Objetivo: Descrever percepções vivenciadas por estudantes de enfermagem no cenário de telessimulação sobre a hipoglicemia neonatal e expressas na autoavaliação. Método: Estudo exploratório, descritivo, de abordagem qualitativa, com 36 graduandos de enfermagem durante uma disciplina eletiva de um curso de graduação em enfermagem de uma universidade pública federal situada no interior do estado de Minas Gerais - Brasil. A produção de dados ocorreu entre agosto e setembro de 2021, por meio de plataforma virtual, com questões para autoavaliação da atividade, foi submetida à análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: Os graduandos consideraram a telessimulação como a oportunidade de uma nova forma de aprender, por meio da facilidade de vivenciar o realismo, desenvolvendo uma nova visão na maneira de cuidar de um recém-nascido. Conclusão: A telessimulação permitiu aos graduandos aprender e adquirir conhecimento relacionado ao cuidado neonatal, identificando o papel do enfermeiro na assistência ao recém-nascido no contexto da hipoglicemia neonatal.

A carga da mortalidade infantil representa uma dolorosa realidade que resulta em uma imensa perda de vidas. A meta 3.2 dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável estabelece um compromisso com o fim das mortes evitáveis de recém-nascidos até 2030. O estudo apresentado neste artigo teve por objetivo desenvolver, validar e avaliar um serious game para a prevenção da mortalidade neonatal precoce, voltado para enfermeiros da Atenção Primária à Saúde. Trata-se de uma pesquisa metodológica realizada em cinco etapas: exploratória; validação de conteúdo; desenvolvimento do serious game; avaliação semântica; avaliação de ludicidade. O serious game @-feto busca sensibilizar os enfermeiros quanto à identificação precoce de fatores de risco e condutas frente ao transtorno materno hipertensivo, à insuficiência istmocervical e à infecção do trato urinário na gestação. Possui índices de validade considerados excelentes: conteúdo: 0,98; semântica: 1; ludicidade: 0,98. O serious game @-feto constitui-se uma tecnologia para aprimorar conhecimentos na área materno-infantil de forma lúdica e motivacional.

Objective: to assess the perception of self-efficacy, self-confidence, and satisfaction of undergraduate nursing students during the use of expert-modeling videos as a learning strategy in the period of social distancing. Method: this was a descriptive study with undergraduates studying disciplines of caring for hospitalized newborns and children at a higher education nursing institution in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Activities were organized in three moments, in real time: prebriefing, expert-modeling videos and debriefing. The expert-modeling videos replaced the clinical simulation scenario during the social distancing required by the COVID-19 pandemic, for the development of telesimulation. Specific validated scales were used to analyze students’ self-confidence, self-efficacy and satisfaction. Content analysis assessed the advantages and disadvantages of using expert-modeling videos. Results: thirty-nine undergraduates took part in the study. High levels of self-confidence, self-efficacy and satisfaction were found among the participants. The advantages of expert-modeling videos were organized into the following categories: Convenience, Security and continuity of studies and Efficient teaching method, and the disadvantages into Problems with technology, Distractions, Lack of personal contact and Mental fatigue. Conclusion: telesimulation activities were consolidated as strategies that enabled learning in times of emergency online teaching due to the realness of telesimulation, the development of skills in caring for children and newborns and the link between theory and practice.

ABSTRACT Objective: To develop, validate, and evaluate an educational video on childhood vaccination for parents and guardians. Method: Methodological study in three phases. Pre-production included: script, storyboard, recruitment and validation by experts. During production, the video was created and validated by experts and the target audience. In post-production, the video was edited. The experts consisted of 20 health workers, professors and researchers (child health, immunization, health education and video production). The target audience consisted of 11 parents and guardians. Instruments were used for experts and the target audience and submitted to Content Validity Index analysis, with a minimum parameter of 0.80 for validity and evaluation. Results: The video, lasting 4 minutes and 25 seconds, was considered validated by experts and evaluated by parents and guardians, with an Overall Content Validity Index of 0.99 and 1.00, respectively. All validation and evaluation items obtained indexes equal to or greater than 0.95. Conclusion: The educational video developed was considered validated by experts and evaluated by the target audience, serving as a tool to encourage parents and guardians to promote child health and reduce vaccine-preventable diseases.

Objectives: to develop a serious game in a mobile application for learning about safe sex and contraception with the active participation of adolescents; and evaluate the content, appearance and usability of the technology with adolescents and experts. Method: this is an applied research project into the development of a serious game, carried out in two stages: development of the technology itself; and evaluation of the content, appearance and usability of the application. Teenagers from a public school in the city of São Paulo-Brazil took part in the technology development stage. The evaluation was carried out by the adolescents and experts in the areas of public health and health technology. The following criteria were used: educational aspects, environment interface and didactic resources. Results: Prinventon App ® was developed, a serious game set in a virtual city, designed to address adolescent sexuality. The app received 90% positive responses and had a Content Validity Index of 0.80, which was considered adequate. The suggestions and notes were accepted and implemented. The serious game was considered interesting and important in terms of the subject matter. Conclusion: it was found that the technology developed can help adolescents learn about safe sex and contraception, by addressing sexuality in adolescence in a playful and realistic way.

Abstract Aims The aims of this study were to map the components of the simulation design in health and nursing and to propose a classification based on their definitions to support the planning of simulation‐based experiences. Design Scoping review. Method Searches were performed in the databases LILACS, Embase, MEDLINE/PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, Google Scholar and ProQuest Thesis and Dissertation were performed, without time limitation, to identify studies about simulation design. Results This study mapped 19 components of the simulation design found in 26 studies included, which can contribute to the development of simulation‐based experiences, classified into structural, methodological and theoretical–pedagogical components. The simulation design can be described according to its fundamental components: structural—define the basic formulation of a simulation in terms of infrastructure and conceptual framework; methodological—define the participants, roles and the instruction format; and theoretical–pedagogical—define the educational references used to support the simulation strategy.

Objetivo: desarrollar y validar el contenido de un serious game sobre el manejo seguro de medicamentos intravenosos en pediatría. Método: estudio metodológico para el desarrollo y validación de contenido de una tecnología educativa. Los casos y desafíos del serious game se basaron en una revisión de la literatura y fueron validados por 11 enfermeros con formación y experiencia en el área. Se adoptaron índices de validez de contenido y concordancia para el análisis de concordancia y consistencia interna (mínimo de 0,8). Resultados: el contenido se basa en los principales antibióticos utilizados en el manejo clínico de infecciones en niños hospitalizados y en la seguridad del paciente. Se obtuvo una concordancia absoluta en 60 de los 61 ítems evaluados, y el mínimo obtenido fue de 0,82 en el índice de validación de contenido y 0,80 en concordancia. Los expertos sugirieron ajustes en la formulación de respuestas de un caso específico y se implementaron para mejorar la calidad del contenido de la tecnología. Conclusión: el contenido del serious game Nurseped fue validado por enfermeros expertos en salud infantil en cuanto a casos clínicos, enunciados de preguntas y respuestas de opción múltiple, además del feedback que presenta al usuario una respuesta basada en evidencia tras acertar o fallar en el desafío.

ABSTRACT Objective: to identify factors associated with fear of COVID-19 among women who experienced pregnancy or childbirth during the pandemic. Methods: a cross-sectional study, nested within a prospective cohort, using an online survey, from August 2021 to February 2022, based on descriptive data analysis. Results: of the 431 participants, 52.8% were postpartum women and 20.1% were pregnant women. With regard to fear of COVID-19, a mean score of 20.46 was obtained (moderate fear). The highest fear scores were present in women whose newborns were admitted to hospital in neonatal critical units (p=0.032), and the lowest among those covered by supplementary health (insurance) (p=0.016). Conclusion: among pregnant and postpartum women, high fear of COVID-19 translated into the possibility of having newborns admitted to hospital in a critical unit. The importance of supporting actions to support pregnant/postpartum women’s mental health in relation to COVID-19 or other threats that may influence the neonatal outcome stands out.

Resumo Objetivo Identificar o perfil de nascimentos das gestações de mulheres com acesso à internet que cursaram com a infecção pelo SARS-CoV-2 e seus desfechos. Métodos Estudo transversal integrado a uma coorte prospectiva, com coleta entre agosto de 2021 e fevereiro de 2022, baseado nas respostas de 304 mulheres que tiveram gestações e/ou partos durante o período pandêmico. Resultados Do total, 25,7% das entrevistadas tiveram COVID-19, com predomínio de diagnósticos no terceiro trimestre. Queixas de anosmia, fadiga e cefaleia prevaleceram como relacionados à infecção. As variáveis: utilizar o Sistema Único de Saúde para atendimento (p = 0,084); diabetes gestacional (p = 0,141); baixo peso de nascimento (p = 0,117); necessidade de internação em unidade neonatal (p = 0,120) foram inseridas no modelo de regressão por terem valores de p inferiores a 0,20. A variável referente ao tipo de parto (p=1,000) foi inserida no modelo por se tratar de uma variável de interesse e com descrição de relevância na literatura. A prematuridade foi a única variável que apresentou associação estatística com a infecção pelo SARS-CoV-2 durante a gestação (p = 0,008) na análise bivariada, explicando o desfecho da infecção na gestação (

Resumo Objetivo Construir e validar um design de telessimulação síncrona e observacional em enfermagem para o atendimento segundo o protocolo de suporte básico de vida intra-hospitalar no adulto. Métodos Estudo metodológico baseado nas fases do procedimento teórico realizado por meio de uma scoping review; fase empírica desenvolvida através da validação de conteúdo do design telessimulado e fase analítica em que adotou-se o índice de validade de conteúdo. Resultados Construiu-se um design para o atendimento segundo o protocolo de suporte básico de vida percorrendo seis etapas: o planejamento, preparação, participação, teledebriefing, avaliação e feedback e a aprendizagem adicional, com Índice de Validade de Conteúdo de 0,96. Conclusão O design desenvolvido foi considerado válido em conteúdo para planejar e executar a telessimulação pela enfermagem e ainda ser adaptado a outros contextos educacionais.

ABSTRACT Objective: to develop and analyze evidence of content validity of educational videos about bathing newborns in bed in a neonatal unit. Method: applied and methodological research, carried out from December/2020 to February/2022, in three phases: pre-production, production, post-production. Validity was carried out by nurses specializing in social communication and nursing professionals, including the Brazilian Sign Language and assessment by nursing students. The Content Validity Index and Cronbach’s alpha above 0.8 were considered for analysis. Results: the videos were entitled “Best practices: bathing newborns in the heated crib” and “Best practices: bathing newborns in the incubator”, lasting seven minutes each, divided into six scenes that demonstrated the approach to parents, environment and material organization, preparing newborns, bathing and after-bath care. Conclusion: the videos will support permanent education processes, academic training and professional training in nursing.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to compare exclusive breastfeeding prevalence versus artificial feeding in newborns of mothers with COVID-19. Methods: a systematic review of prevalence, according to JBI. Searches in PubMed®, Embase, CINAHL, LILACS and Web of Science™ databases in August 2021. Cross-sectional, longitudinal or cohort studies were selected, without language and time limitations that showed breastfeeding prevalence or that allowed calculation. Results: fifteen articles published in 2020 and 2021, cohort (60%) or cross-sectional (40%) were analyzed. The average of exclusive breastfeeding in mothers with COVID-19 was 56.76% (CI=39.90–72.88), and artificial breastfeeding, 43.23% (CI = 30.99 – 55.88), without statistically significant differences. Conclusions: despite the recommendations for maintaining breastfeeding, there was a reduction worldwide, when compared to periods prior to the pandemic. With advances in science, these rates have improved, showing the impact of evidence on practices. As limitations, study sources are cited. It is recommended to carry out new studies. Resumo Objetivo Construir e validar conteúdo e aparência do protótipo do Serious game “AleitaGame” sobre amamentação e lesões mamilo-areolares. Métodos Trata-se de um estudo realizado em três etapas, sendo elas: seleção do conteúdo através de uma Scoping Review, desenvolvimento de software educativo embasado no método de Benitti, Seara e Schlindwen, e um estudo metodológico para a validação de conteúdo, aspectos técnicos e pedagógicos, realizada com seis juízes especialistas na temática. A análise descritiva foi utilizada nesse estudo, bem como o Índice de Validade de Conteúdo para o instrumento de avaliação do conteúdo. Resultados O conteúdo dos casos clínicos e dos cenários simulados foi construído a partir de 115 estudos e foi validado por seis juízes em relação ao conteúdo e os aspectos técnico-pedagógicos, sendo esses os únicos que apresentaram sugestões no design e feedback do game. A versão final do serious game contém diferentes recursos de mídia e gamificação para uma interação com o tema que trata da técnica de amamentação como causa de lesão mamilo-areolar em lactantes. Conclusão O protótipo do “AleitaGame” foi validado por juízes especialistas e está adequado para a etapa final de desenvolvimento do software educativo.

Abstract Objectives: to identify puerperal women’s knowledge attending the housing unit at a teaching hospital about newborn body hygiene after receiving routine guidance from the nursing team. Methods: cross-sectional study, carried out with 207 puerperal women from a teaching hospital in the Minas Gerais State between December 2018 and May 2019. For data collection, an instrument was built and validated following three phases and descriptive statistics and linear correlation were used of Spearman’s, with a confidence level of 95% for knowledge analysis. Results: 207 puerperal women participated in the study, with a mean age of 27 ± 6.3 years. Inadequate knowledge was observed, mainly regarding the sequence of cleaning the face and scalp, adequate products and hygiene of the nose, ear and mouth. The domain “before the bath” presented the highest average percentage of correct questions (94.0%±10.1), including care with the environment, temperature and intimate hygiene. Conclusion: the identification of inadequate knowledge about the newborn’s body hygiene raises the need for constant and more effective guidelines, with the use of active methodologies starting in prenatal care.

Resumo Objetivo Construir e validar um vídeo educativo sobre o banho do recém-nascido no balde. Métodos Pesquisa aplicada e metodológica, de produção tecnológica, desenvolvida em três fases: pré-produção, produção e pós-produção durante os meses de dezembro de 2020 a fevereiro de 2022. Na pré-produção foi realizada a elaboração do roteiro/script e storyboard e recrutamento da equipe e recursos. Na produção, a validação de conteúdo e aparência do roteiro/script e storyboard e gravação das cenas e na pós-produção, a edição das cenas e composição do vídeo. O processo de validação do roteiro/script, storyboard e vídeo editado foi realizado com enfermeiros doutores, profissionais da área da comunicação social e equipe de enfermagem. Os itens, objetivo, conteúdo, relevância, ambiente, linguagem verbal, inclusão de tópicos, funcionalidade, usabilidade, eficiência, técnica audiovisual, ambiente e procedimento foram avaliados pela escala Likert e a concordância entre os juízes analisada a partir do Índice de Validade de Conteúdo e do Alfa de Cronbach acima de 0,80. Resultados O vídeo educativo de como e porque fazer banho no balde foi intitulado “Boas práticas: banho do recém-nascido no balde” e organizado em três cenas: antes do banho, durante o banho, após o banho; com duração de sete minutos e 48 segundos. Conclusão O vídeo foi desenvolvido e validado por especialistas em enfermagem e comunicação social e, poderá contribuir com as ações desenvolvidas no âmbito da neonatologia, como ferramenta adequada de educação em saúde realizada por enfermeiros para as famílias que desejam adotar esta modalidade de banho.

Objetivo: construir e validar um Quiz de avaliação cognitiva sobre Febre Maculosa, voltado para avaliar o conhecimento de estudantes que moram e/ou frequentam cidades de risco para a doença. Métodos: estudo metodológico desenvolvido em três etapas: construção do Quiz; validação de aparência e conteúdo com nove juízes, com análise realizada através do cálculo de Índice de Validade de Conteúdo, com valor de corte 0,80; e validação semântica, seguindo a metodologia DISABKIDS® com 12 alunos de cursos técnicos profissionalizantes, com avaliação dos dados realizada por estatística descritiva, tendo sido utilizado o programa Statistical Package for the Social Sciences. Resultados: o processo de validação foi subdividido em duas etapas: validação de aparência e conteúdo por profissionais das áreas de biologia e educação e validação semântica por alunos de cursos profissionalizantes. O Quiz foi elaborado e aplicado e os resultados mostraram um índice de validade de conteúdo superior a 0,80 para todas as variáveis analisadas. Na validação semântica, o Quiz foi considerado como de fácil compreensão e não houve dificuldade para o preenchimento. Conclusão: o Quiz construído foi validado quanto à aparência, ao conteúdo e à semântica, tendo alcançado concordância satisfatória, o que garante ser um instrumento adequado para o processo de avaliação sobre a temática investigada. Com isso, espera-se contribuir para a difusão de conhecimento acerca da identificação dos fatores de risco e da prevenção da saúde relacionados à Febre Maculosa.

Resumo Objetivo analisar o uso do aplicativo WhatsApp®, enquanto ferramenta tecnológica, para auxiliar as mães no acompanhamento pós-alta do bebê prematuro. Método estudo de abordagem qualitativa realizado com 18 mães de bebês prematuros que haviam sido internados nas unidades neonatais de um hospital universitário no interior de São Paulo. Os dados foram coletados no período de julho a novembro de 2021 por meio de mensagens deixadas em um grupo de WhatsApp® destinado ao acompanhamento pós-alta dos pré-termo. As mensagens foram analisadas a partir da Análise de Conteúdo Temática. Resultados o grupo de WhatsApp® teve boa aceitação e adesão por parte das mães, que puderam compartilhar suas experiências, seus conhecimentos e sentimentos. Os principais temas levantados foram: Aleitamento materno ao bebê prematuro; Manejo da cólica infantil; Cuidados básicos ao prematuro no domicílio; Vivências na internação do prematuro; Desafios enfrentados no domicílio; Percepção das mães sobre o grupo de WhatsApp®. Conclusão e implicações para a prática as mães demonstraram inseguranças e dúvidas sobre os cuidados básicos com o prematuro em domicílio. A estratégia de utilizar o aplicativo WhatsApp® no acompanhamento em saúde do bebê prematuro apresentou resultados satisfatórios, favorecendo a continuidade do cuidado e o apoio às mães.

ABSTRACT Objective: To develop and validate clinical simulation scenario for teaching women in their puerperium and their families about care for the newborn's umbilical cord stump. Method: Methodological study in two stages: 1 - elaboration of the checklist of the procedure for cleaning the umbilical cord and of the clinical case; and 2 - development of the simulated scenario. A Content Validity Index of 0.8 was adopted as the valid range of agreement. Results: After validation, the case was validated, being approved by 100% of the experts. All items of the simulation scenario obtained agreement scores above 0.91. Conclusion: The validated scenario can be used in different contexts: teaching of Neonate Nursing, training teams, and teaching women in their puerperium and their families, who were the target of the study. Considering the benefits of simulation, we believe the simulation here will contribute to better and safer care.

ABSTRACT Objective To build and validate an educational video about the immersion bath of the newborn. Method Methodological research, of technological production, developed in the phases: pre-production, production and post-production in the period from December 2020 to February 2022, validated by nurse practitioners, professionals in the area of social communication, nursing team, puerperal women and family members. The Content Validity Index was used to assess consistency and Cronbrach's Alpha reliability. Results The video is eight minutes and 34 seconds long and was organized into before, during and after the shower. The script/script and storyboard were evaluated regarding the objective, content, relevance, environment, verbal language and inclusion of topics and the video regarding functionality, usability, efficiency, audiovisual technique, environment and procedure, all of which achieved indices equal to or greater than 0,80. Conclusion The video has technological potential to be used during health education actions and in continuing education practices.

ABSTRACT Objective To validate the content and usability of educational hypermedia about embracement and obstetric risk classification. Methods Methodological study, development by the basic instructional design model, conducted in five stages. Twenty-two judges participated to validate the content and usability. For the analysis, the Content Validity Index, the System Usability Scale, and the binomial test were used. Results In the content it was obtained a Content Validity Index of 0.96 and for and usability it was obtained 91.9. In the overall evaluation, all requirements obtained an index of 0.98. Conclusion The educational hypermedia developed presents evidence of validity and constitutes an innovative resource for the teaching and learning process in Nursing.

ABSTRACT Objective To map the concept and structural elements of the prebriefing phase in clinical simulations in nursing. Method Scoping review with searches between May and June 2021 in the databases PubMed, Virtual Health Library, EMBASE, CINAHL, SCOPUS, Web of Science, CAPES Catalog of Theses and Dissertations, Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations and Google Scholar, in portuguese, spanish and english, without time limit. Results 24 studies were selected. In 17 articles (70.8%) the authors used the spelling prebriefing (in italics and amended), to refer to the stage that precedes the simulation, including preparatory activities and guidance. Alternative methods for prebriefing were described (reflective practices, laboratories, games and videos). Conclusion There is no consensus regarding the concept and elements that constitute the prebriefing. This simulation stage contributes to participant satisfaction, participation and psychological safety, with better learning outcomes.

Resumo Objetivo: identificar o perfil das gestações e prevalência de adesão à consulta puerperal entre puérperas adolescentes comparadas a não adolescentes, assistidas em um ambulatório de hospital de ensino do interior de Minas Gerais. Método: estudo transversal aninhado a uma coorte de puérperas; amostra não probabilística, por conveniência; gestação na adolescência - variável dependente; sociodemográficas, clínicas e obstétricas - variáveis independentes. Utilizado instrumento próprio, testado mediante piloto. Calculadas razões de prevalência e intervalos de confiança; aplicados testes qui-quadrado e exato de Fisher, considerando nível de significância de 5%, e regressão de Poisson com variância robusta. ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to conduct a literature review on safety in breastfeeding in mothers with COVID-19. An integrative review of national and international literature was carried out. Methods The search took place in the SciELO, LILACS and MEDLINE® databases. Results A total of 25 scientific articles that specifically addressed the theme of breastfeeding and its risk and protective factors for infection by SARS-CoV-2 were selected. According to the studies analyzed, although the presence of viral RNA had already been detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction in breast milk samples, there are still no proven cases of vertical transmission via human milk. Conclusion Breastfeeding appears to be safe if practiced according to precaution measures recommended by the World Health Organization. In addition, there is evidence of a potential for immunological protection by transfer of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 in breast milk. Breastfeeding should continue to be promoted even in cases of mothers with clinical suspicion or confirmation of COVID-19, as well as the provision of expressed breast milk in cases where there is no possibility of direct breastfeeding.

BackgroundVaccination is a fundamental part of all levels—local to worldwide—of public health, and it can be considered one of humanity's greatest achievements in the control and elimination of infectious diseases. Teaching immunization and vaccination can be monotonous and tiring. It is necessary to develop new approaches for teaching these themes in nursing school. ObjectiveWe aimed to develop and validate a serious game about immunization and vaccination for Brazilian nursing students. MethodsWe developed a quiz-type game, Immunitates, using design and educational theoretical models and Brazilian National Health Guidelines. The game’s heuristics and content were evaluated with 2 different instruments by a team of experts. A sample of nursing students evaluated the validity of the game’s heuristics only. We calculated the content validity index (CVI) for each evaluation. ResultsThe study included 49 experts and 15 nursing students. All evaluations demonstrated high internal consistency (Cronbach α≥.86). The game’s heuristics (experts: CVI 0.75-1.0; students: CVI 0.67-1.0) and the game’s contents demonstrated validity (experts: CVI 0.73-1.0). Participants identified some specific areas for improvement in the next version. ConclusionsThe serious game appears to be valid. It is intended as a support tool for nursing students in the teaching–learning process and as a tool for continuing education for nurses.

ABSTRACT Objective: to map available evidence on parental burnout theme. Method: scoping review as according to the Joanna Briggs Institute. Search in January 2021, in six databases of publications in English, Portuguese or Spanish, without time limits. Data extracted and descriptively analyzed by three independent researchers. Results: 374 articles were identified and 20 were included in the final sample, all published in English, from 2017 onwards. Parental burnout is a complex, multifactorial problem, distinct from burnout cases, depressive symptoms and other mental health alterations. It affects 0.2 to 20% of parents, has validated and suitable instruments for measurement; if not treated, can have consequences on marital life, work relationships, child neglect and violence. Conclusions: this is a recent theme that needs to be explored, due to the possible impact on children’s and families’ health and on parents’ work processes. ABSTRACT Objectives: to validate the content and appearance of the booklet “Going home after a child’s cardiac surgery” and assess family members’ cognitive learning regarding its use. Methods: a methodological and quasi-experimental study of before and after type, with semi-structured interview, pre-test and reading of the booklet in a hospital; post-test and validation occurred after hospital discharge. Wilcoxon non-parametric statistics were used. Results: nineteen family members of children with heart disease participated. ABSTRACT Objective: To build and validate the content of a good practice tool in the newborn bath. Method: Methodological study, developed from December 2018 to January 2019, in a Joint Neonatal Housing Unit of a teaching hospital, in three stages: bibliographic survey, construction of the instrument and content validation by nine judges. The content validity index was used above 80% and general analysis with ten requirements. Results: The instrument was organized in three domains: before bathing, during bathing and after bathing, with a total of 20 items. Two rounds of validation were carried out to adjust the suggestions; the second presented a percentage of agreement between the judges, equal to or above 0.82. Conclusion: The instrument “Good practices in the newborn’s bath” was considered representative and valid in terms of content.

Objective: to present the effects of health education for the self-care and management of type 1 Diabetes Mellitus among children. Method: a qualitative study with a focus group and description of the children’s glycemic profile. The health education activities, of a playful type and with an educational booklet, were carried out with four children with diabetes and their families, in an outpatient clinic of a university hospital. Thematic content analysis was performed. Results: physical activity proved to be an effective option for the practice of self-care, however, there was non-compliance to the adoption of dietary habits aimed at diabetes, concerning inadequate glycemic control, and increased complications. Changes in the management of the disease were observed when comparing the before and after of educational activities. Conclusions: playful resources and an educational booklet had a positive impact on family management and the self-care of children with Diabetes Mellitus.

Objective: to analyze elements of the follow-up care provided to premature children amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: qualitative study from the perspective of philosophical hermeneutics, interpreting experiences with childcare provided at home. Twelve mothers and 14 children aged two years old were interviewed online via a text messaging application. Data were analyzed by interpreting meanings. Results: weaknesses stood out in the follow-up care provided to children such as gaps of communication, lack of guidance and delayed immunizations, while care intended to meet health demands was interrupted. Vulnerability aspects affecting child development included: social isolation measures that impeded the children from socializing with their peers, increased screen time, the manifestation of demanding behaviors and irritation and the mothers experiencing an overload of responsibilities. The elements that strengthened maternal care included the mothers being attentive to contagion, enjoying greater experience and satisfaction with the maternal role, spending more time with their children, and recognizing respiratory signs and symptoms, especially fever. Conclusion: follow-up care provided to children in stressful situations implies implementing practices that support the wellbeing of children and families, decreasing the likelihood of children being exposed to development deficits, and detecting signs and symptoms timely. The use of nursing call centers can break the invisibility of longitudinal needs and promote health education actions at home.

ABSTRACT Objective To develop and evaluate an educational video for active family participation in the relief of acute pain in babies. Methods A methodological and experimental study produced at the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto School of Nursing and at a university hospital in southeastern Brazil, conducted in three operational stages, from January to July 2017. Results The video lasts nine minutes and 31 seconds, and it was validated by 19 expert judges with a 90% agreement among them for content and appearance items. Regarding the evaluation, 16 family members and pregnant women did it and were favorable to its use as an educational technology for learning. Conclusions Both the experts and the target population positively evaluated the video, which can be used as a health education strategy to empower families to engage in the baby pain relief with more autonomy and proactivity.

Objective: to create an animated infographic on the concept of Permanent Health Education according to the National Policy and its main differences compared to continuing education and health education. Method: a methodological study that analyzed context and knowledge gaps with a literature review and brainstorming; synthesized knowledge into a concept map; built and validated a script; created a didactic design; and produced infographic media. 18 representatives from the Center for Permanent Education and Humanization participated in the stages of context analysis and synthesis of knowledge, and six specialists participated in the validation of the script. Results: through the combination of texts, images, audios, animations and transitions, the concepts, principles and legal journey of the Permanent Education policy were presented with examples from daily work and, at the end, the difference compared to continuing education and health education is presented. The specialist on the theme evaluated the infographic positively as it has clear information that meet the needs of the target audience; favors learning; and is able to circulate in the scientific environment. Conclusion: the infographic includes content on Permanent Health Education as it represents the daily work scenario and encourages reflection by the health care workers.

RESUMO Objetivo: desenvolver e validar um instrumento de exame clínico objetivo estruturado para o cenário de simulação sobre ressuscitação cardiopulmonar no adulto em suporte básico de vida com o uso do desfibrilador externo automático no ambiente hospitalar. Método: pesquisa aplicada, de produção tecnológica, desenvolvida na Escola de Enfermagem de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo, no período de janeiro de 2017 a março de 2018 com 16 profissionais experts da área de urgência e emergência para validação do exame clínico objetivo estruturado. O instrumento abordou 40 itens de intervenção relacionados ao elo da cadeia da sobrevivência da American Heart Association (2015) para realizar a avaliação clínica no cenário de simulação em ressuscitação cardiopulmonar. Resultados: dos experts, 62,5% obtiveram pontuação superior ou igual a 10 nos critérios de Fehring e destaca-se que 93,75% possuem prática clínica em urgência e emergência no adulto. Objetivo : identificar estudios científicos en la literatura científica que utilizan el serious game como estrategia en la prevención y/o tratamiento de la obesidad infantil. Método : una revisión integradora. La búsqueda en las bases de datos resultó en 466 estudios y se eligieron 17 trabajos para análisis. Resultados : la utilización de serious games para la promoción de la salud puede impactar positivamente en la salud de los niños y niñas, así como promover el cambio de comportamientos y estimular hábitos saludables. Conclusión: el uso de serious games puede ser una estrategia potente para la educación en salud de niños y niñas. Considerando la utilización de tecnologías por el público infantil, se cree en el potencial de esos recursos para cambiar comportamientos de esa población.

Objective: to identify and measure nursing student’s communication skills in health using simulation with standardized patients. Methods: descriptive, cross-sectional study carried out with 16 students of the last year of the nursing undergraduate course. The simulation focused on requesting authorization from the patient/ family to perform venipuncture. During the simulation, all the students were evaluated through the Health Communication Assessment Tool . Results: of the 22 items of the tool, 18 reached agreement higher than 50.0%. Of the 16 participants, 14 (87.5%) were assessed as being able to communicate in more than 50.0% of the statements. Conclusion: students’ communication was satisfactory; there are gaps related to the emotional aspects of the patient and the family, manifesting the need to reinforce communication in the nursing curriculum.

Este artigo apresenta o desenvolvimento de um Objeto de Aprendizagem para inserção em uma aula de uma disciplina de pós-graduação em enfermagem, estimulando o conhecimento e aprendizado sobre o uso de tecnologias pró-ativas e inovadoras. Trata-se de um estudo de relato de experiência sobre a aplicação e avaliação de um objeto virtual de aprendizagem interativo em uma disciplina de pós-graduação em enfermagem, realizado no primeiro semestre de 2015. Utilizou-se um Objeto de Aprendizagem produzido no software Articulate Storyline® para aplicação prática na disciplina. A amostra foi composta de29 discentes matriculados na disciplina. Para a avaliação da experiência dos alunos foi elaborado um instrumento na ferramenta Formulário do Google Drive®. Posteriormente, o Objeto de Aprendizagem gerado foi hospedada na plataforma moodle. A inserção do Objeto de Aprendizagem na disciplina demonstrou ser uma forma atual e inovadora do uso de Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação dentro do processo de ensino e de aprendizagem em tempo real, atendendo as expectativas dos participantes e trazendo uma interação rápida e eficaz dos discentes com a mesma. Notou-se intenso interesse e interação com a simulação, bem como um grande índice de acertos nas tarefas.

ABSTRACT Objectives: to identify in the literature the efficacy of serious games to improve knowledge for and/or behavioral changes among overweight or obese children. Method: Systematic Literature Review. The Cochrane Systematic Reviews Handbook was used. The studies were collected from the following databases: Public Medline; Web Of Science; Science Direct; Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature; and the Health Game Research and Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature. The descriptors were video games and obesity, while the key word was serious games. Inclusion criteria were: studies classified as Randomized Clinical Trials written in English, Spanish or Portuguese and in which children were the subjects of the study. Results: 2,722 studies were identified in the initial search and six studies remained in the final sample. The papers focused on encouraging behavioral changes in players, including physical exercise and improved eating habits. The studies report that serious games are a potential strategy to encourage positive coping with childhood obesity. Conclusion: research in this field is an expanding and promising strategy and serious games represent an alternative means to provide health education to children.

Abstract Objective: To develop and validate the serious game e-Baby: skin integrity along with a panel of experts. Method: Methodological research approaching the following development steps: scope definition, game format and functions, script and communication with software developers, creation of prototype with evaluation and production; and validation by four experts using the tool Heuristic Evaluation for Digital Educational Game. Results: The serious game was built in a 3D technology with multimedia including animation and scientific-based content. The educational technology was validated by the experts in all heuristics, and among the all 36 analyzed items. 18 (50%) presented no errors, and regarding the remaining items with any error, none had more than 25% errors within levels 3 and 4, according to Nielsen's classification. Conclusion and implications for the practice: The validated serious game is a virtual simulation educational technology with potential to contribute with learning in nursing and with evidence-based clinical practice.

El objetivo de este estudio fue caracterizar las necesidades de las enfermeras sobre el conocimiento científico que apoya la atención de enfermería en la práctica clínica de la atención primaria de la salud del niño. Estudio exploratorio, cualitativo, basado en el cuidado de la salud y la longitudinalidad de la atención de enfermería infantil, basado en entrevistas con 35 enfermeras de las unidades de salud de la familia. Se utilizó análisis temático de datos. Los resultados indican la necesidad de utilizar la evaluación del niño, orientación familiar, protocolos de atención, una colaboración entre profesionales de la salud y gestión de la atención, hechos que implican una diversidad de conocimientos, con el fin de activar acciones eficaces y resolutivos de atención. La práctica basada en el conocimiento profesional y las necesidades de los individuos puede ampliar el cuidado, con beneficios para los niños, las familias y la organización institucional. Es de vital importancia para la práctica de la enfermería profesional asumir la responsabilidad de su propia práctica, examinando continuamente las formas de cuidar y actualizándose.

Objective:to analyze the full-term newborn’s readiness to suck the mother’s breast in the first breastfeeding in rooming-in. Methods: analytical, quantitative study with 43 full-term newborns. Results: the states of sleep and wakefulness prevailing before breastfeeding were 41.9% alert and quiet during breastfeeding, 48.8% active sleep. In all domains assessed in the conduction of breastfeeding, the favorable signs had the highest percentage: Body posture (85.6%); Newborn responses (82.3%); Emotional bond (73.8%); Breast anatomy (100.0%); Suction by the newborn (86.1%); Time spent in the suction (78.4%). The average of the breastfeeding time was 12.08 minutes. Conclusion: full-term newborns showed good readiness to suck maternal breast in the first breastfeeding, since they prevailed in active state, showed good frequency of suction and in the conduction of breastfeeding, most of the signs were favorable to it.

Objetivo: avaliar a opinião dos estudantes sobre a tecnologia educacional e-Baby. Método: estudo descritivo exploratório que teve como amostra 14 estudantes de enfermagem portugueses que utilizaram a tecnologia educacional digital e-Baby em um curso extracurricular. Para atender ao objetivo, a coleta de dados foi realizada por meio de um instrumento de opinião em escala do tipo Likert e com possibilidade de comentários pelos estudantes além de um instrumento de caracterização dos participantes. Resultados: os estudantes emitiram avaliações muito satisfatórias sobre o jogo e-Baby, variando desde aceitação no âmbito de usabilidade até sugestão de expansão para outros temas da Enfermagem. Conclusão: o serious game e-Baby pode ser considerado uma inovação didática e motivadora da aprendizagem e demonstra possuir interface adequada quanto aos aspectos do design e função educativa, provocando intensa interação entre o usuário e a ferramenta computacional.

To describe and analyze scientific evidence in national and international studies on nursing care for skin integrity of preterm newborns (PTNBs) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Integrative review in LILACS, BDENF, SciELO, CINAHL, PubMed and EMBASE. Twenty-three articles that met the inclusion criteria were selected with use of the PRISMA method. Ten studies addressed products for the skin of preterm infants; five focused on bathing and diaper dermatitis; two reported use of incubators and control of transepidermal water loss; two discussed pressure injuries; and four addressed the protocols and practices of nurses in skin care. The results showed there are many products available, but a lack of evidence for their practical application. Bath products and periodicity and care for pressure injuries were better addressed in the literature, in spite of gaps in the prevention of infections and injuries, and use of protocols.

The objective was to analyze the school meaning for students part of the Generation Z from a High School of a capital city in the north region of Brazil. We conducted a qualitative study with 57 participating adolescents. We collected data through focus groups, and we analyzed it using content analysis, thematic modality. The results showed two thematic nuclei: School, a space to learn and to prepare for the future; and, Standoff and in steps, the school that needs to re-discover itself. Adolescents comprehend the school as a space to build learning, but they consider the virtual environment also as a space to build knowledge. This study offers contributions to rethink the education directed to the digital generation, as an effort to incorporate new languages and innovations to teaching, besides guiding the definition of plans and routes of care and, health attention that considers the new relationships between adolescents and technology.

Objetivo: traçar o perfil de utilização do cateter venoso central de inserção periférica (PICC) na realidade assistencial da unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal (UTIN). Método: estudo observacional, descritivo de abordagem quantitativa, utilizando amostra de conveniência de 47 PICC instalados em 33 bebês internados na UTIN de um hospital escola do Sul do Brasil. Resultados: a maioria dos bebês era prematuro (72,7%), do sexo masculino (52%) e com peso inferior a 2500 gramas (72,7%). Grande parte dos dispositivos foi instalado nos três primeiros dias de vida (59,6%), com uma média de 3,7 punções, sendo o membro superior esquerdo (44,2%) o mais acessado. Quase metade dos dispositivos teve localização inicial intracardiaca (48,8%) e foram retirados não eletivamente (48,8%). Conclusão: este estudo possibilitou verificar que o perfil de pacientes que utilizam PICC na unidade investigada assemelha-se ao encontrado na literatura, e que existem problemas inerentes à sua inserção e manutenção. Method: observational and descriptive study with quantitative approach, using a convenience sample of 47 PICC installed in 33 newborn, in the NICU of a university hospital in the Southern of Brazil. Results: most newborns were premature (72.7%), males (52.0%) and with ess than 2,500g (72.7%). Most of devices have been installed in the first three days of life (59.6%) with an average of 3.7 venipunctures, being the left upper limb (44.2%) the most most accessed. Almost half of devices had intracardiac as first location (48.8%) and were not removed electively (48.8%). Conclusion: the study pointed that the profile of patients using PICC in the studierd unit is similar to literature, and there are problems related to its insertion and mantenance. RESUMEN Objetivo: describir el perfil de aplicación del catéter central de inserción periférica (PICC) en la realidad del cuidado en unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales (UCIN). Método: estudio observacional y descriptivo, con abordaje cuantitativa, utilizando una muestra de conveniencia de 47 PICC instalados en 33 recién nacidos, en la UCIN de un hospital universitario del sur de Brasil. Resultados: la mayoría de los recién nacidos fueron prematuros (72,7%), varones (52,0%) y con un resultado inferior a 2,500 g (72,7%). La mayoría de los dispositivos se han instalado en los primeros tres días de vida (59.6%) con un promedio de 3.7 venopunciones, siendo el miembro superior izquierdo (44.2%) el más accesible. Casi la mitad de los dispositivos tenían intracardiaco como primera ubicación (48.8%) y no fueron eliminados de manera electiva (48.8%). Conclusión: el estudio apuntó que el perfil de los pacientes que usan PICC en la unidad estudiada es similar a la literatura, y existen problemas relacionados con su inserción y mantenimiento. The current study identifies what has been produced in literature regarding the use of digital educational technology for professional nursing education at the high-school level. An integrative literature review was carried out using the descriptors “Computer Assisted Instruction,” “Software,” “Educational Technology,” “Professional Education” and “Nursing,” published between 2000 and 2013. We found 99 publications, out of which 08 were analyzed. We observed that technological development has also been incorporated into nursing education, predominantly in contents regarding technical care and the use of simulations. However these were examined out of the context of their application. We also observed a gap in research about reflective education, despite the fact that a large contingent of nursing professionals is made up of assistants/technicians. The development of digital educational technology is considered a contributing factor towards professional nursing education at the high-school level, according to pedagogical principles of Brazilian curriculum guidelines and health policies. doi: 10.5216/ree.v16i2.21587.

The objective of this study is to report the creation and validation of case studies in neonatal nursing adapted according to a specific educational framework. This methodological study was performed in a public hospital in the state of São Paulo. Data were collected with 22 newborns (15 – verification of reliability in the case collection), seven of which were adapted in case studies following six steps: resource and method selection, goals, complexity, validation of the evidence, scripts and content validity. The cases’ goals comprise teaching, care and the technical quality of the case. Regarding the complexity of cases, they were elaborated considering the basic human needs, Risner’s diagnostic reasoning, and NANDA-I taxonomy II. The creation and validation of cases based on a specific framework contributed to case studies becoming an important learning resource. Os prematuros são submetidos a diversas manipulações e procedimentos durante internação em unidades neonatais, com consequências deletérias para a saúde. O objetivo do presente estudo foi descrever a manipulação a que são submetidos os prematuros durante as 24 horas em uma unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal (UTIN). Estudo observacional, descritivo, exploratório, realizado com 20 prematuros, filmados continuamente por um período de 24 horas, de setembro de 2008 a março de 2009 numa UTIN. Os prematuros foram submetidos a uma média de 768 manipulações e 1.341 procedimentos. A manipulação durou em média 2 horas e 26 minutos em um período de 24 horas. Cada manipulação agrupou uma média de 2,2 procedimentos, a maioria no turno matutino As manipulações isoladas representaram 65,6% do total de manipulações e a maioria teve duração inferior a um minuto. Conclui-se que nas 24 horas avaliadas, os prematuros foram submetidos a um excesso de manipulações na UTIN.

AIM: To evaluate, from the students' point of view, educational software developed as a tool to help teachers and students in neonatal nursing. METHOD: The study evaluates the contents and simulations addressed in the software. A total of 57 undergraduate nursing students affiliated with five Brazilian public colleges participated. RESULTS: The general assessment of the software was highly satisfactory: 82.4% of the sample characterized the software as quite effective as a teaching tool. Most components were assessed as good or very good. The participants' suggestions and comments are being considered in the improvement and adaptation of the new software version. CONCLUSION: The results show that the product is adequate for use in neonatal nursing courses and nursing training on the physical examination techniques and semiology of preterm newborns, falling within the pedagogical framework of active methods.OBJETIVO: Evaluar un software educativo desarrollado como una herramienta para ayudar a profesores y estudiantes de enfermería neonatal en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje a través del punto de vista y evaluación por parte de los estudiantes. MÉTODO: El estudio consiste en la evaluación del contenido y las simulaciones abordadas en el software. Participaron en total 57 estudiantes de pregrado universitario afiliados a cinco universidades públicas brasileñas. RESULTADOS: La evaluación de la impresión general que tuvieron los estudiantes respecto del software fue altamente satisfactoria, ya que el 82,4% de la muestra consideró el software como una herramienta muy importante para el proceso de enseñanza. La mayoría del contenido fue considerado como bueno o muy bueno. Las sugerencias y comentarios de los participantes fueron considerados, lo cual fue crucial para la mejora y la adaptación de la nueva versión del software. CONCLUSIÓN: dentro del los métodos activos del marco pedagógico, los resultados muestran que el producto es adecuado para su uso en la enseñanza de enfermería neonatal y para la formación de técnicas de enfermería para examen físico y semiología de los recién nacidos prematuros.OBJETIVO: Avaliar um programa de computador educacional, a partir da visão dos alunos, desenvolvido como uma ferramenta para auxiliar professores e estudantes no ensino e aprendizagem sobre o tema enfermagem neonatal. MÉTODO: O estudo consiste na avaliação de conteúdo e das simulações contempladas no programa de computador. No total, participaram 57 graduandos em enfermagem vinculados a cinco universidades públicas brasileiras. RESULTADOS: A avaliação de impressão geral do software foi altamente satisfatória, sendo que 82,4% da amostra caracterizaram o programa de computador como muito importante para o ensino. A maior parte do conteúdo foi avaliada como boa ou muito boa. Foram consideradas as sugestões e comentários dos participantes como cruciais para o aprimoramento e adequação do software em sua nova versão. CONCLUSÃO: Os resultados mostram que o produto está adequado para ser utilizado no ensino de enfermagem neonatal e capacitação de enfermeiros sobre a semiotécnica e semiologia do recém-nascido pré-termo, inserido no referencial pedagógico das metodologias ativas.

Estudo reflexivo com o objetivo de apresentar, na perspectiva da hermenêutica filosófica, elementos relevantes para o seguimento da saúde da criança em atenção primária à saúde. A assistência à saúde da criança tem como eixo norteador o processo de crescimento e desenvolvimento na infância, sendo fundamental conhecer as escolhas e tomadas de decisão das famílias, estimular a produção de narrativas, fortalecer virtudes e experiências cotidianas, contribuindo para enriquecer o cuidado e apreendê-lo numa perspectiva integradora, contingencial, longitudinal e suficientemente boa. O seguimento da criança pode ser tomado como uma tecnologia de cuidado em saúde que não pressupõe um saber a priori, mas remete a uma reconstrução de saberes e práticas com novas dimensões para a produção de cuidados.
