This study presented a mathematical description of an arbitrary shape area, and after analyzing the characteristics of the near-polar orbital co-ground trajectory constellation that satisfies the revisit interval constraint, an optimization model of the orbital parameters design of reference satellites in regional coverage constellations was constructed. Then based on the designed area covering the constellation of common ground trajectories, a simple and effective two-pulse maneuvering scheme was adopted for the needs of sudden tasks, and an existing satellite scheduling optimization model using the golden section method to constrain the boundary of substellar point coverage was constructed. Finally, the optimal design of regional coverage constellations and existing satellite dispatches was carried out for the sea areas with the most frequent tropical cyclone activities in the northwest Pacific Ocean, and the simulation results verified the effectiveness of the proposed optimization model and have certain practical use value.

Background: Many inpatients encounter a fever in the first 24 h after drainage removal. It is costly to exclude the possibility of deep infection and cultures usually fail to identify the etiology. We hypothesize that the fever is caused by a normal inflammatory response and tested whether the prophylactic use of acetaminophen could reduce the fever rate. Methods: This was a prospectively randomized clinical trial performed from July 2019 to January 2020. A total of 183 consecutive patients undergoing lumbar spine surgery were prospectively randomized into two groups. Ninety‐one patients were randomized into the study group; they received oral acetaminophen before removal of the drainage tubes and a second dose at 8 p.m. on the same day. The remaining 92 patients were placed in the control group, and they were given routine treatment without acetaminophen. The two groups were compared for differences in age, sex, height, weight, BMI, surgical segments, surgical time, blood loss, blood transfusion, ASA score, duration of drainage, total volume of the drainage, variation of WBC and CRP, hospital stay after the removal of the drainage tube and the rate of fever. Student's t‐test and the Mann–Whitney U test were used to analyze the continuous data, while the chi‐square test was used for the analysis of the ranked data. Results: Regarding the comparisons of basic information, there were no significant differences between the two groups for age, height, weight, BMI, surgical segments, surgical time, blood loss, blood transfusion, total drainage volume, duration of drainage, hospital stay, WBC, and CRP variation or the duration of hospital stay after removal of the drainage tube (all p > 0.05). However, the fever rate was significantly different (p = 0.006), and the fever rate of the study group (14/91, 15.38%) was significantly lower than that of the control group (30/92, 32.61%). In the study group, there were no complications related to the use of acetaminophen during the hospital stay or during the outpatient follow‐up period. Conclusion: Fever after removal of tube drainage is caused by a normal inflammatory response, and a small dose of acetaminophen could significantly reduce the possibility of fever. Genome-wide association studies identified that a series of genes, including solute carrier family (SLC) 2 member 9 (SLC2A9), SLC 22 member 12 (SLC22A12) and ATP-binding cassette sub-family G member 2 (ABCG2) polymorphisms were associated with serum uric acid (SUA) levels in the present study. High incidence rates of hyperuricemia were reported in the Chinese population of the southeast coastal region; however, no evidence has confirmed the genetic association with SUA levels in this region. The present study aimed to investigate the association between uric acid levels and hyperuricemia, and genotypes of the Chinese population of the southeast coastal region. In the present study, a total of 1,056 healthy patients attending routine checkups were employed to investigate the incidence of hyperuricemia; 300 subjects were then randomly selected from the 1,056 patients for the identification of genetic polymorphisms of SLC2A9rs11722228, SLC22A12rs893006 and ABCG2rs2231142 via high-resolution melting. The present study reported that the incidence rate of hyperuricemia was 32.6% (42.5% in males and 22.7% in females, respectively). The prevalence of ABCG2rs2231142 polymorphisms (CC, CA and AA) was 44.4, 44.8 and 11.8%, respectively; SLC2A9rs11722228 polymorphisms (CC, CT and TT) were reported to be 49.3, 40.3 and 10.3%, respectively. Additionally, SLC22A12rs893006 polymorphisms (CC, CT and TT) were determined to be 57.2, 38.7 and 4.1%, respectively. The SUA levels were observed to be statistically different among each investigated genotype of ABCG2rs2231142 (P=0.047). The A allele was significantly associated with an increased risk of hyperuricemia (odds ratio=2.405 and 1.133 for CA and AA, respectively). The present study reported that high incidence rates of hyperuricemia in the Chinese population of the southeast coastal region may be closely associated with the variants of ABCG2rs2231142. Whether polymorphisms of SLC2A9rs11722228 and SLC22A12rs893006 are involved in hyperuricemia require further investigation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Mitochondria play an essential role in neural function, such as supporting normal energy metabolism, regulating reactive oxygen species, buffering physiological calcium loads, and maintaining the balance of morphology, subcellular distribution, and overall health through mitochondrial dynamics. Given the recent technological advances in the assessment of mitochondrial structure and functions, mitochondrial dysfunction has been regarded as the early and key pathophysiological mechanism of cognitive disorders such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, mild cognitive impairment, and postoperative cognitive dysfunction. This review will focus on the recent advances in mitochondrial medicine and research methodology in the field of cognitive sciences, from the perspectives of energy metabolism, oxidative stress, calcium homeostasis, and mitochondrial dynamics (including fission-fusion, transport, and mitophagy)., Competing Interests: None

Background: Accurate analysis of intestinal microbiota will facilitate establishment of an evaluating system for assessing colorectal cancer (CRC) risk and prognosis. This study evaluates the potential role of Fusobacterium nucleatum ( F. nucleatum ) and Escherichia coli with a pks gene ( pks + E. coli ) in early CRC diagnosis., Methods: We recruited 139 patients, including CRC ( n = 60), colorectal adenomatous polyposis (CAP) ( n = 37), and healthy individuals ( n = 42) based on their colonoscopy examinations. We collected stool and serum samples from the participants and measured the relative abundance of F. nucleatum and pks + E. coli in fecal samples by quantitative PCR. Receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analyses were used to analyze the diagnostic value of single or combined biomarkers., Results: Fecal F. nucleatum and pks + E. coli levels were higher in the CRC group in either the CAP group or healthy controls ( P = 0.02; 0.01). There was no statistical difference in the distribution of F. nucleatum and pks + E. coli in patients with different tumor sites ( P > 0.05). The combination of F. nucleatum + pks + E. coli +CEA+CA19-9+FOBT was chosen as the optimal panel in differentiating both CRC and CAP from the controls. The combination of F. nucleatum , pks + E. coli , and FOBT improved diagnostic efficiency. However, there was difficulty in differentiating CRC from CAP., Conclusion: Our results suggested that combining bacterial markers with conventional tumor markers improves the diagnostic efficiency for noninvasive diagnosis of CRC., Competing Interests: All authors have completed the ICMJE uniform disclosure form.
