Plants adapt to the limitation of soil phosphorus (P) induced by nitrogen (N) deposition through a complex interaction of various root and leaf functional traits. In this study, a pot experiment was conducted to explore the effects of different levels of N addition (control, low N [LN]: 25 kg N ha−1 yr−1, high N [HN]: 50 kg N ha−1 yr−1) on tree growth, leaf nutrient content, foliar P fractions and root characteristics of two dominant tree species, the pioneer species Salix rehderiana Schneid and the climax species Abies fabri (Mast.) Craib, in a subalpine forest in southwestern China. The results demonstrated that LN addition had a minimal impact on leaf N and P contents. Conversely, HN addition significantly decreased the leaf P content in both species. Salix rehderiana exhibited more pronounced increases in specific root length and specific root area under P deficiency triggered by HN addition when compared with A. fabri. In contrast, A. fabri showed weaker morphological responses to N addition but had a higher proportion of foliar P to metabolic P, as well as higher root exudates rate and root phosphatase activity in response to HN addition. Abies fabri employs a synergistic approach by allocating a greater amount of leaf P to metabolite P and extracting P from the soil through P-mobilizing exudates and root phosphatase activity, while S. rehderiana exhibits higher flexibility in modifying its root morphology in response to P limitation induced by HN addition. This study provides insights into subalpine tree species adaptation to N-induced P limitation, emphasizing its significance for guiding forest management and conservation in the context of global climate change. The phenomenon of overweight vehicles severely threatens traffic safety and the service life of transportation infrastructure. Rapid and effective identification of overweight vehicles is of significant importance for maintaining the healthy operation of highways and bridges and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. With the problems of high cost and low efficiency, the traditional vehicle weighing systems can only meet some of the requirements of different scenarios. The development of artificial intelligence technologies, especially deep learning, has greatly enhanced the accuracy and efficiency of computer vision. To this end, the paper proposes a method using computer vision and deep learning for the non‐contact identification of overweight vehicles. By constructing two deep learning models and combining them with the vehicle vibration model and relevant specifications, the weight and maximum allowable weight of the vehicle are obtained to make a comparison for determining overweight. Experimental verification was performed using a two‐axle vehicle as an illustrative example, and the results demonstrate that the proposed method exhibits excellent feasibility and effectiveness. It shows significant potential in real‐world scenarios, laying a research foundation for practical engineering applications. Purpose: This study explores the relationship between intellectual capital and innovation in small and micro enterprises (SMEs) and analyses the mediating effect of dynamic ability on this relationship. Design/methodology/approach: This study used a questionnaire survey to obtain research data on intellectual capital and innovation in 290 SMEs in the Jiangsu and Shandong provinces of China. The impact of intellectual capital on the innovation of SMEs is tested using hierarchical regression analysis in SPSS 22.0. The effect of intellectual capital on the innovation of these enterprises was examined using the SPSS PROCESS macro version 3.3. Findings: The findings reveal that intellectual capital not only directly promotes innovation inputs, patent applications, and innovation income but also indirectly fosters innovation by enhancing dynamic capabilities. Originality/value: This study not only deepens the understanding of intellectual capital and its role in SME innovation but also further elucidates the intermediary role of dynamic capabilities and the differences in the impact of various dimensions of intellectual capital on innovation. Theoretically, it provides new evidence for the application of intellectual capital theory in the field of innovation research.
