Recently, Sato et al. proposed an public verifiable blind quantum computation (BQC) protocol by inserting a third-party arbiter. However, it is not true public verifiable in a sense, because the arbiter is determined in advance and participates in the whole process. In this paper, a public verifiable protocol for measurement-only BQC is proposed. The fidelity between arbitrary states and the graph states of 2-colorable graphs is estimated by measuring the entanglement witnesses of the graph states,so as to verify the correctness of the prepared graph states. Compared with the previous protocol, our protocol is public verifiable in the true sense by allowing other random clients to execute the public verification. It also has greater advantages in the efficiency, where the number of local measurements is O(n^3*log {n}) and graph states' copies is O(n^2*log{n})., Comment: 17 pages, 5 figures

Privacy-preserving geometric intersection (PGI) is an important issue in Secure multiparty computation (SMC). The existing quantum PGI protocols are mainly based on grid coding, which requires a lot of computational complexity. The phase-encoded query method which has been used in some Quantum SMC protocols is suitable to solve the decision problem, but it needs to apply high dimensional Oracle operators. In this paper, we use the principle of phase-encoded query to solve an important PGI problem, namely privacy-preserving two-party circle intersection. We study the implementation of Oracle operator in detail, and achieve polynomial computational complexity by decompsing it into quantum arithmetic operations. Performance analysis shows that our protocol is correct and efficient, and can protect the privacy of all participants against internal and external attacks., Comment: 16 pages, 2 figures

Privacy-preserving price e-negotiation (3PEN) is an important topic of secure multi-party computation (SMC) in the electronic commerce field, and the key point of its security is to guarantee the privacy of seller's and buyer's prices. In this study, a novel and efficient quantum solution to the 3PEN problem is proposed, where the oracle operation and the qubit comparator are utilized to obtain the comparative results of buyer's and seller's prices, and then quantum counting is executed to summarize the total number of products which meets the trading conditions. Analysis shows that our solution not only guarantees the correctness and the privacy of 3PEN, but also has lower communication complexity than those classical ones., Comment: 13 pages, 6 figures

Secure two-party scalar product (S2SP) is a promising research area within secure multiparty computation (SMC), which can solve a range of SMC problems, such as intrusion detection, data analysis, and geometric computations. However, existing quantum S2SP protocols are not efficient enough, and the complexity is usually close to exponential level. In this paper, a novel secure two-party quantum scalar product (S2QSP) protocol based on Fourier entangled states is proposed to achieve higher efficiency. Firstly, the definition of unconditional security under malicious models is given. And then, an honesty verification method called Entanglement Bondage is proposed, which is used in conjunction with the modular summation gate to resist malicious attacks. The property of Fourier entangled states is used to calculate the scalar product with polynomial complexity. The unconditional security of our protocol is proved, which guarantees the privacy of all parties. In addition, we design a privacy-preserving quantum matrix multiplication protocol based on S2QSP protocol. By transforming matrix multiplication into a series of scalar product processes, the product of two private matrices is calculated without revealing any privacy. Two quantum key agreement protocols using Bell states and Bell measurement were recently proposed by Shukla et al.(Quantum Inf. Process. 13(11), 2391-2405, 2014). However, Zhu et al. pointed out that there are some security flaws and proposed an improved version (Quantum Inf. Process. 14(11), 4245-4254, 2015). In this study, we will show Zhu et al.'s improvement still exists some security problems, and its efficiency is not high enough. For solving these problems, we utilize four Pauli operations {I, Z, X, Y } to encode two bits instead of the original two operations {I,X} to encode one bit, and then propose an efficient and secure arbitrary N-party quantum key agreement protocol. In the protocol, the channel checking with decoy single photons is introduced to avoid the eavesdropper's flip attack, and a post-measurement mechanism is used to prevent against the collusion attack. Privacy-preserving computational geometry is the research area on the intersection of the domains of secure multi-party computation (SMC) and computational geometry. As an important field, the privacy-preserving geometric intersection (PGI) problem is when each of the multiple parties has a private geometric graph and seeks to determine whether their graphs intersect or not without revealing their private information. In this study, through representing Alice's (Bob's) private geometric graph G_A (G_B) as the set of numbered grids S_A (S_B), an efficient privacy-preserving quantum two-party geometric intersection (PQGI) protocol is proposed. In the protocol, the oracle operation O_A (O_B) is firstly utilized to encode the private elements of S_A=(a_0, a_1, ..., a_(M-1)) (S_B=(b_0, b_1, ..., b_(N-1))) into the quantum states, and then the oracle operation O_f is applied to obtain a new quantum state which includes the XOR results between each element of S_A and S_B. Finally, the quantum counting is introduced to get the amount (t) of the states |a_i+b_j> equaling to |0>, and the intersection result can be obtained by judging t>0 or not. Compared with classical PGI protocols, our proposed protocol not only has higher security, but also holds lower communication complexity.

The delegating private quantum computation (DQC) protocol with the universal quantum gate set $\left\{ {X,Z,H,P,R,CNOT} \right\}$ was firstly proposed by Broadbent \emph{et al.}, and then Tan \emph{et al.} tried to put forward an half-blind DQC protocol (HDQC) with another universal set $\left\{ {H,P,CNOT,T} \right\}$. However, the decryption circuit of \emph{Toffoli} gate (i.e., \emph{T}) is a little redundant, and Tan \emph{et al}.'s protocol exists the information leak. In addition, both of these two protocols just focus on the blindness of data (i.e., the client's input and output), but do not consider the blindness of computation (i.e., the delegated quantum operation). For solving these problems, we propose a full-blind DQC protocol (FDQC) with quantum gate set $\left\{ {H,P,CNOT,T} \right\}$ , where the desirable delegated quantum operation, one of $\left\{ {H,P,CNOT,T} \right\}$ , is replaced by a fixed sequence $\left \{ {H,P,T,CZ,CNOT} \right\}$ to make the computation blind, and the decryption circuit of \emph{Toffoli} gate is also optimized. Analysis shows that our protocol can not only correctly perform any delegated quantum computation, but also holds the characteristics of data blindness and computation blindness., Comment: 9 figures, 13 pages

Relief algorithm is a feature selection algorithm used in binary classification proposed by Kira and Rendell, and its computational complexity remarkable increases with both the scale of samples and the number of features. In order to reduce the complexity, a quantum feature selection algorithm based on Relief algorithm, also called quantum Relief algorithm, is proposed. In the algorithm, all features of each sample are superposed by a certain quantum state through the \emph{CMP} and \emph{rotation} operations, then the \emph{swap test} and measurement are applied on this state to get the similarity between two samples. After that, \emph{Near-hit} and \emph{Near-miss} are obtained by calculating the maximal similarity, and further applied to update the feature weight vector $WT$ to get $WT'$ that determine the relevant features with the threshold $\tau$. In order to verify our algorithm, a simulation experiment based on IBM Q with a simple example is performed. Efficiency analysis shows the computational complexity of our proposed algorithm is \emph{O(M)}, while the complexity of the original Relief algorithm is \emph{O(NM)}, where $N$ is the number of features for each sample, and $M$ is the size of the sample set. In this study, a novel multiparty quantum sealed-bid auction protocol using the single photons as the message carrier of bids is proposed, followed by an example of three-party auction. Compared with those protocols based on the entangled states (GHZ state, EPR pairs, etc.), the present protocol is more economic and feasible within present technology. A two-party quantum private comparison scheme using GHZ states and error-correcting code (ECC) was introduced in Li et al.'s paper [Int. J. Theor. Phys. 52: 2818-2815, 2013], which holds the capability of fault-tolerate and could be performed in a none-ideal scenario. However, this study points out there exists a fatal loophole under a special attack, namely the twice-Hadamard-CNOT attack. A malicious party may intercept the other's particles, firstly executes the Hadamard operations on these intercepted particles and his (her) own ones respectively, and then sequentially performs twice CNOT operations on them and the auxiliary particles prepared in advance. As a result, the secret input will be revealed without being detected through measuring the auxiliary particles. Recently, Bich et al. (Int. J. Theor. Phys. 51: 2272, 2012) proposed two deterministic joint remote state preparation (JRSP) protocols of an arbitrary single-qubit state: one is for two preparers to remotely prepare for a receiver by using two Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (ERP) pairs; the other is its generalized form in the case of arbitrary N>2 preparers via N ERP pairs. In this paper, Through reviewing and analyzing Bich et al.'s second protocols with N>2 preparers, we find that the success probability P_{suc}=1/4 < 1. In order to solve the problem, we firstly constructed two sets of projective measurement bases: the real-coefficient basis and the complex-coefficient one, and further proposed an improved deterministic N-to-one JRSP protocol for an arbitrary single-qubit state with unit success probability (i.e, P_{suc}=1). Recently, Liu et al. [Commun. Theor. Phys. 57, 583, 2012] proposed a quantum private comparison protocol based on entanglement swapping of Bell states, which aims to securely compare the equality of two participants' information with the help of a semi-honest third party (TP). However, this study points out there is a fatal loophole in this protocol, i.e., TP can obtain all of the two participants secret inputs without being detected through making a specific Bell-basis measurement. To fix the problem, a simple solution, which uses one-time eavesdropper checking with decoy photons instead of twice eavesdropper checking with Bell states, is demonstrated.
