To advance understanding of international students' psychological well-being and social-emotional experiences, we tested whether specific social influences could enhance international students' belonging and well-being and attenuate loneliness. Graduate and undergraduate international students (N = 126) from two universities in the United States participated in a year-long study. Structural equation modeling analyses revealed that perceived social support from domestic students in the fall predicted higher belonging in the subsequent spring, while perceived faculty social support in the fall predicted lower loneliness in the spring. Perceived faculty social support had an indirect effect on psychological well-being via loneliness. These novel findings provide initial evidence for the salience of social support from domestic students and faculty for international students' social-emotional adjustment.

Wrinkles are urgent problems to be solved in the process of hot diaphragm preforming. Inter-ply slipping resistance is one of the causes of wrinkles. In this paper, based on the vertical inter-ply slipping test system, the inter-ply slipping behaviors of carbon fiber-reinforced epoxy resin composite prepregs were characterized. The mechanism of wrinkles caused by inter-ply slipping resistance was analyzed. According to the different characteristics expressed by the fiber and resin during the slip process, the inter-ply slipping behaviors of the prepregs were divided into three stages. The effect of temperature on the inter-ply slipping stresses was shown. The temperature will affect the viscosity of the prepregs. When the viscosity of the prepregs is low, the inter-ply slipping resistance will decrease. Based on the Coulomb friction law and the hydrodynamic equation, the inter-ply slipping kinetic equation of the prepregs was established. The inter-ply slipping kinetic equation was introduced into the ABAQUS main program by the 'vfriction' subroutine. Plastic pollution caused by mulching film residues (MFRs) is escalating in arable lands, which affects the function of agricultural ecosystems, and poses a serious obstacle to agricultural sustainable development in arid regions. Internationally, increasing recycling rate of polyethylene (PE) film and adopting biodegradable films are recommended strategies to mitigate plastic pollution in farmland, aiming to increase agricultural sustainability and food security. However, impacts of the future of these strategies remain underexplored. This study estimated MFRs accumulation over the next 50 years under varying PE and polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) film recovery scenarios: no recovery, and recovery rates increased to 80%, 85%, 90%, and 95%. Additionally, cumulative ecological effects (CEEs) of MFR pollution were assessed based on historical MFRs accumulations of 75 kg hm−2, 160 kg hm−2, 220 kg hm−2, 300 kg hm−2, and 400 kg hm−2, by evaluating direct and indirect ecological effects. The findings revealed that (1) with no recovery, PE film residues could increase by 480 kg hm−2, whereas achieving a 95% recovery rate could limit residues increasing to below the national threshold of 75 kg hm−2, outperforming the 80%, 85%, and 90% recovery rates. On the other hand, using PBAT film would maintain the increasing MFRs below 75 kg hm−2 regardless of recovery rate. (2) Without PE film recovery, CEEs would intensify significantly, as both the direct and indirect effects increase notably, while the CEEs of MFRs could maintain the current status or decrease under the strategy of 95% recovery rate of PE film and using PBAT film, similar to the variation of direct effects. However, indirect effects would persist due to ongoing microplastics (MPs) and phthalate esters (PAEs) released from residual films. Overall, a 95% PE film recycling rate and PBAT film usage emerged as particularly effective strategies for minimizing MFRs accumulation and mitigating ecological impacts over the next 50 years. Further research should prioritize the indirect ecological effects of MFRs, given their persistence despite reduction efforts. Objective: The purpose of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to investigates whether transcranial direct current stimulation applied during physical training increases muscle strength in comparison with sham tDCS combined with physical training. Methods: Randomized controlled trials of the effects of tDCS combined physical training intervention on muscle strength and cortical excitability were collected by searching Web of Science, Pubmed, EBSCO, CNKI. The retrieval date ends in April 2024. 11 randomized controlled trials are finally included. The total sample size of the study is 338. The experimental group was subjected to tDCS combined with physical training intervention, and the control group was physical training combined with sham tDCS intervention. Results: There is a significant increase in maximal strength (SMD = 0.38; 95% CI: 0.09, 0.67; p = 0.01) and lower limb explosive strength (MD = 2.90; 95% CI: 1.06, 4.74; p = 0.002) when physical training was performed with tDCS, but not following physical training combined with sham tDCS. Subgroup analysis of the subject population showed an increase in muscle strength in those with training experience following tDCS combined with physical training (SMD = 0.39; 95% CI: 0.08, 0.70; p = 0.01), but not for those without training experience (SMD = 0.29; 95% CI: −0.06, 0.63; p = 0.10). Motor evoked potential (MEP) wave amplitude increased significantly following physical training with tDCS (SMD = 0.71; 95% CI: 0.18, 1.24; p = 0.008), but was not different between groups (SMD = 0.16; 95% CI: −0.33, 0.65; p = 0.52). Conclusions: tDCS combined with physical training intervention can improve muscle strength, lower limb explosive strength and cerebral cortex excitability. Compared to tDCS combined with training of small muscle groups, tDCS combined with training of large muscle groups was more effective in improving muscle strength. Muscle strength was more likely to improve after tDCS combined with physical training in people with physical training experience compared with people without physical training experience. The combination of tDCS with physical training intervention and the sham-tDCS with physical training intervention both increased cortical excitability. The proposed method involves the utilization of a strip roll-forming technique to fulfill the specific requirements for constructing large-scale structures in orbit and space station trusses during extraterrestrial exploration. This involves progressively rolling out a metal strip with an L+V-shaped locking edge through multiple passes of forming rolls featuring different section shapes. The process of helical locking enables the formation of a slender, spiral-shaped tube, which can be utilized for the in-orbit assembly of exceptionally large structures. The proposed approach introduces a two-step optimization method to enhance the maximum stress, equivalent plastic strain, and wrapping torque of roll-forming L+V cross-sections and wrap-forming helical tubes. The optimized sample points in the second step are established based on the optimal roll distance and roll gap obtained in the first optimal step, resulting in the determination of the optimal folding height and V-shaped angle of the L+V strip cross-section after optimization. Biomimetic and thermoresponsive hemostatic hydrogels based on gelatin (G), hyaluronic acid (HA), and poly-N-isopropylacrylamide (PNIPAM) have emerged as promising hemostats, but their performances are currently limited by the drawbacks of conventional grafting strategies, and the complicated operation and safety risk associated with photo-cross-linking or chemical cross-linking. It is highly appealing yet challenging to develop a facile strategy to prepare a physically cross-linked hemostatic hydrogel with rapid gelation and a robust network. Herein, an injectable, thermosensitive, and physically cross-linked double-network hemostatic hydrogel was prepared through simply blending G/HA with the linear PNIPAM (L-P) synthesized by reversible addition–fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization. The G/HA/L-P hydrogel could be conveniently injected via a syringe and cured in situ at body temperature. Its comprehensive performance could be tuned and optimized by adjusting the molecular weight of L-P and the proportions of components. Due to the non-covalent interactions including hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic interactions, and chain entanglements within the hydrogel network, the optimal performance of the G/HA/L-P hydrogel was achieved, i.e., gelation time 7–10 s, storage modulus 89 ± 3.5 kPa, adhesion strength 19.3 ± 2.5 kPa, and burst pressure 256 ± 27 mmHg. Meanwhile, the hydrogel exhibited significant coagulation effects in vitro and effective hemostatic properties in vivo. In few-show knowledge graphs, the representation of relationships between entity pairs was diverse and complex. However, existing few-show knowledge graph completion methods commonly suffered from insufficient relational learning capabilities and the neglect of contextual semantics associated with entities. To address these challenges, a novel approach called the few-shot relation learning completion model (FRLC) was proposed. Firstly, during the process of aggregating high-order neighborhood entity information, a gating mechanism was introduced to mitigate the adverse effects of noise on neighbors while enriching the representation of central entities. Secondly, in the phase of relation representation learning, the correlations among entity pairs in a reference set were leveraged to obtain more accurate relationship representations. Lastly, within the Transformer-based learning framework, an LSTM structure was incorporated to further capture contextual semantic information of entities and relationships, which was used for predicting new factual knowledge. To validate the effectiveness of FRLC, comparative experiments were conducted on the publicly available NELL-One and Wiki-One datasets, in which FRLC was compared with six few-shot knowledge graph completion models and five traditional models for 5-shot link prediction. The experimental results showed improvements in FRLC across four metrics: MRR, Hits @ 10, Hits @ 5, and Hits @ 1, demonstrating the model's effectiveness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
