AIM: To explore the control effects of wearing orthokeratology lens for 1 a on adolescent myopia patients with different diopters.METHODS: Prospective non-randomized controlled study. A total of 120 adolescent myopic patients(224 eyes), with an average age of 11.00±2.08 years old, who were fitted with orthokeratology lenses in the optometry department of our hospital from November 2022 to May 2023 were collected. There were 3 groups according to the spherical equivalent, including 86 eyes in the group of -0.50--2.00 D, 99 eyes in the group -2.25--4.00 D, and 39 eyes in group -4.25--6.00 D. Patients were followed up for 1 a to observe the changes of uncorrected visual acuity, axial length, corneal curvature, corneal central thickness and corneal endothelial cells density in the three groups after wearing lens for 1 a.RESULTS:A total of 113 cases(212 eyes)were followed up for 1 a, including 82 eyes in the group of -0.50--2.00 D, 95 eyes in the group of -2.25--4.00 D, and 35 eyes in the group of -4.25--6.00 D. There was no statistical difference in corneal central thickness and corneal endothelial cell density among the three groups of patients after wearing lens for 1 a(all P>0.05). Objective To investigate the protective and anti-inflammatory effects of paeonol (PAE) on lipopolysaccharide (LPS) -induced myocarditis in septic mice. Methods A total of 30 male C57/bl-6 mice were randomly divided into 5 groups, with 6 mice in each group: control group, model group (LPS), and low, medium and high dose treatment groups (LPS+PAE). The control group was intraperitoneally injected with 1 mL/kg normal saline, and the other 4 groups were intraperitoneally injected with 10 mg/kg LPS to establish sepsis mouse models. After that, the control group and the model group were intragastrically administered with normal saline 10 mL/kg every day, while the treatment groups were intragastrically administered with PAE 25, 50 and 100 mg/kg for 3 consecutive days, respectively. The protein expression levels of p-P65, BAX, TNF-α and mTOR in myocardial tissue were detected. Hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining was used to observe myocardial fiber swelling, inflammatory cell infiltration and apoptosis. Cardiomyocytes H9C2 were cultured and induced by LPS of 1 μg/mL to establish an inflammatory response model. The cardiomyocytes were treated with PAE of 25, 50, 100 μmol/L. p-P65 expression was detected by immunofluorescence. Results Compared with normal group, TNF-α, BAX, p-P65 and mTOR were increased in model group (P＜0.05). In paeonol treatment groups, TNF-α, BAX, p-P65 and mTOR decreased (P＜0.05). The protein expression levels of p-P65, BAX, TNF-α and mTOR could be significantly decreased in high-dose treatment group (P＜0.05). The myocardium of the model group had more collagen fibers and disordered myocardium structure. Compared with the model group, the high dose paeonol treatment group made the myocardial tissue structure closer to normal. Conclusion Paeonol can protect myocardium and reduce inflammatory damage, and its mechanism may be related to the anti-apoptotic ability of mTOR.

Background HIV/AIDS is associated with depression, which increases the risk of HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND) and reduces patient compliance with antiretroviral therapy (ART), exacerbating the risk of HIV transmission. Few domestic studies have reported on the effectiveness of psychological intervention for depressed patients of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) newly diagnosed and its correlation with CD4+ T cell counts. Objective To explore the effectiveness of psychological intervention for newly diagnosed PLWHA with depression and its correlation with CD4+ T cell counts, providing a reference for AIDS clinical diagnosis and treatment. Methods From April 2020 to June 2022, a convenient sampling method was used to select newly diagnosed PLWHA with depression from some ART-designated hospitals in Jiangxi Province. While they were diagnosed, ART and psychological intervention were immediately initiated, and the total period of intervention was 12 weeks. Before and after the intervention, the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) were used for evaluation, and CD4+ T cell counts were calculated for analysis. Results A total of 200 newly diagnosed PLWHA with depression were included, 178 cases of which were effectively followed up with an effective rate of 89.0%. Among 178 cases, 88 were mild to moderate depression (49.4%), 90 were major depressive disorder (50.6%), and 173 cases were accompanied by anxiety (97.2%). The mean CD4+ T cell count before intervention was (346.39±156.87) cells/μL, and it was (421.93±149.61) cells/μL after intervention. Objective In this study, inbred BALB/c mice infected with the pneumonia virus of mice (PVM) were used to establish an animal model of viral pneumonia, and the changes in the pro-inflammatory alarmin molecule, high mobility group box 1 protein (HMGB1), during PVM infection were observed, as well as the in vivo intervention effects of the HMGB1 inhibitor, glycyrrhizic acid (GA), on PVM-induced lung injury.Methods Three-week-old female BALB/c mice were randomly divided into three groups, each consisting of 6 mice. One group, uninfected by PVM, served as the control group (Control). The other two groups were inoculated intranasally with PVM at a dose of 1×104 50% tissue culture infective dose (TCID50)/25 μL, and subsequently treated with GA saline solution (GA group) or plain saline solution (normal saline, NS group) via gavage for 15 consecutive days. During this period, changes in body weight and appearance were monitored in each group. At the end of the experiment, lung tissue samples were collected from all groups. The distribution of PVM and HMGB1 proteins in the lung tissues was analyzed using hematoxylin-eosin staining and immunohistochemistry. The expression levels of HMGB1 and its Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR-4), advanced glycosylation end-product-specific receptor (AGER), and inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-2, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in lung tissues of mice were measured using real time fluorescence quantitative PCR.Results Compared with the Control group, the NS group showed a significant weight loss after 6 days (P

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of sinus elevation surgery and implant restorationdue to insufficient bone massafter tooth extraction in patients with odontogenic maxillary sinusitis (OMS) and to provide a reference for use in clinical practice. Methods This study was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee, and informed consent was obtained from the patients. Forty-five teeth were extracted from patients with OMS in the maxillary posterior area (the study group). Sinus elevation and implantation were performed due to insufficient bone height in the implant area 6-8 months after tooth extraction in the study group. Forty-eight teeth were extracted from patients without "OMS" in the maxillary posterior area (the control group), and sinus elevation and implantation were performed due to insufficient bone height in the implant area 6-8 months after tooth extraction inthe control group. In the study group, 13 cases of discontinuous maxillary sinus floor bone and residual alveolar bone height of the maxillary sinus floor less than 4 mm were addressed with lateral wall sinus elevation, and the other 32 cases were addressed with crest-approach sinus elevation. In the control group, 8 cases of residual alveolar bone height less than 4 mm in the maxillary sinus floor were addressed with lateral wall sinus,and the other 40 cases were addressed with crest approach sinus elevation. Restorations were placed 6 to 8 months after surgery. The patients were followed up 21 days, 3 months, and 8 months after implantation and every 6 months after the placement of the restorations. The sinus bone gain (SBG), apical bone height (ABL) and marginal bone loss (MBL) were statistically analyzed 24 months after the restoration. Results The average preoperative mucosal thickness in the 45 patients in the study group was (1.556 ± 0.693) mm, which was significantly larger than that in the control group (1.229 ± 0.425) mm (P0.05). Conclusion After the extraction of teeth from patients with OMS, the inflammation of the maxillary sinus decreased, and the bone height and density in the edentulous area were restored to a certain degree. The effects of sinus floor lifting surgery and implant restoration do not differ between patients with and without OMS.

Not without contradiction, the poetry of Alberto Caeiro, of Greco-Pagan aesthetics, which defends the sensitive world as the only reality and insists on the use of the five senses as the only possible way of acquiring knowledge, can only be better understood when read against the backdrop of a Christian worldview. Based on a reading of the Christian myth of the Fall of man, the article analyses the fundamental contradictions of Caeiro's poetic project, categorically contesting his "bucolic naivety". Through reflections on human self-consciousness and the naturalness or artificiality of "(not) to think", together with a look at the ontology of language, we argue that, according to Caeiro, the human condition is essentially a contradiction, and that the apology of the "sensations" in his poetry does not stem from a naïve hedonism, but can be considered an alternative way to rescue man from the prosaic world, restoring him to an Edenic vision.

Narrow-band, high-color-purity luminescent materials are widely used in the fields of ultra-high-definition display and lighting, super-resolution imaging and sensing, bio-imaging and anti-counterfeiting. However, the high-color-purity fluorescent materials mainly used are Ⅱ-Ⅳ semiconductor quantum dots, halide perovskite nanocrystals and so on, which generally contains highly toxic transition metal ions such as Cd and Pb. Moreover, these materials often show low environmental stability. In contrast, carbon dots have many advantages including no heavy metal ions, high photo/chemical stability, low toxicity and wide source of raw materials. Therefore, developing fluorescent carbon dots with high-color-purity has important theoretical and practical significance. Here, the research progress of the synthesis and application of high-color-purity carbon dots was reviewed; the effects of precursor, synthetic methods and some factors on the position and the full width at half maximum of the carbon dots and the application in the field of LED, sensing and imaging were discussed. Additionally, the opportunities and challenges of high-color-purity carbon dots in large-scale synthesis, optical properties including the tune of PL position, the enhancement of the fluorescent quantum yield and color purity, understanding their photoluminescence mechanism as well as developing new applications were proposed.

ObjectiveTo ascertain the causes of a food poisoning incident and provide references for the prevention of similar incidents in the future.MethodsCase investigation was conducted through field epidemiological investigation methods， and suspicious meals and foods were searched by the analytical epidemiological method. A food hygiene investigation was conducted in the establishment involved and samples of suspicious food， processing steps， and cases were collected for laboratory testing.ResultsA total of 91 individuals meeting the case definition were identified， resulting in an attack rate of 14.97% （91/608）. The main clinical manifestations included abdominal pain （97.80%）， diarrhea （84.62%）， nausea （62.64%）， vomiting （72.53%）， fever （12.09%）， and increased white blood cells （90.11%）. The peak incidence occurred from 16：00 to 18：00 on June 15. The epidemic curve showed a point-source exposure pattern， with an incubation period of 1 h minimum and 10 h maximum， and an average of 5 h. Analytical epidemiological studies indicated that lunch on June 15 was the suspicious meal （χ2=38.78， P

The aim of this study is to explore the prognostic value of vascular invasion (VI) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) by searching for competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNA) network and constructing a new prognostic model for HCC. The differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between HCC and normal tissues were identified from GEO and TCGA. StarBase and miRanda prediction tools were applied to construct a circRNA-miRNA-mRNA network. The DEGs between HCC with and without VI were also identified. Then, the hub genes were screened to build a prognostic risk score model through the method of least absolute shrinkage and selection operator. The prognostic ability of the model was assessed using the Kaplan−Meier method and Cox regression analysis. In result, there were 221 up-regulated and 47 down-regulated differentially expressed circRNAs (DEcircRNAs) in HCC compared with normal tissue. A circRNA-related ceRNA network was established, containing 11 DEcircRNAs, 12 DEmiRNAs, and 161 DEmRNAs. Meanwhile, another DEG analysis revealed 625 up-regulated and 123 down-regulated DEGs between HCC with and without VI, and then a protein–protein interaction (PPI) network was built based on 122 VI-related DEGs. From the intersection of DEGs within the PPI and ceRNA networks, we obtained seven hub genes to build a novel prognostic risk score model. HCC patients with high-risk scores had shorter survival time and presented more advanced T/N/M stages as well as VI occurrence. In conclusion a novel prognostic model based on seven VI-associated DEGs within a circRNA-related ceRNA network was constructed in this study, with great ability to predict the outcome of HCC patients.

Objective To investigate the mechanisms of 1, 25(OH)2D3 on joint inflammation and bone destruction in a mouse model of collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). Methods Thirty DBA/1J mice were equally allocated into control, CIA and intervention (VD) groups. The CIA model was established in the mice in the CIA group and VD group, meanwhile the VD group was treated with 1, 25(OH)2D3. The thickness of the hindfoot paws was measured with vernier caliper. Micro-CT scanning was used to measure bone mineral density (BMD) of the hindfoot paw, ELISA was employed to detect the serum levels of 1, 25(OH)2D3 and proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α), and flow cytometry was performed to calculate the ratio of Th17 to Treg cells in the spleen. The pathological changes of the knee joint were observed with HE staining. Western blotting was applied to detect the expression levels of osteoprotegerin (OPG), receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL), NF-κB, and vitamin D receptor (VDR) in mouse ankle joints. Results 1, 25(OH)2D3 did not reduce the incidence of CIA in the of mice in the VD group, but significantly reduced joint inflammation. Obviously decreased thickness of the hindfoot paw, arthritis score, and knee histological synovitis score (HSS) were observed in the VD group than the CIA group (all P < 0.05). The CIA group presented more serious bone destruction and lower BMD and bone volume fraction (BV/TV) when compared with the VD group (both P < 0.05). The serum levels of IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α and ratio of Th17/Treg cells in the VD group were statistically lower than those in the CIA group (all P < 0.05). Compared with the CIA group, the VD group had notably higher protein levels of VDR and OPG, lower levels of NF-κB and RANKL, and reduced RANKL/OPG ratio in the ankle joint (all P < 0.05). Conclusion 1, 25(OH)2D3 may alleviate arthritic inflammation and suppress bone destruction in the mouse CIA model via regulating the Th17/Treg ratio and the RANKL/OPG axis.

BackgroundSuicide is one of the serious public health problems worldwide. The relationship between suicide and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio （NLR） may vary in different regions and different age. It is necessary to further investigate the relationship between NLR and suicidal ideation in Chinese children and adolescents with depression.ObjectiveTo explore the correlation between NLR and suicidal ideation in children and adolescents with depression， so as to provide clues for exploring the biomarkers of suicide.MethodsA retrospective analysis of 536 children and adolescents with depression who were hospitalized in the Third People's Hospital of Fuyang from January 2020 to December 2022 and met the diagnostic criteria of the International Classification of Diseases， tenth edition （ICD-10） was performed. Patients were divided into two groups according to whether they reported suicidal ideation. Demographic data， discharge diagnosis， Hamilton Depression Scale-17 item （HAMD-17） score and hematological test data （neutrophil counts， lymphocyte counts） on the second day were collected from medical records. Receiver operating characteristic （ROC） curve was used to determine the optimal cut-off point of NLR for predicting suicidal ideation in children and adolescents with depression， and binary Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors for suicidal ideation.ResultsAmong the 536 patients， 429 cases （80.04%） had no suicidal ideation， and 107 cases （19.96%） had suicidal ideation. Objective To investigate the efficacy and effects on cognitive function and sleep quality of Buqi Wenyang Dingkuang Decoction in treatment of mania patients with upfloating of asthenia yang type. Methods A total of 100 patients with mania who were hospitalized between January 2020 and January 2022 in the Affiliated Brain Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method (n=50, each) . Both group was given valproate sustained-release tablets and quetiapine tablets treatment, and the observation group was added with Buqi Wenyang Dingkuang Decoction. The treatment course of the 2 groups was 4 weeks. Treatment efficacy and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between two groups. The primary syndrome score, Clinical Global Impressions Scale (CGI) score, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score and Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) score before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate was higher in the observation group than in the control group (90.00% vs 72.00%, χ2=5.263, P＜0.05) . The scores of mania, thirst not to drink, and limb cold at 4 weeks of treatment in the 2 groups were lower than those before treatment (P＜0.05) , and those of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P＜0.01) . The BRMS scale score, CGI score, and PSQI scale score of the 2 groups at 4 weeks of treatment were lower than those before treatment (P＜0.01) , and the above-mentioned scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group (P＜0.01) . The scores of immediate memory, spatial structure, attention, verbal function, and delayed memory in the 2 groups at 4 weeks of treatment were higher than those at pretreatment (P＜0.01) , and the scores in the observation group after treatment were higher than those in the control group (P＜0.05) . Fewer adverse reactions were observed in the observation group than those in the control group (8.00% vs 26.00%, P＜0.05) . Conclusion Buqi Wenyang Dingkuang Decoction has a certain effect on mania patients with upfloating of asthenia yang type, and can significantly improve their cognitive function and sleep quality.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of far infrared radiation heating on the oxidase activity and conformation of polyphenol oxidase (PPO) of yam. Methods: By using different far infrared radiation temperatures, the effects of different far infrared radiation temperatures on yam PPO activity, browning degree, total phenol content and PPO conformation were studied. Results: When the radiation temperature is 260 ℃ PPO enzyme is not deactivated after 11 min. When the radiation temperature is higher than 260 ℃, PPO can be inactivated within 3~7 min. However, the browning degree and total phenol content did not change regularly with the increase of radiation temperature and treatment time. After far-infrared pretreatment, the contents of random curling and α-helix changed slightly with the increase of radiation temperature, while β-angle decreased and β-folding increased, indicating that far-infrared radiation changed the secondary structure of PPO. The ultraviolet spectrum of PPO shifted blue and fluorescence spectrum shifted red, indicating that the tertiary structure of PPO changed. Conclusion: Far-infrared radiation heating can change the conformation of yam PPO and eventually deactivate it.

From the perspective of the application of headspace solid-phase microextraction-mass spectrometry coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry （HS-SPME-GC-MS） technology in the detection of volatile substances in fruit products, this paper discusses its important position and significance in fruit flavor detection. This paper briefly outlines the principles and characteristics of headspace solid-phase microextraction-mass spectrometry coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and highlights the progress of its research on volatile substances in different kinds of fruit raw materials, stored and preserved fruits as well as fruit processed products such as fruit juice, fruit wine, and fruit tea, and also provides an outlook on the research direction of headspace solid-phase microextraction-mass spectrometry coupled with gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in fruit flavor detection.

Abstract Background Frailty is a marker of poor prognosis in older adults with hematologic malignancies and contributes to the severe vulnerability of the aging population to adverse health outcomes. This study aimed to determine the association between frailty and outcomes in hospitalized patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Methods The International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) identified data on hospitalized patients 20 years or older admitted with CML between 2016 and 2018 in the US National Inpatient Sample (NIS) database. The cohort was further divided into groups of patients with or without frailty. Logistic regression analysis was performed to determine associations between study variables and clinical outcomes. A stratified analysis of the association between frailty and in-hospital mortality by age group was also performed. Results A total of 13,849 hospitalized patients with CML were included, 49.6% of whom had frailty. The mean age of the patients was 65.1 years, and 7,619 (56.2%) of them were male. Frailty was associated with nearly 4 times the risk of in-hospital mortality, 3 times the risk of unfavorable discharge, 3 times the risk of prolonged LOS,, and significantly more in total hospital costs. In addition, frailty was associated with a significantly increased risk of in-hospital mortality in all age subgroups ( 60 years) compared with no frailty. Conclusions Frailty strongly predicts poor clinical outcomes in US patients with CML.

Innovative English teaching resources will inevitably result from the use of media technology in the classroom. This article will examine the new approach to teaching English in college from the standpoint of teaching resources. In order to establish a new mode of English teaching in higher education institutions based on personalized recommendation of teaching resources, this paper proposes two recommendation algorithms: one is content-based, and the other is collaborative filtering. The algorithm is enhanced by combining it with the design of multimedia English teaching resources. The influence of hit rate and MAE values prior to and following the cooperative filtering recommendation method is examined. The distinction between the pre-and post-test results of the experimental and control courses is analyzed and compared to conclude the examination of the impact of the novel model of teaching college English. The analysis indicates that the improved recommendation algorithm has a 4.85% higher hit rate than the traditional collaborative filtering algorithm. The improved recommendation algorithm is more accurate than the traditional recommendation algorithm, as suggested by this.

This paper focuses on the use of feature extraction techniques as well as parameter estimation to analyze the immediate pressing tactics in soccer games. The motion target detection method is used to capture the movements of the soccer player. By setting the rotation angle of the point cloud, the soccer movement action is represented in the form of a coordinate system. By combining the inter-frame difference method and setting the motion image threshold, the motion target can be obtained. Utilize Hu moments to extract the features of soccer motion. Combine the center of mass and velocity of soccer motion to reduce the error rate of motion feature extraction. Pairwise quaternions are utilized to represent soccer motion parameters to improve motion estimation. The results show that the soccer team has the greatest success rate of practicing immediate pressing tactics in 3s-4s, and the success rate of applying immediate pressing tactics after 4s is significantly lower. Team C has the highest success rate of huddling with defensive immediate pressing tactics, which reaches 56.1%. The success rate of huddling is closest to that of team A and team B, which are 43.54% and 43.97%, respectively.

Incorporating American voice singing in singing and vocal music teaching has always been a problem with no standards and excessive teacher subjectivity. In this paper, based on a convolutional neural network, the American voice features are extracted using Mel spectrum, and the CBAM attention module is introduced to refine the American voice features and improve the influence of background noise on American voice extraction. The emotional features extracted under different scale frame lengths are feature fused to build a neural network model of multi-scale feature fusion to quantitatively evaluate the students’ American voice singing. After obtaining the consent of the leadership of a university, it was put into use in its music department to score the students by analyzing the status of their pronunciation of American vowels, consonants, and legato, and output the problems that the students had in a specific bar. The results showed that the more frames in the input vector, the more correct the model was, 89.32 ± 0.21 for 20 frames, increasing to 90.05 ± 1.32 for 40 frames. Student 1 scored 0.654 for American vowel pitch and 0.643 for consonants. Student 10 had the highest vowel pitch with a score of 0.718. Vowel scores were generally around 0.6. Students had the highest wavelength of 0.61, which does not correspond well with the original score. This study shows the direction for the strategy of integrating American singing into the vocal program and promoting the healthy development of vocal teaching.

ObjectiveTo learn the epidemiological features of foodborne diseases， and to provide scientific basis for disease control.MethodsThe monitoring data of foodborne diseases in Minhang from 2016 to 2020 were analyzed. Stool or swab specimens were collected to detect salmonella， Vibrio parahaemolyticus， Escherichia coli， Shigella， Campylobacter jejuni and norovirus.ResultsThe information of 15 951 foodborne disease cases and 11 176 samples were collected， with the positive rate of 12.03%.The cases with diarrhea accounted for 99.90% of the total. The cases with fever accounted for 14.70% of the total. The cases with water stool accounted for 89.70% of the total. May to October were the epidemic periods of foodborne diseases in Minhang（79.78%）. The detection rate was the highest in the 30‒39 age group and cadre staff occupation（13.53%，13.49%）. The detection rates of foodborne bacteria and virus were 5.39% （Vibrio parahaemolyticus）， 3.25% （salmonella），1.44% （norovirus）， 1.06%（Escherichia coli）， 0.56% （Campylobacter jejuni）， 0.34% （mixed infection） and 0% （Shigella）. During this 5-year period， the positive rate of Vibrio parahaemolyticus decreased significantly， while the positive rate of salmonella and Escherichia coli and Campylobacter jejuni increased significantly. The main suspected food were aquatic products （29.44%）， meat （25.80%） and fruits （10.78%）. The main processing methods of suspected food were family workshop （41.12%） and restaurants （37.55%）. The total detection rate of the cases was the highest in the canteen， reaching 20.51%.ConclusionFoodborne disease cases have a seasonal peak. Abstract Background Intensive care unit (ICU) nurses are at high risk of burnout and warranting attention. Existing literature found that work frustration was related to burnout, whilst perceived organization support influenced the association of work frustration with burnout. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of work frustration and burnout among ICU nurses, and to examine the moderating effect of perceived organization support in their relationship. Methods The cross-sectional study was conducted with a convenience sample of 479 ICU nurses from several 3 tertiary hospitals during December 2021 to May 2022. The Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human services survey (MBI-HSS), National Aeronautics and Space Administration Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) and perceived organization support Scale (POSS) were used to collect data. Lately, utilizing a novel electrically rechargeable liquid fuel (e-fuel), a fuel cell has been designed and fabricated, which is demonstrated to achieve a much better performance than alcoholic liquid fuel cells do. However, its current performance, which thus hampers its wide application, demands further improvement to meet up with industrial requirement. Therefore, to attain a better performance for this system, an in-depth understanding of the complex physical and chemical processes within this fuel cell is essential. To this end, in this work, a two-dimensional transient model has been developed to gain an extensive knowledge of a passive e-fuel cell and analyze the major factors limiting its performance. The effects of various structural parameters and operating conditions are studied to identify the underlying performance-limiting factors, where deficient mass transport is found to be one of the major causes. The increment of anode porosity and thickness are found to be effective methods of improving the cell performance. This study therefore provides insights on achieving further performance advancement of the fuel cell in the future.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effect of Antarctic krill oil on zebrafish model of depression. Methods: The zebrafish (Danio rerio) model of depression was induced by 40 mg/L reserpine, and five groups, i.e., blank control group, model group, fluoxetine group, low-dose krill oil group and high-dose krill oil group were investigated and compared, buy using new tank test (NTT) and light dark box test (LDB). The central nervous system serotonin (5-HT), dopamine (DA), monoamine oxidase A (MAO-A) Interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) and systemic cortisol (COR) levels of the five groups were analyzed. Results: Reserpine 40 mg/L caused depressive behavior in zebrafish, while the addition of prawn oil reduced the this behavior, by increasing the levels of monoamine neurotransmitters including 5-HT and DA in the brain and decreasing the levels of MAO-A, IL-6 and TNF-α proinflammatory factors and systemic COR levels. Conclusion: Antarctic krill oil can improve the depression of zebrafish by reducing neuroinflammation and regulating neuroendocrine.

This article reports the digestibility, antioxidant activity, and protein structure of treated egg white protein powder (EWP) after pretreatment with electron beam irradiation (EBI) at doses of 5‒100 kGy. The results revealed that EWP exhibited excellent in vitro digestibility under the tested EBI dose conditions. After EBI pretreatment, the treated EWP digestibility of the treated sample was slightly higher than that of the untreated sample. When EWP wais treated at 100 kGy EBI, the EWP in vitro digestibility was high, reaching up to (99.30 ± 0.53)%. The EWP digestion solution exhibited high antioxidation capacities of ABTS•+ radical scavenging activity (˃80%), Fe2+ chelation ability (˃70%), and •OH radical scavenging activity (~40%). Circular dichroism and fluorescence spectrum analyses indicated differences in the surface hydrophobicity and secondary structure of the EWP protein at the tested EBI doses. The protein peptides of the EWP digestion solution observed via sodium dodecyl-sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis were close to 25 kDa and 10 kDa. We believe that this study provides technical support for future practical applications of EBI in protein food-processing fields.

Objective: This study aimed to explore the effects of different drying methods on the volatile components of taro slices. Methods: Volatile compound composition and volatile characteristics of five different drying methods of dried taro slices were studied. Taro and the ones dried by five drying methods, i.e. hot-air drying (HAD), contact-ultrasound enhanced hot-air drying (CU-HAD), far-infrared radiation drying (FIRD), contact-ultrasound enhanced far-infrared radiation drying (CU-FIRD) and freeze drying (FD)，were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) with water-vapor distillation method. Volatile components were analyzed in conjunction with principal component analysis (PCA). Results: A total of 149 volatile compounds were detected in the fresh, pretreated, and dried taro slices, including 54 kinds of alkanes, 20 kinds of esters, 18 kinds of heterocyclic groups, 12 kinds of alcohols, 11 kinds of ketones, 11 kinds of olefins, 8 kinds of aldehydes, 4 kinds of acids and 13 kinds of other compounds. Using the area normalization method, it could be concluded that the volatile components of dried taro slices with different drying methods were mainly heterocyclic compounds and esters. Taro slices treated with HAD had the least volatile components which were only 42 species, followed by the FIRD--treatments, with 46 kinds of volatile components . Although CU-HAD treated taro had more volatile components, most of them were hydrocarbons, which contributed less to the flavor of taro. Cu-FIRD and FD treated taro had similar overall components, but CU-FIRD took the shortest time. Combined with results of PCA, CU-FIRD showed the best retention and processing effect of volatile components in taro. Conclusion: The combination of direct contact ultrasound and far-infrared radiation heating had better protective effect on the flavor of taro than that of single ultrasound and single far-infrared radiation.

ObjectiveTo apply rapid identification of water-injected and gum-injected pork by chemometrics analysis combined with low field nuclear magnetic resonance.Methods17 variables obtained by low field nuclear magnetic resonance were used to extract principal components by principal component analysis， and 4 principal components were identified by discriminate analysis. A three-layer MLP neural network model with a structure of 17-6-3 was established through constrained optimization modeling using 17 original variables as input， and the types of water-injected pork and gum-injected pork as output.ResultsIn the discriminate analysis model， the discriminant accuracy of cross-validation in the control group， water-injected group and gum-injected group was 60/60， 91/95 and 359/384， and the total correct discriminant rate was 94.6%. In the neural network model， the total correct discriminant rate of 179 samples in the testing set was 97.8%.ConclusionLow-field nuclear magnetic resonance combined with discriminate analysis model and neural network model can effectively distinguish water-injected and gum-injected pork. The method is simple and can be used for rapid detection.

We replaced wheat flour by superfine mulberry leaf powder at 5%, 10%, 15%, 20 % and 25% to make dough and steamed bread. The effect of superfine mulberry leaf powder on farinographical properties of dough and quality of steamed bread were studied. The results showed that partial substitution of wheat flour with superfine mulberry leaf powder could improve the water absorption of dough. The dough stability showed the transformation rule of first increasingand then decreasing with the mass increasing of mulberry leaf powder. When the substitution rate exceeds 15%, the dough stability time significantly reduced and the degree of softening significantly increased. Steamed bread quality research results showed that with the increase of mulberry leaf powder level, bread specific volume declined, the height-diameter ratio firstly increased and then decreased, and the bread hardness and adhesion increased. With the addition of 15% of superfine mulberry leaf powder, mulberry leaf steamed bread showed a green color and had a higher overall sensory quality. Staling results showed that the mulberry leaf powder reduced hardening rate of steamed bread and could effectively delay the staling rate of steamed bread during storage. The above experiment showed that steamed bread with 15% superfine mulberry leaf powder had a higher overall sensory acceptance with the best quality.

The combustion of biomass fuel boilers not only produces inorganic pollutants such as carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, sulfur compounds, but also organic pollutants such as VOCs and PAHs, which directly affect the global biogeochemical cycle and atmospheric changes. Compared with foreign countries, there is relatively less research and related standards on the emission of organic pollutants from biomass fuel boilers in China. Therefore, it is necessary to study the emission characteristics of organic pollutants from biomass boilers, which can provide reference for the establishment of organic pollutant emission standards for biomass fuel boilers in China.The emission characteristics of volatile organic compounds(VOCs) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) organic pollutants in the flue gas of three typical biomass-fired boilers in Chongqing were studied, and the emission concentrations of particulate matter, sulfur dioxides(SO2), and nitrogen oxides(NOX) were measured.The results show that the sulfur dioxide emissions from the three types of biomass-fired boilersrs are lower than the local standards in Chongqing, while nitrogen oxides and particulate matter have a phenomenon of exceeding the emission limits of the local standards in Chongqing. The main components of VOCs emitted from biomass powder and biomass particle combustion are OVOCs and aromatic hydrocarbons, while the main components of VOCs emitted from wood biomass combustion are alkynes. The gas-solid distribution pattern of PAHs during the combustion of three types of biomass is basically consistent. Low ring PAHs are mainly enriched in the gas phase, while medium and high ring PAHs are mainly enriched in particulate matter.

In order to improve air quality and reduce haze, Chongqing has raised the nitrogen oxide emission requirements of gas industrial boilers, reduced the emission limits, and promoted a large number of low-nitrogen transformations of industrial boilers in Chongqing. In this paper, the main generation mechanism of nitrogen oxides and different technical schemes of low nitrogen transformation were introduced. Six representative industrial boilers were selected to carry out low nitrogen transformation based on FGR technology, and nitrogen oxide emission under the reference oxygen content, smoke exhaust temperature, thermal efficiency and actual output of boilers before and after the transformation were compared and tested. The test results show that the actual output of industrial boilers can be reduced and the energy consumption of boilers can be increased by using FGR low nitrogen technology.

Energy conservation and emission reduction constitute pivotal measures for advancing China’s high-quality development. Since 2020, the “Dual Carbon” initiative, encompassing carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, has emerged as a cornerstone of China’s national strategy. Carbon emissions throughout the lifecycle of buildings in the building sector exceed half of all energy-related carbon emissions. Understanding and managing carbon emission pathways and patterns, particularly in the context of energy-efficient green buildings, stands as a critical imperative within the current building industry. This study employs various scenario models to calculate and analyze the potential benefits of promoting green building applications under different scenarios. It also investigates how energy conservation primarily contributes to reducing carbon emissions.

The conversion of oxides into metals is one of the key steps in the dry reprocessing of spent oxide fuel using the molten salt electrorefining method. In this study, in the CaCl2-NaCl molten salt system, graphite rods were used as anodes, and the high-temperature sintered ZrO2 flakes were simulated UO2 cathode. Besides, the FFC Cambridge process conditions of electro-deoxidation to prepare metal zirconium in CaCl2-NaCl molten salt were optimized. The effects of electrolysis process conditions(cell voltage, electrolysis time, sintering temperature, and electrolysis temperature, etc.) on the preparation of Zr by electro-deoxidation was studied systematically. SEM and XRD were utilized to analyze the microstructure and phase composition of the ZrO2 cathode before and after electrolysis, respectively. The optimized process conditions are voltage of 3.4 V, electrolysis time of 12 h, sintering temperature of 900 ℃, and electrolysis temperature of 722 ℃. At the same time, the intermediate products CaZrO3 and ZrO are found in the conversion of ZrO2 into Zr.

The heat shock transcription factors (HSFs) family is widely present in eukaryotes including plants. Recent studies have indicated that HSF is a multifunctional group of genes involved in plant growth and development, as well as response to abiotic stresses. Here we combined the bioinformatic, molecular biology way to dissect the function of Hsf, specifically HsfB4 in wheat under abiotic stresses. In this study, we identified 78 TaHSF genes in wheat (Triticum aestivum) and analyzed their phylogenetic relationship and expression regulation motifs. Next, the expression profiles of TaHSFs and AtHSFs were analyzed in different tissues as well as in response to abiotic stress. Furthermore, to explore the role of HSFB4 in abiotic stress response, we cloned TaHSFB4-2B from the wheat variety, Chinese Spring. Subcellular localization analysis showed that TaHSFB4-2B was localized in the nucleus. In addition, We observed TaHSFB4-2B was highly expressed in the root and stem, its transcription was induced under long-term heat shock, cold, and salinity stress. Additionally, overexpression of TaHSFB4-2B suppressed seed germination and growth in Arabidopsis with salinity and mannitol treatment. It also modulated the expression of stress-responsive genes, including AtHSP17.8, AtHSP17.6A, AtHSP17.6C, CAT2, and SOS1, under both normal and stress conditions. From these finding, we propose that TaHSFB4-2B act as a negative regulator of abiotic stress response in the plant.
