Target tracking is to predict the state of the current target according to the target context information of video sequence. Deep learning is gradually widely used in the field of target tracking. This paper elaborates on the development background of target tracking algorithms and deep learning, and reviews traditional target tracking. Based on different network task functions, target tracking algorithms based deep learning is divided into: deep learning target tracking algorithm based classification, deep learning target tracking algorithm based regression, and target tracking algorithm based on the combination of regression and classification. This paper selects representative target tracking algorithm for experiments, compares the characteristics of different algorithms. Finally, this paper analyzes the problems of current target tracking algorithms based on deep learning, and prospects the future development direction. The experimental results show that deep Siamese tracking networks are superior in accuracy and speed, which is becoming the mainstream tracking algorithm framework at present.

Purpose: Percutaneous transforaminal endoscopic discectomy (PTED) was used as a minimally invasive treatment option for lumbar disc herniation (LDH). However, studies focusing on the clinical outcomes of PTED for elderly patients with adjacent segment disease (ASD) were limited. This study aims to compare the clinical outcomes of PTED between ASD and LDH in elderly patients. Patients and Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 39 patients with ASD and 39 patients with LDH. Both groups had undergone PTED in Beijing Chaoyang Hospital from July 4, 2016 to July 30, 2021. Visual analog scale for back pain (VAS-BP) and leg pain (VAS-LP) and Oswestry disability index (ODI) were used to value the clinical outcomes of patients preoperatively, immediately postoperatively, 12, and 24 months postoperatively, and at final follow-up. Patients' satisfaction was evaluated based on the MacNab criteria. Results: All operations were completed. The excellent or good clinical outcomes at final follow-up was demonstrated by 87.15% (34/39) and 89.74% (35/39) in ASD and non-ASD patients, respectively. Clinical improvement was observed immediately postoperatively in both groups and sustained stability during the postoperative follow-up. The ASD group demonstrated significantly longer hospital stays (p = 0.02) and operative time (p < 0.01) than the non-ASD group. Conclusion: PTED is an effective and minimally invasive treatment option for revision surgery of ASD, especially for elderly patients. However, the long-term prognosis of PTED treating ASD still needs further exploration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Study Design: Retrospective cohort study. Objectives: The main purpose of the present study was to report the incidence and identify predictors of reoperation in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) treated with percutaneous endoscopic transforaminal decompression (PETD). Methods: This study retrospectively reviewed consecutive patients with LSS who underwent PETD at our center between January 2016 and July 2020. The incidence of reoperations was calculated. We then designed a surgical period-matched case-control study to identify predictors among demographic data, clinical baseline data, and imaging parameters. Results: This study identified 496 eligible patients. 33 (6.7%) patients underwent reoperation with a mean follow-up of 3 years, consisting 22 (4.4%) at the index level and 11 (2.2%) at the adjacent levels. There were significant differences in age and age-adjusted Charlson comorbidity index (AACCI) between the two groups, with younger age (P =.004) and lower AACCI (P =.019) in reoperation group. Age was identified as the sole independent predictor (P =.006). The duration of symptoms ≥12 months (P =.034) and the presence of heart problems (P =.012) were recognized as specific predictors among patients younger than 65 years. Conclusions: In a mean follow-up of 3 years, the incidence of reoperation in LSS treated with PETD was 6.7%. A younger age was the independent predictor for reoperation. Younger patients with the duration of symptoms ≥12 months or without heart problems were more likely to undergo a second operation. The extracellular matrix (ECM) provides structural support, cell migration anchorage, cell differentiation cues, and fine-tuned cell proliferation signals during all stages of bone fracture healing, including cartilaginous callus formation, callus remodeling, and bony bridging of the fracture gap. In the present study we have defined the role of the extracellular matrix protein ameloblastin (AMBN) in fracture resistance and fracture healing of mouse long bones. To this end, long bones from WT and AMBN Δ5–6 truncation model mice were subjected to biomechanical analysis, fracture healing assays, and stem cell colony formation comparisons. The effect of exogenous AMBN addition to fracture sites was also determined. Our data indicate that lack of a functional AMBN in the bone matrix resulted in 31% decreased femur bone mass and 40% reduced energy to failure. On a cellular level, AMBN function inhibition diminished the proliferative capacity of fracture repair callus cells, as evidenced by a 58% reduction in PCNA and a 40% reduction in Cyclin D1 gene expression, as well as PCNA immunohistochemistry. In terms of fracture healing, AMBN truncation was associated with an enhanced and prolonged chondrogenic phase, resulting in delayed mineralized tissue gene expression and delayed ossification of the fracture repair callus. Underscoring a role of AMBN in fracture healing, there was a 6.9-fold increase in AMBN expression at the fracture site one week after fracture, and distinct AMBN immunolabeling in the fracture gap. Finally, application of exogenous AMBN protein to bone fracture sites accelerated callus formation and bone fracture healing (33% increase in bone volume and 19% increase in bone mineral density), validating the findings of our AMBN loss of function studies. The skin is a complex organ that serves as a critical barrier against external pathogens and environmental impact. Recent advances in immunometabolism have highlighted the intricate link between cellular metabolism and immune function, particularly in the context of skin cancers. This review aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the key metabolic pathways and adaptations that occur in immune cells during homeostasis and activation, and explore how metabolic reprogramming contributes to the pathogenesis of specific skin cancers. We discuss the complex interplay between tumor cells and infiltrating immune cells, which shapes the tumor microenvironment and influences disease outcomes. The review delves into the role of various metabolic pathways, such as glycolysis, oxidative phosphorylation, and lipid metabolism, in the regulation of immune cell function and their impact on the development and progression of skin cancers. Furthermore, we examine the potential of targeting metabolic pathways as a therapeutic strategy in skin cancers and discuss the challenges and future perspectives in this rapidly evolving field. By understanding the metabolic basis of skin immune responses, we can develop novel, personalized therapies for the treatment of skin cancers, ultimately improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
