The article provides a detailed algorithm for improving the C3D FairCurveModeler commands for constructing a class F spatial curve with approximation by a rational cubic spline Bezier curve (NURBzS-curve) and with approximation by a highdegree B-spline curve. The improvement is achieved by optimizing the structure of the Hermite spatial Geometric Determinant when defining it on a spatial virtual curve (V-curve) created on a set of double-tap conical curves. The structure of the Hermite Geometric Determinant is improved by changing the direction of the tangents, taking into account the spatial directions of the tangents at the end points of the conic segments at the step of constructing the set of double-tap conical curves. To demonstrate the modified method, the work shows 1) Improving the quality of a conical spiral modeled by the regular _Helix command of CAD systems ZWCAD, BricsCAD, AutoCAD by using the C3D FairCurveModeler command for creating a NURBzS-curve. 2) Construction of a B-spline curve of the 8th degree on the points of a conical spiral by the C3D FairCurveModeler command and comparison with similar constructions in the CAD systems 'Rhino Ceros D', 'Alias Design Studio', NX which declare the construction of high quality curves (class A).

Introduction. Computational studies of aerodynamic interference of the MIBC “Moscow-City” complex with sequential construction of buildings, taking into account their chronological order are carried out. Previous studies only considered the designed buildings and structures, along with the surrounding actual and future development, without computational analysis of their impact on the already constructed buildings. The study demonstrates the importance of considering aerodynamic interference in numerical simulation. It draws conclusions on the mutual influence of high-rise buildings and identifies the wind attack angles that contribute to the maximum values of the average and pulsation components of the wind action.Materials and methods. Numerical simulation methods in the ANSYS Fluent software package were used to conduct computational analysis. Quasi-two-dimensional aerodynamic models of the building complex of MIBC “Moscow-City” were developed, verified and validated for the computational studies.Results. The paper presents the results of 256 design cases, including 13 design variants for the consecutive erection of buildings in the MIBC “Moscow-City” complex and 19 calculations of freestanding high-rise buildings. Each calculation was performed for eight wind attack directions. The paper provides the average and pulsation total aerodynamic forces and moments for each building of the complex, depending on the chronology of building construction. The radar charts of aerodynamic coefficients (average and pulsation) were used to determine the most dangerous wind directions. The number of constructed buildings in the MIBC “Moscow-City” complex was taken into account.Conclusions. Based on the example of the sequential construction of the MIBC “Moscow-City” complex, this study emphasizes the importance of considering aerodynamic interference in dense and changing urban environments for both new and existing buildings. Aerodynamic interference can result in both wind shielding effects and increased wind, which affects the mechanical safety of buildings and structures.

Synovial sarcoma (SS) is a soft tissue tumor that occurs among a group of tumors other than rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) in childhood and adolescence in 4 % of cases. In terms of incidence among children, SS is second only to RMS and most often occurs in young and mature patients (15–35 years), with a slight predominance in men. The localization of SS in the soft tissues of the extremities reaches 80 %; to a lesser extent, these tumors occur in the head and neck, trunk, retroperitoneal space, and joints (no more than 5 %). Cases of the appearance of SS in the mediastinum, peripheral nerves, skin and visceral organs are also described. This article presents a rare clinical case of the development of SS of the median nerve of the right shoulder in a 15-year-old patient.

In 2014 the newly elected Indonesian president Joko Widodo declared his doctrine “In- donesia – World Maritime Fulcrum”. His intention is to transform Indonesia which connects two great oceans – Indian and Pacific – into a strategic logistic and trade world hub as well as the main supplier of sea products for the world market. Indonesian government plans to build 35 deepwater and ordinary ports across the archipelago during the next five years. The implementation of the project demands colossal money investments and gigantic volumes of work. Indonesia cannot do it alone, the country needs foreign investors and constructors. A number of Asian and Europe countries expressed their intentions to cooperate with Indonesia in the maritime sector. But the most interested turned out to be China which expressed its ardent desire to cooperate with Indonesia in the sector of maritime industry. And it is quite understandable taking into consideration that China worked out its own project “Maritime Silk Road” which comprises the same sea territory as Indonesia’s “Maritime Fulcrum” project. Chinese leaders invited Indonesia to closely cooperate in implementing these two projects which are mutually coinciding and complementary. Indonesian leaders gladly accepted this invitation hoping to gain a lot from cooperation with China. Chinese “Maritime Silk Road” project will contribute to the development of inter-island communicativity which is strongly needed especially in the eastern part of Indonesian archipelago. In addition China agreed to participate in building and reconstructing Indonesian ports. Some Indonesian observers greet close cooperation with China as a very profitable business opportunity but others express apprehensions that too close cooperation with China could be dangerous for Indonesian sovereignty over its territorial waters.

Social protest in contemporary Indonesia is brought about by four important processes going on in the world lately namely modernization, globalization, westernization and democratization. These processes we can see in contemporary Indonesia gaining speed in the 21 century. There impact varies in different regions of the country, on various social groups of Indonesian population. As a consequence forms and modes of the social protest are different in diverse regions of the country and among various social and ethnic groups. Spontaneous social movements triggered by the drastic fall of the living condition of the wide masses of the country’s population are the most dangerous to the ruling elite. Certain steps of the local authorities which allow big business to exploit mineral and land resources and as a consequence deny local population of traditional sources of their livelihood derive strong protests and waves of mass demonstrations. Globalization which penetrates the country’s economy, political and social democratization and westernization provoke protest movements under Islamic banners and increase Islamic trends in Indonesian society. Nevertheless we may draw a conclusion that political risks following from social protest movements in contemporary Indonesia appeared to be minimal both to the ruling authorities and to the stability of the country’s political system.

The levels of sPD-1 and sPD-L1 were analyzed in blood serum of 132 patients (age 14-70 years) with primary bone tumors: osteosarcoma (N=39), chondrosarcoma (N=42), Ewing sarcoma (N=9), chordoma (N=12), giant-cell bone tumor (GCBT) (N=16), benign neoplasms (N=14) and in and practically healthy subjects (age 19-58 years; N=27). sPD-L1 levels in all studied bone neoplasms were significantly higher than in the control. Serum sPD-1 level in GCBT patients was significantly higher than in the control, benign neoplasms, chondrosarcoma, and chordoma patients, but did not differ from osteosarcoma group. sPD-1 concentration in Ewing sarcoma was significantly higher than in chordoma and chondrosarcoma, but did not differ from the control. sPD-1 level in chondrosarcoma patients was also lower than in osteosarcoma, Ewing sarcoma, and in the control. Both sPD-1 and sPD-L1 concentrations were not significantly associated with the type of affected bone, process localization, disease stage, tumor histological grade, patients' age and sex. These results suggest the possibility of using these biological markers for preliminary assessment of the character of the process in the bone.

“Asian values” as a concept appeared in the socio-political discourse in 1990s due to the so-called Rise of Asia. Major political leaders of Malaysia and Singapore, Mahathir Mohamad and Lee Kuan Y., played a special role in their conceptual design. The discourse “Asian values” provoked a strong reaction in scientific and political circles around the world, the debates on them are still continuing. The main question regarding “Asian values” is how to determine the degree and nature of their influence on the development of the countries of the East. The purpose of this study is to identify different approaches to the assessment of this concept, the reasons for their occurrence, as well as the role and place of “Asian values” in the process of modernization in the East. As a result, it was revealed that the political situation in the region brought about the development of the concept. Owing to the struggle of a number of states for their influence on the Southeast Asian countries, the latter turned to “Asian values” as ideological sources of self-identification. Another reason is the fact that this concept allows to take into account specific ways of modernization in each country. Finally, the concept was adopted as an ideological basis for the integration process in ASEAN, which remains one of the most progressive integration associations in the Asia-Pacific region. Thus, today, the concept of “Asian values” not only proved its viability, but also became an occasion for development of similar ideas in other regions of the world. Acknowledgements. The article was prepared in the framework of the project no. 19-011-31053 “Megatrends of World Politics in the 21st Century: Spheres of Manifestation and Development” with financial support from RFBR and EISR.

For more than two generations, historians have been asking themselves whether Moscow participated in the organizational and ideological revival of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) in 1951-53. Some authors believe that the Indonesian communists defined the new party strategy and tactics independently from either Moscow or Beijing. Scholars have been eager to know whether Moscow participated directly in the promulgation of the new PKI line. Newly released documents show that Stalin played an active and personal role in the process of discussing and refining a new program for the PKI. The main ideas Stalin expressed during his discussions with the Indonesian Communists were incorporated into the new PKI program adopted in 1954, as well as in articles and speeches of PKI General Secretary Dipa Nusantara Aidit.

Results of ELISA investigation of the pretreatment sPD-1 and sPD-L1 content in blood serum of 133 bone neoplasms patients aged 6-70 years and 57 practically healthy control persons aged 12-70 years are described. In 14 patients the neoplasms were of a benign character, in 16 - borderline giant-cell bone tumor was diagnosed, and in 103 - malignant bone lesions including 39 osteosarcomas and 42 chondrosarcomas were revealed. The sPD-1 receptor concentrations in blood serum did not differ between control healthy persons and primary bone tumor patients, while serum sPD-L1 level in bone tumor patients was statistically significantly increased (p0.0000001). By means of ROC curve construction a cut-off sPD-L1 level of 16.5 pg/ml was found that imposed 75,9% sensitivity and 75,4% specificity in relation to healthy control. However, the frequency of sPD-L1 levels exceeding 16.5 pg/ml was approximately similar in benign, borderline and malignant bone tumor patients. Analysis of the pattern of sPD-1 and sPD-L1 circulation in the peripheral blood of patients with the most prevalent malignant bone tumors - osteosarcoma and chondrosarcoma - demonstrated that in both sarcoma types sPD-L1 level was significantly higher than in control, but in patients with chondrogenic tumors the soluble ligand sPD-L1 dominates in the circulation, while in those with osteogenic tumors - sPD-1 receptor prevails. In particular, sPD-1 level is statistically significantly higher in patients with typical osteosarcoma than in those with typical chondrosarcoma (p=0.002437), and sPD-L1/sPD-1 concentration ratio in chondrosarcoma is highly significantly more than 2-fold higher than in osteosarcoma (0.81 and 0.35 respectively; p=0.000284). The sensitivity of sPD-L1 ≥16.5 pg/ml test in typical osteosarcoma patients' group comprised only 70.2%, and in those with typical chondrosarcoma - 84.6%. Serum sPD-1 and sPD-L1 concentrations in osteosarcoma and chondrosarcoma patients were not associated with the indices of tumor advancement, its histological grade, localization in the osseous system, and type of affected bone. Thus, it can be concluded that the ratio between circulating soluble forms of the receptor and the ligand of PD-1/PD-L signaling pathway differs between patients with chondrogenic and those with osteogenic tumors, sPD-L1 being diagnostically valuable mostly for chondrogenic bone neoplasms.

Recently, the concept of Islam Nusantara appeared in the Islamic social thought of Indonesia. This term was officially put into circulation by the religious and educational organization Nahdatul Ulama (Revival of the Ulema) in 2015. Islam Nusantara respects cultural and religious differences as manifestations of the will of Allah, believes that love and compassion are integral features of the Muslim religion. Islam Nusantara organically does not accept the authoritarian and pretending to be the truth in the last instance interpretations of Islam, imposed by extremists. Islam Nusantara is the reinterpretation of the basic theological principles of the NU, which combines classical Islamic theology (aqeedah), jurisprudence (fiqh) and local traditions. This approach suggests that Indonesian Muslims do not need to give up their national and local identity. On the contrary, traditional values can coexist harmoniously with Islamic identity, and an orthodox Muslim can simultaneously be an Indonesian nationalist. Supporters of the concept emphasize that this is not some new trend in Islamic social thought or another interpretation of Islam. Islam Nusantara is an Indonesian version of Muslim religious practice, historically developed in the process of its dissemination on the archipelago. Islam Nusantara provokes sharp rejection and condemnation of representatives of radical Muslim movements, especially Wahhabism and Salafism and their like, who seek to purify Islam from local traditions.

Aim. To determine echocardiographic profiles and their prognostic value using factor analysis in men and women with various types of cardiomyopathies (CMP).Material and methods. The study involved 100 people with CMP — 69 men with a median age of 53 years and 31 women with a median age of 58 years. Among the subjects, six nosological types corresponding to ICD 10 classification were revealed: dilated CMP (DCM), ischemic CMP (ICM), alcoholic CMP, mixed CMP, hypertrophic CMP (HCM) and myocarditis. All persons underwent an echocardiography. Echocardiography results as variables were included in factor analysis. The resulting two factors are presented as the first and second echocardiographic profiles.Results. The first echocardiographic profile was characterized as the degree of myocardial contractile function reduction. A strong association of the first profile with DCM, alcoholic CMP and myocarditis in men (p=0,001) and DCM in women (p=0,05) was obtained. In some individuals with ICM and mixed CMP, there was no association with the first profile. The second echocardiographic profile reflected the degree of myocardial mass increase and had significant differences only in women (p=0,04). A strong correlation with the second profile was observed in HCM, in the majority of women with ICM and in some persons with mixed CMP. Fatal outcomes in men were recorded in patients with ICM (66,7%), alcoholic CMP and myocarditis, and in women with mixed CMP (11,1%).Conclusion. For patients with DCM, myocarditis, and alcoholic CMP, the first echocardiographic profile with a risk of death is characteristic. The second echocardiographic profile was inherent in HCM and was associated with a protective effect in women with ICM. The revealed echocardiographic profiles can be extrapolated to nosological types of CMP in men and women in order to verify the diagnosis and prognosis.

The influence of impurities on the solid-solution hardening of cold-rolled low-carbon steel components is considered, by calculation and experiment. To confirm the results, data regarding the influence of the chemical composition on the properties of cold-rolled 08Ю steel components (produced by Cherepovets Metallurgical Works, OAO Severstal’) are subjected to statistical analysis, with the formulation of a regression model. The factors that underlie the influence of impurities on the properties of 08Ю steel are investigated, and the optimal impurity contents for products of the highest extrusion category are established.

Independent methods of geological and molecular-biological chronologies have made it possible to define generally corresponding stages in the geological and biological evolution of the environments and communities of Lake Baikal since the Late Cretaceous, i.e., during the last 70 myr. All the abiotic elements drastically changed during geological evolution, with destruction of existing and formation of new natural complexes. Nevertheless, some specific zones retained relicts of former settings. The resulting present-day natural complex includes elements of different ages and geneses. Similar to different natural zones of the present-day Earth, which are populated by different biocoenoses, stages in the development of abiotic elements are also characterized by different faunal and floral assemblages. Some taxa were replaced by others, and the resulting aqueous biota of Lake Baikal includes different-age and ecologically different elements. The oldest groups of Baikal organisms appeared approximately 70 Ma ago, although the largest proportion of the lake biota started forming 4–3 Ma ago in response to the most drastic changes in the abiotic elements of the environment. The youngest taxa appeared 1.8 to 0.15 Ma ago, i.e., during the period when superdeep lake environments and mountainous glaciations were developing. The chronological coincidence of main stages in development of abiotic and biotic elements of the nature indicates their relationships. Particular transformations of abiotic elements and the probable mechanism of their influence on the evolution of living communities are also considered.

Precision hobs with small pitch angles and small module are of single-turn form and are as large in diameter as possible. Such hobs are used to manufacture high-precision gears with a small number z of teeth [1]. This is because, with increase in the number of turns, the increasing speed of the tooth-cutting table leads to rapid wear of the worm pair. Therefore, if the minimum number of gear teeth to be cut should be z min = 10 according to the machine tool’s ratings, this number should be k times larger when using a multiturn hob (with k turns). Thus, z min = 20 for a two-turn hob, 30 for a three-turn hob, and so on. It is expedient to cut gears with a large number of teeth ( z min ≥ 100) by means of multiturn hobs, in order to increase the productivity. In addition, as shown by the calculations, it is impossible to precisely adjust the division frame in some cases with the existing set of replaceable gears, when a single-turn hob is employed. The solution here is either to use two- or three-turn hobs (with corresponding loss of gear precision) or to manufacture additional replaceable gears for the frames.

In several experimental techniques D2O rather then H2O is often used as a solvent for proteins. Concerning the influence of the solvent on the stability of the proteins, contradicting results have been reported in literature. In this paper the influence of H2O-D2O solvent substitution on the stability of globular protein structure is determined in a systematic way. The differential scanning calorimetry technique is applied to allow for a thermodynamic analysis of two types of globular proteins: hen's egg lysozyme (LSZ) with relatively strong internal cohesion ("hard" globular protein) and bovine serum albumin (BSA), which is known for its conformational adaptability ("soft" globular protein). Both proteins tend to be more stable in D2O compared to H2O. We explain the increase of protein stability in D2O by the observation than D2O is a poorer solvent for nonpolar amino acids than H2O, implying that the hydrophobic effect is larger in D2O. In case of BSA the transitions between different isomeric forms, at low pH values the Nm and F forms, and at higher pH values Nm and B, were observed by the presence of a supplementary peak in the DSC thermogram. It appears that the pH-range for which the Nm form is the preferred one is wider in D2O than in H2O. (c) Wiley Periodicals, Inc.

Recommendations have been developed on optimizing hot rolling in the finishing train of a 2000 mill and subsequent coiling of the rolled product. The goal was to improve the stampability characteristics of steel 08Yu. Specific recommendations were also made on the optimum annealing and temper-rolling regimes to improve the mechanical characteristics of steel 08Yu. The results of studies show that the structure and properties of the cold-rolled product are significantly affected by the conditions of precipitation of different particles of nonmetallic inclusions. It is shown that it would be expedient to analyze the thermodynamics and kinetics of these processes and study the morphology of the particles and the state of the solid solution. Recommendations on chemical composition and process parameters that were developed on the basis of the results of such analysis are now making it possible to consistently obtain steel 08Yu with high properties.

Results are presented from a study of dual phase ferritic-martensitic steels (DFMS) of two compositions: 0.08% C, 1.18% Si, 1.81% Mn, and 0.39% Cr; 0.07% C, 1.16% Si, 1.79% Mn, 0.40% Cr, and 0.14% V. In order to obtain different structural parameters in the two DFMS, heat treatments were given to 3.2-mm-thick specimens of steel sheet with different initial structures: the ferrite-pearlite-bainite mixture obtained directly from hot rolling; a ferrite matrix with spheroidized carbides, obtained by heating the hot-rolled sheet and holding it at 1050°C for 1 h, cooling the sheet with the furnace to 690°C, holding the sheet at this temperature for 15 h, and then further cooling the sheet together with the furnace. The results confirmed the positive effect of “new” ferrite on the ductility of DFMS. This effect is connected not with the intrinsic properties of new ferrite but with the factors that help increase the initial volume of this component in the steel (the amount of new ferrite in the investigated steels ranges up to 20–25%).

One of the main trends in the development of materials for the body and other parts of automobiles is the greater use of high-strength steels, this being done in order to make the vehicle safer and lighter. The need for this change stems from the continual tightening of standards on tailpipe emissions. The largest metallurgical companies that presently make automobile sheet have been working with the main Russian automobile manufacturers to develop steels with improved commercial properties. This article presents results from studies conducted to optimize the technology used to make rolled products of high-strength, ultralow-carbon steels 01YuTB an 01YuPTB for the automotive industry. The optimized technology includes heat treatment in a continuous annealing furnace. Emphasis should be given to developing technical recommendations on how to optimally combine strength, stampability, and a guaranteed level of the BH-effect (BH2 ≥ 30–40 N/mm2) in the production of automobile sheet of strength class K180, as well as BH steels of strength class K220 or higher.

Bovine serum albumin (BSA) and lysozyme (LSZ) were radiolabeled with 125I. Three different methods for protein iodination with 125I were optimized. Parameters like incubation time and ratio of oxidizing agent and amount of protein were established. During protein iodination with 125I, structural damages caused by the introduction of iodine into the protein may occur. These damages depend on the oxidizing agent used and may lead to considerable changes in the protein structure and, hence, their biological activity. Changes in secondary structure of LSZ and BSA were examined by circular dichroism (CD). Enzymatic activity tests were performed with lysozyme to check its biological activity. The Iodo Bead was found the best oxidizing agent for protein iodination.

The characteristic time scale of adsorption has an important contribution to the history of adsorbed protein layers. Control over this time scale is achieved by designing a measuring cell with well-defined laminar liquid flow in parallel plate geometry to be used on a neutron reflectometer. Results obtained from adsorption experiments with lysozyme clearly show that there is an effect of adsorption time scales on the properties of adsorbed layers.

The structure of the protein layers adsorbed at different interfaces can be determined by using neutron-reflection and small-angle neutron scattering. For highlighting the adsorbed protein layer at the interface, the technique of contrast-variation by changing the H 2 O/D 2 O ratio, is often used. For determining the scattering length density, both the protein volume in solution and the total scattering length of the protein is needed. The volume is calculated from the amino-acid sequence. For calculating the scattering length, the H/D exchange of the labile protons of the protein should be taken into account. For monitoring the H/D exchange, Positive Electrospray Ionization Mass Spectroscopy was applied. We compare experimental results for the exchange in lysozyme and β -casein with theoretical calculations. The importance of using the correct protein scattering-length density is elucidated by simultaneous model fitting to neutron reflection data at different water contrasts.

An actinomyceteous strain LIA-0185 producing a heptaenic non-aromatic antibiotic of the candidin type was isolated from a soil sample taken in the Georgian SSR under the programme of screening antifungal antibiotics. The taxonomic study of the strain showed that it belonged to the series of viridoflavum and had the following main taxonomic features: the sporophores in the whorls, straight, remote: the aerial mycelium from yellow to dark-olive-grey; the substrate mycelium olive; the soluble pigment absent; the melanine pigment was produced on the peptone medium; the culture formed H2S; assimilated glucose, mannose, inozide and to a lesser extent fructose; did not assimilate arabinose, xylose, sucrose, lactose, ramnose and raffinose. The strain inhibited the growth of yeast and fungi, grampositive bacteria and actinomycetes and produced a complex of non-aromatic heptaenic antibiotics. The actinomycete differed from the other whorl cultures. It was classified as a new species Sv. griseoviridum sp. nov. The antibiotic complex was a mixture of 2 components, i. e. I and II present approximately in equal amounts. Component II was analogous to candidin. Component I was a new original substance.
