In this paper, panel data from 30 provinces in the Chinese Mainland (excluding Tibet, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) spanning from 2006 to 2022 is utilized to investigate the relationship between logistics industry agglomeration, manufacturing industry agglomeration, and carbon emissions using spatial econometric analysis methodologies. Specifically, the study focuses on investigating the relationship between the synergistic agglomeration of the logistics and manufacturing industry, and their impact on carbon emissions using the Spatial Durbin Model. The research findings indicate that an increase in manufacturing industry agglomeration significantly reduces carbon emissions, an increase in logistics industry agglomeration result in higher carbon emissions, and the synergistic agglomeration of the two industries plays a significant role in mitigating regional carbon emissions through spatial and geographical mechanisms. Robustness tests, which include the control of additional variables and the use of alternative spatial weight matrices, further support the above conclusions.

Purpose: To compare the difference of angle of the lower portion of the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) measured via magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with and without partial anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears and to investigate the effectiveness of the angle of the lower portion of the PCL in diagnosing partial ACL tears. Methods: From January 2022 to December 2022, a cohort of consecutive patients presenting with ACL tears who underwent ACL reconstruction and patients with isolated meniscus tears undergoing arthroscopic surgery were enroled for this study. The angle of the inferior portion of the PCL comprises α and β angles, and the posterior offset of the lateral condyle were measured on the MRI and compared between the partial ACL tear and control groups. Receiver operating characteristic curves, the areas under the curve (AUCs) and the 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated to identify cutoff values for diagnosing partial ACL injuries. Results: Following an assessment of cohort eligibility and matching for age and sex, 100 patients were included in this study. The mean age of the cohort was 46.1 ± 10.3 years. The AUC for the α angle was 0.88 (95% CI, 0.82–0.94), with a sensitivity of 0.74 and specificity of 0.84 for predicting partial ACL ruptures; the α angle cutoff value was 73.6° (diagnostic odds ratio (OR), 14.10; 95% CI, 5.33–37.28). The AUC for the β angle was 0.86 (95% CI, 0.79–0.93), with a sensitivity of 0.64 and a specificity of 0.92 for predicting partial ACL ruptures; the β angle cutoff value was 73.3° (diagnostic OR, 14.54; 95% CI, 5.76–36.68). Conclusions: A small α angle and a large β angle were associated with partial ACL tears. BackGround: Considerable studies have demonstrated a significant association between red blood cell distribution width (RDW) and clinical adverse events in cardiovascular or respiratory diseases, infections, and pulmonary embolism. However, there are limited data on prognostic predictions for patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: This study conducted a retrospective cohort analysis using data gathered from patients who diagnosed with COPD in the respiratory department of The Central hospital of Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture between 2018 and 2021. Specifically, the RDW was recorded on their first admission. Multivariate logistic regression analysis were employed to examine the correlation between RDW and deterioration of COPD within one-year period. Results: The cohort of 1799 patients in the study comprised 74.7% male and had an average age of 68.9 ± 9.9 years. The fully adjusted model revealed that, the RDW-middle group (≤ 13.7,> 12.8; OR 1.5, 95% CI 1.0– 2.3, p=0.055) and the RDW-high group (> 13.7; OR 1.7, 95% CI 1.1– 2.6, p=0.013) had a 50% and 70% increased risk of deterioration within 1 year, respectively, in comparison with the RDW-low group (≤ 12.8). Subgroup analysis indicated that this trend was more significant in patients with hypertension (p for interaction = 0.016), and the probability of deterioration within 1 year in the RDW-high group was 3.3 times higher compared to the RDW-low group (OR 3.3, 95% CI 1.4– 7.9, p=0.008). Conclusion: A significant association was observed between the increase in RDW and the heightened risk of deterioration within a year in patients diagnosed with COPD. Most importantly, our findings suggested the importance of RDW in enhancing the risk stratification and prevention of deterioration of COPD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The objective of this study is to investigate the impact of emotional design and sustainable product design on user experience and satisfaction. Additionally, the study aims to optimize the combination efficiency and material selection methods of these two design approaches, extracting optimization parameters based on emotional and sustainable product design principles. By analyzing user satisfaction through questionnaires, various product indicators were examined. The study ultimately establishes a BP neural network optimization model by analyzing the design elements of different products and the satisfaction levels of various indicators. This BP neural network design optimization model, integrating emotional and sustainable design, demonstrates an accuracy rate of over 95% in predicting user satisfaction for different design schemes. Upon examining the emotional design and sustainable design parameter tables following data standardization, and analyzing various product models, it was concluded that the rate of change in each design parameter significantly impacts the satisfaction of each product indicator, highlighting the importance of these parameters in product design optimization. School lunch plays an important role in children's healthy growth. Previous investigations revealed many problems with school lunches, including unreasonable dietary structure and insufficient micronutrients. This study aimed to assess the dietary structure and nutritional quality of lunches in Nanjing primary and middle schools. A stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 44 schools that supply lunch in 12 districts in Nanjing, with two primary and two middle schools in each district. Twenty-four primary and twenty middle schools were selected. The Mann–Whitney U test was used to explore the influencing factors. Findings revealed a serious shortage of milk and fruit in school lunches; supply of eggs, fish, shrimp, and shellfish was less than half of the recommended quantity; livestock and poultry supply exceeded the recommended level by over four times. Energy and nutrition intake were suboptimal. Provision of energy, carbohydrates, vitamins (A, B1, B2, and C), calcium, and iron in urban primary schools was significantly higher than that in non-urban primary schools. The same pattern of significantly higher nutrients was equally seen in urban middle schools compared with non-urban middle schools, indicating that food supply was affected by regional economies. Background: Sepsis-induced myocardial injury, as one of the important complications of sepsis, can significantly increase the mortality of septic patients. Our previous study found that nucleolin affected mitochondrial function in energy synthesis and had a protective effect on septic cardiomyopathy in mice. During sepsis, glucose metabolism disorders aggravated myocardial injury and had a negative effect on septic patients. Objectives: We investigated whether nucleolin could regulate glucose metabolism during endotoxemia-induced myocardial injury. Methods: The study tested whether the nucleolin cardiac-specific knockout in the mice could affect glucose metabolism through untargeted metabolomics, and the results of metabolomics were verified experimentally in H9C2 cells. The ATP content, lactate production, and oxygen consumption rate (OCR) were evaluated. Results: The metabolomics results suggested that glycolytic products were increased in endotoxemia-induced myocardial injury, and that nucleolin myocardial-specific knockout altered oxidative phosphorylation-related pathways. The experiment data showed that TNF-α combined with LPS stimulation could increase the lactate content and the OCR values by about 25%, and decrease the ATP content by about 25%. However, interference with nucleolin expression could further decrease ATP content and OCR values by about 10–20% and partially increase the lactate level in the presence of TNF-α and LPS. However, nucleolin overexpression had the opposite protective effect, which partially reversed the decrease in ATP content and the increase in lactate level. Conclusion: Down-regulation of nucleolin can exacerbate glucose metabolism disorders in endotoxemia-induced myocardial injury. Improving glucose metabolism by regulating nucleolin was expected to provide new therapeutic ideas for patients with septic cardiomyopathy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
