Purpose This paper aims to discuss the precise altitude and velocity tracking control of a hypersonic vehicle, a global adaptive neural backstepping controller was studied based on a disturbance observer (DOB). Design/methodology/approach The DOB combined with a radial basis function (RBF) neural network (NN) was used to estimate the disturbance terms that are generated by the flexible modes of the hypersonic vehicle system. A global adaptive neural method was introduced to approximate the unknown system dynamics, with robust control terms pulling the system transient states back into the neural approximation domain externally. Findings The globally uniformly ultimately bounded for all signals of a closed-loop system can be guaranteed by the proposed control algorithm. Additionally, the command filtered backstepping methods can avoid the explosion of the complexity problem caused by the backstepping design process. In addition, the effectiveness of the proposed controller can be verified by the simulation used in this study. Research limitations/implications Normally lateral dynamics issue should be discussed in the process of control system designed, the lateral dynamics are not included in the nonlinear dynamic model of hypersonic vehicle used in this paper, merely the longitudinal flight dynamics are discussed in this paper. Originality/value The flexible states in rigid modes are considered as the disturbance of the system, which is estimated by structuring DOB with NN approximations. The compensating tracking error and prediction error are used in the update law of RBF NN weight. The differential explosions complexity derived from the backstepping procedure is dealt with by using command filters.

The life preservers aboard airplanes play a critical role in ensuring occupant safety in water-related accidents. However, several airlines off-load life preservers to save fuel and costs. In this study, a cost–benefit analysis was performed considering the Life Quality Index to examine the necessity of life preservers aboard aircraft. It was noted that the placement of life preservers aboard airplanes was reasonable and beneficial in the recent 15 years. Although life preservers are primarily required for extended overwater (EOW) operations, the distance from the shoreline for most of the water-related accidents was considerably smaller than that of an EOW operation, and most water-related accidents occurred close to an airport. In other words, air passengers were at risk of water-related accidents, regardless of whether the flight was classified as an EOW flight. Thus, life preservers must be made available for all the occupants on all passenger flights, regardless of the flight path.

Taking以三江平原湿地代表植物小叶章为对象,通过对杂类草草甸、典型草甸、沼泽化草甸、沼泽生境中小叶章个体大小与生物量差异及繁殖构件与植株生物量之间相关关系的分析,研究不同生境中水位对小叶章个体生物量与繁殖分配的影响。结果表明: 小叶章个体大小、高度及有性繁殖特征随水位升高而显著降低;杂类草草甸、典型草甸、沼泽化草甸和沼泽中小叶章的繁殖阈值分别为0.245、0.149、0.148和0.157 g;除沼泽化草甸外,其他3种生境中小叶章植株个体大小与繁殖分配均呈显著负相关;相较于个体大小,土壤含水量对于小叶章有性繁殖分配影响更大,不同生境中小叶章对个体大小和繁殖分配的差异投资是其具有良好生态适应性的基础条件。.

BackgroundBoosting the individual learning passion of medical students is a novel approach to improve their academic performance. It facilitates the medical education reform, motivating both policymakers and educators to focus on the function of positive psychology in the career development of medical students. Therefore, this study aimed (1) to assess the status of two types of learning passion; (2) to clarify the relationship between self-esteem and two types of learning passion among Chinese medical students; (3) to examine the mediating role of psychological capital (PsyCap) in the relationship between self-esteem and two types of learning passion, respectively; and (4) to identify the moderating role of professional identity in the relationship between PsyCap and two types of learning passion, respectively.MethodsA cross-sectional online survey was conducted from April to June 2016 in China. A total of 1,218 valid questionnaires (effective completion rate: 67.93%) were collected from four medical schools.ResultsSelf-esteem significantly and positively influenced medical students’ PsyCap (β = 0.637, P < 0.01) and two types of learning passion, including harmonious learning passion (β = 0.589, P < 0.01) and obsessive learning passion (β = 0.436, P < 0.01). PsyCap fully mediated the relationship (β = 0.578, P < 0.01) between self-esteem and harmonious learning passion positively, whereas it suppressed the relationship (β = 0.490, P < 0.01) between self-esteem and obsessive learning passion. Further, professional identity significantly moderated the correlation between PsyCap and harmonious learning passion (β = −0.554, P < 0.05), rather than obsessive learning passion (P > 0.05).ConclusionTwo types of learning passion of medical students are positively influenced by self-esteem and PsyCap. Medical students with high-level self-esteem should possess strong PsyCap, which augments their harmonious as well as obsessive learning passion. Moreover, the positive effect of medical students’ PsyCap on harmonious learning passion is more notable among those with a lower professional identity. Finally, this study argues that strengths-based interventions of self-esteem and PsyCap are a beneficial approach for future enhancing learning passion in the domain of medical education.

Background Medical students struggle with a heavy workload during their comparatively long course of study in China. The future of medical science depends largely on whether or not medical students become qualified. This study aims to explore whether medical students’ academic adaptability affects learning outcomes. This paper will not only provide scientific evidence for educators and administrators of medical schools but will also benefit students by improving their aptitude and adaptability through a thorough discussion on their educational environment. Methods We conducted a cross-sectional survey from September to December 2016. A total of 1977 respondents completed the questionnaire with a response rate of 79.08%. A cross-sectional survey was used in this study. Descriptive statistics, factor analysis, General Linear Model (GLM) analysis, standard multiple regression, and hierarchical multiple regression were performed for data analysis using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences software (SPSS Version 19.0, SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA). Results Out of the 1977 students, 1586 (80.2%) had mean academic adaptability levels over 3. Findings suggested that academic adaptability (Mean = 3.32), immersion in learning (Mean = 3.20), and academic performance (Mean = 3.39), were at the middle level while academic burnout (Mean = 2.17) was at a low level. Aiming at the problem that the fault location accuracy of multi-terminal transmission line is not high, a fault location method based on multi-terminal traveling wave time difference is proposed. By analyzing the difference among multi-terminal traveling wave time difference in different fault locations, the multi-terminal traveling wave time difference matrix is established, which shows that the multi-terminal traveling wave time difference reflects the characteristics of different fault locations. F norm is used to analyze quantitatively the difference among the different fault location. By comparing the matrix F norm of each simulated fault point with the actual fault, the fault location is determined. Thus, the accurate fault location is calculated by the double-ended fault location PSCAD simulation result show that the proposed method is simple to implement and determine accurately the fault location. It has some certain practical vaule.

Proton exchange membrane (PEM) is a key component of proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). In recent years, metal organic framework (MOF) and its composite membranes have become the research hotspots. [Co(L-Glu)(H2O)·H2O]n (Co-MOF, L-Glu = L-glutamate) was synthesized by hydrothermal method. Co2+ ions are coordinated with L-Glu ligands and water molecules to form one-dimensional chains extending along the a-axis, which are further bridged by L-Glu ligands to form a three-dimensional network structure. AC impedance analysis shows that the proton conductivity of Co-MOF reaches 3.14 × 10−4 S·cm−1 under 98% relative humidity (RH) and 338 K. To improve proton conductivity, different contents of Co-MOF were added in chitosan (CS) to form composite membranes Co-MOF@CS-X (mass fraction X = 5%, 10%, 15% wt). The results show the proton conductivity of the Co-MOF@CS-10 composite membrane is 1.73 × 10−3 S·cm−1 at 358 K and 98% RH, which is more than 3 times that of pure CS. As far as we known, this is the first composite made of amino acid MOFs and CS as proton exchange membrane. Furthermore, Co-MOF has an obvious quenching effect on L-histidine in aqueous solution, which can detect the content of L-histidine in water with high sensitivity, and the detection limit is 1 × 10−7 M.

This study engineered β-carotene ketolase CrtW and β-carotene hydroxylase CrtZ to improve biosynthesis of astaxanthin in Escherichia coli. Firstly, crtW was randomly mutated to increase CrtW activities on conversion from β-carotene to astaxanthin. A crtW* mutant with A6T, T105A and L239M mutations has improved 5.35-fold astaxanthin production compared with the wild-type control. Secondly, the expression levels of crtW* and crtZ on chromosomal were balanced by simultaneous modulation RBS regions of their genes using RBS library. The strain RBS54 selected from RBS library, directed the pathway exclusively towards the desired product astaxanthin as predominant carotenoid (99%). Lastly, the number of chromosomal copies of the balanced crtW-crtZ cassette from RBS54 was increased using a Cre-loxP based technique, and a strain with 30 copies of the crtW*-crtZ cassette was selected. This final strain DL-A008 had a 9.8-fold increase of astaxanthin production compared with the wild-type control. Fed-batch fermentation showed that DL-A008 produced astaxanthin as predominant carotenoid (99%) with a specific titer of 0.88 g·L-1 without addition of inducer. In conclusion, through constructing crtW mutation, balancing the expression levels between crtW* and crtZ, and increasing the copy number of the balanced crtW*-crtZ cassette, the activities of β-carotene ketolase and β-carotene hydroxylase were improved for conversion of β-carotene to astaxanthin with higher efficiency. The series of conventional and novel metabolic engineering strategies were designed and applied to construct the astaxanthin hetero-producer strain of E. coli, possibly offering a general approach for the construction of stable hetero-producer strains for other natural products.

The mixotrophic growth of Chlorella pyrenoidosa and lipid accumulation in anaerobically digested starch wastewater (ADSW) were enhanced using six carbon sources in the laboratory and then up-scaled outdoors. The microalgae can utilize monosaccharides (glucose, fructose and galactose) as carbon sources for mixotrophic growth in ADSW when they cannot use maltose, sucrose or starch. Compared to the blank ADSW culture, the addition of 0.8% monosaccharides improved the algal concentration by more than 2.2–2.5 times during laboratory axenic culture. Moreover, the cellular lipid content in the biomass increased by 50.5–93.4%. The fatty acids analysis indicated that more than 44–51% of the lipids were covered with saturated fatty acids (C14:0, C15:0, C16:0 and C18:0) in the presence of 0.8% monosaccharides, whereas only 28% were covered in pure ADSW culture. Up-scaling the culture outdoors showed that the addition of sugar caused severe bacterial contamination in the algal system. Fortunately, the rapid growth of bacteria did not collapse the algal system. Similar to the results of the laboratory culture, both the algal growth and lipid accumulation were enhanced with addition of the three monosaccharides during outdoor culture. This result suggests that adding the three monosaccharides to ADSW is a potentially effective way to enhance both the biomass and lipid production.

To explore the distribution of fungal community in soil of brown coniferous forest in Daxing'anling and its relationship with soil characteristics, soil fungal community structure and diversity in three forest types, light brown coniferous forest, grass brown coniferous forest, and typical brown coniferous forest, were analyzed by high-throughput sequencing technology. The relationship between soil fungal community and soil characteristics was analyzed by R and SPSS 17.0 software. The results showed that soil physical and chemical characteristics differed significantly across the three brown coniferous forests. A total of 111 species belonged to six phyla, 23 class, 46 orders, 74 families and 88 genera were recorded in this study. Ascomycetes and basidiomycetes were dominant phyla. There were significant differences in relative abundance of phyla among three forest types. There was no significant difference in the Ace and Chao1 diversity indices among three brown coniferous forests, whereas there were significant differences in the Shannon and Simpson indices. Results from canonical correlation analysis and correlation analysis showed that both α and β diversity were significantly correlated with soil moisture, soil pH, soil organic matter, soil total nitrogen, and soil total potassium. Methods: Logistic regression was performed to investigate association between single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) and glioma risk and generalized multifactor dimensionality reduction (GMDR) was used to analyze the gene-gene interaction. Results: Glioma risks were higher in carriers of homozygous mutant of rs603965 within CCND1 gene, rs1346787 and rs3791679 in EFEMP1 gene than those with wild-type homozygotes, OR (95%CI) were 1.67 (1.23-2.02), 1.59 (1.25-2.01) and 1.42 (1.15-1.82), respectively. GMDR analysis indicated a significant two-locus model (p=0.0010) involving rs603965 within CCND1 gene and rs1346787 within EFEMP1 gene. Overall, the cross-validation consistency of the two- locus models was 10\ 10, and the testing accuracy is 60.17%. Participants with rs603965 - GA or AA and rs1346787- AG or GG genotype have the highest glioma risk, compared to participants with rs603965 - GG and rs1346787- AA genotype, OR (95%CI) was 3.65 (1.81-5.22). We conducted haplotype analysis for rs1346787 and rs3791679, because D′ value between rs1346787 and rs3791679 was more than 0.8. The most common haplotype was rs1346787 – A and rs3791679- G haplotype, the frequency of which was 0.4905 and 0.4428 in case and control group. Conclusions: Polymorphism in rs603965 within CCND1 gene and rs1346787 within EFEMP1 gene and its gene- gene interaction were associated with increased glioma risk.

Heat shock protein A 12B (HSPA12B) is a newly discovered member of the heat shock protein 70 family. Preclinical evidence indicates that HSPA12B helps protect the brain from ischemic injury, although its specific function remains unclear. The aim of this study is to investigate whether HSPA12B overexpression can protect astrocytes from oxygen-glucose-serum deprivation/restoration (OGD/R) injury. We analyzed the effects of HSPA12B overexpression on spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion injury and spinal astrocyte survival. After ischemia-reperfusion injury, we found that HSPA12B overexpression decreased spinal cord water content and infarct volume. MTT assay showed that HSPA12B overexpression increased astrocyte survival after OGD/R treatment. Flow cytometry results showed a marked inhibition of OGD/R-induced astrocyte apoptosis. Western blot assay showed that HSPA12B overexpression significantly increased regulatory protein B-cell lymphocyte 2 (Bcl-2) levels, whereas it decreased expression of the Bax protein, which forms a heterodimer with Bcl-2. Measurements of the level of activation of caspase-3 by Caspase-Glo®3/7 Assay kit showed that HSPA12B overexpression markedly inhibited caspase-3 activation. Notably, we demonstrated that the effects of HSPA12B on spinal astrocyte survival depended on activation of the PI3K/Akt signal pathway. These findings indicate that HSPA12B protects against spinal cord ischemia-reperfusion injury and may represent a potential treatment target.

Trichoderma strain T-33 has been demonstrated to have inhibitory effect on the fungus species Cytospora chrysosperma. Here, an active antifungal compound was obtained from Trichoderma strain T-33 extract via combined separation technologies, including organic solvent extraction, liquid chromatography, and thin-layer chromatography. The purified compound was further characterized by advanced analytical technologies to elucidate its chemical structure. Results indicated that the active antifungal compound in Trichoderma strain T-33 extract is 2,5- cyclohexadiene-1,4-dione-2,6-bis (1,1-dimethylethyl).

The aim of the present study was to identify a natural product with the ability to inhibit nuclear factor of activated T cells c1 (NFATc1) translocation from the cytoplasm to the nucleus by high-throughput screening, and to investigate the effect of the natural product upon osteoclast differentiation and its underlying mechanism. An NFATc1 antagonist redistribution assay was performed in U2OS-NFATc1 cells against a natural product library, and Wogonin was found to have the ability to inhibit the NFATc1 translocation from the cytoplasm to the nucleus. The effect of Wogonin on NFATc1 transcription activation was further determined by luciferase assay. An osteoclast differentiation assay was executed to evaluate the effect of Wogonin on osteoclast differentiation. The effect of Wogonin upon the vital genes in osteoclast differentiation was investigated using fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis. The natural product Wogonin significantly inhibited the translocation of NFATc1 from the cytoplasm to the nucleus and its transcriptional activation activity. Wogonin also significantly inhibited osteoclast differentiation and decreased the transcription of osteoclast-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor, tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase and calcitonin receptor. In conclusion, the natural product Wogonin inhibited osteoclast differentiation through the inhibition of NFATc1 translocation from the cytoplasm to the nucleus, and thus the downregulation of genes associated with osteoclast differentiation, which marked Wogonin as a potential treatment for osteoporosis.

Our aim was to investigate the expression of micro-RNA-200b (miR-200b) and cAMP-responsive element-binding protein 1 (CREB-1) in astrocytoma and its efficacy for predicting outcome. Both miR-200b and CREB-1 messenger RNA expression was measured in 122 astrocytomas and 30 nonneoplastic brain specimens by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Expression of miR-200b was significantly lower in astrocytoma than in nonneoplastic brain (P < .001), whereas CREB-1 messenger RNA expression was significantly elevated in the tumors (P < .001). Both miR-200b down-regulation and CREB-1 up-regulation were significantly associated with advanced pathologic grade (P = .002 and P = .006, respectively). Low miR-200b expression correlated negatively with Karnofsky performance score (P = .03), and high CREB-1 expression correlated positively with mean tumor diameter (P = .03). By Kaplan-Meier analysis, low miR-200b, high CREB-1, and coexistence of abnormal miR-200b and CREB-1 expression (low miR-200b/high CREB-1) were predictive of shorter progression-free survival and overall survival in both grade III and grade IV astrocytoma. By multivariate analysis, only low miR-200b/high CREB-1 expression was an independent prognostic factor for poor prognosis in astrocytoma of advanced grade. Both miR-200b and CREB-1 may play important cooperative roles in the progression of human astrocytoma. The efficacy of miR-200b and CREB-1 together as a predictor of prognosis in astrocytoma patients is shown for the first time.

The solubility of hexachlorobenzene in different solvents (hexachlorobutadiene, tetrachloroprene, benzene, toluene and chloroform) at different temperatures was measured by the dynamic laser method and equilibrium method. The measured solubility data were correlated with Apelblat empirical equation. The results show that the equation is suitable for description of the solubility data of hexachlorobenzene in the above solvents.

For hydrogel patches, the laboratory tests could not fully reveal the existing problems of full scale of industrial production, and there are few studies about the preparation technique for the industrial manufacturing process of hydrogel patches. So, the purpose of this work was to elucidate the effects of mainly technological operation and its parameters on the performance of hydrogel patches at the industrial-scale production. The results revealed the following: (1) the aqueous phase was obtained by polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) along with tartaric acid dissolved in purified water, then feeding this into a vacuum mixer as a whole in one batch, thus extended the crosslinking reaction time of hydrogel paste (matrix) and allowed the operation of coating/cutting-off to be carried out easily, and there was no permeation of backing layer; (2) the gel strength of the hydrogel patches increased with the increase of working temperature, however, once the temperature exceeded 35 ± 2 °C, the hydrogel paste would lose water severely and the resultant physical crosslinking structure which has lower gel/cohesive strength would easily bring gelatinization/residues during application; (3) the relative humidity (RH) of the standing-workshop was dynamically controlled (namely at 35 ± 2 °C, keeping the RH at 55 ± 5% for 4 days, then 65 ± 5% for 2 days), which would make patches with satisfactory characteristics such as better flexibility, higher adhesive force, smooth flat matrix surface, and without gelatinization/residues and warped edge during the using process; (4) the aging of the packaged hydrogel patches was very sensitive to storage temperature, higher temperature, higher gel strength and lower adhesiveness. The storage temperature of 10 ± 2 °C could effectively prevent matrix aging and adhesion losing, which would also facilitate the expiration date of patches extended obviously. In conclusion, this work provides an optimized and feasible preparation technique for the industrial production of the hydrogel patches and establishes the hydrogel patches as a novel carrier for transdermal drug delivery.

Although many scholars have utilized high-throughput microarrays to delineate gene expression patterns after spinal cord injury (SCI), no study has evaluated gene changes in raphe magnus (RM) and somatomotor cortex (SMTC), two areas in brain primarily affected by SCI. In present study, we aimed to analyze the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) of RM and SMTC between SCI model and sham injured control at 4, 24 h, 7, 14, 28 days, and 3 months using microarray dataset GSE2270 downloaded from gene expression omnibus and unpaired significance analysis of microarray method. Protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed for DEGs at crucial time points and significant biological functions were enriched using DAVID. The results indicated that more DEGs were identified at 14 days in RM and at 4 h/3 months in SMTC after SCI. In the PPI network for DEGs at 14 days in RM, interleukin 6, glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH), FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog (FOS), tumor necrosis factor, and nuclear receptor subfamily 3, group C, member 1 (glucocorticoid receptor) were the top 5 hub genes; In the PPI network for DEGs at 3 months in SMTC, the top 5 hub genes were ubiquitin B, Ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1 (rho family, small GTP binding protein Rac1), FOS, Janus kinase 2 and vascular endothelial growth factor A. Hedgehog and Wnt signaling pathways were the top 2 significant pathways in RM. These hub DEGs and pathways may be underlying therapeutic targets for SCI.

The noise resulted in the calibration process of the landing guidance radar can cause serious accidents. Analyse the principle of the EMD and wavelet denoising method. Points out the deficiencies of pure EMD or pure wavelet denoising method. Propose a denoising method based on EMD and wavelet. Improved the discriminanting method for high or low frequency components and the discriminanting method for wavelet thresholding. First EMD the signal, then denoise the high frequency components by wavelet, finally, combined the low frequency components and the denoised high frequency components to get the denoised data.

In order to study the affect of carrier landing guide radar caused by movement of the aircraft carrier, established a kind of wave model according to p-m spectral, and established a kind of attitude model for aircraft carrier according to the Connolly linear theory. Select the appropriate target for computer simulation. Drawn: the azimuth error of radar has linear relationship with yawing of aircraft carrier, has nothing relationship with pitching angle of aircraft carrier, the pitch error has relationship with roll angle and pitch angle of aircraft carrier, distance error has a little relationship with the translational motion along the axis of aircraft carrier.

The water modelling experiments of 300 t converter concerning combined blowing parameters, the number, and configuration of bottom nozzles are carried out. The results show that the arrangement of 16 bottom nozzles at 0. 40D and 0. 45D (hearth diameter) concentric circles is the reasonable solution. The combined blowing steelmaking technique of 300 t converter has been developed through experiments and studies relating to optimizing the top-bottom combined blowing pattern, the number and configuration of the bottom nozzles, the type selection of bottom nozzle, and bottom nozzle maintenance techniques. The results show that the product of w[C] • w[O] at endpoint is reduced from 0. 002 62 to 0. 002 43, average TFe content is decreased by 2%, phosphorus distribution is raised from 70. 85 to 78. 95, sulfur distribution is raised from 3. 43 to 4. 32 and manganese content is raised by 0. 02%.

Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) was used to investigate the thermal properties of 2,4-dichlorophenol+2,6-dichlorophenol and 2,4-dichlorophenol+2,3-dichlorophenol binary systems. The experimental results showed that The phase diagram of 2,4-dichlorophenol+2,6-dichlorophenol system was a simple eutectic type with the eutectic point at 294.99 K and 0.6200 mole fraction of 2,4dichlorophenol; The phase diagram of 2,4dichlorophenol+2,3dichlorophenol system was a simple eutectic type with the eutectic point at 291.86 K and 0.5834 mole fraction of 2,4dichlorophenol. Furthermore, the activity coefficients of components in mixtures of 2,4dichlorophenol+2,6dichlorophenol and2,4dichlorophenol+ 2,3dichlorophenol binary systems have been correlated by the Wilson model, respectively.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation is expected to give detailed flow information which is important for stirred reactor design and optimization, however accurate flow prediction remains a challenge for CFD application. In the present paper, influence of discretization scheme on the flow prediction in a stirred reactor with Rushton turbine was investigated. Standardk-εturbulent model and MRF model was adopted and numerical results obtained by using three different discretization schemes were compared. Results showed that the numerical results agreed well with data provided in literature. It is acceptable to use any discreticaiton method if aiming at a general flow field, while QUICK is recommended considering the more detailed flow information.

Chemical kindling, as an experimental model of epileptogenesis, is induced by repetitive administration of subconvulsive amount of excitatory drugs. Kindled mice do not typically display spontaneous recurrent seizures, but are instead characterized by enhanced seizure susceptibility to convulsive stimulations. In order to provide insights into the aberrant synaptic plasticity during kindling, this study investigated the effect of pentylenetetrazol (PTZ) kindling on filamentous actin (F-actin) in mossy fiber synapses in C57BL/6 mice. Phalloidin labeling of F-actin showed that F-actin puncta were increased in number in the stratum lucidum of CA3 region in the hippocampus after kindling. The rearrangement of F-actin seemed to occur presynaptically, since synapsin I, a specific marker for mossy fiber terminals, was also up-regulated. Such subtle structural modifications occurring in the synapses are thought to contribute to the long-lasting increased sensitivity in the PTZ-kindled C57BL/6 mice.

Titanium silicalite-1(TS-1) membranes were prepared on cordierite support by hydrothermal treatment. The TS-1 membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and FT-IR, The factor that the ratio of TPA+/Si on influencing TS-1 crystal was investigated and it was indicated that the ratio of TPA+/Si had a strong effect on its morphology. The TS-1 crystal presented ellipsoid when ratio of TPA+/Si was 0.15. However, the morphology of TS-1 crystal changed to coffin-shaped when the ratio of TPA+/Si increased to 0.4. Each lattice plane of TS-1 crystal grew on cordierite support with different speed which was controlled by concentration of structure-directing agent SDA (TPAOH) in precursor solution. The mechanism of TS-1 crystal growth on cordierite support maybe that the TPA+ in the solution attracts silicate species, titanium species to form inorganic-organic composite species, the aggregation the inorganic-organic composite species formed crystal nucleus, the morphologies changed due to the growth rate of different lattice planes.

Non-isothermal thermogravimetry analysis was applied to study the thermal decomposition kinetics of ulipristal acetate (form B). According to the experimental result, ulipristal acetate (form B) decomposed included three steps. Based on different kinetics function of corresponding thermal decomposition mechanisms and experimental data of ulipristal acetate (form B), decomposition mechanisms of three steps of ulipristal acetate (form B) were analyzed by differential method. According to fitting results of different mechanism functions, decomposition mechanisms of three steps of ulipristal acetate (form B) were determined, and three corresponding thermal decomposition dynamic functions were also obtained.

In this paper, we measure the similarity of human motion data in the terms of distances between trajectories with a semantic method. In order to solve the problem of heavy computation cost, the semantic method that represents a trajectory as a set of 5-D vectors which contains the semantic information are proposed. Through experiments, the semantic method is proved to be efficient for cutting down the computation time and for two kinds of problems: overlapped trajectories with different directions and the trajectories with decoytrenches.

Nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT) is a multifunctional cytokine family. NFAT5 was recently reported to be involved in many neuronal functions, but its specific function remains unclear. In this study, our aim is to investigate whether NFAT5 overexpression can protect astrocytes against oxygen-glucose-serum deprivation/restoration (OGSD/R) damage. In vivo, rats were subjected to ischemia-reperfusion injury, resulting in increased water content, infarct volume, and expression of NFAT5 protein in rat spinal cord. After primary culture for spinal cord astrocytes, the in vitro OGSD/R model was established. The results of the CCK8 assay and flow cytometry showed that, in the OGSD/R group, astrocyte cell viability was downregulated, but astrocyte apoptosis increased. Caspase 3 activity increased as well. Levels of NFAT5, as detected by real-time quantitative PCR and western blot, decreased under OGSD/R, as did SIRT1. Commercial kits for activity assays were used to show that OGSD/R inhibited SIRT1 activation but accelerated SOD activation after OGSD/R. Next, pcDNA-NFAT5 or NFAT5 siRNA was transfected into astrocytes. Overexpression of NFAT5 not only promoted the survival of the astrocytes and SIRT1 activation under OGSD/R but also inhibited cell apoptosis and SOD activation. Moreover, overexpression of NFAT5 apparently diminished histone acetylation and promoted the nuclear transport of Nrf2. Our results show that NFAT5 protects spinal astrocytes in a manner that depends on activation of the SIRT1/Nrf2 pathway. These findings present a novel potential molecular mechanism for NFAT5 therapy in the context of spinal cord injury.

The purpose of this work was to develop and characterize a novel delivery system of post-expansile hydrogel foam aerosol of propylene glycol-embodying liposomes (PG-liposomes) (PEHFL) for vaginal drug delivery applications. Matrine (MT) was used as a model drug to investigate the vaginal mucous membrane permeation behavior of MT from PEHFL versus PG-liposomes foam aerosol (PLFA), hydrogel foam aerosol (HFA) and hydrogel (HYG). The MT loaded PG-liposomes were characterized for shape, particle size, polydispersity, zeta potential and encapsulation efficiency; the foams of PEHFL were also characterized for swelling behavior, mucoadhesive force and duration. Results revealed that: (i) the MT loaded PG-liposomes had a mean size of 122 ± 16 nm, a good polydispersity index of 0.147 ± 0.023, and exhibited a negative charge of -47.5 ± 0.4 mV, the MT entrapment capacity in PG-liposomes (was calculated as percentages of total drug) was 80.8 ± 2.6%; (ii) the foams of PEHFL had a laggingly swelling process after spurted from a sealed container, and the higher the temperature of the surrounding environment, the greater the degree of swelling, this swelling state of foams would greatly enhance drug spread uniformly in vaginal canal and contact the vaginal walls tightly; (iii) the foams of PEHFL had a mucoadhesive force about 1460 ± 123 mN/cm(2), and could sustain 85 ± 11 min in vitro; (iv) the overall mean permeated MT through unit mass of porcine vaginal tissue from PEHFL was 2.64, 2.34 and 7.59 times higher than that from PLFA, HFA and HYG, respectively (t-test, P0.05); and the quantity of MT remaining in the vaginal tissue at the end of the 12h experiment was also significantly greater (t-test, P0.05) from the PEHFL than from PLFA, HFA and HYG. All of these results indicate that the main advantages of PEHFL over conventional dosage forms are the ability to enhance the vaginal mucosa permeability of MT, spread uniformly in vaginal canal especially the highly folded epithelial surfaces, prolong the residence time at the site of administration and induce MT delayed release. In conclusion, the PEHFL may be a promising delivery system for vaginal delivery of medication.

A hybrid method for identifying structural parameters is presented in this paper. All the measured and integrated responses are analysed using the identification method with a shift-average procedure to identify the stiffness and damping parameters as well as to reconstruct the unknown seismic input. To evaluate the reliability of the method, the identified structural stiffness is compared with the theoretical value computed from given material and geometric properties.

In order to maintain the optimum ecological health for the downstream of Heihe River, it is necessary to analyze the ecological water demand in the downstream of Heihe River respectively from two aspects that artificial and natural ecological water demand, then the ecological water demands in the downstream of Heihe River of current situation and 2015 are determined in this paper, which are 962 million and 1.048 billion cubic metres. At the same time, some integrated measures for repairing and improving ecology for the downstream of Heihe River, including ecological water transporting project, ecological restoration project and ecological immigrant project, etc., are put forward in this paper, so as to guarantee the ecological safe for the downstream of Heihe River. Overall, all of these have the important practical significance for protecting the local ecological environment, supporting the local sustainable economic and society development, and guiding comprehensive treatment of the Heihe River basin.

Degenerative osteoarthropathy is a kind of arthrosis induced by various factors, with main pathological feature of articular cartilage and syndesmophyte formation. In recent years, its morbidity increases year by year and tend to appear more among young people. Its curative effect has yet to be improved. This paper mainly discussed the clinical curative effect of therapy of Chinese drug iontophoresis in degenerative osteoarthropathy. A total of 296 cases of degenerative osteoarthropathy was randomly divided into two groups (with no consideration on gender): Chinese drug iontophoresis group: joint was treated by therapy of Chinese drug iontophoresis and MTZ-F experiment; frequency electrotherapy group: joint was only treated by medium frequency electrotherapy. Two groups were both treated for 30 min for one time, 1 time for a day, total for 4 weeks. Result of the study found that, total effective rate of medium frequency electrotherapy group was 74.3%, Chinese medicine iontophoresis group was 93.2%; curative effect of Chinese medicine iontophoresis group was superior to electrotherapy group. It indicates that, Chinese medicine iontophoresis has good clinical effect in the treatment of osteoarthropathy and deserves to be popularized and applied.
