In this research, we first fabricated Fe3O4@Dop-Triazine-CuCl2 nanocatalyst by simple method, then its catalytic activity was investigated in the preparation of various derivatives of aryl-heteroaryl and di-heteroaryl selenides through C–Se coupling reactions of aryl iodides with powder selenium and various derivatives of heterocyclic compounds (with active C–H bonds). The catalyst exhibited spherical morphology with a diameter of approximately 20–30 nm and a magnetic saturation moment of 50.032 emu/g. The hydrocarbon content was measured to be around 12% by weight. In this method, a wide range of aryl-heteroaryl and di-heteroaryl selenides (36 examples) were synthesized with high yields (85–97%) using catalytic amount of the Fe3O4@Dop-Triazine-CuCl2 nanomaterial in the presence of KHCO3 in [BMIM]PF6 as solvent. This method has several remarkable features, which can be mentioned as follows: the synthesis of aryl-heteroaryl and di-heteroaryl selenide derivatives with high yields, performing the reactions in a suitable time (4 h), the applicability of this catalytic system for a wide range of substrates, the use of ionic liquid as solvent, high efficiency of Fe3O4@Dop-Triazine-CuCl2 catalyst, simple separation and high reusability of nanocatalyst. Objective: To construct a nomogram for predicting the responsiveness of cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) in patients with chronic heart failure and verify its predictive efficacy. Method: A retrospective study was conducted including 109 patients with chronic heart failure who successfully received CRT from January 2018 to December 2022. According to patients after six months of the CRT preoperative improving acuity in the left ventricular ejection fraction is 5% or at least improve grade 1 NYHA heart function classification, divided into responsive group and non-responsive group. Clinical data of patients were collected, and LASSO regression analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to explore relative factors. A nomogram was constructed, and the predictive performance of the nomogram was evaluated using the calibration curve and decision curve analysis (DCA). Results: Among the 109 patients, 61 were assigned to the CRT-responsive group, while 48 were assigned to the non-responsive group. LASSO regression analysis showed that left ventricular end-systolic volume, diffuse fibrosis, and left bundle branch block (LBBB) were independent factors for CRT responsiveness in patients with heart failure (P < 0.05). Based on the above three predictive factors, a nomogram was constructed. The ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.865 (95% CI 0.794–0.935). The calibration curve analysis showed that the predicted probability of the nomogram is consistent with the actual occurrence rate. DCA showed that the line graph model has an excellent clinical net benefit rate. Conclusion: The nomogram constructed based on clinical features, laboratory, and imaging examinations in this study has high discrimination and calibration in predicting CRT responsiveness in patients with chronic heart failure. Background: White matter lesion (WML) is common in aging brain and is associated with cognitive impairment and dementia. However, recent studies reported an association between patent foramen ovale (PFO) and WML in migraineurs, especially in young, middle-aged migraineurs. Our retrospective, case-control study aims to describe the clinical characteristics of WML in this population and to explore potential risk factors. Methods: 226 patients with migraine and PFO were consecutively initially screened. Relevant factors were selected by the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) regression and multivariable logistic regression model. A Nomogram was employed to visualize the prediction model conveniently. The discrimination and calibration abilities were evaluated using the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve, the Hosmer-Lemeshow test, and calibration curves. Results: One hundred and nineteen participants were ultimately enrolled in our study, with a median age of 36.9 ± 12.7 years and 80.7% of females. Brain magnetic resonance imaging MRI showed 67 (56.3%) patients had WML, whereas 52 (43.7%) patients were categorized into the non-WML group. LASSO regression screened out potential variables and subsequent multivariate analysis finally identified age, mean platelet volume, and fibrinogen (FIB) as independent predictive factors of WML. The area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.807. Hosmer-Lemeshow test and calibration curve verified a consistency between the predicted and actual probability. Conclusion: The predictive nomogram established and validated in our study may assist clinicians in screening WML among young middle-aged migraineurs with PFO and developing individualized preventive and treatment strategies. Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease characterized by loss of memory and cognition. In this review article, three main pathogenesis of AD were described: Amyloid-beta hypothesis, Tau protein hyperphosphorylation and Neurotransmitter decrease hypothesis. Specifically, amyloid-beta accumulation can be detrimental for nervous system for Amyloid-beta hypothesis, while Tau protein hyperphosphorylation can cause the breakdown of nerve cells. With regard to Neurotransmitter decrease hypothesis, it is deemed as the direct reason to cause Alzheimer’s disease. On top of that, mainstream treatments therapy and their features, advantages and disadvantages are discussed. Firstly, medicine treatments corresponding to its pathogenesis are introduced. Secondly, gene therapy is also demonstrated which alleviates Alzheimer’s disease be means of gene modification, inactivation and immune regulation. Finally, the stem cells therapy is also described as well as other therapies. Based on our analysis, combined therapy should be put into practice to achieve a better effect. Moreover, more knowledge about AD pathogenesis is required for researchers, which provides theoretical basis and reference for treatments. These results shed light for future research of AD.

Objective: To compare the recent efficacy and safety of different Amplatzer models and similar occluder in the treatment of patent foramen ovale (PFO)., Methods: Patients with PFO complicated with cryptogenic stroke or migraine who underwent transcatheter closure of PFO in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from September 2019 to March 2021 were selected. Patients were grouped according to the type of occluder device. The basic data of the patients were collected and followed up within 1 year after occlusion. Effectiveness was defined as no recurrence of stroke/remission of migraine symptoms and a negative postoperative foaming test, and safety events were counted as the combined results of serious adverse events., Results: A total of 92 patients were selected, including 45 cases in the symmetrical group and 47 cases in the asymmetric group. There were no serious adverse events in the 2 groups during follow-up. 3 days and 1 month after occlusion, the number of shunt patients in the asymmetric group was significantly less than that in the symmetric group ( χ 2  = 5.484, P  = 0.019; χ 2  = 5.146, P  = 0.023). The negative rate of blocked residual shunts in the asymmetric group was higher than that in the symmetric group at 1, 3, 6 and 12 months after occlusion ( χ 2  = 6.473, P  = 0.011; χ 2  = 4.305, P  = 0.038; χ 2  = 4.842, P  = 0.027; χ 2  = 4.034, P  = 0.045).
