Objective To evaluate clinical efficacy of chiropractic combined with core muscle strength training in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain. Methods One hundred and twenty patients with chronic non-specific low back pain were randomly divided into chiropractic group （n = 40），combined group （n=39） and conventional group （n=41）. Patients in each group were treated with short wave and ultrasound. Chiropractic therapy was added in chiropractic group，and chiropractic combined with core muscle strength training was supplemented in combined group. The changes of numerical rating scale （NRS） score，Oswestry disability index （ODI），Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire （RMDQ） of low back pain and temperature difference between two sides of spinous process before and after corresponding treatment were compared among three groups. Results After treatment，NRS score，ODI index，RMDQ evaluation of low back pain and temperature difference in combined group were improved up to 2.06±0.63，13.00±3.53 and 6.25±1.20，significantly better than 2.44±0.84，17.11±4.41 and 9.42±2.49 in chiropractic group，4.03±0.82，21.31±5.68 and 11.09±2.78 in conventional group，and the differences were statistically significant （all P<0.05）. Conclusion On the basis of routine treatment，chiropractic combined with core muscle strength training can mitigate relevant symptoms and improve the quality of life of patients with chronic non-specific low back pain，which can be further promoted and applied in clinical treatment.

In order to investigate the effect of electrocoagulation on desulfurization wastewater and its role as reverse osmosis pretreatment technology，the desulfurization wastewater was pretreated by electrocoagulation. Furthermore，the effects of key parameters on the removal efficiency were investigated. Then the reverse osmosis method was used to further treat the effluent，and the membrane performance with and without electrocoagulation was compared. The floc and cathode deposition were tested by characterization technique to study the electrocoagulation mechanism. The results showed that using Fe-Al anode，large removal efficiency could be achieved within a short time. The optimum conditions were as follows：electrocoagulation time 60 min，initial pH=8，current density 8 mA/cm2.Pollutants were removed by oxidation，reduction and flocculation. Using electrocoagulation before reverse osmosis，the membrane flux stabled at 36.4 L/（m2·h） and the removal efficiency of zinc，lead，magnesium，calcium and chloride ions by electrocoagulation-reverse osmosis process were 99.5%，99.3%，95.3%，91.0% and 80.2% respectively. Electrocoagulation pretreatment could effectively reduce membrane pollution and improve the efficiency of reverse osmosis of desulfurization wastewater. The experimental results showed that the electrocoagulation was effective in the treatment of desulfurization wastewater. As a pretreatment step of reverse osmosis，it could effectively reduce membrane pollution and improve efficiency.

Cellulose acetate oleate (CAO)-reinforced poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT) composites were prepared by the solvent casting method. The influence of the addition of CAO on the mechanical property, thermal property, disintegration property, compatibility, and hydrophobicity of PBAT/CAO composites was investigated. Compared with PBAT, the tensile strength and Young’s modulus of PBAT/CAO with 4 wt% CAO were increased by 9.5% and 25.7%, and the disintegration rate was also increased by 2.8 times. The results of morphological property, contact angle, and water vapor transmission indicated that the PBAT/CAO composites had good interfacial interaction and compatibility, and the hydrophobicity was improved. PBAT/CAO was applied to strawberry preservation, and it showed excellent freshness retention performance. Moreover, a possible degradation pathway for PBAT/CAO composite was proposed. This work provided a way for the preparation and performance improvement of biodegradable materials, which is expected to be applied in the packaging field.

Background/Aim: Although previous studies have revealed the influence of the mandibular third molar (M3) on mandibular condylar fracture risk and that the presence of M3 could result in different incidences of condylar and angle fractures, there have been no analyses of the influence of M3 on fracture patterns. Moreover, evaluations of M3 position using panoramic radiography have shown insufficient accuracy. This study investigated the relationship between condylar fracture patterns and M3 position using panoramic radiography and computed tomography. Materials and Methods: This retrospective study included 280 patients with unilateral mandibular condylar fractures and ipsilateral M3 admitted to West China Hospital of Stomatology between January 2016 and June 2022. Patient medical records, panoramic radiographs, and computed tomography images were collected. The vertical and horizontal positions of M3 were classified using the Pell and Gregory system. M3 angulation was defined as the angle between the long axis of M3 and the mandibular occlusal plane. Condylar fracture patterns were classified as intracapsular (Types A–C) or extracapsular (neck and base). Data were analyzed using McNemar–Bowker test, Pearson chi‐squared test, and Fisher's exact test. Results: Classification of M3 position differed significantly between panoramic radiography and computed tomography images (p <.05). There was a significant association between the mandibular condylar fracture pattern and M3 horizontal position on computed tomography (p <.05). Class I M3 position on computed tomography was associated with a higher incidence of intracapsular than extracapsular fractures, along with a higher incidence of Type B than base fractures; the opposite relationships were observed for Class II. No such association was identified on panoramic radiography. Conclusions: Mandibular condylar fracture patterns were presumably influenced by M3 horizontal position on computed tomography. The imaging modality affected the classification of M3 position and subsequent analyses. Computed tomography is recommended for future studies to improve accuracy and reliability.
