The current study aims to investigate the discursive construction and navigation of agency in oral narratives of English learning by Chinese college English majors. Based on the theoretical framework integrating Bamberg et. al.'s theory of identity dilemma and Hallidayan systemic functional linguistics, the study has addressed two research questions: 1) How do the speakers construct different levels of agency in their narratives? 2) How do the speakers navigate among different levels of agency throughout their narratives? The research data comes from monthly-based individual interviews with the participants for one year, from which significant English-learning stories are selected. Then transitivity analysis and logico-semantic analysis are conducted to the stories clause by clause so as to find out the linguistic patterns for agency construction and navigation. The study has found that speakers construct different levels of agency with various transitivity patterns, and navigate the agency dilemma by moving back and forth among different levels of agency with various logico-semantic relations. It has also illustrated that agency is not a fixed entity that a speaker possesses, but constructed and negotiated dynamically by the speaker all the way through his/her narratives.

Cr3+‐activated near‐infrared (NIR) phosphors have gained extensive attention for use in NIR phosphor‐converted light‐emitting diodes (pc‐LEDs), which are required for smart NIR spectroscopy techniques. Nevertheless, obtaining broadband NIR‐emitting phosphors with outstanding thermal stabilities and photoluminescence (PL) efficiencies remains a significant challenge. Herein, considering NaSr2XGe5O14 (X = Al, Ga, Sc, and In) as hosts, which possess a large band gap and multiple sites for the substitution of Cr3+ ions. NaSr2XGe5O14:Cr3+ phosphors are successfully prepared using a solid‐state reaction technology. Upon blue light excitation, the phosphors cover a broad NIR emission band in 650–1100 nm region. Notably, an abnormal blueshift and PL enhancement are observed following the substitution of Al/Ga with Sc/In. In particular, the PL internal quantum efficiency is improved from 34.5% (NaSr2GaGe5O14: Cr3+) to 87.5% (NaSr2ScGe5O14: Cr3+). Moreover, the manufactured NIR pc‐LED exhibited an exceptional photoelectric efficiency of 17.7% with an NIR output power of 10.2 mW at 20 mA, and its potential application in nondestructive detection is demonstrated. Rationale: Radiotherapy combined with immunotherapy has revealed promising outcomes in both preclinical studies and ongoing clinical trials. Targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT) is a branch of radiotherapy concerned with the use of radioisotopes, radiolabeled molecules or nanoparticles that deliver particulate radiation to cancer cells. TRT is a promising approach in cases of metastatic disease where conventional treatments are no longer effective. The increasing use of TRT raises the question of how to best integrate TRT with immunotherapy. In this study, we proposed a novel therapeutic regimen that combined programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1)-based immunotherapy with peptide-based TRT ( 177 Lu as the radionuclide) in the murine colon cancer model., Methods: To explore the most appropriate timing of immunotherapy after radionuclide therapy, the anti-PD-L1 antibody (αPD-L1 mAb) was delivered in a concurrent or sequential manner when 177 Lu TRT was given., Results: The results demonstrated that TRT led to an acute increase in PD-L1 expression on T cells, and TRT in combination with αPD-L1 mAb stimulated the infiltration of CD8 + T cells, which improved local tumor control, overall survival and protection against tumor rechallenge. Moreover, our data revealed that the time window for this combination therapy may be critical to outcome., Conclusions: This therapeutic combination may be a promising approach to treating metastatic tumors in which TRT can be used.
