De Quervains disease, despite its low prevalence, is accompanied by pain syndrome, dysfunction and a decrease in the strength of the hand. This leads to a significant decrease in the quality of life of the patient, disruption of his work and daily activities. Patients with de Quervains disease, make up a significant part of those who turn to orthopedists, surgeons, rehabilitation doctors. However, the individual features of the structure of the first back canal of each person, formed in the process of phylogenesis, the lack of data on the exact cause of the disease cause the complexity of diagnosis and treatment of the disease. In the first part of the lecture, devoted to de Quervains disease, modern literature data concerning the features of the anatomical structure of the first back canal, the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease are summarized. It also presents a description of the clinical picture of de Quervains disease, tests and instrumental methods of diagnosis, the algorithm of examination of the patient with this pathology.

The article presents a rare case of urinary bladder reconstruction using thoracodorsal revascularized autograft in a patient with a bladder injury resulting from a road traffic accident. The area and size of the thoracodorsal flap (2215 cm) were determined using a 500 ml latex model of the bladder. The autograft was revascularized through external iliac vessels. From the thoracodorsal autograft, the dome was formed with the dermal part inward, which was fixed along its circumference to the bladder edges with 3/0 prolene sutures. The muscular part of the thoracodorsal flap was fixed along the perimeter to the remaining aponeurosis and covered by a free expanded cutaneous autograft. The surgery resulted in a newly constructed neobladder of sufficient volume (250-300 ml) with elements of the patients own bladder (posterior wall and neck) while sparing the patient from a cystostomy and improving his quality of life.

We have proposed an approach to improve the resolution of terahertz (THz) imaging using the effect of solid immersion – i.e. a reduction in the dimensions of the electromagnetic beam caustic by its formation in a free space, behind the medium possessing high refractive index. We have designed a THz solid immersion lens (SIL) comprised of a polymer wide-aperture aspherical singlet and a crystalline truncated sphere mounted in front of the image plane. We have proposed an approach for the object handling at the focal plane of the THz SIL. We have combined numerical simulations and experimental studies to demonstrate the advanced 0.2λ spatial resolution of the proposed THz SIL – it is beyond the 0.5λ Abbe limit. Finally, we have assembled the continuous-wave THz SIL imaging system and applied it for studying various objects with sub-wavelength variations of structure and dielectric properties.

The questionnaire for the evaluation of daily life activity in patients with wrist pathology is presented. This questionnaire has been elaborated taking into account social and cultural peculiarities of Russians life and includes 33 questions reflecting the possibilities of carrying out of personal every day activities (hygiene, dressing, putting on shoes, cooking, eating etc.). The functional activity of patients with various wrist pathology ( bone fractures, traumatic wrist and fingers avulsion, multicomponent wrist injuries, tendon injuries, Dupuytren's contracture) was assessed by that questionnaire. Analysis of data obtained showed the conformity of questionnaire to modern requirements of psychometry - high validity, sensitivity and reliability. This questionnaire should be used for the evaluation of rehabilitation efficacy of patients with wrist pathology.
