High voltage power capacitors employ the oil-impregnated polypropylene film as the insulation. The swelling phenomenon might drive the antioxidants and small molecules within the film to migrate into the oil. It is necessary to comprehensively investigate the physical migration mechanism of antioxidants and their impact on the electrical performance of the oil-film combination insulation system and, consequently, formulate the proper selective prescription of antioxidants. Theoretical elucidation of the competitive interaction mechanism between the film and the oil in attracting antioxidant molecules was achieved through the calculation of inter-molecular binding energy, and the migration coefficient ηm was introduced to quantify the migration characteristics of antioxidants. Experimentally, the effects of antioxidants on the space charge distribution of the film, the dielectric properties of the oil, and the breakdown characteristics of both the film and oil were investigated. The experimental conclusions are consistent with theoretical analysis. The lamellar structure antioxidant molecules with ηm > 1 tend to migrate from the film to the oil, which results in increased dielectric loss and decreased breakdown strength of the insulating oil. In addition, the presence of phosphorus atoms in phosphite antioxidants contributes to a reduction in the breakdown strength of the film. For capacitor grade polypropylene film, in addition to the synergistic effect between different types of antioxidants on the thermo-oxidative stability, the structure of the antioxidant molecules and its influence on the electrical performance of the oil–film systems should also be taken into account. Measuring parental care behaviour in the wild is central to the study of animal ecology and evolution, but it is often labour‐ and time‐intensive. Efficient open‐source tools have recently emerged that allow animal behaviour to be quantified from videos using machine learning and computer vision techniques, but there is limited appraisal of how these tools perform compared to traditional methods. To gain insight into how different methods perform in extracting data from videos taken in the field, we compared estimates of the parental provisioning rate of wild house sparrows Passer domesticus from video recordings. We compared four methods: manual annotation by experts, crowd‐sourcing, automatic detection based on the open‐source software DeepMeerkat, and a hybrid annotation method. We found that the data collected by the automatic method correlated with expert annotation (r = 0.62) and further show that these data are biologically meaningful as they predict brood survival. However, the automatic method produced largely biased estimates due to the detection of non‐visitation events, while the crowd‐sourcing and hybrid annotation produced estimates that are equivalent to expert annotation. The hybrid annotation method takes approximately 20% of annotation time compared to manual annotation, making it a more cost‐effective way to collect data from videos. We provide a successful case study of how different approaches can be adopted and evaluated with a pre‐existing dataset, to make informed decisions on the best way to process video datasets. If pre‐existing frameworks produce biased estimates, we encourage researchers to adopt a hybrid approach of first using machine learning frameworks to preprocess videos, and then to do manual annotation to save annotation time. As open‐source machine learning tools are becoming more accessible, we encourage biologists to make use of these tools to cut annotation time but still get equally accurate results without the need to develop novel algorithms from scratch. DNA N6-methyladenine (6mA) modification is widespread in organisms and plays an important functional role in the regulation of cellular processes. As a model organism in biohydrometallurgy, Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans can obtain energy from the oxidation of ferrous iron (Fe2+) and various reduced inorganic sulfides (RISCs) under acidic conditions. To determine the linkage between genomic DNA methylation and the switching between the two oxidative metabolic pathways in A. ferrooxidans, the 6mA landscape in the genome of A. ferrooxidans cultured under different conditions was evaluated by using 6mA-IP-seq. A total of 214 and 47 high-confidence peaks of 6mA were identified under the Fe2+ and RISCs oxidizing conditions, respectively (P<10−5), suggesting that genomic methylation was greater under Fe2+ oxidizing conditions. 6mA experienced a decline at the transcription start site (TSS) and occurs frequently in gene bodies under both oxidizing conditions. Furthermore, Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analyses revealed that 7 KEGG pathways were mapped into and most of the differentially methylated genes were enriched in oxidative phosphorylation and metabolic pathways. Fourteen genes were selected for studying the effect of differences in methylation on mRNA expression. Thirteen genes, excluding petA-1, demonstrated a decrease in mRNA expression as methylation levels increased. Overall, the 6mA methylation enrichment patterns are similar under two conditions but show differences in the enriched pathways. The phenomenon of upregulated gene methylation levels coupled with downregulated expression suggests a potential association between the regulation mechanisms of 6mA and the Fe2+ and RISCs oxidation pathways. Multicellular algae are the core topic for understanding the early life evolution on Earth. The timing of origin and cellular differentiation of multicellular algae, however, remains poorly constrained. The Palaeoproterozoic to early Mesoproterozoic is a critical period during which multicellular algae began to occur and evolve in marine environments. This paper reports well‐preserved multicellular fossils from shales of the Chuanlinggou Formation (c. 1.64 Ga) in North China, with emphasis on their holdfast and putative cellular structures. These macroalgal fossils are reasonably diversified and include Chuaria circularis, Tawuia sinensis, Tawuia robusta, Glossophyton ovalis, Glossophyton sp., Tuanshanzia sp. and Changchengia sp.; mainly preserved as carbonaceous compressions, with a few sideritized forms. Field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM) observation revealed multicellular structures in Chuaria, confirming its biological attributes of a multicellular eukaryote and providing direct evidence that multicellular algae had already originated by the terminal Palaeoproterozoic, earlier than previously speculated. Tuanshanzia sp. and Changchengia sp. developed with a bare rhizome holdfast, suggesting that they had a benthic sessile lifestyle in their late Palaeoproterozoic oceanic habitat. As an important growth point of Qinghai’s economic development, tourism has become increasingly prominent in its contribution to the development of the national economy and has become one of the most dynamic industries in the province. Based on the relevant data from 2001 to 2018, this paper explores the influencing factors of tourism revenue in Qinghai Province by constructing an error correction model and combining Granger causality test. The research results show that there is a significant correlation between the total number of tourist visits, per capita GDP and traffic conditions, and the growth of tourism income in Qinghai Province. Among them, every 1% increase in the total number of tourist arrivals drives an average increase of 1.566% in tourism revenue; and the short-term elasticity of tourism revenue to the total number of tourist arrivals is slightly greater than the long-term elasticity.

Preclinical studies have proven that nanosecond pulsed electric field (nsPEF) ablation can be a safe and effective treatment for humans with unresectable liver cancer that are ineligible for thermal ablation. The concomitant activation of antitumor immunity by nsPEF can also potentially prevent tumor recurrence. However, whether nsPEF exhibits similar efficacy in a clinical setting remains to be investigated. A prospective clinical trial (clinicaltrials.gov identifier: NCT04039747) was conducted to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ultrasound (US)‐guided nsPEF ablation in 15 patients with unresectable liver cancer that were ineligible for thermal ablation. We found that nsPEF ablation was safe and produced a 12‐month recurrence‐free survival (RFS) and local RFS of 60% (9/15) and 86.7% (13/15), respectively, in the enrolled patients. Integrative proteomic and metabolomic analysis showed that sphingolipid metabolism was the most significantly enriched pathway in patient sera after nsPEF without recurrence within 8 months. A similar upregulation of sphingolipid metabolism was observed in the intratumoral mononuclear phagocytes (MNPs), rather than other immune and nonimmune cells, of an nsPEF‐treated mouse model. We then demonstrated that lymphocyte antigen 6 complex, locus C2‐positive (Ly6c2+) monocytes first differentiated into Ly6c2+ monocyte‐derived macrophages with an increase in sphingolipid metabolic activity, and subsequently into Ly6c2+ dendritic cells (DCs). Ly6c2+ DCs communicated with CD8+ T cells and increased the proportions of IFN‐γ+ CD8+ memory T cells after nsPEF, and this finding was subsequently confirmed by depletion of liver Ly6c2+ MNPs. In conclusion, nsPEF was a safe and effective treatment for liver cancer. The alteration of sphingolipid metabolism induced by nsPEF was associated with the differentiation of Ly6c2+ MNPs, and subsequently induced the formation of memory CD8+ T cells with potent antitumor effect.
