We present a comprehensive study using dissipative particle dynamics simulations to investigate phase separation kinetics (PSK) in three-dimensional (3d) polymeric fluids under random photo-illumination. We consider two scenarios: polymer blends with active radicals at one end of each immiscible chain and block copolymer (BCP) melts with photosensitive bonds linking incompatible blocks. The phase separation (PS) is induced by temperature quench of the initial homogeneously mixed system. Simultaneously, the system experiences random photo-illumination, simulated by two concurrent random events: (a) the recombination of active radicals in polymer blends and (b) the breaking of photosensitive bonds in BCP chains. Variations in the bond-breaking probability, Pb, mimic the change in light intensity. The length scale follows power law growth, R(t) ∼ tϕ, where ϕ represents the growth exponent. Increasing Pb results in a gradual transition in growth kinetics from micro-PS to macro-PS, accompanied by corresponding transition probabilities for both systems. Micro-PSK dominates the evolution process at low Pb values. The scaling functions exhibit data overlap for most scaled distances, indicating the statistical self-similarity of evolving patterns. Our study enhances the understanding of PSK in polymeric fluids, revealing the impact of photosensitive bonds and active radicals. Air refractive index alteration is an important research technique used to examine blast density and pressure. However, precise time-course measurements of refractive index changes at a fixed point caused by air blast waves are challenging due to the necessity for high precision and noise immunity. This study proposes a dual-probe, dual-frequency fiber-optic displacement interferometer that achieves nanometer-level accuracy and can tolerate light intensity fluctuations and transmission-fiber interference. The specially designed sensor enables the measurement of refractive index at a fixed point resulting from explosive-driven air blast waves, further allowing for obtaining the pressure and density information. This study investigated the use of endophyte-assisted Tillandsia brachycaulos to enhance formaldehyde removal in indoor environments. A formaldehyde-degrading endophyte from the root of Epipremnum aureum , Pseudomonas plecoglossicida , was identified and used for inoculation. Among the inoculation methods, spraying proved to be the most effective, resulting in a significant 35 % increase in formaldehyde removal after 36 hours. The results of the light exposure experiment (3000 Lux) demonstrate that an increase in light intensity reduces the efficiency of the Tillandsia brachycaulos -microbial system in degrading formaldehyde. In a 15-day formaldehyde fumigation experiment at 2 ppm in a normal indoor environment, the inoculated Tillandsia brachycaulos exhibited removal efficiency ranging from 42.53 % to 66.13 %, while the uninoculated declined from 31.62 % to 3.17 %. The Pseudomonas plecoglossicida (referred to as PP-1) became the predominant bacteria within the Tillandsia brachycaulos after fumigation. Moreover, the endophytic inoculation effectively increased the resistance and tolerance of Tillandsia brachycaulos to formaldehyde, as evidenced by lower levels of hydroxyl radical, malondialdehyde (MDA), free protein, and peroxidase activity (POD), as well as higher chlorophyll content compared to uninoculated Tillandsia brachycaulos. These findings indicate that the combination of endophytic bacteria and Tillandsia brachycaulos has significant potential for improving indoor air quality. Cyanobacteria are oxygen-evolving prokaryotes that can be engineered for biofuel production from solar energy, CO 2, and water. Isobutanol (IB) has the potential to serve as an alternative fuel and important chemical feedstock. The research involves engineering Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803, for photosynthetic isobutanol production via the 2-keto-acid pathway and their cultivation in lab-scale photobioreactors. This synthetic pathway involves the heterologous expression of two enzymes, α-ketoisovalerate decarboxylase (Kivd) and alcohol dehydrogenase (Yqhd), under a strong light-inducible promotor, psbA2, known to show increased gene expression under high light. The use of psbA2 could be a valuable strategy for isobutanol production as economic scaling up demands the utilization of natural sunlight, which also provides very high light intensity at midday, facilitating increased production. The study reports isobutanol production from engineered strains containing both pathway genes and with only kivd. In shake flask studies, the highest isobutanol titre of 75 mg L−1 (12th day) was achieved from an engineered strain DM12 under optimized light intensity. DM12 was cultivated in a 2 L flat panel photobioreactor, resulting in a maximum isobutanol titre of 371.8 mg L−1 (10th day) with 2 % CO 2 and 200 μmol photons m−2 s−1. Cultivation of DM12 in a photobioreactor under mimic diurnal sunlight demonstrated the highest productivity of 39 mg L−1 day−1 with the maximum titre of 308.5 mg L−1 (9th day). To investigate the effects of ocean acidification (OA) and nitrogen limitation on macroalgae growth and photophysiological responses, Gracilariopsis lemaneiformis was cultured under two main conditions: ambient (Low CO2, LC, 390 matm) and CO2 enriched (High CO2, HC, 1000 matm), with low (LN, 7 mmol L-1) and high (HN, 56 mmol L-1) nitrate. High CO2 levels decreased growth under both LN and HN treatments. HC reduced Chl a, carotenoids, phycoerythrin (PE), and phycocyanin (PC) under HN conditions, while only Chl a decreased under LN conditions. NO3 - uptake rate was restricted under LN compared to HN, while HC enhanced it under HN. Net photosynthetic O2 evolution rates did not differ between CO2 and nitrate treatments. Dark respiration rates were higher under HN, further boosted by HC. The stimulated effective quantum yield (Y(II)) corresponded to decreased non-photochemical quenching (NPQ) under HN conditions. Nitrate, not CO2, showed significant effects on the relative electron transport rate (rETRmax), light use efficiency (a) and saturation light intensity (Ik) that with lowered rETRmax and a under LN culture. The three-chamber septic tank has become essential in the middle rural areas of China, although its drainage serves as a potential source of groundwater contamination. A photosynthetic electrochemical system using Chlorella vulgaris was developed to treat synthetic sewage, and the impact of environmental factors on treatment performance was investigated. The results showed that the removal efficiencies of chemical oxygen demand (COD), NH4+-N and PO43−-P reached maximum value under 1.00 times/day−1 hydraulic circulation, 0.3·g L−1 initial algae dosage and 4,350 Lux light intensity. When the optimal condition were applied to treat the effluent of three-chamber septic tank, the removal efficiencies of COD, NH4+-N , and PO43−-P were 61.95%, 88.32%, and 95.36%, respectively. The analogies between the mammalian primary visual cortex and the structure of CNNs used for image classification tasks suggest that the introduction of an additional preliminary convolutional module inspired by the mathematical modeling of the precortical neuronal circuits can improve robustness with respect to global light intensity and contrast variations in the input images. A multi-channel computational ghost imaging (GI) method based on multi-scale speckle optimization is proposed. We not only reduce imaging time and enhance imaging quality but also reduce interference among different channels. Using one bucket detector to receive total light intensity, the color speckle is formed by combining components obtained through the singular value decomposition of three self-designed multi-scale measurement matrices. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that our designed method contributes to reducing imaging time and enhancing imaging quality, achieving improved visual quality even at low sampling rates. • There is a growing implementation of device-based population surveillance of physical activity and sedentary behavior in the Nordic countries. • So far, none of the countries have collected device-based data on pre-schoolers or older adults in a national sample. • Steps per day and mean level of moderate-to-high intensity physical activity are similar across the countries and above the current recommendations for health benefits. • The amount of sedentary time is high in all Nordic countries. • Type of device, placement, and data procedures vary both within and between the Nordic countries, and more standardized data collection is needed for better comparisons. The purpose of this scoping review was to summarize and describe the methodology and results from population-based studies of physical activity and sedentary time measured with devices in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden) and published in 2000 or later. A systematic search was carried out in PubMed and Web of Science in June 2023 using predefined search terms. Fourteen unique research projects or surveillance studies were identified. Additionally, 2 surveillance studies published by national agencies were included, resulting in a total of 16 studies for inclusion. National surveillance systems exist in Finland and Norway, with regular survey waves in school-aged children/adolescents and adults. In Denmark, recent nationally representative data have been collected in school children only. So far, Sweden has no regular national surveillance system using device-based data collection. No studies were found from Iceland. The first study was conducted in 2001 and the most recent in 2022, with most data collected from 2016 to date. Five studies included children/adolescents 6–18 years, no study included preschoolers. In total 11 studies included adults, of which 8 also covered older adults. No study focused specifically on older adults. The analytical sample size ranged from 205 to 27,890. Detailed methodology is presented, such as information on sampling strategy, device type and placement, wear protocols, and physical activity classification schemes. Levels of physical activity and sedentary time in children/adolescents, adults, and older adults across the Nordic countries are presented. A growing implementation of device-based population surveillance of physical activity and sedentary behavior in the Nordic countries has been identified. The variety of devices, placement, and data procedures both within and between the Nordic countries highlights the challenges when it comes to comparing study outcomes as well as the need for more standardized data collection. Algal-based waste stabilisation ponds (WSP) are a common wastewater treatment system for small communities but have poor phosphorus removal. Under certain conditions algae in WSPs will perform 'luxury uptake' increasing their phosphorus content to over 3% (gP/gSS) by storing polyphosphate. For the first time in the literature this paper presents a systematic study which determines the conditions needed to maximise phosphorus accumulation within WSP biomass taking into account the interactions between key variables. The key variables of temperature, phosphorus concentration, light intensity, mixing intensity, organic load, and pH were evaluated in 40 batch factorial experiments using a WSP algal culture. All six variables examined had significant main effects or interactions on the phosphorus content of the biomass. These were incorporated into a regression equation which was successfully validated against independent data sets from the literature. The conditions required to maximise the phosphorus content of the biomass were predicted for both summer (high light and high temperature) and winter (low light and low temperature) scenarios. The required conditions were revealed to be high phosphorus concentration, high mixing intensity, no supplementary CO2 addition, and low organic load. Interestingly, these conditions were consistent for both summer and winter suggesting that year-round treatment is possible. Practical methods of achieving these conditions were proposed. While further work will be needed to evaluate the effect of growth and potential influence of algal species, the findings presented provide a vital step towards developing a new phosphorus removal treatment process based on an enhanced understanding of environmental biotechnology. As an energy-free cooling technique, radiative cooling has garnered significant attention in the field of energy conservation. However, traditional radiative cooling films often possess static optical properties and their inherent opacity limits their applications in building such as windows. Therefore, there exists a requirement for passive radiative cooling films endowed with adjustable transmittance. Here we report the porous block copolymer films with self-adjustable optical transmittance and passive radiative cooling. In a result, the film exhibited a high solar reflectance (0.3–2.5 µm) of 96.9% and a high infrared emittance (8–13 µm) of 97.9%. Outdoor experiments demonstrated that the film surface temperature was 6.6 °C lower than ambient temperature, with a cooling power of 104.8 W·m−2. In addition, the film's transmittance can be regulated by altering the polarity of the postprocessing solvent, providing an effective approach for regulating indoor light intensity and thermal balance, thereby enhancing the applicability of radiative cooling. BACKGROUND: Leaf feeders, such as Spodoptera frugiperda and Spodoptera litura, and stem borers Ostrinia furnacalis and Chilo suppressalis, occupy two different niches and are well adapted to their particular environments. Borer larvae burrow and inhabit the interior of stems, which are relatively dark. By contrast, the larvae of leaf feeders are exposed to sunlight during feeding. We therefore designed series of experiments to evaluate the effect of light intensity (0, 2000, and 10 000 lx) on these pests with different feeding modes. RESULTS: The development of all four pests was significantly delayed at 0 lx. Importantly, light intensity affected the development of both male and female larvae of borers, but only significantly affected male larvae of leaf feeders. Furthermore, the proportion of female offspring of leaf feeders increased with increasing light intensity (S. frugiperda: 33.89%, 42.26%, 57.41%; S. litura: 38.90%, 51.75%, 65.08%), but no significant differences were found in stem borers. This research also revealed that the survival rate of female leaf feeders did not vary across light intensities, but that of males decreased with increasing light intensity (S. frugiperda: 97.78%, 85.86%, 61.21%; S. litura: 95.83%, 73.54%, 58.99%). CONCLUSION: These results improve our understanding of how light intensity affects sex differences in important lepidopteran pests occupying different feeding niches and their ecological interactions with abiotic factors in agroecosystems. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. This paper investigates the effects of nano-dome anti-reflective coatings (ND-ARC) and nano-cone anti-reflective coatings (NC-ARC) on the optical characteristics of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). By applying anti-reflective coatings on an OLED substrate surface, the glass–air interface reduces reflections, thus boosting the light intensity. The finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulation approach and Fresnel theory were leveraged to model the OLEDs and to study the effects of ND-ARC and NC-ARC on the glass–air interface. To enhance parameters such as thickness, refractive indices, pitch, and anti-reflective coating layer height, the Fresnel principle was used. The numerical calculations show that the coupling efficiency of the ND-ARC-coated OLED is improved compared to that of the NC-ARC-coated OLED. This study examines the impact of village fund (VF) transfers on rural welfare in Indonesia. We use the monthly night-time light (NTL) dataset as a proxy for rural welfare for around 75,000 villages from 2014 to 2019. Using Regression Discontinuity in Time (RDiT), we find that VF positively impacts rural welfare, as the value of Average Light Intensity (ALI) increases by almost 97% after the implementation of VF. The highest influence of VF transfers is revealed to be in underdeveloped villages. This indicates preliminary evidence of regional convergence, where poor villages grow faster than developed villages. In addition to the RDiT, the Difference in Difference (DiD) estimations show that the rural welfare of villages that received VF early in 2015 was 19% higher than those without VF in 2015. BACKGROUND: Aquaponic systems are sustainable processes of managing water and nutrients for food production. An innovate nutrient‐efficient catfish‐based (Clarias gariepinus) aquaponics system was implemented for producing two cultivars of two leafy vegetables largely consumed worldwide: lamb's lettuce (Valerianella locusta var. Favor and Valerianella locusta var. de Hollande) and arugula (Eruca vesicaria var. sativa and Eruca sativa). Different growing treatments (4 × 2 factorial design) were applied to plants of each cultivar, grown at two light intensities (120 and 400 μmol m−2 s−1). During growth, several morphological characteristics (root length, plant height, leaf number, foliage diameter and biggest leaf length) were measured. At harvest, plants were weighed and examined qualitatively in terms of greenness and health status. Additionally, leaf extracts were obtained and used to determine total phenolic contents, antioxidant capacities, and levels of cytotoxicity to Caco‐2 intestinal model cells. RESULTS: After a 5‐week growth period, both lamb's lettuce cultivars presented high levels of greenness and health status, at both light intensities, particularly the var. de Hollande that also showed higher average performance in terms of plant morphology. In turn, arugula cultivars showed lower levels of greenness and health status, especially the cultivar E. vesicaria var. sativa submitted to direct sunlight during growth. In addition, plant specimens submitted to higher levels of light intensity showed higher contents in antioxidants/polyphenols. Cultivars with a higher content in antioxidants/polyphenols led to higher Caco‐2 cell viability. CONCLUSION: For successful industrial implementation of the aquaponics technology, different and optimized acclimatizing conditions must be applied to different plant species and cultivars. © 2024 The Authors. An innovative elastic crystal based on barbituric acid derivatives (HBDT), which uniquely alters its fluorescence intensity under light exposure is developed. This crystal exhibits significant bending under 365 nm, 450 nm, white light, and sunlight while retaining its elasticity post‐bending. The photomechanical effect of this crystal is driven by intermolecular [2+2] cycloaddition reactions, resulting in light‐activated fluorescence enhancement. AbstractThis study presents a novel interdisciplinary approach for characterizing the optical properties of nanostructured silver films, combining methodologies from polarized light spectroscopy (PLS) and mobile app-based spectroscopic image detection. Silver nanofilms were deposited using electron beam evaporation (EBE) and subsequently analyzed for their absorbance across the visible light spectrum through PLS spectroscopy. The innovative aspect of this study lies in the validation of PLS spectral data using a mobile application developed with MIT App Inventor, which analyzes the intensity of light beams captured in images taken by a smartphone. The findings indicate that the silver nanofilm exhibits peak absorbance at approximately 400 nm within the violet region, corroborated by the mobile app’s data, which shows the lowest light intensity. However, discrepancies were observed from 500 to 600 nm, likely due to ambient light interferences and inherent optical phenomena such as diffraction, reflection, and refraction. Despite these deviations, the app’s readings closely align with the PLS data, supporting the film’s selective absorption properties. This study demonstrates the potential of this multidisciplinary technique in nanomaterial research, highlighting the application of nanotechnology in material science and the transformative potential of integrating software engineering for in-depth material characterization. In this paper, an attempt has been made to investigate a one-dimensional photonic crystal containing N-doped germanium semiconductor as a nonlinear defect layer with an intensity-dependent refractive index, silica (SiO2) and zinc selenide (ZnSe) as crystal cells. Bistability of the TE polarization of the transmission spectrum due to the nonlinear property of the defect layer is investigated by the transfer matrix method (TMM). The refractive index of the germanium nonlinear semiconductor layer is simultaneously depending on the doping density and the intensity of the irradiated light. The changes in both factors are investigated. The impact on the transmission spectrum of the bistability threshold due to the change in the thickness of the defect layer, the thickness of other layers of crystal cells, and the angle of incident light are investigated. The nonlinear effect caused by light intensity as well as doped density effect on the germanium nonlinear semiconductor medium is used simultaneously. Background: Ripeness is a phenotype that significantly impacts the quality of fruits, constituting a crucial factor in the cultivation and harvesting processes. Manual detection methods and experimental analysis, however, are inefficient and costly. Results: In this study, we propose a lightweight and efficient melon ripeness detection method, MRD-YOLO, based on an improved object detection algorithm. The method combines a lightweight backbone network, MobileNetV3, a design paradigm Slim-neck, and a Coordinate Attention mechanism. Additionally, we have created a large-scale melon dataset sourced from a greenhouse based on ripeness. This dataset contains common complexities encountered in the field environment, such as occlusions, overlapping, and varying light intensities. MRD-YOLO achieves a mean Average Precision of 97.4% on this dataset, achieving accurate and reliable melon ripeness detection. Moreover, the method demands only 4.8 G FLOPs and 2.06 M parameters, representing 58.5% and 68.4% of the baseline YOLOv8n model, respectively. It comprehensively outperforms existing methods in terms of balanced accuracy and computational efficiency. Furthermore, it maintains real-time inference capability in GPU environments and demonstrates exceptional inference speed in CPU environments. The lightweight design of MRD-YOLO is anticipated to be deployed in various resource constrained mobile and edge devices, such as picking robots. Particularly noteworthy is its performance when tested on two melon datasets obtained from the Roboflow platform, achieving a mean Average Precision of 85.9%. This underscores its excellent generalization ability on untrained data. Acquiring multi-dimensional optical information, such as intensity, spectrum, polarization, and phase, can significantly enhance the performance of photodetectors. Incorporating these dimensions allows for improved image contrast, enhanced recognition capabilities, reduced interference, and better adaptation to complex environments. However, the challenge lies in obtaining these dimensions on a single photodetector. Here we propose a misaligned unipolar barrier photodetector based on van der Waals heterojunction to address this issue. This structure enables spectral detection by switching between two absorbing layers with different cut-off wavelengths for dual-band detection. For polarization detection, anisotropic semiconductors like black phosphorus and black arsenic phosphorus inherently possess polarization-detection capabilities without additional complex elements. By manipulating the crystal direction of these materials during heterojunction fabrication, the device becomes sensitive to incident light at different polarization angles. This research showcases the potential of the misaligned unipolar barrier photodetector in capturing multi-dimensional optical information, paving the way for next-generation photodetectors. A snapshot multi-wavelength birefringence imaging measurement method was proposed in this study. The RGB-LEDs at wavelengths 463 nm, 533 nm, and 629 nm were illuminated with circularly polarized light after passing through a circular polarizer. The transmitted light through the birefringent sample was captured by a color polarization camera. A single imaging process captured light intensity in four polarization directions (0°, 45°, 90°, and 135°) for each of the three RGB spectral wavelength channels, and subsequently measured the first three elements of Stokes vectors (S0, S1, and S2) after the sample. The birefringence retardance and fast-axis azimuthal angle were determined simultaneously. An experimental setup was constructed, and polarization response matrices were calibrated for each spectral wavelength channel to ensure the accurate detection of Stokes vectors. A polymer true zero-order quarter-wave plate was employed to validate measurement accuracy and repeatability. Additionally, stress-induced birefringence in a PMMA arch-shaped workpiece was measured both before and after the application of force. Experimental results revealed that the repeatability of birefringence retardance and fast-axis azimuthal angle was better than 0.67 nm and 0.08°, respectively. Summary: Flowering is a vital agronomic trait that determines the economic value of most ornamental plants. The flowering time of rose (Rosa spp.) is photoperiod insensitive and is thought to be tightly controlled by light intensity, although the detailed molecular mechanism remains unclear.Here, we showed that rose plants flower later under low‐light (LL) intensity than under high‐light (HL) intensity, which is mainly related to the stability of PHYTOCHROME‐INTERACTING FACTORs (RcPIFs) mediated by OPEN STOMATA 1‐Like (RcOST1L) under different light intensity regimes.We determined that HL conditions trigger the rapid phosphorylation of RcPIFs before their degradation. A yeast two‐hybrid screen identified the kinase RcOST1L as interacting with RcPIF4. Moreover, RcOST1L positively regulated rose flowering and directly phosphorylated RcPIF4 on serine 198 to promote its degradation under HL conditions. Light is a key environmental factor regulating reproduction in avians. However, the mechanism of light intensity regulating ovarian development is still unclear. In this study, 5-week-old (5 wk) partridge broiler breeders were randomly divided into a low-light-intensity group (LL group) and a natural-light-intensity group (NL group) (n = 100). In the rearing period (5 wk to 22 wk), the light intensity of the LL group and NL group were 0.41 ± 0.05 lux and 45.39 ± 1.09 lux, and in the laying period (23 wk to 32 wk) they were 23.92 ± 0.06 lux and 66.93 ± 0.76 lux, respectively. Samples were collected on 22 wk and 32 wk. The results showed that the LL group had a later age at first egg and a longer laying period than the NL group. Serum P4 and LH levels in the LL group were higher than in the NL group on 22 wk (p < 0.05). On 32 wk, P4, E2, LH and FSH levels in the LL group were lower than in the NL group (p < 0.05). Ovarian transcriptomics and metabolomics identified 128 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) and 467 differential metabolites (DMs) on 22 wk; 155 DEGs and 531 DMs on 32 wk between two groups. An enrichment analysis of these DEGs and DMs identified key signaling pathways, including steroid hormone biosynthesis, neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction. In these pathways, genes such as CYP21A1, SSTR2, and NPY may regulate the synthesis of metabolites, including tryptamine, triglycerides, and phenylalanine. The self-powered PVP-Co@C nanofibers/n-GaAs heterojunction photodetector (HJPD) was fabricated by electrospinning of the nanofibers onto GaAs. An excellent rectification ratio of 6.60 × 106 was obtained from I – V measurements of the device in the dark. The I – V measurements of the fabricated device under 365 nm, 395 nm and 850 nm lights, as well as I – V measurements in visible light depending on the light intensity, were performed. The HJPD demonstrated excellent photodetection performance in terms of a good responsivity of ∼225 mA W−1 (at −1.72 V) and at zero bias, an impressive detectivity of 6.28 × 1012 Jones, and a high on/off ratio of 8.38 × 105, all at 365 nm wavelength. In addition, the maximum external quantum efficiency and NPDR values were 3495% (V = −1.72 V) and 2.60 × 1010 W−1 (V = 0.0 V), respectively, while the minimum NEP value was ∼10−14 W.Hz−1/2 for 365 nm at V = 0.V volts. Humans exhibit consistent color preferences that are often described as a curvilinear pattern across hues. The recent literature posits that color preference is linked to the preference for objects or other entities associated with those colors. However, many studies examine this preference using isoluminant colors, which don't reflect the natural viewing experience typically influenced by different light intensities. The inclusion of random luminance levels (luminance noise) in chromatic stimuli may provide an initial step towards assessing color preference as it is presented in the real world. Employing mosaic stimuli, this study aimed to evaluate the influence of luminance noise on human color preference. Thirty normal trichromats engaged in a two-alternative forced-choice paradigm, indicating their color preferences between presented pairs. The chromatic stimuli included saturated versions of 8 standard hues, presented in mosaics with varying diameters under different luminance noise conditions. Results indicated that the inclusion of luminance noise increased color preference across all hues, specifically under the high luminance noise range, while the curvilinear pattern remained unchanged. Finally, women exhibit a greater sensitivity to the presence of luminance noise than men, potentially due to differences between men and women in aesthetic evaluation strategies. Background: Numerous insect species undertake long-distance migrations on an enormous scale, with great implications for ecosystems. Given that take-off is the point where it all starts, whether and how the external light and internal circadian rhythm are involved in regulating the take-off behaviour remains largely unknown. Herein, we explore this issue in a migratory pest, Cnaphalocrocis medinalis, via behavioural observations and RNAi experiments. Results: The results showed that C. medinalis moths took off under conditions where the light intensity gradually weakened to 0.1 lx during the afternoon or evening, and the take-off proportions under full spectrum or blue light were significantly higher than that under red and green light. The ultraviolet-A/blue light–sensitive type 1 cryptochrome gene (Cmedcry1) was significantly higher in take-off moths than that of non-take-off moths. In contrast, the expression of the light-insensitive CRY2 (Cmedcry2) and circadian genes (Cmedtim and Cmedper) showed no significant differences. After silencing Cmedcry1, the take-off proportion significantly decreased. Thus, Cmedcry1 is involved in the decrease in light intensity induced take-off behaviour in C. medinalis. Honeybee drones' only known task is to mate with a virgin queen. Apart from their mating behaviour, their ecology has been little studied, especially in comparison to honeybee females. Previous knowledge is primarily based on short-term direct observations at single experimental hives, rarely, if ever, addressing the effect of drones' genetic origin. Here, Radio Frequency Identification Technology was utilised to gather drone and worker bee lifetime data of Apis mellifera mellifera and Apis mellifera x (hybrid Buckfast) colonies over one mating season (spring and summer) with the ultimate goal to investigate differences at subspecies level. This technique enabled continuous monitoring of tagged bees at the hive entrance and recording of individuals' movement directions. The results confirmed that spring-born drones survive longer than summer-born drones and that they generally live longer than worker bees. Drones' peak activity occurred in the afternoon while worker bees showed more even activity levels throughout the day. Earlier orientation flights than usually reported for drones were observed. In summer, mating flights were practiced before reaching sexual maturity (at 12 days of age). Differences were found between Apis m. mellifera and Buckfast drones, where Apis m. mellifera showed later drone production in spring, but significantly earlier first activities outside the hive in summer and a later peak in diurnal activity. Additionally, Apis m. mellifera flew more in higher light intensities and windy conditions and performed significantly longer flights than Buckfast drones. The observed differences in drone ecology indicate the existence of a local adaptation of the native subspecies Apis m. mellifera to environmental conditions in southwestern Sweden. Light is one of the important factors in Chinese soft-shelled turtle culture. The study investigated the effects of light intensity on growth performance, stress, immune-related parameters, and antioxidant enzyme activities of Chinese soft-shelled turtles under the light environment of lighting the basking area in intensive farming. Four degrees of light intensities with three replicates were used, including LL (low light intensity, 6.56 ± 0.14 W/m2), ML (medium light intensity, 18.11 ± 0.54 W/m2), HL (high light intensity, 37.81 ± 2.85 W/m2), and control group (0 W/m2). The experimental photoperiod was fixed as 12 L: 12 D, and the water temperature was controlled at 30 ± 2 °C. After 152-day rearing, it was found that the growth performance of Chinese soft-shelled turtles in the LL group was significantly higher than that in the HL group. The serum cortisol level of turtles in the LL group was significantly lower than that in the HL group, indicating lower stress in the LL group compared to other groups. The content of lysozyme (LZM) was highest in the LL group, the content of acid phosphatase (ACP) in the LL group was significantly higher than that in the control group and the HL group, and the content of nitric oxide (NO) in the LL group was significantly higher than that in the HL group, implying that turtles in the LL group had the best immune performance. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) activity in the liver of turtles in the LL group were significantly lower than that in the control and HL groups. Further, the catalase (CAT) activity of turtles in the LL group was the lowest among the treatments. Malonaldehyde (MDA) content was significantly lower in the LL group than in the control and HL groups. Therefore, considering the growth performance and physiological status of Chinese soft-shelled turtles, it is recommended to provide a low intensity of light when lighting the basking area only, and the optimum light intensity for the growth of Chinese soft-shelled turtles is between 7.07 and 11.50 W/m2. Light availability and habitat complexity are two key drivers of community assembly. Urbanisation has been shown to affect both, with important consequences to ecological communities. On the intertidal, for instance, studies have shown that light intensity is greater on natural rocky shores than on less complex artificial habitats (seawalls), though different habitats can also experience similar light intensities, for example when shaded by urban structures. Understanding therefore how these factors individually, and combined, affect communities is important to understand the mechanisms driving changes in community structure, and consequently provide solutions to tackle the increasing homogenisation of habitats and lightscapes in urbanised spaces through smart infrastructure designs. Here, we assessed how different light levels affect the recruitment of communities in rock pools and on emergent rock on an intertidal rocky shore. We cleared 30 patches of emergent rock and 30 rock pools and manipulated light using shades with different light transmissions (full light, procedural control, 75%, 35%, and 15% light transmission, full shade) and assessed mobile and sessile communities monthly for 6 months. Effects of reducing light levels were generally stronger on rock than in pools. Fully shaded plots supported double the amount of mobile organisms than plots in full sunlight, in both habitats. Algal cover was higher in pools compared to rock, and at intermediate light levels, but effects varied with site. This study highlights the importance of variable light conditions and different habitats for rocky shore communities, which should be considered in future coastal developments to retain natural biodiversity. The variation in light within the environment triggers morphophysiological changes in plants and can lead to distinct responses in sun-exposed or shaded plants to glyphosate. The response of Urochloa genotypes subjected to desiccation with 2160, 1622.4, 1080, 524.4, 273.6, and 0.0 g ha−1 of glyphosate was evaluated in full sun and shade conditions. Cayana grass, mulato II grass, and sabiá grass – hybrids recently launched on the market, in addition to palisade grass and congo grass were evaluated. Under full sun, we achieved control of congo grass using 1080 g ha−1 of glyphosate, while the other grasses required 2160 g ha−1. In the low-light environment, sabiá grass was effectively controlled with 524.4 g ha−1 of glyphosate, but the other grasses needed 273.6 g ha−1. In shading, compared to full sun, the savings with glyphosate were 75 and 76% for the control of congo grass and sabiá grass, respectively, and 87% for palisade grass, mulato II grass and cayana grass. Increasing glyphosate doses leads to a decline in the quantum efficiency of photosystem II and in the electron transport rate, especially in the shade. An asymmetric road lighting concept known as Probeam is investigated in this study for energy efficiency, contrast and visibility of vertical objects and road markings in highway lighting. Calculations based on road lighting standards, road surface and markings reflection characteristics and typical Dutch highway geometry, reveal that Probeam lighting improves the average visibility of objects and road markings over symmetrical lighting, however, with a 14% increase in luminous flux as per current road lighting standards. This increase in luminous flux is attributed to the symmetrical lighting's advantage in specular road surface reflection, leading to a reduction in the Counterbeam lobe size in the light intensity distribution when designed to meet the current road luminance requirement. Notably, by designing the Probeam luminaire to match symmetrical lighting's average visibility of vertical objects, for removing the road luminance requirement and dimming the luminaire, energy consumption is reduced by 52%. Halving the Probeam luminaire's mounting height leads to an impressive 82% energy savings. The study highlights the possibility of a balance in energy use and road safety using the Probeam concept, considering advancements in road luminaires and retroreflective materials. Cyanobacteria are important targets for biotechnological applications due to their ability to grow in a wide variety of environments, rapid growth rates, and tractable genetic systems. They and their bioproducts can be used as bioplastics, biofertilizers, and in carbon capture and produce important secondary metabolites that can be used as pharmaceuticals. However, the photosynthetic process in cyanobacteria can be limited by a wide variety of environmental factors such as light intensity and wavelength, exposure to UV light, nutrient limitation, temperature, and salinity. Photodetectors have a wide range of applications across various fields. Self-powered photodetectors that do not require external energy have garnered significant attention. The photoelectrochemical type of photodetector is a self-powered device that is both simple to fabricate and offers high performance. However, developing photoelectrochemical photodetectors with superior quality and performance remains a significant challenge. The electrolyte, which is a key component in these detectors, must maintain extensive contact with the semiconductor without degrading its material quality and efficiently catalyze the redox reactions of photogenerated electrons and holes, while also facilitating rapid charge carrier transport. In this study, α -Ga2O3 nanorod arrays were synthesized via a cost-effective hydrothermal method to achieve a self-powered solar-blind photodetector. The impacts of different electrolytes—Na2SO4, NaOH, and Na2CO3—on the photodetector was investigated. Ultimately, a self-powered photodetector with Na2SO4 as the electrolyte demonstrated a stable photoresponse, with the maximum responsivity of 0.2 mA/W at 262 nm with the light intensity of 3.0 mW/cm2, and it exhibited rise and decay times of 0.16 s and 0.10 s, respectively. The α -Ga2O3 nanorod arrays and Na2SO4 electrolyte provided a rapid pathway for the transport of photogenerated carriers and the built-in electric field at the semiconductor–liquid heterojunction interface, which was largely responsible for the effective separation of photogenerated electron–hole pairs that provided the outstanding performance of our photodetector. The prediction and numerical modeling of cyanobacterial outbreaks have emerged as a significant research topic. Presently, in-situ and remote sensing observations serve as the primary foundation for numerical modeling. Owing to the influence of local environmental factors on fieldwork-based models, cross-sectional comparisons among distinct models remain challenging. In this study, three tanks (height: 1.8m) were installed in the laboratory to represent the structure of vertical zone in shallow lakes, and Microcystis aeruginosa culture was observed under a 12/12 light cycle for one month maintaining constant conditions. The findings indicate that light intensity, duration, and light-dark cycling all impact vertical migration of M. aeruginosa. Microcystis aeruginosa exposed to low light intensities (18 to 39 μmol photons m-2 s-1) migrated more rapidly than those under high light intensities (447 to 466 μmol photons m-2 s-1); cells subjected to extended illumination (over 8 hours) exhibited stable distribution patterns; and, in darkness, cyanobacteria that were in high light intensity areas responded more swiftly compared to those that were in low light intensity areas. The findings suggest that M. aeruginosa vertical migration is continuous and dynamic, and not vitally light intensity dependent. To effectively conduct cross-sectional comparisons of models across lakes, it is imperative to thoroughly consider the diurnal variation of vertical migration of M. aeruginosa. ZnO/Ag nanocomposite was prepared via in situ method by using silver nitrate and ZnSO4 as the raw material. ZnO and ZnO/Ag were characterized by utilizing SEM, UV-vis, XRD, FTIR, and so on. The photocataytic degradation behaviors of ZnO and ZnO/Ag for trimethylamine (TEA) in air and solution were studied. The results indicated that ZnO/Ag had better photocatalytic degradation properties on trimethylamine under the condition of 0.06 g catalyst, 2 h photocatalytic time, and 15 A light intensity, and the degradation rates of TEA were up to 44 and 67% in air and solution, respectively. Furtherly, ZnO and ZnO/Ag also indicated perfect photocatalytic degradation properties toward to organic compounds in wastewater. Especially, the harmless treatment of triethylamine was achieved by using photocatalytic degradation method that provided a novel method for treating triethylamine. In ultrafast laser writing, and light‐matter interaction in general, it has been widely accepted that the higher the energy density, the stronger material changes occur, unless thermal effects are involved. Here, this belief is challenged by demonstrating that a decreased energy density—achieved through increased scanning speed and without thermal accumulation—surprisingly leads to a more significant modification of silica glass, i.e, a higher increase in the isotropic refractive index or greater birefringence of nanopore‐mediated modification. This counterintuitive phenomenon is attributed to the nonlocality of light‐matter interaction at tight focusing, where the intensity gradient of the light beam and associated diffusion of charge carriers play a critical role in increasing material modification. Understanding the factors that control the growth of macrophytes is of paramount importance in predicting their distribution and management. This study describes the effect of short-term variation of pH, light intensity (10–390 µmol m−2 s−1), and temperature (15–30 °C) over the gross photosynthetic rate, respiration rate and net photosynthetic rate (NP) of Egeria najas in nutrient limited condition, and high nutrient availability. The light and dark bottles method was utilized to measure photosynthesis. The pH increase from 4.0 to 8.5 promoted a continuous decrease in NP. Temperature had an important effect on the NP value, with variations in Q10 from 1.42 to 2.23. Although maximum NP rates occurred under low light intensity (158–204 µmol m−2 s−1), in short-term, the availability of light can represent the main factor controlling photosynthesis in rooted E. najas; nevertheless, dissolved nutrients can highly induce the growth of free-float specimens. For antinuclear antibody (ANA) screening, the gold standard method is an indirect immunofluorescence assay (IIFA) using HEp-2 cells, and a serial dilution test is needed to determine the endpoint titer. We aimed to evaluate the accuracy of the estimated endpoint titer (eEPT) by the NOVA View system, by comparing it with the EPT by the serial dilution method (dEPT). The endpoint titers of a total of 1518 ANA positive cases with five major patterns including speckled, homogeneous, centromere, nucleolar, and nuclear dots patterns were determined using both the estimation function and the serial dilution method by the NOVA View system. A significant correlation between the light intensity unit (LIU) values and dEPTs was identified in all five patterns with high ρ values, ranging from 0.666 to 0.832. However, the overall exact match rate between dEPT and eEPT was 22.1% (336/1518), with the ±one-titer match rate being highest in the centromere pattern (62.8%, 81/129), and lowest in the homogeneous pattern (37.6%, 200/532). This suggests that while LIU values correlate well with dEPT, there are discrepancies in numerical agreement. Most cases that did not show an exact match, showed one-to-three-titer overestimations by eEPT. Therefore, adjusting eEPT downward significantly improved the concordance rates with dEPTs. Further investigation for an appropriate cutoff of LIU values for determining eEPT should be performed for clinical application and contribution to the standardization of the ANA titer. Riparian ecosystems are under a serious threat of invasion due to the clearance of riparian vegetation, which allows for increased light levels at ground level. This study presents the interactions between native Alternanthera sessilis (L.) R. Br. ex DC and invasive Alternanthera philoxeroides (Mart.) Griseb. during the colonization stage along a light gradient under tropical climate conditions. We conducted a 6 week growth experiment with monocultures of A. philoxeroides and A.sessilis and mixed communities of two species under four light levels (100%, 46%, 26% and 14% of full sunlight). Exposure to full sunlight (nearly 1800 μmol m−2 s−1) resulted in a significantly high biomass accrual in both species. However, biomass accrual did not correlate with the light intensity. At higher shade levels, reduction of lateral spread and shoot/root ratio was observed. Community composition had no influence on biomass accrual or morphological variations. Plasticity index values were approximately same in both species. Total relative yield was approximately two in all shade conditions, indicating that the two species interact neutrally along the light gradient. Therefore, the results of the study indicate that increased light levels will accelerate the proliferation of both species in riparian zones. Many factors are known to influence infection by cereal rusts, including environmental variables such at light, humidity and temperature, the topography of the leaf surface, as well as plant volatiles. However, few studies have aimed to link these factors. Previously, the quantity of light received by wheat seedlings prior to inoculation with Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst) urediniospores was shown to influence yellow rust infection efficiency. In this study we show that germination and the ability of germlings (germinated urediniospores) to enter stomata is enhanced on wheat seedlings subjected to high quantities of light pre‐inoculation with Pst urediniospores, while on seedlings exposed to a long dark period germination and infection were compromised. Using headspace collections and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) analysis thereof, we link this effect of high light quantity to quantitative changes in the profile of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). We show that the VOCs within headspace collections from wheat seedlings exposed to high quantities of light were able to support greater levels of Pst urediniospore germination than the headspace collections from wheat seedlings exposed to a period of dark. In vitro analysis of individual VOCs identified compounds that enhanced Pst urediniospore germination. These VOCs included the sesquiterpene caryophyllene, the monoterpene α‐pinene, the fatty acid α‐linolenic acid, the organic alcohols 1‐hexanol, 3‐hexen‐1‐ol and 5‐hexen‐1‐ol, the aldehyde cis‐3‐hexenal and the ester hexyl acetate. This study reports the room temperature testing of an InGaAs/InP photodetector, biased under linear sweep and/or parametric bias voltage for both modulated, and unmodulated 1550 nm wavelength illuminations. Charge transport of the photo-generated carriers is probed under absorber's electric field manipulations via parametric control of applied bias, readout element, and light intensity. The device exhibits three different illumination intensity dependent current signatures. Speed of the employed device is enhanced under relatively stronger electric fields ensuring higher drift, and reduced transit times. A three order reduction in the gain setting of the readout element results in ∼ 235 times large peak-current under 20 times smaller pulsed illumination of 0.2 μ W . This electric field enhancement decreases rise, and fall times under pulsed illumination from 225 ns to 115 ns , and 1.553 μ s to 1.143 μ s , respectively. But, the large photodetection plausibility, and reduced transit times ensuring relatively fast speed comes at the expense of ~ 5 order high noise activity in the device. It is also inferred that, overall noise spectrum of the device is not decided by simple generational processes in the absorber, but through the actual proportion of photo-generated carriers taking part in the real charge transport. Background The relative intensity of physical activity (PA) can be estimated as the percent of one's maximal effort required. Methods We compared associations of relative and absolute intensity PA with incident major cardiovascular disease (CVD) and all-cause mortality in 5 633 women from the Objective Physical Activity and Cardiovascular Health Study (mean age 78.5 ± 6.7). Absolute intensity was measured by accelerometry. Relative intensity was estimated by dividing accelerometer-estimated metabolic equivalents (METs) by maximal MET capacity. Both were aggregated into mean daily hours of light intensity PA (LPA) and moderate-to-vigorous PA (MVPA). Cox proportional hazard models estimated hazard ratios (HRs) for 1-hour higher amounts of PA on outcomes. Results During follow-up (median = 7.4 years), there were 748 incident CVD events and 1 312 deaths. Greater LPA and MVPA, on either scale, were associated with reduced risk of both outcomes. HRs for a 1-hour increment of absolute LPA were 0.88 (95% CI: 0.83–0.93) and 0.88 (95% CI: 0.84–0.92) for incident CVD and mortality, respectively. HRs for a 1-hour increment of absolute MPVA were 0.73 (95% CI: 0.61–0.87) and 0.55 (95% CI: 0.48–0.64) for the same outcomes. HRs for a 1-hour increment of relative LPA were 0.70 (95% CI: 0.59–0.84) and 0.78 (95% CI: 0.68–0.89) for incident CVD and mortality, respectively. HRs for a 1-hour increment of relative MPVA were 0.89 (95% CI: 0.83–0.96) and 0.82 (95% CI: 0.77–0.87) for the same outcomes. On the relative scale, LPA was more strongly, and inversely associated with both outcomes than relative MVPA. Absolute MVPA was more strongly inversely associated with the outcomes than relative MVPA. Conclusions Findings support the continued shift in the PA intensity paradigm toward recommendation of more movement, regardless of intensity. Sn and S are environmentally friendly elements that are abundant in nature. The SnS 2 compound formed with these elements has intrinsic n-type electrical conductivity and a direct forbidden band gap of ∼2.2 eV. Therefore, it is a very promising compound for visible light optoelectronic applications. In this study, SnS 2 thin films were coated on p-Si substrates and pn heterojunction structures were obtained. By adding certain amounts of Na element to SnS 2 , the photosensitivity of the heterojunction devices increased tremendously and reached a high value of 3.2 × 104 under zero bias condition. It was observed that the prepared devices had excellent speeds and stability with rise and decay times of as low as 28 m s and 23 m s. Moreover, the devices were found to be sensitive to visible light even at ultra-low light intensity of ∼0.3 μW/cm2. Furthermore, the responsivity and specific detectivity values of the prepared photodetectors reach very high values of 11 A/W and 8.4 × 1013 Jones at this low light intensity. The NEP value drops to a low level of 2.7 × 10−15 WHz −1/2. In addition, the photocatalytic properties of Na-doped and undoped SnS 2 compound were also examined under visible LED light. Compared to undoped samples, photocatalytic efficiency increased by ∼42 % in Na-doped SnS 2 thin films. Introduction: Vestibular migraine (VM) is a prevalent vestibular disorder characterized by episodic vertigo. However, the relationship between photophobia and visual triggers in VM remains unexplored. We investigated the correlation of photophobia during the VM attack with interictal photosensitivity and visually triggering dizziness in patients with VM. Methods: We enrolled patients diagnosed with VM, with or without photophobia, across seven specialized vertigo and headache clinics in China. Healthy individuals were also included as a control group. Using a cross-sectional survey design, we collected data related to light intensity and dizziness frequency triggered by flicker, glare, and eyestrain using the Headache Triggers Sensitivity and Avoidance Questionnaire. Results: A total of 366 patients were recruited. The photosensitivity and frequency of dizziness induced by flicker, glare, and eyestrain observed in patients with VM and photophobia were significantly elevated compared with those in patients without photophobia and control participants (P < 0.001). A significant positive correlation was observed between photosensitivity levels and dizziness frequency triggered by flicker, glare, and eyestrain in patients with VM and photophobia (P < 0.001). Conclusions: This study unequivocally established a positive association of ictal photophobia with interictal photosensitivity and visually triggering dizziness, strongly advocating the need for further research on exposure-based therapies for managing VM. High-intensity lasers are critical for exploring the laser–matter interactions. Here, we propose a scheme to enhance the light intensity of petawatt (PW) lasers. The scheme is based on a hollow solid plasma cone that is formed by the multiphoton ionization of PW lasers. The influence of the length and radius of the cone on laser intensity enhancement is systematically studied. After tight focusing by the plasma cone, the spot size is 1 × 1 μm2. Two-dimensional particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations predict an intensity enhancement of a laser pulse from 5.3 × 10 21 to 5.5 × 10 22 W/cm2—a ratio of 10. In addition, the focusing position of the laser can be either inside or outside the cone. Such powerful lasers can be used to increase the energy of gamma photons radiated in laser solid–target interactions. PIC simulations reveal that compared with the case without a plasma cone, both the maximum energy and yield of gamma photons are increased significantly. As plasma is robust and resistant to damage at high intensities, the plasma cone should be used as a complementary optical element to achieve higher laser intensity on existing PW laser facilities. Improving photobioreactor performance for microalgae cultivation has been the aim of many researchers over the past few years. One of the primary challenges associated with existing photobioreactors is light penetration. An effective photobioreactor design should maximize light penetration, ensuring uniform illumination throughout the reactor. This study aims to assess the impact of light intensity on microalgal growth from the perspective of energy efficiency and productivity in two photobioreactors. A novel cactus-like and a cylindrical photobioreactor were designed and fabricated using three-dimensional printing technology. These two photobioreactors were used to cultivate two strains of microalgae. The novel photobioreactor achieved a maximum biomass productivity of 1 g/L/d and a maximum energy efficiency of 0.31 g/d/kWh. The cylindrical photobioreactor reached a maximum biomass productivity of 0.74 g/L/d and energy efficiency of 0.22 g/d/kWh. The overuse of antibiotics has the effect of accelerating the evolution of bacteria and the development of superresistant bacteria. Consequently, there is an urgent need to develop new and efficient non-antibiotic-based antimicrobial agents. The Ga-TCPP framework (Frameworks) materials (GaTF) were prepared by a self-assembly method using gallium chloride (GaCl3) and tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin (TCPP) as raw materials. GaTF exhibited dual antimicrobial activities, comprising gallium ions and photodynamic forces. The GaTF @ PC was modified on its surface using phosphatidylcholines (PC) to achieve good biocompatibility. GaTF@PC can effectively produce single-linear oxygen when irradiated with a 655 nm light source and gradually dissociates in phosphate buffer to release Ga3+. The effects of material concentration and light intensity on antimicrobial properties were investigated using Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) as experimental strains. The antimicrobial experiments demonstrated a positive correlation between the antimicrobial effect of GaTF@PC and both the material concentration and light intensity. At a concentration of 30 µg · mL-1, irradiation with a 655 nm light source at a light intensity of 100 mW · cm-2 for 10 minutes resulted in antibacterial rates of over 99% for both E. coli and S. aureus. The growing demand for Location-based Augmented Reality (LAR) experiences has driven the integration of Visual Simultaneous Localization And Mapping (VSLAM) with Google Street View (GSV) to enhance the accuracy. However, the impact of the ambient light intensity on the accuracy and reliability is underexplored, posing significant challenges in outdoor LAR implementations. This paper investigates the impact of light conditions on the accuracy and reliability of the VSLAM/GSV integration approach in outdoor LAR implementations. This study fills a gap in the current literature and offers valuable insights into vision-based approach implementation under different light conditions. Extensive experiments were conducted at five Point of Interest (POI) locations under various light conditions with a total of 100 datasets. Descriptive statistic methods were employed to analyze the data and assess the performance variation. Additionally, the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) analysis was utilized to assess the impact of different light conditions on the accuracy metric and horizontal tracking time, determining whether there are significant differences in performance across varying levels of light intensity. The experimental results revealed that a significant correlation (p < 0.05 ) exists between the ambient light intensity and the accuracy of the VSLAM/GSV integration approach. Through the confidence interval estimation, the minimum illuminance 434   lx is needed to provide a feasible and consistent accuracy.
