Acute lung injury (ALI) is a respiratory disorder characterized by acute respiratory failure. circRNA mus musculus (mmu)-circ_0001679 was reported overexpressed in septic mouse models of ALI. Here the function of circ_0001679 in sepsis-induced ALI was investigated. In vitro models and animal models with ALI were, respectively, established in mouse lung epithelial (MLE)-12 cells and C57BL/6 mice. Pulmonary specimens were harvested for examination of the pathological changes. The pulmonary permeability was examined by wet-dry weight (W/D) ratio and lung permeability index. The levels of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-6, and IL-1β in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), the lung tissues, and the supernatant of MLE-12 cells were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay . Apoptosis was determined by flow cytometry. Bioinformatics analysis and luciferase reporter assay were used to assess the interactions between genes. We found that circ_0001679 was overexpressed in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated MLE-12 cells. circ_0001679 knockdown suppressed apoptosis and proinflammatory cytokine production induced by LPS. Moreover, circ_0001679 bound to mmu-miR-338-3p and miR-338-3p targeted dual-specificity phosphatases 16 (DUSP16). DUSP16 overexpression reversed the effect of circ_0001679 knockdown in LPS-stimulated MLE-12 cells. Furthermore, circ_0001679 knockdown attenuated lung pathological changes, reduced pulmonary microvascular permeability, and suppressed inflammation in ALI mice. Overall, circ_0001679 knockdown inhibits sepsis-induced ALI progression through the miR-338-3p/DUSP16 axis.

In this paper, a bogie system with time delay is established. The centre manifold theorem and norm form theory are used to reduce the infinite dimensional delay system to the finite dimensional ordinary differential system, and the bifurcation behaviour of the bogie system is analysed. The MatCont toolkit was used to verify the subcritical bifurcation in the system. In addition, the influence of parameters on the bifurcation diagram of the system and the influence of parameters on the critical speed of the bogie system during the hunting motion are also analysed. The surface organs mainly comprise the superficial layers of various parts of the mammalian body, including the skin, eyes, and ears, which provide solid protection against various threats to the entire body. Damage to surface organs could lead to many serious diseases or even death. Currently, despite significant advancements in this field, there remain numerous enigmas that necessitate expeditious resolution, particularly pertaining to diagnostic and therapeutic objectives. The advancements in nanomedicine have provided a significant impetus for the development of novel approaches in the diagnosis, bioimaging, and therapy of superficial organs. The aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) phenomenon, initially observed by Prof. Ben Zhong Tang, stands out due to its contrasting behavior to the aggregation‐caused quenching effect. This discovery has significantly revolutionized the field of nanomedicine for surface organs owing to its remarkable advantages. In this review of literature, we aim to provide a comprehensive summary of recent advances of AIE lumenogen (AIEgen)‐based nanoplatforms in the fields of detection, diagnosis, imaging, and therapeutics of surface organ‐related diseases and discuss their prospects in the domain. It is hoped that this review will help attract researchers' attention toward the utilization of this field for the exploration of a wider range of biomedical and clinical applications. The theophylline derivative d17 is a candidate drug for nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treatment previously developed by our group. However, it has the limitations of inadequate bioavailability, poor targeting, and insignificant therapeutic effect. Chemo-photodynamic synergistic therapy is a promising method of synergistic antitumor therapy. Herein, d17 and photosensitizer chlorin e6 (Ce6) were loaded into nanoparticles (NPs) via supramolecular self-assembly, which are self-assembled through π–π stacking and hydrogen bond interactions to form nanospheres with a size of about 85 nm and a surface charge of −33 mV. Compared with free Ce6, the d17–Ce6 NPs have good hydrophilicity and stability and can effectively accumulate in NSCLC tumor tissues due to the enhancement and retention effect. More significantly, the d17–Ce6 NPs can synergistically inhibit tumor growth compared with other treatment groups with no obvious toxicity. Taken together, the d17–Ce6 NPs may be an effective carrier-free nanodrug for the chemo-photodynamic synergistic treatment of NSCLC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

According to the sport-specific model of self-talk, self-talk dissonance occurs when a mismatch between gut feelings/impressions and self-talk creates discomfort and disrupts performance. The purpose of this study was to test the sport-specific model of self-talk's dissonance hypothesis by examining the effects of self-talk on introverts (n = 28), who may be uncomfortable speaking their self-talk aloud, and on extraverts (n = 30). Each participant completed a dart-throwing target task using (a) overt and (b) covert self-talk in a counterbalanced order. Results of analysis of covariance indicated a significant interaction that supported the sport-specific model of self-talk's dissonance hypothesis. Introverts performed better when using covert (private) self-talk, and extraverts performed better when using overt self-talk. The results of this research show that self-talk dissonance adversely affects performance and suggests that tailoring self-talk interventions by incorporating personal factors into intervention designs could enhance intervention effectiveness and performance outcomes. With the increasing speed of trains, the lateral vibration of the car body becomes violent and the ride comfort becomes worse. This study adopts semi-active control techniques to reduce the excessive vibration of the car body. A novel control strategy and its extended control strategy, Displacement-Velocity (DV) and Sky-hook (SH)-DV, are presented and applied to the magnetorheological (MR) dampers. The semi-active suspension system of MR dampers is integrated into a quarter model and a 17 degrees of freedom (DOF) train model instead of the passive suspension, respectively. The theoretical simulations are performed and compared with the SH control strategy. Furthermore, the hardware in the loop (HIL) test based on MR dampers is built and experimental research is carried out. In the theoretical simulations and experimental research, multiple service conditions are adopted, and the dynamic performance of highspeed trains is evaluated. Theoretical and experimental results indicate that the new control strategies can significantly suppress the vibration of the car body, and they can ensure the safety and stability of the high-speed train. Moreover, their control and robust performance (about time delay) are better than that of the SH, especially the DV.
