The thermal denaturation of rice structure and its starch crystalline/amorphous structure was studied by mid-infrared (MIR) spectroscopy and two-dimensional mid-infrared (2D-MIR) spectroscopy. The results indicated that the infrared absorption modes of rice starch included νOH-rice, νasCH2-rice, νsCH2-rice, νamide-Ⅰ-rice, νamide-Ⅱ-rice and νC-O-rice. As the measurement temperature increased (303-393 K), the sensitivity of rice starch crystals/amorphous structures to heat and the order of change were different from those in different origins. Further research on the relevant mechanism shows that there are some differences in heat resistance of different rice starch crystal/amorphous structure, which further affects its taste. The study expanded the scope of research on the thermal denaturation of rice structure and its starch crystals/amorphous structures using MIR spectroscopy and 2D-MIR spectroscopy.

Abstract Background The Rh blood group system is characterized by its complexity and polymorphism, encompassing 56 different antigens. Accurately predicting the presence of the C antigen using genotyping methods has been challenging. The objective of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of various genotyping methods for predicting the Rh C and to identify a suitable method for the Chinese Han population. Methods In total, 317 donors, consisting 223 D+ (including 20 with the Del phenotype) and 94 D− were randomly selected. For RHC genotyping, 48C and 109bp insertion were detected on the Real-time PCR platform and −292 substitution was analyzed via restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP). Moreover, the promoter region of the RHCE gene was sequenced to search for other nucleotide substitutions between RHC and RHc. Agreement between prediction methods was evaluated using the Kappa statistic, and comparisons between methods were conducted via the χ2 test. Results The analysis revealed that the 48C allele, 109bp insertion, a specific pattern observed in RFLP results, and wild-type alleles of seven single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were in strong agreement with the Rh C, with Kappa coefficients exceeding 0.8. However, there were instances of false positives or false negatives (0.6% false negative rate for 109bp insertion and 5.4-8.2% false positive rates for other methods). The 109bp insertion method exhibited the highest accuracy in predicting the Rh C, at 99.4%, compared to other methods (P values≤0.001). Although no statistical differences were found among other methods for predicting Rh C (P values>0.05), the accuracies in descending order were 48C (94.6%) > rs586178 (92.7%) > rs4649082, rs2375313, rs2281179, rs2072933, rs2072932, and RFLP (92.4%) > rs2072931 (91.8%). Conclusions None of the methods examined can independently and accurately predict the Rh C. However, the 109bp insertion test demonstrated the highest accuracy for predicting the Rh C in the Chinese Han population. Utilizing the 109bp insertion test in combination with other methods may enhance the accuracy of Rh C prediction.

Deep sternal wound infection （DSWI） is a rare but seriously damaging complication after median sternotomy. The quality of life and psychological health of patients may be affected due to long management period and unsatisfactory prognosis of DSWI. The improvement of this situation requires multidisciplinary cooperation. Cardiac surgeons should identify risk factors in a timely manner before surgery， take effective preventive measures， and treat incisional infections when detected after surgery to avoid the progression of infection to the sternum and mediastinum. With a definite diagnosis of DSWI， plastic surgeons are required to choose appropriate management protocols to control the infection and achieve sternal reconstruction in a timely manner. At present， prevention of DSWI has not received sufficient attention. DSWI treatment is mostly dependent on doctors’ own experience and understanding， and consensus is lacking. This article provide a review of the progress in the prevention and treatment of DSWI.

Strong-field ionization of molecules releases electrons which can be accelerated and driven back to recombine with their parent ion, emitting high-order harmonics. This ionization also initiates attosecond electronic and vibrational dynamics in the ion, evolving during the electron travel in the continuum. Revealing this subcycle dynamics from the emitted radiation usually requires advanced theoretical modeling. We show that this can be avoided by resolving the emission from two families of electronic quantum paths in the generation process. The corresponding electrons have the same kinetic energy, and thus the same structural sensitivity, but differ by the travel time between ionization and recombination-the pump-probe delay in this attosecond self-probing scheme. We measure the harmonic amplitude and phase in aligned CO_{2} and N_{2} molecules and observe a strong influence of laser-induced dynamics on two characteristic spectroscopic features: a shape resonance and multichannel interference. This quantum-path-resolved spectroscopy thus opens wide prospects for the investigation of ultrafast ionic dynamics, such as charge migration.

BackgroundIn China， the structure shift from just one-child family to both one-child and more-than-one-child families is happening. Exploring how the sibling relationships effect between adolescent personality impulsivity and aggressivity is of great significance for promoting adolescent mental health as well as maintaining social harmony and stability.ObjectiveTo investigate the effecting path of sibling relationships between personality impulsivity and aggressivity in adolescents， so as to provide references for the prevention of violent and aggressive behavior in adolescents.MethodsFrom February to April， 2023， a total of 1 200 students with sibling relationships from 12 primary and secondary schools in a county of Sichuan province were included by random sampling. Barratt Impulsivity Scale （BIS-11）， Chinese Version of Buss & Perry Aggression Questionnaire （AQ-CV）， and Sibling Relationship Questionnaire （SRQ） were used for cross-sectional investigation. Pearson Correlation Analysis was used to analyze the correlation between the scores of these scales. Bootstrap method was used to test the effecting path of sibling relationships between personality impulsivity and aggressivity.ResultsThe total score of BIS-11 was positively correlated with that of AQ-CV as well as the scores of conflict and competition dimensions in SRQ （r=0.485、0.276、0.280，P

Natural gas liquefaction requires massive cold energy, but the single liquefaction process can not fully utilize the cold energy, so that much of it is wasted. Besides, storing LNG generates a large amount of BOG that demands urgent care in order to prevent production accidents. Therefore,for the purpose of energy saving, consumption reduction and full utilization of the cold energy, this study proposes an innovative co-production process combining nitrogen cyclic expansion refrigeration based natural gas liquefaction and BOG cryogenic helium extraction, This study uses the HYSYS software to simulate the nitrogen cyclic expansion refrigeration based natural gas liquefaction, the BOG cryogenic helium extraction and the co-production process, and analyzes the key parameters relating to the comprehensive energy consumption and the crude helium concentration. While maintaining the crude helium concentration at 76.8%, the co-production system, with the goal of minimizing the comprehensive energy consumption, was optimized by applying the response surface method and the genetic algorithm into the process. The optimal parameters obtained were as follows: the high pressure of the refrigerant was 7 005 kPa while the low pressure was 489 kPa and the flow rate was 4 000 kmol/h. The feed temperature and the feed pressure of the cryogenic were-130 ℃ and 2 390 kPa respectively. In the co-production process, the natural gas liquefaction rate exceeded 90%, the helium recovery rate exceeded 95%, and the crude helium volume fraction exceeded 76.8%. Compared with the single liquefaction process, the total compression power consumption in the co-production process was reduced by about 23.6%, 4 022.71 kW in number; and the overall energy consumption was reduced by about 18.00%, 3 482.4 kW in number. The simulation results suggest that the co-production process is more cost-effective and energy-efficient. This study could provide a reference for the engineering application of the newly designed co-production process.

The limited performance of guideline-recommended abdominal ultrasound and serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) highlights the urgent, unmet need for new biomarkers for more accurate detection of early hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). To this end, we have conducted a prospective clinical validation study to evaluate the performance of the HelioLiver Test, a multi-analyte blood test combining cell-free DNA methylation patterns, clinical variables, and protein tumor markers. A blinded, multicenter validation study was performed with 247 subjects, including 122 subjects with HCC and 125 control subjects with chronic liver disease. The performance of the HelioLiver Test was compared with AFP and the GALAD score as established HCC surveillance blood tests. The performance of the HelioLiver Test (area under the receiver operating characteristic curve [AUROC] = 0.944) was superior to both AFP (AUROC = 0.851; p < 0.0001) and GALAD (AUROC = 0.899; p < 0.0001). Using a prespecified diagnostic algorithm, the HelioLiver Test showed sensitivities of 85% (95% confidence interval [CI], 78%-90%) for HCC of any stage and 76% (95% CI, 60%-87%) for early stage (American Joint Committee on Cancer [AJCC] I and II) HCC. In contrast, AFP (≥20 ng/mL) alone and the GALAD score (≥-0.63) showed lower sensitivities of 62% (95% CI, 54%-70%) and 75% (95% CI, 67%-82%) for HCC overall, and 57% (95% CI, 40%-71%) and 65% (95% CI, 49%-79%) for early stage (AJCC I and II) HCC, respectively. The specificities of the HelioLiver Test (91%; 95% CI, 85%-95%), AFP (97%; 95% CI, 92%-99%), and the GALAD score (94%; 95% CI, 88%-97%) were similar for control subjects. The HelioLiver Test showed superior performance for HCC detection compared to with both AFP and the GALAD score and warrants further evaluation in HCC surveillance settings.
