In a 3D display system, the displayed image is constantly switching between the left eye image and the right eye image. After the human eyes synthesize the two images, a 3D effect is formed. In the process of switching, the discontinuity of the image may cause display crosstalk to the human eyes. Therefore, the backlight is usually turned off during this process, which also leads to a decrease in display brightness. In the 3D display system described in this article, within the blacklight, all the front and rear phases of all the channels can be adjusted independently along with the synchronization signal, so to improve the backlight brightness while keep the low crosstalk, and the voltage and phase of the light valve can be adjusted for a better 3D display.
