14. Simultaneous determination of four fungicide residues in figs using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.

Abstract

Dissipative behavior and final residue levels of difenoconazole, prochloraz, propiconazole, and pyraclostrobin in figs were investigated using field trials and laboratory assays. A three‐factor, three‐level orthogonal test was designed to optimize the pretreatment conditions of the method. A method was established using high‐performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry for the determination of difenoconazole, prochloraz, propiconazole, and pyraclostrobin residues in figs. The limit of quantification for all four targets in figs was 0.002 mg/kg. Difenoconazole, prochloraz, propiconazole, and pyraclostrobin are readily digestible pesticides in figs with half‐lives of 6.4, 6.2, 4.8, and 7.9 days, respectively. Residues of difenoconazole, prochloraz, propiconazole, and pyraclostrobin in figs were below the European Union established residue levels of 0.1, 0.03, 0.01, and 0.02 mg/kg, respectively, at day 7 after application. Pyraclostrobin, propiconazole, difenoconazole, and prochloraz were applied twice at doses of 75, 125, 150, and 200 mg a.i./kg at 7‐day intervals, and the residues of the four fungicides in figs were acceptable 7 days after the last application. Therefore, the safety interval can be set at 7 days for 70% difenoconazole‐prochloraz wettable powder and 40% pyraclostrobin‐propiconazole aqueous emulsion according to the protocol. Abstract

N2 electroreduction reaction (NRR) enables an eco‐friendly NH3 synthesis under mild conditions, which is regarded as a carbon‐neutral alternative technology to the traditional Haber–Bosch process. However, its practical applications are seriously impeded by the difficulty in N2 adsorption and activation over catalysts, as well as the competing hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). In this work, a novel bismuth molybdate nanocatalyst with sufficient oxygen vacancies and high Biconcentration (41.9 at%), BiMoO‐OVs, is synthesized and demonstrated as an excellent NRR electrocatalyst. Benefiting from synergistic effect of the adequate Bi active centers with inert HER activity provided by the high concentration of Bi, and the reinforced N2 adsorption and activation ability of oxygen vacancies, the as‐synthesized BiMoO‐OVs presents a high Faradaic efficiency of 16.38% with a NH3 yield rate of 3.65 µg h−1 cm−2 at −0.4 V (vs RHE) in neutral electrolyte, which outperforms those of most Bi‐based NRR nanocatalysts. Noticeably, it also presents excellent electrochemical durability for at least 24 h. Abstract

A genetic linkage map of the apple, composed of 175 SSR and 105 SRAP markers, has been constructed using 110 F1 individuals obtained from a cross between the ‘Red Fuji’ Malus domestica and ‘Hongrou’ Malus sieversii cultivars, which have relatively high levels of DNA marker polymorphism and differ remarkably in fruit-related traits. The linkage map comprised 17 linkage groups, covering 1299.67 cM with an average marker distance of 4.6 cM between adjacent markers, or approximately 91% of Malus genome. Linkage groups were well populated and, although marker density ranged from 2.1 to 9.5 cM, just 10 gaps of more than 15 cM were observed. Moreover, just 12.5% of markers displayed segregation distortion. The present genetic linkage map was used to identify quantitative trait loci (QTLs) affecting fruit-related traits. 23 QTLs for ten fruit traits were detected by multiple interval mapping: 3 QTLs for Vc content, One QTL for single fruit weight, 2 QTLs for peel-phenols content, 2 QTLs for flesh-hardness, 2 QTLs for diameter, 6 QTLs for acid content, 1 QTL for sugar content, 2 QTLs for soluble solids content, 2 QTLs for flesh-phenols and 2 QTLs for brittleness. These QTLs were located on linkage groups C1, C2, C3, C5, C6, C7, C9, C10, C14 and C17, respectively. The phenotypic variations exhibited by each QTL ranged from 2% to 72%, and their LOD values varied from 2.03 to 8.93, of which five QTLs were major effect genes (R2 ≥ 10%). The tight linkage markers (*me2em7-460f, *MS01a03-180m, *me1em6-307m, *CH05c06-102f, *me1em8-423f) would be helpful to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of apple domestication and breeding in the future.
