Background. Vibroacoustic therapy is used as a non-drug method of correcting respiratory disorders in various diseases, including acute poisoning. The effect of vibroacoustic therapy on blood cells currently remains unexplored.Objective. To evaluate the impact of vibroacoustic therapy on the morphofunctional rate of erythrocytes and platelets in patients with acute poisoning in patients with acute poisoning.Material and methods. Thirty eight patients with complicated acute poisoning transferred to the Toxicology Department of the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine were examined. In 19 patients, along with the standard therapy, a vibroacoustic therapy was performed using a VibroLUNG device (the main study group); the other 19 patients received only standard therapy (the comparison group). Vibroacoustic therapy began on the 2nd day after the patient admission to the Toxicology Department. The course of vibroacoustic therapy consisted of 2–9 procedures. Morphofunctional analysis of erythrocytes and platelets in all cases was performed before the start of the vibroacoustic therapy (before treatment) and before discharge from the hospital (1–2 days after completing the vibroacoustic therapy course).Results. In both groups, before treatment, we noted normal morphofunctional rate of erythrocytes and normal level of platelets with granules in the circulating blood. The level of severely damaged or altered platelets was only slightly higher than normal and did not differ between the groups. Meanwhile, in 50% of patients, platelets had a tendency to spontaneous activation and hyperactivation. Before discharge, the morph functional parameters of erythrocytes and platelets did not significantly change in both groups, while treatment with vibroacoustic therapy allowed to eliminate or reduce spontaneous platelet activation in 7 of 9 patients in the main study group. In the comparison group spontaneous platelet activation was absent in only 3 of 10 patients. In parallel, the time till pneumonia resolution turned statistically significantly reduced, by 1.5 times.Conclusions. In acute exogenous poisoning with complicated course, the risk of spontaneous platelet activation and hyperactivation increases. Vibroacoustic therapy does not violate the structural integrity of circulating erythrocytes and platelets. Vibroacoustic therapy, using the VibroLUNG device, reduces the tendency of platelets to spontaneous activation and hyperactivation, reduces the time for resolving pneumonia.

Allogeneic tendon grafts are seriously demand in knee joint plastic surgery. The novel method of tendon cryopreservation, including sterilization with supercritical carbon dioxide, was developed in N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Cryopreserved tendons retain their normal fiber structure without significant loss of mechanical properties. At the next stage it was necessary to evaluate cryopreserved tendons′ integration inside bone canal in experimental animals.The aim of study. To evaluate morphologic changes of autologous and allogeneic tendons inside the femur in rats and to determine the effect of tendon transplantation on the physical activity.Material and methods. The study was conducted on white inbreed male rats. Three groups of animals were formed: the control group (animals without tendon transplantation), the 1st experimental group – animals with autologous tendon transplantation, the 2nd experimental group – animals with allogeneic tendon transplantation. In animals of the experimental groups the through channel was formed in the distal metaepiphysis of the femur and a tail tendon graft 0.5 x 0.1 cm was placed there. To assess the physical activity of the animals, we studied maximum distance that the animals could run 3 and 6 weeks after transplantation was determined, using treadmill test. The graft structure was evaluated on histological preparations in transmitted light, stained with hematoxylin-eosin and Van Gieson′s stain. To assess the preservation of collagen fibers we checked the autofluorescence intensity of collagen.Results. According to the treadmill test, the distance run by the animals of both experimental groups did not significantly differ from the values in the control group. Histological analysis after 3 weeks in both experimental groups revealed signs of fibers′ decomposition in the absence of inflammatory infiltration and maintaining close contact with bone trabeculae. The autofluorescence intensity of the collagen fibers in grafts corresponded to normal or was close to normal. After 6 weeks, the animals of both experimental groups revealed areas of graft fusion with their own bone, Sharpe fibers were actively formed. In both groups, numerous small vessels with diameters up to 10 microns were detected in the area of tendon-bone contact. Infiltration of grafts by inflammatory cells was absent or very insignificant, active migration of fibroblasts to the tendon area was also not observed. In both groups, tendon grafts had areas where fiber decompactization was observed. In the area of contact with the bone, the autofluorescence of tendon fibers was sharply increased, which indicates the chemical cleavage of collagen. At 3 and 6 weeks after transplantation the effect of fixation (integration) of the tendon with bone tissue was observed in both experimental groups.Conclusions. Allogeneic tendon grafts did not cause a pronounced inflammatory or immune reaction in experimental animals. 6 weeks after transplantation of autologous and allogeneic tendons, the integration of grafts inside the femoral canal was observed. Cryopreserved allogeneic tendons were able to integrate into the body's own tissues without pronounced structural and functional disorders. According to the treadmill test, the distance covered by the animals of both experimental groups did not differ statistically significantly from the values in the control group (without tendon transplantation) after 3 and 6 weeks

Introduction. When performing osteoplastic craniotomy, there is a need to fill the diastasis between the skull bone and the explanted bone fragment. Grafts based on allogeneic bone chips and collagen (bone-plastic material) may be very effective for cranial bone repair in diastasis area.Aim. To evaluate the safety and clinical efficacy of osteoplastic material during the osteoplastic craniotomy.Material and methods. A retrospective and prospective clinical study was conducted at the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute for Emergency Medicine and included 12 patients treated in Urgent Neurosurgery Department with diagnoses suggesting the need for craniotomy. Allogenic osteoplastic material was obtained from a 0.7-0.9% solution of type I collagen and spongy bone chips with a fraction size of 315-630 microns. Osteoplastic material grafts were used intraoperatively at the cranioplastic stage of the operation after the main stages had been completed. The efficacy and safety of the use of osteoplastic material were evaluated clinically and radiologically in the early postoperative period.Results. In the early postoperative period, the study patients had no pyo-septic complications, severe pain or soft tissue swelling. All patients were discharged from the hospital in satisfactory condition to be followed-up by the physician or neurologist at the out-patient facility. The computed tomography performed in the early postoperative period visualized the diastasis lines along the bone flap line in the comparison group patients (without osteoplastic material); and in the main group, the osteoplastic material was clearly visualized. At computed tomography of the skull performed after 6–9 months and after 2–18 months, the signs of bone tissue consolidation were visualized in the patients of the main group. The radiodensity of the autologous bone flap in both groups did not significantly change at any periods. In the diastasis area, the radiodensity of diastasis in the main group was significantly higher than in the comparison group. Purpose: to compare the effectiveness of conventional preserved amnion and amnion saturated with platelet-rich (PRP) plasma lysate for the treatment of persistent corneal erosions (PCE) after high-risk keratoplasty.Materials and methods. 40 patients with persistent corneal erosions after high-risk penetrating keratoplasty, followed up for 12 months, were divided into two clinical groups of 20 people each. The main group of patients, aged 34 to 84, received Flexamer amniotic membrane + PRP lysate, while the comparison group, aged 41 to 80, received Flexamer amniotic membrane only. Amniotic membrane coating was used in persistent corneal erosions of penetrating keratoplasty after unsuccessful conservative treatment. The amnion was sewn 2 mm from the limb with a continuous suture and covered with a soft contact lens. As a source of platelets, we used the blood of healthy volunteers, from which platelet-rich plasma with platelet concentration of over 1000 thousand/µl was taken, which was then frozen at -40 °C and defrosted at 0…4 °C to obtain PRP lysate. The criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of both groups were the times of epithelialization, the number of amniotic membrane coatings, and the number of preserved transplants at the end of the follow-up.Results. Lyophilized amniotic membrane saturated with autologous PRP lysate growth factors was shown to be biocompatible. It was found to be safe for the patients, to reduce the epithelialization time, to reduce the number of operations required to cover the PÑE with the amnion, and to increase the likelihood of successful transparent and translucent engraftment of a penetrating keratograft.Conclusion. The use of a lyophilized amniotic membrane enriched with growth factors of autologous PRP lysate is a promising method for the treatment of PCE of the penetrating corneal graft after high-risk keratoplasty.

Structural and functional properties of the human tendon tissue complicate process of tendon-based grafts preserving. In the process of preservation, it is necessary to maintain mechanical and functional parameters of the tendon tissue as well as to provide sterility and biological safety of the graft. One could conclude effectiveness of techniques, combining tendon conservation at low temperatures and sterilization with the supercritical carbon dioxide.Aim of work: to find optimal conditions for allogeneic tendon grafts sterilization with supercritical carbon dioxide.Materials and methods. Allogeneic tendons were prepared from the tissue donors, following the rules of asepsis and antisepsis. After quarantine and confirmation of the absence of blood-borne infections the tendon grafts were divided into 3 groups: in the control group the tendons were not subjected to cryopreservation and sterilization procedures; in 2 experimental groups tendons were treated with a cryoprotector 10 % dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solution and sterilized with supercritical carbon dioxide with slow gas discharge (group 2) or with fast gas discharge (group 3); the duration of sterilization in both groups varied from 1 to 12 hours. The toxicity of the grafts was assessed in human mesenchymal multipotent stromal cells (MMSC) culture on the 3rd and 7th days. The sterility of the grafts was confirmed on the 7th and 14th day by bacteriological culture on thioglycol medium and Saburo broth. Mechanical tests were performed on testing machine LLOYD Instruments LR5K Plus with the tensile speed 5 mm/min.Results. Histological analysis showed, that in the group with slow gas discharge collagen fibers retained their integrity and topography and contained only local minor tears; in all terms of treatment, the tendon grafts were sterile and nontoxic. On the contrary, in the group with fast gas discharge there was marked damage of the collagen fibers and growth of bacterial and fungal flora was observed in the culture. The grafts of the control group and the group, where sterilization with supercritical carbon dioxide was performed with slow gas discharge for 1-12 hours, were used to evaluate mechanical characteristics. In the preserved tendons the stiffness and ultimate strain did not significantly differ from the similar values in the control (p > 0.05), on the contrary, the level of ultimate strain in all experimental specimens was significantly reduced by 1.5-2.1 times comparing to the control. Young's modulus and load at rupture in the control grafts and grafts, sterilized for 1 hour, had similar values, whereas in grafts, sterilized from 3 to 12 hours, these parameters were 1.4-2.1 times lower (p < 0.05).Conclusions. The suggested technique of tendon preservation, using cryoprotector DMSO and sterilization with the supercritical carbon dioxide, allows to obtain sterile and non-toxic grafts. The structure of cells and fibers of the preserved tendons did not significantly disturbed. For supercritical carbon dioxide sterilization of tendon grafts the most optimal processing time is 1 hour.

A clinical study of the effectiveness of delayed cranioplasty with an autologous bone flap using allogenic bone grafting material was performed. The autograft was preserved, saturated with human collagen type 1, lyophilized and sterilized. Bone-plastic material was used to fill diastases. The patient was followed up in the postoperative period for 24 months. No clinical complications were registered. Radiological and radioisotope analysis showed normal fixation of the autograft after 6, 12 and 24 months. Biopsy analysis after 12 months showed the presence of regenerative processes in the absence of inflammation. The clinical result was assessed as successful.

INTRODUCTION Development of effective biological products, based on human platelets, is very actual in regenerative medicine. The initial material for biological products’ obtaining is platelet-rich plasma (PRP), but the method of PRP isolation has not yet been standardized.AIM To assess the quality of platelets in PRP, harvested by different centrifugation modes.MATERIAL AND METHODS For platelet study, venous blood was harvested from volunteer donors. We used 3 methods for PRP-preparation, each methods included 2-stage centrifugation: 5 min 300g and 17 min 700g (Group 1); 10 min 300g and 10 min 700g (Group 2); 15 min 300g and 5 min 700g (Group 3). Platelets were examined using morphofunctional method based on vital cell staining.RESULTS In Group 1 and Group 2, the overall safety of biologically high-grade platelets in PRP was similar and estimated 55-60% of their total content in the blood. Chronic shoulder pain (CSP) is a clinical syndrome associated with inflammatory and degenerative musculoskeletal changes, characterized by pain in the shoulder that persists for at least 3 months, arising or aggravated by functional activity in this area. The frequency of CSP in the modern population reaches 20–33%, it is one of the leading causes of severe suffering, disability and seeking for medical attention. The main causes of CSP are shoulder rotator impingement syndrome (subacromial impingement syndrome), calcific tendinitis, adhesive capsulitis, shoulder and acromioclavicular joint osteoarthritis. Accurate diagnosis of these diseases is necessary for the correct choice of treatment. Differential diagnosis is carried out using tests that evaluate the function of the shoulder joint and the rotator cuff muscles (Neer, Speed, Hawkins tests, etc.), as well as using instrumental methods (ultrasound, magnetic resonance tomography, X-ray). In CSP, it is necessary to exclude septic, oncological, visceral, systemic rheumatic and other diseases, as well as musculoskeletal pathology of the cervical spine, upper chest and back, which can cause pain in the shoulder region.Therapy for diseases that cause CSP should be personalized and complex, aimed at maximum pain control and restoration of function. For this purpose, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, local injection therapy with glucocorticoids, hyaluronic acid, and platelet-rich plasma are used. In some cases, muscle relaxants, antidepressants, anticonvulsants, local injections of botulinum toxin type A are indicated. Physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation methods play a fundamental role in the treatment of CSP.

Introduction. Biological grafts, including bone chips and collagen, are supposed to be promising in the treatment of bone tissue treatment. Nevertheless, manufacturing of these grafts still needs to be standardized. Aim. To optimize methodology of osteoplastic material production, based on allogenic 1 type collagen and bone chips. Material and methods. Osteoplastic material grafts were produced, using with allogeneic bone chips 180-800 µm and type 1 collagen solution in acidic acid. We studied total integrity of graft, collagen quality, morphofunctional properties of line M-22 human cells interacting with different type of osteoplastic material grafts. Results. Procedures for manufacturing the osteoplastic material did not significantly affect the quality of collagen in its composition, while lyophilized grafts had pronounced acidogenic and toxic effects in cell culture. Soaking osteoplastic material in isotonic solution for 30 min or longer increased its biocompatibility in vitro. Adhesion properties of osteoplastic material widely varied depending on collagen concentration and bone chips size. Conclusion. Osteoplastic material prepared with allogeneic bone chips of 180–800 µm and collagen solution in acidic acid had pronounced acidogenic and toxic effects in vitro that could be considerably reduced by soaking in isotonic solution. Varying the collagen concentration and the size of bone chips one could produce biocompatible osteoplastic material grafts with high and low adhesion properties.

Purpose: To study the biological effect of a combination of platelet lysate and amniotic membrane, preserved by various techniques, on human buccal epithelium culture. Materials and methods. Human amnion transplants were preserved using 3 methods: silicate drying, lyophilization, cryopreservation. The blood of healthy volunteers was used as a source of platelets. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with a platelet content over 1000 thousand/mcl and more was isolated from the donors blood, frozen at -80 °С and defrosted at 0–4 °С to prepare platelet lysate. Growth-stimulating effect of the amnion transplants was studied in different groups: control group 1 — without amnion and without PRP lysate; control group 2 — PRP lysate without amnion; experimental group 1 — amnion without PRP lysate; experimental group 2 — amnion samples combined with PRP lysate. The study was carried out on the example of human buccal epithelium culture of 3–5 passages. The dynamics of cell growth was evaluated after 1, 2 and 3 days from the moment of seeding. The number of cells and their viability were evaluated using original methods based on vital cell staining and their examination in a fluorescent microscope. Results. All samples of preserved amnions were non-toxic and did not damage the structural and functional characteristics of the buccal epithelium. On the other hand, the use of amnion without PRP lysate did not have a growth-stimulating effect on cells. Among the amnion samples combined with PRP lysate, the combination of lyophilized amnion and PRP lysate was the most effective during the entire study period. Conclusions. Silicate drying, lyophilization and cryopreservation of the amniotic membrane makes it possible to obtain biocompatible and non-toxic transplants, based on human amnion. Lyophilized amnions are the most optimal for saturating PRP lysate. The combination of lyophilized amnion and PRP lysate stimulates cell growth in vitro without violating their structural integrity.

Introduction. Tendon grafts are widely demanded in reconstructive plastic surgery. Allogeneic tendons potentially have a number of advantages. However, the method of long-term storage of allogeneic tendons has not been optimized to date.Aim. Selection of an optimal cryoprotectant for the storage of human tendon allografts at ultra-low temperatures, which allows preserving the native tissue structure.Material and methods. We studied M. tibialis anterior tendon grafts taken from tissue donors. Endocellular/penetrating cryoprotectants (dimethyl sulfoxide, polyethylene glycol-400, glycerol) and exocellular/non-penetrating cryoprotectants (glucose solution, albumin solution) were used in the cryopreservation process. Tendon mechanical properties were evaluated using rupture and stretching-shear test, the general morphology of tendons, topography, dense and integrity of collagen fibers, preservation of cellular elements were microscopically evaluated.Results. Histological analysis showed that the safety of collagen and elastin fibers differed depending on the cryoprotectant used. At the same time, micro-fractures of collagen fibers were microscopically detected in all the experiments. In the presence of dimethyl sulfoxide, polyethylene glycol-400 and their combination the structure of collagen fibers and cells did not undergo visible changes compared to the control, whereas in all the experiments with non-penetrating cryoprotectants the topography and orientation of the fibers were clearly disturbed, deformation of many cells in the tendons was also observed.Conclusions. Cryoprotectants based on dimethyl sulfoxide, polyethylene glycol and their combinations allowed us to preserve the structural integrity of allogeneic tendons. Non-penetrating cryoprotectants did not effectively preserve the integrity of collagen fibers and cells in the tendons and cannot be recommended for cryopreservation.

The authors have presented the review of scientific literature on producing grafts intended for surgical reconstruction of ligament ruptures. The treatment of ligament ruptures in reconstructive plastic surgery could be performed by using synthetic grafts, autologous and allogenic grafts from tissue donors. Advantages of synthetic grafts include the possibility of their regular manufacturing under sterile conditions, and providing mechanical properties, high biocompatibility. However, synthetic implants significantly increase the risk of synovitis and other complications, they can not be replaced by the native tissue, and have no ability to regeneration. Autologous grafts have ideal tissue compatibility and quick biointegration, could be harvested from different anatomical sites, but commonly the graft harvesting is followed by donor site morbidity and potential risk of injury nerves, elongates operation time, bad cosmetic results. The use of autografts may be also limited by anatomical features of the patient. Allogenic ligament biomaterial could provide wide range of grafts, but in our days there is no standardized methods for ligament graft sterilization and long storage. Wellknown sterilization methods, such as ionized radiation and chemical treatment, gave controversial results. One could conclude that estimation of ligament graft viability must include a complex study of biomechanical properties, cell and fibers integrity.

BACKGROUND Fractures of the proximal humerus are more common in older adults. Two options for surgical treatment of the same fractures are routinely performed — primary arthroplasty and osteosynthesis with metal fixators. Both methods are most effective in elderly patients for augmentation of the proximal humerus. For this purpose, methyl methacrylate cement or bone allo-/autografts are used. However, the incidence of unsatisfactory functional results after surgery remains high.AIM OF STUDY To develop allogeneic graft to strengthen the proximal humerus in the osteosynthesis of a comminuted fracture with a lack of bone tissue which has osteoconductive properties and capable of being a carrier of biologically active substances.MATERIAl AND METHODS The head, neck and portion of diaphysis of a fibula of a cadaver were used for a graft. The graft 6–8 cm long was formed and saturated with a collagen solution. Ten patients with 4-fragment fractures of the proximal humerus underwent surgery. X-rays and computed tomography of the operated joint were performed the day after surgery, and then, 6 weeks, 6 months, and one year after the surgery. The follow-up period ranged from 6 to 18 months.RESUlTS When evaluating osteoconductive effect in cell culture during saturation with collagen, the content cells on the surface of bone was 5–8 thousand/cm2 and 16–18 thousand/cm2 on the sample, saturated with plasma and growth factors. The studied bone grafts were biocompatible and non-toxic for fibroblast culture. On the surface of the bone graft without collagen adhesion of minimum number of cells occurred. After saturation of the graft with collagen, the adhesive activity of cells on the bone matrix increased, which indicated the presence of an osteoconductive effect. The addition of plasma saturated with growth factors promoted an increase in the number of adhered cells; therefore, the graft can be used as a carrier of biologically active substances. Postoperative X-ray didn’t reveal secondary varus displacement of the head in any patient (except for ununiformed fracture case).CONClUSION The developed graft is non-toxic, does not possess immunogenicity, has more pronounced osteoconductive properties in comparison with native bone allografts, which contributes to its colonization with cells. The use of such a graft in clinical practice makes it possible to achieve healing of the fracture and prevent secondary displacement of fragments.

The article outlines the main stages of the formation, development and specialization of medical institutions associated with the harvesting and procurement of allogeneic tissues, considers the global practice in the field of tissue institutions, taking into account medical and legal aspects. In the second half of the XX century, the tendency has developed towards the consolidation of tissue banks and the expansion of their functional capabilities within individual states. The development of this trend in the late XX - early XXI centuries led to the establishment of international tissue banking associations. The goal of international associations of tissue banks has been to develop cooperation, standardize procedures at all stages of tissue harvesting and procurement, and form an effective legislative framework. In the Soviet Union, the procurement of donor tissues was widely developing, but in the 90s, in our country there was an abrupt decline in this field. To date, in Russia, the harvesting and procurement of allogeneic tissues is carried out in only a few institutions; the development of tissue institutions is difficult due to the lack of an adequate legal framework. The article proposes to legally differentiate the concepts of "organ transplantation" and "tissue transplantation"; as an example, the US experience in this area is discussed.

Severe diseases of the anterior eye surface, such as ulcers and erosions of varied genesis, or the consequences of the cornea and conjunctiva burns are important topical issues of ophthalmology. Purpose: to assess the suitability of existing collagen substrates based on types I and II collagen for being used as a matrix for rabbit buccal epithelium cells. Material and methods. The study involved 12 rabbits (24 eyes), on whose intact cornea a contact lens was placed. The lens was covered with a variety of type I collagen which had been obtained from rabbit tendon by acid extraction. For control purposes, a contact lens covered with collagen gel based on type II collagen and designed for healing was placed on the cornea of the fellow eye. Biocompatibility and tolerability of collagen matrixes was assessed. Results. Type I collagen obtained from rabbit tendon had no toxic action on buccal epithelial cells. The types of collagen used were found to be an optimal medium for buccal epithelial cells, which adhere well and can be delivered to the site of corneal damage. Type I collagen, which was produced by acid extraction, had an irritating effect on the rabbit cornea, which is associated with high content of acetic acid. Therefore, the technique of producing type I collagen was modified to achieve an additional reduction of acidity. Conclusion. The way of preparation and fractionating of blood from system of the bottom vena cava during operation with drawals of organs with mors of a brain is developed and approved. The new transfusion medium ~ a cellular component of blood of the donors, containing 1,7-5,4 standard doses of erythrocytes and 0,2-0,6 standard medical doses of thrombocytes is received. Biological full value and functional activity of cellular components of blood of donors-organs is shown. This cellular transfusion medium provides effective rising of oxygen-transport function of blood at an acute anaemia, moderate indemnification of a thrombocytopenia at liver transplantation.

The research objective was to study the reparative effects of the collagen type I bio-construct loaded with buccal epithelial cells, on the rabbit cornea after experimental keratectomy at various stages of treatment (on the 3rd, 7th, 14th, 3 0th days).Material and methods. The experiments were conducted on 20 rabbits of the Chinchilla breed that were operated on cornea of both eyes aiming to inflict epithelial and stromal cornea defects. The collagen-based bio-construct bearing buccal epithelial cells was placed over the cornea of the experimental eyes. The cornea of the control eyes was covered with smooth contact lens. After the surgery, a temporal blepharorrhaphy was performed and kept for 3 days. We studied macroand microscopic pattern of corneal regeneration at 3, 7, 14, and 30 days of experiment.Results. When using the collaged-based bio-construct containing buccal epithelial cells, the complete epithelialization of the corneal defect occurred at mean 7 days earlier compared to that in the control eyes. Thus, the offered bio-construct stimulated the cell migration and proliferation at early stages of treatment (3–7 days) reducing the inflammation activity.Conclusion. The bio-construct comprising a collagen type I matrix loaded with buccal epithelial cells can provide an effective treatment option for corneal defects.

In experiment we studied influence of collagen, filled with platelet-rich plasma (PRP), on rats' bone regeneration in distal humerus. Used dose of PRP contained 130–135 pg/ml platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF). According to this level of PDGF, PRP-collagen treatment rapidly enhanced trabecular bones' growth, stimu-lated angiogenesis and reduced intensity of inflammation. Allogenic PRP, addressed to all experimental animals, allowed to make humerus healing 2 times shorter.

Assessment results of the quality and clinical efficiency of cryo-preserved erythrocytes and platelets are presented in the article. It is shown that unfrozen erythrocytes and platelets are in line with both the national and foreign standards of the blood components quality.

Apheresis and pooled platelet concentrates, stored at 22°C during 5 days, were studied with morho-functional platelet rate analysis, based on vital cell staining and registration with fluorescent microscope. It was revealed that apheresis and pooled PC had, on the average, normal values of morphological and functional parameters. On the other hand, both PC kept MFPR of cells only for 2 days storage. Longer PC storage caused the significant decay of morphological and functional platelet parameters.
