In order to solve the last centimeter problem of automated production, it is necessary to innovative design of flexible fixture. This article presents a metamorphic hand design method through the principle of metamorphic mechanism. Firstly, kinematic chain satisfying the requirements is obtained by number synthesis and structural synthesis. Then, the kinematic chain becomes a mechanism that meets the requirements using regeneration design rules. And the holographic matrix description method is used to describe the configuration transformation of the metamorphic mechanism. Furthermore, through the combination method of kinematic chain, the metamorphic clamp increases the two joint fingers into a metamorphic hand. Finally, the validity of the theoretical method is verified by physical experiments.

This paper focuses on the feature selection methods for unbalanced data sets which have variant sizes of classes. ReliefF has proved to be a successful method for selecting irrelevant features, whereas it is considered as a biased approach for the unbalanced data sets. This paper describes an effective fair method to overcome the defect. Furthermore, against the sensitivity of ReliefF to noisy or irrelevant features when selecting k nearest samples, feature distance is proposed to substitute for the Euclidean distance. Experiments on manual data and UCI data sets indicated that the improved method works better than ReliefF and InfoGain when used as a preprocessing step for naive Bayes and C4.5.

Controlled five-bar is an important area of contemporary mechanism. On account of the current gap in design software about five-bar, a controlled five-bar design platform (CFDP) has been developed with VC++ and OpenGL based on the theory of five-bar. The platform has two main functions of motion analysis and path synthesis, therefore offers a great convenience for the designers. This paper introduces the method of path synthesis and motion analysis, and then the functions and structures of the platform are discussed. Conclusion gives the overall attitudes on the software.
