Safety literature has traditionally focused on identifying and managing risk factors that lead to safety outcomes (e.g., injuries, accidents, death) at work. The current study takes a new perspective on employee safety and proposes that safety‐related experience has more general work implications. Drawing on theories of stress coping and workplace anxiety, we test a mechanism on how employees' daily experiences of safety threats are related to their work behavior via negative emotional reactions. Specifically, we focus on employees' experiences of safety violations on the way to work and at work during the ongoing struggles with COVID‐19. Our daily diary study (Level 1 N = 778, Level 2 N = 84; office workers in South Korea) shows that experiencing safety violations during the daily commute and at work is associated with increased state health anxiety at work, which then translates into work withdrawal on that day. Furthermore, we introduce organizational safety climate as an important mitigating factor of this stress‐coping process, as such a climate can emphasize management's commitment to safety. To explore the effect of yeast-Agastache rugosus complex solution on the deodorization of tilapia, the deodorization process was optimized by single factor and response surface experiments. Gas chromatography ion mobility spectroscopy (GC-IMS) was used to identify the volatile components of tilapia meat before and after deodorization, and partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) was used to distinguish and analyze the differences. Results showed that when the conditions of a mass concentration of 2.1 g/100 mL, the ratio of solid to liquid was 1:3.09 (g:mL), and the deodorization time of 32 minutes, the fishy degree was the lowest and the sensory score was the highest. A total of 22 volatile compounds, mainly aldehydes and alcohols, were detected by GC-IMS. After deodorization, the relative content of aldehydes decreased from 50.64% to 40.82%, and that of alcohols decreased from 34.00% to 27.77% . According to the odor threshold value, the substances with relative odor activity value (ROAV) was greater than 1 were 1-octen-3-ol, 1-hexanol, heptanal, nonanal, octyl aldehede, ethyl acetate, and acetic acid hexyl ester. Five key fishy substances (VIP > 1) were screened by partial least squares discriminant analysis and variable importance in projection (VIP). They were octyl aldehede, nonanal, heptanal, 1-octen-3- ol, and 1-hexanol. The interaction of these substances had an important impact on the fishy smell of tilapia. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: We aimed to compare the efficacy of tocilizumab with conventional immunotherapy in refractory patients with acetylcholine receptor antibody‐positive (AChR‐Ab+) generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG). Methods: This single‐center prospective cohort study was based on patients from an MG registry study in China and conducted from February 10, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Adult refractory patients with AChR‐Ab+ gMG were assigned to tocilizumab or conventional immunotherapy groups. The primary efficacy outcome was the mean difference of MG activities of daily living (MG‐ADL) change at weeks 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24 corresponding to that at the baseline between the two groups. A generalized estimating equation model was used for the primary outcome analysis. Safety was assessed based on adverse events. Results: Of 34 eligible patients, 20 (mean [standard deviation] age, 53.8 [21.9] years; 12 [60.0%] female) received tocilizumab and 14 received conventional immunotherapy (45.8 [18.0] years; 8 [57.1%] female). The tocilizumab group had greater reduction in MG‐ADL score at week 4 (adjusted mean difference, −3.4; 95% CI, −4.7 to −2.0; p < 0.001) than the conventional immunotherapy group, with significant differences sustained through week 24 (adjusted mean difference, −4.5; 95% CI, −6.4 to −2.6; p < 0.001). At week 24, the proportion of patients achieving higher levels of MG‐ADL (up to 7‐point reduction) and QMG (up to 11‐point reduction) scores improvement was significantly greater with tocilizumab. Tocilizumab had acceptable safety profiles without severe or unexpected safety issues. Conclusion: Tocilizumab is safe and effective in improving the MG‐ADL score and reducing prednisone dose in refractory AChR‐Ab+ gMG, suggesting tocilizumab has the potential to be a valuable therapeutic option for such patients.
