries. We aim to evaluate the translation procedures and measurement properties of cross-cultural adaptations of the JOABPEQ. Studies related to cross-cultural adaptation of the JOABPEQ in a specific language/culture were searched in PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, SciELO, PsycINFO, SinoMed, and Web of Science from their inception to March 2022. The Guidelines for the Process of Cross-Cultural Adaptation of Self-Report Measures and the Consensus-based Standards for the Selection of Health Status Measurement Instruments guideline were used for evaluation. Nine different versions of cross-cultural JOABPEQ adaptations in 8 different languages/cultures were included. The adaptation process was not strictly performed, such as standard forward translation and expert committee review were rarely reported. Content validity (8/9), floor and ceiling effects (3/9), reliability (4/9), and interpretability (6/9) were assessed in most of the adaptations, while agreement (2/9), responsiveness (2/9), and the internal consistency (2/9) were not. JOABPEQ can replace functional and quality of life score to reduce the burden of scientific research. We recommend Persian-Iranian, simplified Chinese–Chinese Mandarin, Thai and Gunaydin G's Turkish adaptations for application. The numerical pain rating scale/visual analogue scale in low back pain and lower extremities, as well as numbness in lower extremities could not be neglected in JOABPEQ adaptations. Background: Tumor budding (TB) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) are significant predictive indicators of lymph node metastasis (LNM) and unfavorable prognosis in various tumors. Currently, there is no gold standard for TB and TIL evaluation in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). This study aimed to identify the standard of TB and TIL evaluations and build a predictive model for prognosis among patients with pT1b ESCC. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the prognostic values of TB and TIL in 150 pT1b ESCC cases. Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) of anti‐pan cytokeratin (AE1/AE3) were used to analyze the threshold of TB, and intratumoral TIL and peritumoral TIL (pTIL) were evaluated using the receiver operating characteristic curves (ROC). Results: We found that TB in a three‐tiered grading system (low‐TB: 0‐4; middle‐TB: 5–15; high‐TB: ≥16) displayed an excellent prognosis prediction for LNM and survival based on IHC staining using a 20× objective lens. Low pTIL level (≤20%) was a significant indicator of LNM and unfavorable prognosis (p < 0.05). Moreover, lower tumor location and lymphovascular invasion (LVI) were correlated with an unfavorable prognosis (p < 0.05). A nomogram developed based on TB, pTIL, LVI, and tumor location showed good discrimination, as shown by the area under the ROC and calibration curves. Conclusion: We therefore recommend identifying TB using a 20× objective lens under IHC staining and TIL adjacent to the tumor. Excessive N critically depresses soil properties. Biochar has the potential to enhance soil health. A two-year field experiment was conducted to analyze the effects of biochar (0, 10, 20 and 40 t ha−1, namely, B0, B10, B20 and B40) combined with N (180, 144 and 108 kg ha−1, namely, N100, N80 and N60) on soil microorganisms. Results showed that B10 significantly promoted soil microbial biomass and had a strong correlation with most microbial groups, mainly reflected in a15:00, 10Me17:0, i18:0, i19:0, i16:0, 16:1w5c, 10Me18:0, 18:0 2OH and 18:00, while N60 decreased fungi and actinomycete content. Soil microbial functional activity was also significantly increased under B10 and B20 treatments and decreased under N80 and N60 treatments, compared to B0 treatment and N100 treatment, respectively. Microbial functional composition was also changed greatly by biochar, and B10 and B20 were closely related to most carbon sources. The combination of B10 and N80 significantly increased soil microbial biomass (total PLFA by 1.4 nM kg−1) and functional activity (Shannon index and Evenness index by 0.8%) compared with conventional N management (N100B0). The dynamic characteristics of the filling body are the key parameters for designing the filling ratio and evaluating the stability of an underground stope. The different environment (water-bearing state) of the filling body in the underground stope exerts a complex impact on the mechanical behavior of the filling body. Therefore, six groups of cemented filling body specimens with different states were formed and subjected to dynamic uniaxial impact tests. The effects of water content on the mechanical properties, fractal dimension, and deformation damage characteristics of the cemented backfill under dynamic load were analyzed in depth, and a dynamic damage constitutive model that considers water damage and the compaction stage was established. The results indicate the following: (1) Due to the change of the specimen from the dry state to the water saturation state, the dynamic compressive strength of the cemented filling body decreases from 5.03 Mpa to 1.79 Mpa; however, the ductility of the specimen generally increases, and the filling body specimens with different water contents mainly exhibit tensile failure. (2) There is a significant nonlinear relationship between the water content and the fractal dimension Db of the cemented backfill specimen, and the growth rate of the fractal dimension Db tends to slow down with the increase in the water content. (3) From the energy evolution perspective, the water content of the specimen exerts a significant effect on the elastic deformation and failure stage of the stress–strain curve, and the slope of the dissipated energy-strain curve decreases with the increase in water content. (4) Based on the Weibull distribution and damage theory, a statistical damage constitutive model of cemented backfill was established, and it was compared with the experimental curve to verify the rationality of the model. Therefore, the relationship between stress and damage and the strain curves is discussed, and it is inferred that the damage evolution curve of cemented backfill is a typical S-shaped curve that exhibits a stable development-rapid increase-tending to be gentle. Background: Primary pulmonary hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma (HCCC) is a low-grade salivary gland-type carcinoma. Until now, 23 cases of pulmonary HCCC have been reported. Case presentation: Here, we present a patient with primary pulmonary HCCC along with vocal-cord squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) revealed by biopsy examination. The patient underwent radiotherapy for vocal-cord SCC, followed by right upper lobectomy and lymph node dissection 10 months later. Histology revealed polygonal cells with eosinophilic or clear cytoplasm in the myxoid matrix together with hyaline degeneration. The tumor involved the whole layer of the segmental bronchus and regionally involved the alveolar tissue along with one intrapulmonary lymph node. Targeted RNA sequencing revealed Ewing Sarcoma Breakpoint Region 1 (EWSR1)- activating transcription factor 1 (ATF1) fusion. We analyzed the data on pulmonary malignant tumors between 2000 and 2019 in the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database and reviewed all cases of pulmonary HCCC with EWSR1 fusion by searching PubMed. The results showed that head and neck (HN) adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC) (47.89%) and HNSCC (22.54%) were the most common carcinomas occurring with pulmonary salivary gland-type malignant tumors. Screening of 24 cases of pulmonary HCCC with EWSR1 fusion revealed that five cases demonstrated lymph node metastases and only two had documented tumor recurrences. HCCC is rare and easily misdiagnosed as SCC, but the treatment regimen differs between pulmonary HCCC and SCC. Conclusions: Hence, pulmonary tumors with clear cells must be diagnosed with caution. Enterovirus G (EV-G) is prevalent in pig populations worldwide, and a total of 20 genotypes (G1 to G20) have been confirmed. Recently, recombinant EV-Gs carrying the papain-like cysteine protease (PLCP) gene of porcine torovirus have been isolated or detected, while their pathogenicity is poorly understood. In this study, an EV-G17-PLCP strain, 'EV-G/YN23/2022', was isolated from the feces of pigs with diarrhea, and the virus replicated robustly in numerous cell lines. The isolate showed the highest complete genome nucleotide (87.5%) and polyprotein amino acid (96.6%) identity in relation to the G17 strain 'IShi-Ya4' (LC549655), and a possible recombination event was detected at the 708 and 3383 positions in the EV-G/YN23/2022 genome. EV-G/YN23/2022 was nonlethal to piglets, but mild diarrhea, transient fever, typical skin lesions, and weight gain deceleration were observed. The virus replicated efficiently in multiple organs, and the pathological lesions were mainly located in the small intestine. All the challenged piglets showed seroconversion for EV-G/YN23/2022 at 6 to 9 days post-inoculation (dpi), and the neutralization antibody peaked at 15 dpi. The mRNA expression levels of IL-6, IL-18, IFN-α, IFN-β, and ISG-15 in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were significantly up-regulated during viral infection. This is the first documentation of the isolation and pathogenicity evaluation of the EV-G17-PLCP strain in China. Background: A one-off sensory wellbeing workshop has been developed to help patients with eating disorders (ED) manage sensory sensitivities. The aim of this study was to evaluate and compare the outcomes of the workshop in online versus face-to-face (F2F) formats among a sample of patients with ED. Methods: Cumulative link models were applied to the outcome measures (awareness of sensory wellbeing, awareness of strategies to enhance sensory wellbeing, and confidence in managing sensory wellbeing) to test the differences between online and F2F workshops. Participants' ratings of usefulness of the workshop were also compared between online and F2F workshops. Results: A total of 14 workshops (4 online and 10 F2F) were run from 2020 to 2023. All participants reported significant and substantial improvements in all outcome measures. There was no significant difference in outcomes between online and F2F workshops. The majority of patients rated the workshops as useful. Conclusions: Both online and face-to-face formats of the sensory workshop led to improvement in sensory wellbeing management for patients with ED. Future studies are warranted to test the impact of the workshop on ED treatment outcomes. Plain English summary: People with eating disorders often have sensory issues, which can include being too sensitive to some senses (hearing, smell or taste, for example) or not sensitive enough. Explaining how the sensory system works and developing helpful strategies to manage sensory difficulties could be beneficial in the process of therapy. To try and support this, clinicians and researchers designed a sensory wellbeing workshop to help people become more aware of their sensory wellbeing and teach them strategies to manage their sensory wellbeing. The workshop can be delivered online or face-to-face. This study examined the feedback for online and face-to-face workshops. We found that both formats were helpful for people with eating disorders. Background: Although ceramic-on-ceramic (CoC) bearings result in the lowest wear rate of any bearing combination, postoperative squeaking remains worrisome. However, data concerning squeaking in long-term follow-up studies are still lacking, especially for fourth-generation CoC THA. Questions/purposes: (1) After keeping the prosthesis in place for 10 years, what percentage of patients treated with fourth-generation CoC THA implants report squeaking, and are there points in time when squeaking occurs more frequently? (2) What are the characteristics, association with hip function, and factors associated with squeaking? (3) Can we create a nomogram that characterizes a patient's odds of experiencing squeaking based on the factors associated with it? Methods: Between January 2009 and December 2011, 1050 patients received primary THAs at our institution, 97% (1017) of whom received fourth-generation CoC THAs because this was the preferred bearing during this period. Of the 1017 eligible patients, 5% (54) underwent THAs performed by low-volume surgeons, 3% (30) were implanted with cemented prostheses, 2% (22) died, 1% (10) were immobile, 1% (six) underwent revision surgery, and 17% (169) were lost to follow-up before 10 years, leaving 726 patients for analysis here at a mean of 11 ± 1 years. In the study cohort, 64% (464) were male and 36% (262) were female, with a mean age of 44 ± 13 years at primary THA. We extracted data about articular noise from follow-up records in our institutional database and used a newly developed questionnaire to ascertain the percentage of patients who reported squeaking at the latest follow-up interval. Although not validated, the questionnaire was modeled on previous studies on this topic. The longitudinal pattern for squeaking was explored to find timepoints when squeaking occurs more frequently. Based on the questionnaire data, we calculated the percentages of frequent, reproducible, and avoidable squeaking. Hip function was evaluated with the Harris Hip Score and WOMAC score and compared between the squeaking and nonsqueaking groups. Factors associated with squeaking, which were examined in a multivariate analysis, were used to develop a nomogram. Results: At 10 years, 16% (116 of 726) of patients reported squeaking. Two squeaking peaks were determined, at 0 to 1 year and 8 to 10 years. Frequent, reproducible, and avoidable squeaking accounted for 42% (36 of 86), 20% (17 of 86), and 41% (35 of 86), respectively. The mean Harris Hip Score (93 ± 4 versus 94 ± 5; p = 0.81) and WOMAC score (16 ± 13 versus 15 ± 13; p = 0.23) did not differ between patients with squeaking and those without. After controlling for potential confounding variables such as etiology and head offset, we found that patients younger than 46 years (odds ratio 2.5 [95% confidence interval 1.5 to 5.0]; p < 0. 001), those who were male (OR 2.0 [95% CI 1.1 to 3.5]; p = 0.04), those having a total flexion and extension arc of less than 50° (OR 2.0 [95% CI 1.2 to 3.3]; p = 0.02), and those with the Corail hip implant (OR 4.1 [95% CI 2.1 to 7.7]; p < 0. 001) were more likely to report squeaking. We created a nomogram that can be used at the point of care that can help clinicians identify patients at a higher risk of experiencing squeaking; this nomogram had good performance (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 77%). Conclusion: As a potential late complication, squeaking after fourth-generation CoC THA is of concern and may be related to increased stripe wear. We recommend that surgeons use this nomogram to assess the odds of squeaking before selecting a bearing, especially in patients at high risk, to facilitate shared decision-making and improve patient satisfaction. To relieve the overwhelming pressure on fossil energy, aqueous magnesium ion batteries attracted tremendous attention owing to their low cost and high safety. However, the cathode materials are apt to occur lattice distortion because of the electrostatic interaction between magnesium ions and crystal. The 2×2 manganese octahedral molecular sieve with potassium ions and water located in the tunnels (K‐OMS‐2), utilized as a cathode material for chargeable magnesium ions batteries, is exposed to irreversible Mg2+ intercalation/deintercalation due to lattice distortion, which heavily damages the electrochemical properties and declines the capacity. Herein, we carry out an ion doping strategy to overcome the above issues, leading to an enhanced Mg Mg2+ storage behavior. The Nb or V cation is successfully doped into K‐OMS‐2 by a facile reflux method under room temperature. The specific surface area is enlarged by the addition of cations, which promise a large electrode‐electrolyte contact area. The Nb and V doped K‐OMS‐2 present a capacity of 252.6 and 265.9 mAh/g at 20 mA/g, respectively. This work demonstrates an ion doping approach toward exploiting the stable and high‐capacity Mg‐ion battery cathode and provides potential cathode materials for a large‐scale aqueous Mg‐ion‐based energy storage system. The growing crisis of antibiotic resistance calls for advanced and sustainable antibacterial strategies. In the past few years, lanthanide‐doped upconversion nanoparticles (UCNPs) with unique photophysical properties have been innovatively explored for bacterial detection and therapy, and hold promise for alleviating challenges faced in the post‐antibiotic era. In this review, the interface engineering for the bacteria‐targeted UCNP nanoplatforms is highlighted, the principles and merits of various upconversion detection strategies are discussed, and the latest progress in UCNP‐based antibacterial applications are summarized, especially in deep‐tissue infection imaging and therapy. Finally, the remaining concerns and future efforts for practical applications are put forward. [Display omitted] Utilising the solid-state synthesis method is an easy and effective way to recycle spent lithium-ion batteries. However, verifying its direct repair effects on completely exhausting cathode materials is necessary. In this work, the optimal conditions for direct repair of completely failed cathode materials by solid-state synthesis are explored. The discharge capacity of spent LiCoO 2 cathode material is recovered from 21.7 mAh g−1 to 138.9 mAh g−1 under the optimal regeneration conditions of 850 °C and n(Li)/n(Co) ratio of 1:1. The regenerated materials show excellent electrochemical performance, even greater than the commercial LiCoO 2. In addition, based on the whole closed-loop recycling process, the economic and environmental effects of various recycling techniques and raw materials used in the battery production process are assessed, confirming the superior economic and environmental feasibility of direct regeneration method. Background: With the advent of metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS), the time of DNA metabolism can be explored after bacteria be killed. In this study, we applied mNGS in investigation of the clearance profile of circulating bacteria DNA. Methods: All of the rabbits were injected with the inactivated Escherichia coli. Using mNGS, we analyzed serial samples of plasma collected from rabbits to detect clearance profile of circulating E. coli DNA. Results: In this study, we found that the of E. coli DNA could still be detected 6 h after injecting killed bacteria. The clearance half-lives associated with the 2 phases are 0.37 and 1.81 h. We also explored there is no correlation between the disease severity with the E. coli DNA reads in circulation. Conclusions: After the bacteria were completely killed, their DNA could still be detected in the blood circulation. The metabolism of bacterial DNA in the circulation had two phases: fast and slow phases, and there were no correlations between the level of bacteria reads with the severity of patients’ disease after the bacteria have been completely killed. Social networking sites (SNSs) are popular platforms for people to share and exchange information, especially for the millennial generation. This research uses Hong Kong as a case to study millennials’ SNS usage behavior and the impact of online key opinion leaders’ (KOLs) reviews on millennials’ restaurant visit intention. Using a mixed method, this study first develops a KOLs online presentation framework, then investigates the relative importance of different elements in a restaurant review on buying intention. The findings reveal that Instagram, Facebook and YouTube are the top three most popular SNSs used by millennials in Hong Kong. In restaurant reviews posted by KOLs, photos of food and ambiance, ratings and opinions on food quality, and price are found to exert a significant and positive impact on millennials’ restaurant visit intention. This research not only extends the study of online opinion leadership in the context of hospitality, but also provides practical recommendations for hotel and restaurant managers. Geological models are essential components in various applications. To generate reliable realizations, the geostatistical method focuses on reproducing spatial structures from training images (TIs). Moreover, uncertainty plays an important role in Earth systems. It is beneficial for creating an ensemble of stochastic realizations with high diversity. In this work, we applied a pattern classification distribution (PCD) method to quantitatively evaluate geostatistical modeling. First, we proposed a correlation-driven template method to capture geological patterns. According to the spatial dependency of the TI, region growing and elbow-point detection were launched to create an adaptive template. Second, a combination of clustering and classification was suggested to characterize geological realizations. Aiming at simplifying parameter specification, the program employed hierarchical clustering and decision tree to categorize geological structures. Third, we designed a stacking framework to develop the multi-grid analysis. The contribution of each grid was calculated based on the morphological characteristics of TI. Our program was extensively examined by a channel model, a 2D nonstationary flume system, 2D subglacial bed topographic models in Antarctica, and 3D sandstone models. We activated various geostatistical programs to produce realizations. The experimental results indicated that PCD is capable of addressing multiple geological categories, continuous variables, and high-dimensional structures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Superhydrophobicity has been a crucial research topic due to its ability to make surfaces stay dry and self-clean. Low-surface-energy organic coatings are widely used to fabricate superhydrophobic surfaces by modifying surface groups and minimizing surface energy. Considering defects would seriously undermine these coatings, which would further lead to hydrophobicity dwindling and lifetime decreasing, researchers have begun to investigate the development of superhydrophobic surfaces without organic coatings. However, it is still controversial whether these superhydrophobic surfaces are really free of organic substances with low surface energy. In this work, O3 bombardment was utilized to construct micro–nanostructures on aluminum foil. The aluminum foil surface turns to superhydrophobic after ozone bombardment with the contact angle (CAs) increasing from 20° to 161°. Results showed the presence of silicon contaminations on alumina surfaces despite the fact that no organic coatings are utilized in the fabrication process. The transition of hydrophilic-to-superhydrophobic was attributed to both surface morphology and silicon contamination from pump oil. Our work reveals that trace organic contamination from pump oil is a key factor that cannot be ignored in scenarios with vacuum pump use, which could provide some favorable evidence to figure out the controversial issue mentioned above. Objective: Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) caused by non‐tubercular mycobacteria (NTM) is uncommon but catastrophic. However, conclusive clinical data on PJI caused by NTM are lacking. In this case series and systematic review, the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and management of NTM PJI are summarized and analyzed. Methods: From 2012 to 2020, we retrospectively analyzed consecutive PJI cases caused by NTM in our institution. A literature review was also conducted from January 2000 to December 2021, utilizing the PubMed, MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, and EMBASE databases to identify all reported NTM‐induced PJI cases. The clinical characteristics, demographics, pathogen identification, treatment protocols, and prognosis of NTM PJI were summarized and analyzed. Results: In this retrospective analysis, seven patients infected with NTM following total joint arthroplasty at our institution were included, including six cases of PJI caused by NTM and one case of septic arthritis (SA) caused by NTM. There were six men and one woman, and their average age was 62.3 years. The average interval between TJA and PJI onset was 4 months. The preoperative serological markers, including the mean ESR (51 mm/h), CRP (4.0 mg/dL), fibrinogen (5.7 g/L), and D‐dimer (1.1 g/L), were increased. Six patients underwent staged revision surgery, and one patient with SA received antibiotic‐loaded bone cement beads to treat the infection. After an average of 33 months of observation following surgical intervention, none of the patients showed any symptoms of infection recurrence. From 2000 to 2021, 68 patients with NTM PJI were found in 39 studies in the published literature. Reinfections occurred within 1 year after arthroplasty in more than half (53.2%) of the patients. M. fortuitum and M. abscesses were the most prevalent rapidly growing mycobacteria (RGM) in all PJI patients, whereas Mycobacterium avium intracellulare (MAC) was the most prevalent slowly growing mycobacterium (SGM). The corresponding antibiotics were amikacin and ethambutol. The rate of culture‐negative without specific clinical symptoms was as high as 36.4% (12/33), while 45% (18/40) utilized additional diagnostic techniques such as NGS. A final clinical follow‐up record was available for 59 patients (86.7%; mean follow‐up period, 29 months), and 10.1% of patients failed to respond to treatment. Conclusion: Orthopaedic surgeons should consider NTM in patients with negative routine cultures who are at risk for Mycobacterium infection. Treatment options rely on the accurate result of microbiologic identification and drug sensitivity testing, and to achieve this, it may be necessary to send multiple culture specimens, extend the culture time, and change the culture medium. La mortalidad del cáncer de pulmón ha disminuido en la última década, lo que se atribuye en parte a la mejoría de los tratamientos. La cirugía curativa es el tratamiento habitual para pacientes con cáncer pulmonar en estadio inicial, pero no todas las intervenciones quirúrgicas tienen buen pronóstico. La quimioterapia adyuvante y neoadyuvante se utiliza para mejorar el pronóstico de los pacientes con cáncer de pulmón resecable. La inmunoterapia, tratamiento que marcó una época, ha mejorado los efectos curativos, el pronóstico y la tolerabilidad en comparación con la quimioterapia citotóxica tradicional, ofreciendo nuevas esperanzas a pacientes con cáncer de pulmón no-microcítico (CPNM). Ensayos clínicos relacionados con la inmunoterapia han registrado resul-tados clínicos alentadores en la exploración de los distintos tipos de inmunoterapia perioperatoria, incluida la monoterapia neoadyu-vante con inhibidores de puntos de control inmunitarios (ICI), la inmunoterapia combinada neoadyuvante (quimioinmunoterapia, inmunoterapia más terapia antiangiogénica, inmunoterapia más radioterapia o quimiorradioterapia concurrente), la inmunoterapia adyuvante y la inmunoterapia combinada adyuvante y neoadyuvante.
