In this study, we used tetraethylammonium chloride (TEAC), diethanolamine (DEA), and N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) to prepare ternary DES and binary DES to absorb CO2. We found that their formation was due to the hydrogen bond interaction between hydrogen bond acceptor and hydrogen bond donor (HBD). Surprisingly, TEAC/MDEA/DEA can react with CO2, but TEAC/MDEA cannot react with CO2. Unexpectedly, after adding DEA to TEAC/MDEA, the ternary TEAC/MDEA/DEA DES can react with CO2. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and Fourier infrared spectroscopy results showed that the accidental CO2 absorption behavior mainly depended on the HBD DEA, because the imine group in DEA reacted with CO2 to form carbamate, thereby absorbing CO2, while the hydroxyl group on MDEA and the hydroxyl group of DEA did not interact with CO2. Through thermal stability analysis, TEAC/MDEA/DEA system with the molar ratio of 1:3:4 is more stable. We further studied the influence of molar ratio, temperature, water content, and other factors on the absorption of CO2 by ternary DES. In addition, TEAC/MDEA/DEA (1:3:4) was regenerated at 80°C, and the absorption capacity of DES was almost unchanged after five absorption–desorption cycles.

This article reviews China’s agricultural development history and prospects China’s agricultural development by 2050 considering the implications of global agricultural development trends on China’s agriculture. The transformations of the overall economic structure and the rural economy should be combined to enhance agricultural labor productivity and promote the rapid development of agriculture. By 2050, the share of agriculture GDP in China’s total economy and the share of agricultural employment in China's total employment will reach convergency gradually. China’s food self-sufficiency rate will drop from the current 95% to about 90% in 2035 and will further drop by 2050. High-value agricultural products and multifunctional agriculture are the major driving forces for future agricultural growth and income raise of farmers. The strategic priorities for realizing China’s agricultural modernization by 2050 include: (1) improving agricultural productivity and ensuring national food security; (2) maximizing the comparative advantages of agricultural products; (3) promoting green, high-efficiency, and high-value agriculture; (4) guaranteeing sustainable utilization of agricultural water and soil resources; and (5) guiding modern agricultural development through institutional, policy, and investment reforms. Salient policy recommendations include: (1) increasing investment in technology and infrastructure to improve agricultural productivity; (2) enhancing the development of advantageous agriculture and agriculture with large demand potentials based on ensuring food security; (3) improving the market environment by rectifying market failures to support the development of high-value agriculture; (4) maintaining the sustainable development of agriculture; and (5) optimizing the allocation of land, labor, capital, and other agricultural production factors.

Smart responsive organic emitters, which exhibit tunable emission properties in response to external stimuli, can serve as a new generation of intelligent optoelectronic materials because of their versatile applications, such as multicolor displays, information encryption, visual sensing, and matter detection. In recent years, significant advancements have been made in the development of smart responsive organic emitters. However, there is still a lack of a systematic review that provides a comprehensive insight into smart responsive organic emitters from the perspectives of intrinsic mechanisms and versatile applications. Hence, this review concentrates on analyzing the intrinsic mechanisms, which can clarify the relationships between material systems and tunable emission behaviors. This process can provide helpful design principles for smart responsive organic emitters. Furthermore, versatile smart applications have been highlighted to deepen the understanding of the practical values of such smart responsive emitters. This work summarizes the state‐of‐the‐art progress of smart responsive emitters and highlights the existing challenges and future development directions. It aims to provide inspiration and guidelines for the construction of novel smart responsive organic emitters, thereby broadening and stimulating their prominent applications in various fields such as electronic information and flexible electronics. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are attractive porous crystalline materials with extremely high stability, easy functionalization, and open channels, which are expected to be unique ion conductors/transporters in lithium ion batteries (LIBs). Despite recent advances, low ion conductivity and low transference number, resulting in low charging/discharging rate, low energy density, and short battery life, are the main issues that limit their direct application as solid electrolytes in LIBs. Here, we designed and synthesized a novel polyimide COF, namely, TAPA-PDI-COF, with abundant C=O groups, which has been successfully employed as high-performance solid electrolytes by doping TAPA-PDI-COF and succinonitrile (SN). Both the well-defined nanochannels of COFs and SN confined in the well-aligned channels restricted the free migration of anions, while C=O on COFs and CN groups of SN enhanced Li+ transport, thus achieving a high ion conductivity of 0.102 mS cm−1 at 80 °C and a high lithium-ion transference number of 0.855 at room temperature. According to density functional theory (DFT) calculations, Li-ion migration mainly adopted in-plane transport rather than the axial pathway, which may be due to the shorter hopping distances in the planar pathway. Camouflage skin holds immense potential for a variety of advanced applications, such as artificial intelligence, soft robotics, and flexible/wearable electronics. Currently, most existing materials for constructing camouflage skin are mainly based on inorganic materials with an inverse opal scaffold, which significantly limits their further development because of the poor mechanical properties and environmental instability. Inspired by rana slvaticas, a new type of camouflage skin based on one‐dimentional (1D) photonic crystal (PC) gel is designed and synthesized, which combines the advantages of 1D PC structures with 3D flexible gels in a single skin device. Taking advantage of the unique structures, the resulting camouflage skins demonstrated attractive properties, including excellent mechanical performance, self‐adaptive camouflage capabilities, and long‐term stability in ambient conditions. Specifically, the camouflage skin can quickly recognize and match the background by modulating the optical signals of external stimuli. The synergistic effect of the glycerol, the dodecyl glycerol itaconate (DGI), and the nano‐space structures altogether contribute to the outstanding long‐term environmental stability of the camouflage skin. Overall, by combining the bio‐inspired concept and molecular engineering strategy, camouflage skin based on PC gels is synthesized, which greatly enriched the application and development in the smart skins field. Research has shown mixed findings on the link between production diversity and household dietary diversity. The question is whether this link holds for children. In this study we examine the relationship between household's agricultural production diversity and child dietary diversity, and between production diversity and child nutritional status. Smallholder farm households (n = 1067) and children (n = 1067) aged 3–16 years from two then nationally designated poverty counties in Gansu Province of China were interviewed in 2019. Production diversity was assessed with the production richness score and production diversity score. Production diversity was calculated from agricultural production data covering a period of 12 months. Child dietary diversity was assessed with food variety score (FVS) and dietary diversity score (DDS). DDS was calculated based on 9 food groups using a 30-day recall method. Data were analysed using Poisson and Probit regression models. We find that both agricultural production richness score and revenue generated from selling agricultural products are positively associated with food variety score, with the relationship being stronger for the latter. Moreover, production diversity score is positively associated with children's dietary diversity score whereas negatively associated with their probability of being stunted, but not with their probabilities of being wasted or zinc deficient.
